    The owner and I.

My first time going to turquoise restaurant, beautiful ambience, colorful, we started with appetizer, followed by entrée and dessert. We met the owner he explained about his food.I asked about Tahdig, he brought a large plate for the table. It was amazing. He explained about the food and the preparation. Everything was excellent and we go there again.

It's been a while since I last dined here. Called in for a confirmed reservation and, when we arrived, the staff acted a bit oblivious. The hostess directed us to a table - a DIRTY table. So we moved over and sat between TWO dirty tables. While waiting to order, another family arrived and were greeted with, "We have your reserved table for you" and they were seated. Seemed like a mediocre start to a meal. I asked about the owner, Hamid, and was told by the waiter, Farad, "He's probably around someplace." Quite frankly, it's Hamid's patience and kindness that has always attracted me to Turquoise. I came to celebrate my birthday month. I started with the Organic Green Field Salad (the tables on both sides of us were still filthy and remained that way almost through our entire meal). The salad great organic seasoning, it was larger than I expected and well presented. Our main courses were the Chilean Sea Bass (for me) and the Koubigeh Beef Kabob (for my guest). Both were delivered by Hamid who seems to have appeared out of nowhere. It was great seeing him and experiencing his warm greeting and kind birthday wishes. Of course the tables on both sides of us were still filthy. The Sea Bass was wonderful. Perfectly prepared and presented, one of the best Sea Bass mains courses I've had in many years. Utterly full of rich flavor and texture. My guest loved the beef kabob. I've had the lamb kabob in the past, here, and it's one of my favorite dishes. Hamid came by several times to check on us and made sure we were pleased. I did not mention the dirty tables (that finally got cleaned up about the time our dessert ice cream (my birthday gift) arrived). It was a nice ending to a nice meal.

So I'm from Detroit. And this means I'm pretty sophisticated when it comes to Mediterranean food. Particularly hummus, baba, and shawarma. We are the epicenter for this style of food. And I'm here to tell you -- Turquoise is as good -- or better than ANY Mediterranean restaurant I've been to. I ordered the salmon pesto panini that was nothing short of religion changing! Incredible service. Wonderful owner who came to visit us. And super fun outdoor vibe on a 65 degree day. Couldn't be better. This place rocks. Trust me.

Had the pleasure of enjoying a nice lunch here. Ordered the kale salad which was vibrant and decadent and the taste lived up to the visual. Ordered the chicken kabob and koobideh and must say it was one of the most juicy flavorful chicken dishes I have had the pleasure to taste. The koobideh was also seasoned and cooked to the right temperature. I definitely recommend stopping in here if your in the area to enjoy a healthy clean meal with excellent ingredients

I dropped by on a Saturday afternoon, where a few other patrons were already dining. The seating has around 6 or so tables inside that can fit around 4 each, and they also have high chairs for children! I ordered a number 17, which is the gyro, and got a side of hummus and pita then found a table to sit at. I had just finished buckling my child into the high chair when my order was delivered to my table! They are super fast here! The super friendly waiter delivered my meal, and I dug in. The gyro was stuffed with meat! This is a huge deal, since a lot of places skimp and don't give enough. So extra points to Al Hamra for a job well done. The flavor of the meat was juicy and well seasoned, super delish! The hummus and pita was good, although I usually add a bit of spices to my hummus so this one was a little plainer than I'm used to. Either way, it was a nice addition to the meal. The grand finale were the desserts! I usually go for baklava, but decided to try the knafeh, a layered cheese dessert with syrup and pistachios. Get the knafeh! The warm cheese and syrup were so delicious and made for the perfect ending to a good meal! I will definitely be back, the food was super tasty, and the people working there were friendly and helpful. Thanks for the happiness, Al Hamra!

