Ramen was good, been awhile and usually go to the Garden Grove location. Large ramen is huge, good for two people. Service excellent

First time seeing restaurant at neighboring shopping complex at corner of South Street & Pioneer Blvd, Artesia (literally sandwiched in the middle of City of Cerritos. Food was mouthwatering delicious. I love their sushi & sashimi. Service was superb, I was greeted with wonderful smile as soon as I entered the door. Seating area was clean, neat and very well organized. I love my experience at Tampopo. I will definitely return. Highly recommended.

As you all know I have not asked anyone who owns a restaurant give me discounts or preferences or anything what so ever!!. Every review does come from my personal experiences and yes I have helped the little guy. Because most people don't know this, independent restaurants don't make lots of money or profit. They just survive. Truth Ok, since I don't beg or ask for anything My reviews are authentic and real. I went back to Tampopo and I needed to update you guys. And to be fair and transparent I will write this week again a review on these four's establishments. Tampopo, Marie Calendar, The Crab Shack, and others. Here is the list of what I had Simple good food Salmon sashimi And salmon roll A sake hot And lots of water and wasabi No disrespect to the food or service But look at the pictures behind the house Behind the restaurant and restaurants What a shame !!!! Shame !! I don't go to any of you for free and I will expect the best from you No excuses! Either you clean up your disgusting mess all of you and I am happily to come back!!! Not supporting any of you anymore!! What is the matter ? We will control the outcome of your success in the future Because we the consumer makes you or breaks you!! How can you pretend not to know ???? Everyone drives behind your restaurants! Yes, look everyone deserves a clean restroom and a clean restaurant from the front of the house or back!!!!!! No excuses!! I don't care anymore- when you don't care about us - we keep alive. I and everyone, all your customer base is what keeps Alive!!!

My favorite place to eat Roman and have sushi with some ice cold Asian beer . Me and wife come here our regulars here we come here once a week to have dinner after a long day, especially with this cold weather nothing like some warm Ramen.

We first discovered Tampopo at the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020, and it quickly became our go-to comfort ramen spot! While we've tried other ramen places since, none have quite measured up and keep coming back. What sets Tampopo apart is its broth--flavorful without being too rich or oily, and with just the right consistency for our taste. We've sampled all their ramen offerings, but our favorites are the classic Tampopo and the spicy variation for times when we need a kick!

Located in tozai plaza. Parking can be limited in the evenings especially weekends. I usually eat sushi here and they are decent. Two plates is quite enough for a party of two. They do have 50% off on certain menu items and they are so worth it.

Service was decent. You can hear the girls talking about their personal lives while on their not so busy times. The food was not good as I expected it to be. I've had better. The salmon and the scallop did not feel and taste fresh. Their teriyaki sauce was watered down. Easy, but busy parking lot. I don't think I would come back again.

Very good!! I live in Big Bear but was down for the night and decided to get dinner here. Very good food, totally recommend! Didn't love the ramen so 4/5 but that's my personal preference! Would try a different flavor text time

If you like sushi do not go here. Go happy sushi next to it. They are wayyyyy better. They didn't even season sushi rice. Rice suppose to be cold and seasoned but they skipped ot and put fresh hot rice below cold fish. What a joke. and bathroom smelled like pee, I had to tell male server that your bathroom smelled like a pee.

Miso soup, Gyoza (Pot Stickers), Salmon Sushiand Hulk sushi roll.

The food was amazing, flavorful and the price was decent for the amount of food received! Totally recommend

One of my favorite sushi spots to visit when I am in town. Great selection of sashimi, sushi rolls, and japanese dishes. Their service is quick and complimentary to the friendly atomsphere this cozy spot offers. I recommend the sushi boat if youre with friends or one of the combo platters!

    Tempura Crunch Salmon Roll
    Richard R.

A really good sushi spot where majority of their sushi is on a 50% off deal! Parking is somewhat difficult as it is a packed plaza, inside dining is small but many spaces to sit. I ordered to go and the servers were very nice! Their sushi is always great and the quality is pretty good, many many different options to choose from when it comes to the sushi but I recommend items from the crunch/tempura section! One thing to add is if you are looking at the menu online make sure you are looking at the right location as both locations have different options!

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 10, 2023

The last time I visited a month ago in March 2023- there's no more outdoor seating. All indoor dining.

    Do you require vaccine card?

No they did not ask for vax card - but i did have it in case.

Am I the only one having trouble calling it always sounds busy?

When the line is busy, it means we are on the phone with a customer!

Is it possible to get ramen with no MSG?

Do you guys do UberEast, DoorDash, or Postmates? I'm over in Westchester and would like to frequent Tampopo more often.

This place is located in a strip mall so there's plenty of parking. I ordered the extra chashu yatai ramen, which is a shoyu base ramen usually with chicken or fish broth. The chicken flavor was very prominent and the tare was very aromatic. The pieces of chashu was thinly sliced, and I wish there was more slices since it was extra chashu. The wavy thin noodles paired really well with the broth and it reminded me of the bowl I had in Japan. I was extra hungry so I also ordered a fried chicken combo with fried rice and salad. Chicken karaage was seasoned and fried perfectly. The sauce on the salad paired really well with the cabbage. Fried rice was a little soggy but wasn't expecting much. Service was pretty quick and efficient. The staff were all Japanese which added additional authenticity to this ramen shop. Everyone was very friendly. The place seemed like its been around for a while but it was very clean and felt homey.

This quaint little spot sits in a small strip mall on 182nd Street & Crenshaw right next to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Parking is decent, and the cozy interior gives it that authentic neighborhood ramen shop vibe, although I usually order mine to-go. My wife and I always order the Tonkotsu Ramen. The pork broth is absolutely incredible -- rich, creamy and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of saltiness poured over perfectly cooked noodles. The bowl comes topped with: * Bamboo shoots * Diced green onion * Pork belly * Marinated egg halves * Braised pork * Mushrooms * Dried seaweed If you order takeout, they package the broth separately from the noodles and toppings so the noodles don't get soggy before you get home. The price is reasonable and honestly worth every penny, and the staff is always willing to assist with questions.
