The noodles, meats, and other topics come separate from the broth which is my preference, otherwise they'd probably be soggy by the time I got to it. The broth was really good. Mildly spicy as I like it and not too fatty/oily. The flavors here were wonderful. The noodle portions were solid as well. I was stuffed after eating all of this! I also got their gyoza, fries, and sausage appetizer. It was okay. The fries weren't the best, the gyoza was a little dry, but the sausages were smokey. I dropped into this place on the way home from the movies one day. I've been wanting to explore more of the places in this strip mall. It was quiet and nobody else was in the spot when I went, but I was there at an off time. Everybody that works there is super nice. Lots of open seating in booths or tables. Looks like one room has singing or karaoke at night?! The Ramen I got totally hit the spot. I love garlic Ramen. There were a lot of great flavors and textures in the Ramen and I was able to adjust the spice level on the miso. I think I went with medium it was a good level, not spicy. The karage chicken was crispy on the side moist on the inside. Love the bite-size pieces. The gyozas were OK, but I kind of found the inside a little bit mushy which left the flavor a little bit flat. But the outside texture was great. The manager lady is amazing, charismatic, and highly memorable. They're full service, they packed my leftovers. ​The Highlight (Pork Rice Bowl): Generous portion of rice and incredibly tender pork. Mixing in the egg and mayo made the dish, became the highlight of my meal. ​The Perks: Their menu is simple and straightforward, and adding extra toppings to your ramen is actually relatively inexpensive. ​The Disappointment (Shacho Ramen): This was my first meal here without fried chicken, and the Shacho Ramen unfortunately fell flat. It completely lacked the complexity and depth I was looking for. The Broth: Had the rich, heavy sesame creaminess I demanded, but it was incredibly one-note outside of that. The Spice: Level 2 had no heat at all. I asked for a side of extra spice, which helped a bit, but didn't save the dish. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good service and food. The hubby and I were happy to see that they had vegetarian ramen on the menu. We shared a spicy miso (med heat, which had the right amount of spice). We kind of wished it had more variety of veggies--felt like it was mostly cabbage, but I guess we could've gotten extra toppings to supplement. I'm giving a positive review. Interred the Chicken Wonton Ramen and found the pieces of wonton to be tiny and the dish to be very spicy despite asking for mild. As a result I could not finish the dish. I sort of blame myself for not making it clear I didn't want a spicy dish. Other than that the dish was very tasty. My guest ordered the ramen with fried chicken and his dish was not spicy at all. So I could not understand why mine was way more spicy. Our server was very nice and very busy. Came here on a Saturday evening. Surprised there was no line as the last time there was a 1 hour wait. They are located in a small strip mall where the 2 isle parking lot is one directional so you'll have to make a big circle if you can't find parking. People don't notice this and will go the opposite way and cause traffic Oddly they left the door propped out when it was getting cold outside. There was a draft going in. But it wasn't noticeable when more people started showing up and their orders came out. Guess they don't have proper ventilation when the food makes it too steamy. The staff was very pleasant. Oddly as there was not many guests, the order took a little bit longer than expected. We had the Koi Ramen, Garlic Bomb, a Chashu, and a kids ramen. All were very rich. The broth was a nice thick broth but it was overly salted and oily. It tasted good until your kidneys can't take it anymore. The odd part was there was no soft boiled egg nor seaweed, not even as an add-on. We also had the gyoza as an app, which came with a premixed sesame oil and soy sauce, we think. Such a fantastic ramen restaurant! I went with two girlfriends and we are admittedly not ramen experts! The server was a sweet angel who walked us through the menu and gave us fantastic recommendations (and did not make us feel stupid!) The curry ramen provided a pleasant spice with crispy fried chicken on top (curiously, they were late on the chicken so they served the ramen first...). Unfortunately, my tsukemen was far and away the worst I've tasted to date - the dipping broth's thin yet somehow oily consistency was surprisingly bland and the ramen was considerably thinner than other iterations. What an amazing stroke of luck that we ended up dining here tonight for my daughter's 15th birthday celebration dinner. It was a spur of the moment pivot from our original plan to eat at Benihana since the reservation system there is a complete joke! We made ours a month in advance and called an hour before to confirm only to arrive and find out that their corporate enforced policy allows for them to take reservations for up to 90 people every 15 minutes!!! After waiting almost an hour after our reservation time we decided to try our luck across the street and boy did we get lucky. This ramen place saved the day! They were close to closing but were welcoming to our group of ten, scrambled to find us a big enough table and quickly took our orders. Food came out quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was delightful and they even found candles to put in our Mochi ice cream balls and the entire wait staff (all three of them) came to sing to my daughter. I am so glad that what seemed like bad luck ended up leading us to this perfectly wonderful dining experience where we were supporting a small local business instead of a greedy corporation. I may write a separate review about Benihana so I can elaborate on the women passing out in the lobby from having to wait so long and the army of (useless) security guards who apparently were hired following a huge brawl between the staff earlier in the week... My boyfriend and I came by during lunch on Sunday, and unfortunately, we both did not enjoy our meals. I got the tsukemen and he got the ko ryu spicy ramen. For the tsukemen, the broth was very oily and the noodles were... so disappointing. Tsukemen noodles are usually thick and chewy noodles that you would dip into the broth. This, however, was literally just ramen noodles. They served plain, boiled ramen noodles on the side, not the traditional tsukemen noodles. I didn't even finish my food because it was just so sad. My boyfriend said his ramen wasn't the best either, as he didn't like the spice flavor profile used. They also only give one piece of chashu, which was also a little disappointing. Service was okay, but at least the food came out fast. Ambiance of the restaurant itself feels a bit dated but they decorated for Halloween. Overall, I would stay far from the tsukemen if you come. I've read the reviews prior and people seem to share the same opinion but I wanted to give it a shot myself and it backfired on me instead. read more

My erectile dysfunction has been cured ever since we've found this location. Depending on the type of ramen lover you are, you can get thicker based broth (shacho ramen) or their other ramen. The chashu is mid tier but the brother is EXTREMELY delicious. It calms me like how my mother used to when I was a new born. Every sip feels like the first time I've ever had colostrum. 10/10 EVERY SINGLE TIME. The service is good as well which aids the ambience in its success. We love Ko-Ryu, and come here often for its super casual, yet warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff is top notch - super friendly, helpful and attentive. No matter your preference is for broths, There is a ramen on the menu here for everyone. Our go-tos include the Koi, garlic bomb, wonton, and sometimes the chicken curry. All of the ramens here are great. As far as spice goes, there is a hint of spice in the level 1, and a nice low burn in the level 2. I typically hover between a 2 and 3 so sometimes our server will bring me some chili paste to bring it to a 2.5. If you finish a 5, they'll put your photo on the Superman wall. Finally, if you end up with leftovers, their takeout methods are the best. They package your noodles separately from the broth so that the noodles don't soak up the leftover broth overnight. We've been coming to this restaurant since it opened. They used to have Mongolian barbecue section which I really miss. One of the main reasons why we keep coming back for so many years is really because of Raquel, the best waitress there is. She really makes you feel like family and welcomes us with open arms every time. my husband and I have finally a picture on the wall because we finished a level 5 ramen. We love their curry Ramen with fried chicken, spicy ramen, and you can add Gyoza during lunch for a discounted price. The girls always get shoyu Ramen, and they are very good about letting us customize our ramens.