Our group of four adults and two kids came in starving. I had the chicken kabob wrap, which was a perfect burrito-sized meal, while my husband enjoyed a beef and chicken kabob plate that fully satisfied his appetite. Honestly, the highlight for me was the warm pita served with garlic mayo, so much better than the cold or room-temperature pitas you often get at otherMediterranean spots. We also shared dessert, the kulfi cheesecake, and left completely stuffed. Al Hamra is a cozy family-run restaurant with just a few tables, but the food makes it well worth it. I'll definitely rotate between this spot and Chicken Maison for future visits.

It is a smallish window with covered patio seating. No indoor seating. Good for takeout or small groups. Plenty of parking. I've never really heard of Mexican Mediterranean fusion, but it kind of works. We ordered the family combo for lunch in hopes of feeding 5 dudes and 2 kids. Boy was there a lot of food and then some! Huge box of rice, another full of falafel, one for salad, one for sauces, and a random box of quesadillas. The meat was split between chicken and gyro, plus pita. Everything tasted great. The gyro was not classically shaved meat but more like cut burger patties but that wasn't exactly bad. There was plenty of food to take home for another meal or two. Will definitely be back, but next time will be more adventurous and try their fusion burritos or nachos

There is a ton of parking since it's in a shopping center, and the service here very helpful, quick, and nice. Lastly, the other positive for this establishment is the quantity of food. If you're looking to get full for cheap, this is your place. However, overall I did not like the food. They do market themselves as "fusion", which I guess allows them to have creative freedom over what is being served. I ordered the King Family pack, which is expected to feed 4-5 people, but in reality maybe served 7-8 people. I got 1/2 Chicken Shawarma and 1/2 Gyro as the protein, and I believe they are using the terms "shawarma" and "gyro" incorrectly... what we received was a half container of super dry chicken breast chunks and what looked like flattened hamburger patties in the other half of the styrofoam container. Neither one of these meats were prepared on a spit and shaved. The seasoning and flavor was not terrible - maybe close-ish to using a more authentic Mediterranean spice blend, but the meat was SO dry. The chicken breast chunks were disappointing, since we were expecting true shawarma (thinly sliced meat cooked on a vertical rotisserie). Same with the meat patties - which seemed like thin hamburger sliced - instead of seasoned shaved meat cooked on a rotisserie. I ordered a side of falafels, which were just OK... I wouldn't get any of those protein options ever again. It did come with a full (packed to the brim) styrofoam container of pretty decent rice and a full (also packed to the brim) of "greek salad" which contained mostly frisee and spring mix topped with diced tomatoes, diced white onions, sliced black olives, and an unusually large container of ranch dressing (and two sides of what tasted like an italian dressing or vinaigrette dressing). We also got a box of hummus (probably the best tasting thing I ate), a box of potato salad (a little runny for my taste, but flavor was ok), and pita bread (that was a little hard and stale). We lastly got a box of cheese quesadillas (very random). I didn't get to try these but they didn't look extraordinary and a bit greasy. I added on a few sauces for $6 extra - 2 really small containers of tzatziki, 2 small containers of garlic sauce, and 2 small containers of tahini. All in all, I wouldn't come back here and I wouldn't recommend this to any of my network (despite the high ratings). I WOULD probably recommend this to people who have a goal of getting full for cheap, but I was very disappointed with the quality and flavors of my $70+ meal (as well as everyone else who partook in this family meal).

The beef shawarma was so tender and the flavors had so much complexity to it. The chicken didn't quite pack the same flavor punch but the chicken was tender and juicy and you could taste all the different seasonings. I ended up getting the chicken shawarma plate on rice and it did not disappoint. Already mentioned the chicken but the rice is also very flavorful. Has a rich almost buttery flavor. It complements the chicken well. The pita is thin and not the typical fluffy pita bread you might think of. I do wish there was a little more of it but that's a minor complaint. The garlic sauce packs a punch and the red sauce is a spicy and tangy flavor. The hummus is very light and maybe because everything else was so flavor forward, this was a little bland in comparison. The people were really nice and friendly and for less than $20 to get a really tasty meal plus a drink is rare. I will definitely come back.
