Awesome ramen with great flavor! Always a favorite! The gyoza was great. I recommend it.

Walking in, there was no customer at 8:45 pm on a Friday night. The restaurant smelled of secondhand smoke, which is not good for a eating place. I moved to bar seating so the smell was better. The restroom did not have anymore liquid soap either. This would be a decent place to get ramen and small dishes since they close late, but it's not my favorite ramen spot currently. If they make changes to the secondhand smoke and liquid soap in the restroom, it would be better for their business. Their chicken karaage is really good, so would return.

So the Ramen is the best I've had n i have traveled through different states. I came her once and the broth got me hooked. I normally get craving to get it so often. My go to is the Shyo Tonkatsu Ramen. I can put up with cigarettes smell as it's like you're in Japan. The service does take a while as it's made when ordered. I have tried several times to come at 6PM as that's when it's open, but all the times I have come. It doesn't open on time. It's like when they feel like it. They gyosa is bomb too. I put up with it because the food is great. But sometimes I wish they would open on time cuz I'm hungry.

I've been to this place twice and really love their Miso Ramen. The broth was light but had a strong miso flavor.

This place is great because it's open late. It's not the best ramen but it's good enough for those nights when you are craving ramen and nothing is open or about to close. We have eaten here at normal dinner hours and not just late night. The service is quick and friendly. This time we ordered: Gyoza Shio Ramen Miso Ramen The shio ramen has a better flavor than the miso ramen. I was trying something new. I normally order the Kotteri Ramen. Try it! Enjoy!

I just got back from Japan and ran across this place in Gardena while in business. The hours they are open to def caught my eye. The place def has character and years of it. The chef greeted me and sat me at the bar. I was then greeted by the waiter who apparently just painted as he was covered with specks of paint. The menu is straight forward and has a bit to offer than standard ramen joint. I was a bit hungry so ordered karaage and a large kayteeri shoyu ramen. The karaage was piping hot when it was served with a side of mayo. The chicken texture was so airy and light. The batter thickness and texture was very good as all. The mayo works fine with it but I'm certain it would be amazing with any sauce. The flavor of the Kayteeri shoyu ramen was a bit on the stronger side for my taste. At the same time, if you compare seasoning levels in general in Japan vs in the US, that's typical. Perhaps because I just returned from a trip recently and have to recalibrate. Overall I didn't enjoy the ramen as it was somewhat typical. Overall 3 stars but karaage and authenticity pushed it up to 4.

This is definitely an unassuming, no frill Japanese eatery. I absolutely love their ramen. I really enjoy the bursting of flavor and the simplicity of the topping. For the price point, it is very hard to beat ($9.45 for a gigantic bowl). I always order the fire ramen, comes with some grounded pork and an egg. While you can't compare to a $15 ramen bowl, this place is definitely my favorite in Gardena when I just want some quick ramen. The noodles are done to perfection and service was quick.

Horrible ramen place! The place smells cigarette. We asked for a straw and this is what they gave us. I told the guy that we can't drink using these. Instead of apologizing, he insisted that this is a straw not a coffee stirrer. Don't waste your money here.

ts the most peak ramen place. it tastes so good. only downside is that it takes a little long for the food to come out. the taste makes up for it though. 10/10 recommend

quick version: open later then other ramen places in the area. quick service, low prices. Ive been coming here to this ramen shop forever it seems like. not sure how ive never reviewed this shop. So, here goes. they are open later then pretty much all other ramen shops in the south bay area. so if you have a late night craving for ramen this is your go to. Their prices have stayed consistently low even with runaway inflation. you can get a large bowl of ramen and it still costs under 11 dollars a bowl. this matters especially when other shops are charging 15+ for a regular size bowl. i like how its not super loud and noisy in here. this place hasnt change in forever and that a good thing. they take credit cards and there is plenty of parking in the lot. Whenever other shops are busy chances are they arent crazy busy here. people who dont come here are missing out. highly recommended.

This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. I ordered the extra chashu yatai ramen, which is a shoyu base ramen usually with chicken or fish broth. The chicken flavor was very prominent and the tare was very aromatic. The pieces of chashu was thinly sliced, and I wish there was more slices since it was extra chashu. The wavy thin noodles paired really well with the broth and it reminded me of the bowl I had in Japan. I was extra hungry so I also ordered a fried chicken combo with fried rice and salad. Chicken karaage was seasoned and fried perfectly. The sauce on the salad paired really well with the cabbage. Fried rice was a little soggy but wasn't expecting much. Service was pretty quick and efficient. The staff were all Japanese which added additional authenticity to this ramen shop. Everyone was very friendly. The place seemed like its been around for a while but it was very clean and felt homey.

The bowl comes topped with: * Bamboo shoots * Diced green onion * Pork belly * Marinated egg halves * Braised pork * Mushrooms * Dried seaweed If you order takeout, they package the broth separately from the noodles and toppings so the noodles don't get soggy before you get home. We knew about the original location in Gardena - but never thought about going since we were content with the location in Fountain Valley. 3 weeks ago, I was in the area of Gardena with my sister in law and decided to stop by this location for dinner on a whim with no expectations. I was very surprised to find out this Gardena location does't have the excessive lines & wait time and the servers and cooks are a lot nicer and accommodating than the Fountain Valley location. In fact, I think the food quality is slightly better qnd once again, less wait time to be served. There is a server by the name of Oswaldo at this location that's exceptional kind and helpful and is worth driving down to Gardena just to be served by him. Oswaldo is always smiling and genuinely eager to accommodate you. The servers at the Fountain Valley location are strict & militant, like soup nazis. Their rules are somewhat rigid and you couldn't even open the door to the restaurant to use the restroom without an approval from one of the workers. You were pretty much told what to do and where to sit for your meal. This Gardena location is slightly larger in space and not as tight and stuffy. And the best part, they serve Yakitori for lunch during the weekdays and weekends. Their hours seem to be more flexible. Hands down; Gardena's location is all round the best in my opinion. Maybe it because it's the original location. Trust me, I've been to the West L.A. location too and it was my least favorite location of the 3.
