Every time I come visit my family in LA, I have to get this spot! The restaurant itself is pretty small with 6-8 tables inside. The staff here are so sweet and friendly. Definitely recommend this spot if you're in the area, the food is so fresh and delicious! Food review: Mashawi chicken salad: (5/5) Always my go to. It comes with the perfect amount of crunch, flavor, and chicken to salad ratio. I love to throw one of the garlic dressings on the salad and mix it. So delicious!! Baklava: (5/5) These are bombb! It has the perfect amount of chewiness and flakiness. I order one every time I come here.

The chicken and steak are tender, every cut is delicious.

I've been coming here for years. The food is the best. The chicken is always tender and well seasoned and the steak is juicy and tender. Make sure to get the garlic sauce, I've never had anything like it anywhere. My kids are picky eaters and they like this place more than In-n-out what!?!?! If you're looking to get your Mediterranean food fix, get it here. Epic!

If you've never had the Mashawi salad, you're absolutely missing out! The half plate is enough to fill me up. The large salad I typically share. My daughter loves the chicken shwarma with fries. Today we tried their brownies today for the first time- DELICIOUS. The owner is always sweet and inviting.

Food was great and I am someone who does not like this type of food. The kabobs were excellent and I can't wait to go back. Delicious!!!!

Best tasting chicken kabobs I've had yet. They're flavorful and juicy. All that and it's breast meat, which is normally dry and bland.

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! I will definitely be back, the food was super tasty, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the happiness, Al Hamra!

Our group of four adults and two kids came in starving. I had the chicken kabob wrap, which was a perfect burrito-sized meal, while my husband enjoyed a beef and chicken kabob plate that fully satisfied his appetite. Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it. I'll definitely rotate between this spot and Chicken Maison for future visits.

I own a business nearby and come here regularly for lunch when I need a quick bite. Service is fast, the food is always fresh, and it's perfect if you're in a rush but still want something filling and good quality. Their chicken kebob and chicken shawarma are both really good, the chicken pita wraps are always solid, and the Greek salad is fresh and well balanced. You can tell they take pride in both the quality of the food and the customer service. Overall, great local Mediterranean spot in the South Bay and definitely worth checking out.

I order falafel and it comes with a delicious side salad. All the vegetables on the salad and in the wrap are really fresh and crispy. I love that the falafel is not dry and the sauces and salad dressing are delicious, but still let the ingredients speak for themselves. They have lots of clean, comfortable seating inside or outside. There is free parking in the back. My next mission is to go in and try something new. Hopefully I will see you there!

Nestled in Riviera Village just a few blocks from the beach, Turquoise is the kind of neighborhood gem you hope never changes. This isn't your typical Greek takeout spot. Everything is made with premium ingredients, no seed oils, fragrant saffron, and an obvious passion for authentic Mediterranean cooking. We always start with their fresh-brewed green iced tea and hummus with crisp crudité. Their panini-pressed sandwiches are fantastic, and the house-made yogurt and chili sauces are so good you'll end up putting them on everything. And the lamb kebab? Hands down the best I've ever had, perfectly seasoned, incredibly tender, and something I crave long after we leave. What keeps us coming back, though, is Hameed, the owner. From the moment you walk in, he treats you like family. You can tell how deeply he cares about his guests, his staff, and every detail of the restaurant. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare these days, and it's a big part of what makes Turquoise so special. Whether you're looking for a date night, a relaxed family dinner, lunch after the beach, or a place where your dog is just as welcome as you are, Turquoise delivers every time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the restaurant is always spotless, and the service is consistently exceptional. As someone who loves discovering great food, I can honestly say Turquoise is one of the South Bay's hidden gems. Seven years later, it's still the first place we recommend to friends and the one we find ourselves coming back to again and again. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. I have a feeling you'll become a regular too. Thanks for reading.
