Lunada Kitchen absolutely exceeded my expectations! We tried the chicken sandwich, fish tacos, and chicken tenders, and every single item was fantastic. The chicken sandwich was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fish tacos were fresh with just the right balance of flavors, and easily some of the best I've had. But the real surprise was the chicken tenders--they were honestly life-changing. Crispy on the outside, incredibly tender on the inside, and packed with flavor. I never thought I'd be raving about chicken tenders, but these are worth coming back for on their own. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it's such a great addition to the Lunada Bay neighborhood. We'll definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu! read more

Out for a Sunday drive with my husband, we randomly came upon this restaurant. It looked pretty busy so we gave it a whirl. Lunada Kitchen is adjacent to Lunada Market. There's the market and then there's the restaurant. It's fairly new, and I didn't even notice when it opened. It's predominantly outdoor, covered seating with overhead heaters. There are a handful of stool seating indoors. I've come here twice thus far. You order and pay at the counter. They give you a number, and you seat yourself. The first time I came here, I ordered the fruit waffle. They were out of strawberries, and let me know, but because there were blueberries cooked in the waffles, there were plenty of berries. It was crisp and delicious. On my second visit, I ordered the breakfast burrito, vegetarian, no meat. It comes with a side of tortilla chips with a dollop of guacamole and salsa. It's mostly filled with potatoes, so it's very filling, but tasty. I like to order the oat milk latte. Even if you're dining in, it's served in a paper cup. I like the modern atmosphere, with the wall of mirrors. So far, all the food has been delicious. The bakery items look really good, too. Staff are friendly and efficient. Luanda Kitchen is this great café located right off of Palos Verdes Drive West in PV. What they offer is a really interesting collection of not only great bakery items, if you want to get something on the go, or fully prepared breakfast and lunch dishes. The food here is really well prepared and it's very good. They also offer all of the drinks one would expect: coffees, lattes, soft drinks, waters, and the like. This place has outdoor seating. They have a large patio space with a number of table. So, as long as the weather is good, this is a fun place to sit back and enjoy your food or drink. The way this place works is that you go inside to order. The staff here are happy to bring out some water to your table if your plan to sit back and enjoy the air. Overall, the staff here are all very good, very helpful, and very nice. The one thing I will say about this restaurant that I would prefer that he did a different way is that if you're actually going to enjoy your meal at one of their outdoor tables, they provide all of their customers with drinks in a paper travel cup. I don't know? That just kind of takes the whole vibe of enjoying a tasty latte away from the drinking experience. I really believe they should provide their customers that are eating at the restaurant with their drinks in a mug. But, that's just me. Overall, this café is a great addition to PV. I will start by noting the really great service by kind and helpful young women! The young lady who took our order was helpful and patient. The servers were kind and helpful- offering items before we requested them. Good service is so rare these days it's certainly worth noting!! The food was good/fine. We got the steak and eggs (nothing special- 8/10) the grilled fish tacos (also simple and straight forward. Supposedly mango pico salsa but was just regular pico. But cooked well. 8/10) and two kids meals. Also fine. The French fries were really yummy- on the thicker side but not dry! But the bakery case and pastries were 10/10! The case looked straight out of a movie! Classic baked goods done well and also some interesting takes on classics- a super chunky choc peanut butter cup cookie and a pb&j bar. My family and I have eaten at the Lunada Kitchen a number of times over the past couple years. Recently they've really elevated the experience for their diners. At lunchtime their outdoor patio is consistently full, for good reason! The food is high quality and reasonably priced! I would say what stands out the most though are the staff that the owners have hired. I love love love the cafe! Hannah and Diane hooked me up with what exactly I had a taste for. It's not on the menu, but I wanted a cafe mocha to get through the day and they were both so kind and made it happen. I come in once a week for this delicious pick me up. The flat bread is basically a pizza, and I got it with the sausage. And the hummus plate had the the hummus with roased grape tomatoes and veggies, and it was really tasty. We went hiking in PV and stopped for lunch at Luanda Kitchen on my birthday. It was a nice place with generous portions and well-made burgers. Those are just a few mentions. Anything you order is going to be awesome. Outdoor heaters which are ok when the weather cooperates, but there is always take away. Really good food and great service. We've been several times for breakfast, lunch, dinner and take out and have not been disappointed once. We also love strolling over in the afternoon on Thursday and Friday for coffee and a baked good. Would normally expect this level of food in the Rivera or Manhattan beach. Ordered the chop salad on recommendation from the gala counter. $16 for a chop salad that was basically less than a cup of iceberg lettuce, 2 halves of a cherry tomato, shredded carrots and some shredded cheese, garbanzo beans. Only thing chopped was the iceberg lettuce that didn't even really cover the bottom of the bowl. So glad I ordered the chicken breast however, it was pretty dry. $30 for this salad and an iced tea. Me and my kids today went to Lanada kitchen. It was absolutely delicious. We got the truffle fries and they were perfect. The three cheese pizza was absolute heaven.
