Lunada Kitchen is adjacent to Lunada Market. There's the market and then there's the restaurant. It's fairly new, and I didn't even notice when it opened. It's predominantly outdoor, covered seating with overhead heaters. There are a handful of stool seating indoors. I've come here twice thus far. You order and pay at the counter. They give you a number, and you seat yourself. The first time I came here, I ordered the fruit waffle. They were out of strawberries, and let me know, but because there were blueberries cooked in the waffles, there were plenty of berries. It was crisp and delicious. On my second visit, I ordered the breakfast burrito, vegetarian, no meat. It comes with a side of tortilla chips with a dollop of guacamole and salsa. It's mostly filled with potatoes, so it's very filling, but tasty. I like to order the oat milk latte. Even if you're dining in, it's served in a paper cup. I like the modern atmosphere, with the wall of mirrors. So far, all the food has been delicious. The bakery items look really good, too. Staff are friendly and efficient. Parking: Free, shared lot.

Luanda Kitchen is this great café located right off of Palos Verdes Drive West in PV. What they offer is a really interesting collection of not only great bakery items, if you want to get something on the go, or fully prepared breakfast and lunch dishes. The food here is really well prepared and it's very good. They also offer all of the drinks one would expect: coffees, lattes, soft drinks, waters, and the like. This place has outdoor seating. They have a large patio space with a number of table. So, as long as the weather is good, this is a fun place to sit back and enjoy your food or drink. The way this place works is that you go inside to order. The staff here are happy to bring out some water to your table if your plan to sit back and enjoy the air. Overall, the staff here are all very good, very helpful, and very nice. The one thing I will say about this restaurant that I would prefer that he did a different way is that if you're actually going to enjoy your meal at one of their outdoor tables, they provide all of their customers with drinks in a paper travel cup. I don't know? That just kind of takes the whole vibe of enjoying a tasty latte away from the drinking experience. I really believe they should provide their customers that are eating at the restaurant with their drinks in a mug. But, that's just me. Overall, this café is a great addition to PV. Great place to grab a snack, a meal, a drink, and/or to sit back and enjoy the day.

I will start by noting the really great service by kind and helpful young women! The young lady who took our order was helpful and patient. The servers were kind and helpful- offering items before we requested them. Good service is so rare these days it's certainly worth noting!! The food was good/fine. We got the steak and eggs (nothing special- 8/10) the grilled fish tacos (also simple and straight forward. Supposedly mango pico salsa but was just regular pico. But cooked well. 8/10) and two kids meals. Also fine. The French fries were really yummy- on the thicker side but not dry! But the bakery case and pastries were 10/10! The case looked straight out of a movie! Classic baked goods done well and also some interesting takes on classics- a super chunky choc peanut butter cup cookie and a pb&j bar. The lemon bar was one of the best in the Southbay!

I love love love the cafe! Hannah and Diane hooked me up with what exactly I had a taste for. It's not on the menu, but I wanted a cafe mocha to get through the day and they were both so kind and made it happen. I come in once a week for this delicious pick me up. They also have a cute outside terrace where you can sit and eat and drink. Im looking forward to trying the food. I'm so happy I found this place and you will be too!

This place is a cute spot in Palos Verdes. You order at a counter and they deliver the food to your later. It was pretty quick service. The ahi tuna tartar was delicious and the sauce was the best! Just wish there was more wonton crisps. The kid's hot dog was bigger than we thought for a kid's size. It was a nice and pleasant surprise :) the fries were nice and crispy. The sparkling waters were interesting...it didn't taste like the flavor really and the ginger sparkling didn't even have ginger listed in the ingredients

About twenty years ago, restaurants specializing in mass customization of pizzas became a thing. A…read morelot of entrants in the category came and went. MOD Pizza (as a brand) is a survivor. I have never eaten at this location before; if I had a previous experience with the brand, it has been more than 15 years. I think this brand's differentiator is that you can choose an unlimited combination of toppings. On this occasion, I ordered a "mini pizza" with one topping ($11.09) and a fountain drink ($3.59). With tax, my ticket was $16.11, before gratuity. The pepperoni mini-pizza is sized for an individual and is sliced into four pieces. I asked for them to prepare it "house style". The positive is that the crust was very thin; and it was crisp. The amount of sauce was appropriate; and if you like a sauce that has a bit of "tang" to it, then you'll be pleased. But for a place that allows unlimited application of toppings, I felt the amount of pepperoni applied to this pie was spare. And herein lies the conflict: For what I received, I feel the pizza was overpriced. If there is value, it probably happens when you're allowed to choose your toppings. At the same time, the crust is very thin; I don't see how much the foundation can support if topped excessively. The in-store seating is clean and reasonably comfortable. The service was better than ok.

