My girlfriend and I were hungry after drinking all night at our friends surprise engagement rooftop party. She's always down for some late night tacos but I randomly came across this place since it was the closest to where we were. I was actually very surprised by this place since it had ramen AND tacos at the same time. I've never been to japan before but it definitely reminds me of those Yatai where they have seats around to eat at but this is a food truck instead. I ordered the #2 Tonkotsu with Black Sesame Oil. The soup was super fatty and it came with a lot of noodles. I loved all of the wood ear mushrooms it came with (I think?) THE MEAT WAS SO TENDER. They gave you 3 nice slices. I gave a piece to my gf and she was so amazed LOL. I WAS even thoroughly surprised. I wonder if they sous vide the meat. They also made their own chili sauce that had some chipotle in it which was fantastic. She had two al pastor tacos which were also SUPER GOOD. You know it's going to be a great taco when you get the sauce in a little tied up baggy and you have to bite the tip of it. All of it was $18 and we tipped some more on top. We waited a little while but only because it was super busy so it's understandable but the workers were all super nice and banged out all of the big orders pretty fast for only 2 people at 130am. Yelp says it closes at 2 but I did see them take an order after 2am. If I'm ever in the area again I would definitely come back. Although my gf still woke up with a hangover haha!

Tonkatsu with black garlic broth (so good)

My wife and I enjoy ramen and have passed by this truck multiple times on our daily walk. Today we decided to give it a try, we both got the #3 (tonkatsu with black garlic). It was delicious and we will be back. Why was it good? First we got a good amount of pork, more than most other places. We also a whole soft boiled egg were most places give you a half. The broth was also very nice!

This food truck is located and parked in front of the Toyota dealership off Western in Gardena. I always drive by this all the time and always wanted to try it. I was craving some ramen but didn't want to go to a ramen place so on my way home I drove by this truck and decided to try it finally. I got the #1 Tonkotsu shio rich pork broth which I believe was the basic one. Also looked like they raised up their prices a dollar on almost everything on the menu. Overall the ramen was good and definitely hit the spot for that late snack craving. I would get this again.

Piece of hair in my burrito :(

I'm very sad after visiting this place last time. I generally love this place and really debated writing this, but I have to be honest. I came here late on a Friday night to grab some food. My go to is usually the ramen as its a good deal and actually tastes pretty close to legit ramen. This time I wanted something different, so i went with a birrria burrito. The burrito is so cheap (I think less than $10), so I was excited to give it a try. I ordered at the truck, waited for around 10 minutes (while looking at all the Toyota cars since its next to a dealership), and got my order. I drove home and was ready to dig in. Took a few bites and it tasted great. Stuffed full of meat, rice, onions, and it comes with salsa. It was all good...until i looked a little closer and found...a piece of hair. I was so sad. It tasted good, it was reasonable, and then I had to throw it away. That being said, I'll continue to come back because I think the ramen is really worth it, but I think ill stay away from the burritos.

I'm sad to write this. I have been wanting to check this place out for a LONG time, but every time I've tried, they're not there. Finally found them there tonight, and I'm soooo disappointed. Hubby got the number 3, and said it was "fine", and I was very excited to try the birria ramen. It doesn't taste BAD, it just doesn't taste at all! The only flavor is from the cilantro and onion added on top. The broth is bland, and the meat is bland. I added the hot sauce they gave me, and it added heat without adding flavor. I'm a birria fan. I love the consommé that usually comes with it. This was not it. My least favorite thing was that there was more fat and silverskin than meat. Seriously, it was SO FATTY!! Disappointed.

Did a phone order and was told food would be ready in 10 minutes. Got there and the food was ready and packed for pick up. Prices are good, portions are great, and food tasted good! They have a little small area to sit by the truck if interested. There's all this parking as well, which is nice. They have late hours which is great! Would recommend to check their Instagram to see if they'll be open the day of.

The only reason they're not getting a fifth is their inconsistent hours Their ramen broths are delightful and delicious. The noodles are made to travel, as they come very firm. (Add your broth to the noodles and put in the microwave *on low power* for 5 minutes. Perfect bowl of inexpensive tonkatsu ramen, everytime. Now I haven't seen them, at all. Where'd you go. I miss you so.

We tried the Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen 9/10 Garlic Black sesame oil Ramen 8/10 Chicken Fried Rice 7/10 (could use more seasoning flavor) Workers were friendly & nice. Open late!

@makeMePrettie to-go food adventure! Spicy ramen. Yum!

They keep their prices simple for ramen. $10 literally. Super flavorful for what I was expecting for the price. Definitely can't beat the price, quality, portion and fast customer service. They also have tacos! Haven't tried. Bring cash. @makeMePrettie approved. I'll definitely be adding their food truck to my conversations.

First and foremost, go to facebook.com/ramenibarraoriginal and add them as a friend. They got rid of all other accounts and made a new one on Feb 16, 2022 where all of their photos and updates will be posted there. It's the best way to know if they'll be open or not (daily stories are posted). Ramen Ibarra always satisfy my late night cravings. They're pretty affordable. Their ramens are the most expensive on the menu, but it's actually a lot of food. I personally like their Tonkotsu Ramen over Shin-Se-Gumi Hakata Ramens. Their broth is really good and their chashu is great! Speaking of chashu, whenever I'm not craving for ramen, I usually get their Chashu Bowl and a side of gyoza. Their chashu bowl has become my guilty pleasure. One thing to note, their gyoza actually come in 7pcs, not 6pcs as it says on the menu. When I want something COMPLETELY different, I go for their asada burrito. Their burritos are always filling with plenty of rice, beans, and meat - not to mention, it's affordable. Check out this small, family-run, food truck. You won't regret it!

This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. I ordered the extra chashu yatai ramen, which is a shoyu base ramen usually with chicken or fish broth. The chicken flavor was very prominent and the tare was very aromatic. The pieces of chashu was thinly sliced, and I wish there was more slices since it was extra chashu. The wavy thin noodles paired really well with the broth and it reminded me of the bowl I had in Japan. I was extra hungry so I also ordered a fried chicken combo with fried rice and salad. Chicken karaage was seasoned and fried perfectly. The sauce on the salad paired really well with the cabbage. Fried rice was a little soggy but wasn't expecting much. Service was pretty quick and efficient. The staff were all Japanese which added additional authenticity to this ramen shop. Everyone was very friendly. The place seemed like its been around for a while but it was very clean and felt homey.

I was very surprised to find out this Gardena location does't have the excessive lines & wait time and the servers and cooks are a lot nicer and accommodating than the Fountain Valley location. In fact, I think the food quality is slightly better qnd once again, less wait time to be served. There is a server by the name of Oswaldo at this location that's exceptional kind and helpful and is worth driving down to Gardena just to be served by him. Oswaldo is always smiling and genuinely eager to accommodate you. The servers at the Fountain Valley location are strict & militant, like soup nazis. Their rules are somewhat rigid and you couldn't even open the door to the restaurant to use the restroom without an approval from one of the workers. You were pretty much told what to do and where to sit for your meal. This Gardena location is slightly larger in space and not as tight and stuffy. And the best part, they serve Yakitori for lunch during the weekdays and weekends. Their hours seem to be more flexible. Hands down; Gardena's location is all round the best in my opinion.