The good: This is like the Chipotle of pizzas. Your pizza is…read moremade to order and you can point at the ingredients you want on your pizza and watch as they make it. There were tons of meat, veggie and cheese options as well as drizzles and other sauces. Drinks are self-serve as well as utensils. I got a drink (Marion blackberry lemonade), pepperoni pizza and a veggie pizza 6" each for under $30. This is the 2nd Mod Pizza I've been to and the layout is pretty similar in both. I love that the pizza is made to order and you can see them stretch out the dough, add the toppings and pop the pizza in the oven in front of you. The texture of the pizza was just how I liked it. I like the thinner crust. I like how you can fold the pizza without it being floppy and I liked the dough bubbles created inside from when it cooked. Mt veggie pizza had slices of tomato (diced tomato is an option too), roasted corn, red onion and fresh basil. The fresh basil was ::chef's kiss:: magnifique. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Inside, they played music like Weezer. Our order was brought out to our booth for a dine-in experience. They have signature pizza options that are pre-built if you don't want to build your own. They also have different crust options. The workers there were quick. They offer salads and catering as well. The bad: It was kind of cold inside with a/c blowing pretty hard. It isn't cheap. The interesting: My 4 year old finished her entire 6" pizza. They have cookies as dessert too.

Our waiter was pleasant but busy. For the whole restaurant it appeared that they only had two waiters and the busboys. I have to mention that the busboys were hustling, shout out to them. They ought to switch the waiters for the busboys once in a while as I found they were doing a fantastic job. Our food was good, I ordered Linguine with Shrimp Prawns which I have to add they were not large, same size as a regular shrimp with tail and head. It was good but a little disappointing. Just for context, it was my niece's high school graduation. A day to celebrate, turned into something that made me want to write this review. We came in around 730pm, a group of 10 that had an 8pm reservation. We were hoping to get seated early but didn't expect it if it wasn't available. No biggie, but 2 large groups went in ahead right when they were going to give us the menus and the other parties got in first. Didn't really start the right way already. But moving on. We were seated outside (we didn't request a specific inside/outside) so no expectation, but the patio was cold and we asked for a heater (which they had in view) and another party requested the drapes to be opened (which is fine) but we could've used the heater and it didn't come for another 30mins. When the heater did come, it wasn't turned on for a long while and when it did get turned on, it was blazing hot and we asked a staff to turn it down. The guy turned it off. All in all it was yet again another interesting interaction. Then comes the ordering, the restaurant has daily specials and the regular menu. The waiter went around and described the specials and when we asked about the prices (the regular menu had prices) the waiter said it was a secret. Maybe it was an attempt to be humorous, but after clarifying we wanted to know the prices the waiter asked which one and had a weird reaction to our question. It was all awkward and came off very off-putting. One of the water glasses had a bug in it and we asked for a replacement. Twice. The waiter didn't replace it for along time and then he said he didn't know we were asking for a replacement. The water glass that was put in as a replacement had fingerprints, and smears on the glass and at that point we didn't want to bother. We showed it to the waiter and he was apologetic and said they ran out of glasses. (Does that mean they're giving us dirty glasses bc they ran out?) We ordered a couple of items and I think there was a misunderstanding on the order and they brought out something that we mentioned we wanted but ultimately didn't order. A busser put put the calamari on the table and we told them we canceled it. The busser graciously took it away but the waiter put it back on the table. We told him we didn't order that and he actually argued with us that we did order it. He smirked when he took it away. We ordered items and the food started coming in after 40mins. (It was busy so understandable). But it was important to note that we ordered pretty quickly and our dishes came so late while other tables next to us had their food served quicker. We didn't order anything that requires elaborate time to prepare. When the food did come, the pizza came out cold but at that point we were just done with the place. They did comp the pizza, and told me that I should've said something so they can reheat the pizza. But the culmination of our experience overall really made us not even try to call the waiter. Some of the items were decent, but it is really hard to appreciate the food when the service felt like the food was served with a side of rude. Overall it was a pretty horrible experience and would never recommend this place.

The São Paulo side was my favorite. The chicken was flavorful, the corn added a nice touch of sweetness, and the creamy catupiry brought everything together perfectly.
