[[HIGHLIGHT]]Limited outdoor seating on cute patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Menu was rather small but classic Italian options. Salad was okay.

The food was fabulous. I went with three girlfriends for dinner two of us had the salmon and 2 had the swordfish. It was delicious. Our waiter Scott couldn't have been nicer. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we could've asked for [[HIGHLIGHT]]the ambience was so nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got there when they opened at 4 PM because they do close from 3 to 4. There was nobody else there when we got there so the service was beyond reproach, but even when other people arrived Scott couldn't have been nicer to us we also got the tiramisu and spumoni they actually cut the spumoni into four equal pieces which was very nice. I highly recommend going there. Just a delicious meal and overall great service and ambience.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the few nice restaurants in PV, very nice staff and clientele too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the veal and butternut squash raviolis. Delicious, we enjoyed every bite. They give you warm bread and bruschetta to start too! Cannot go wrong.

We have been coming to Giorgio's for years and years and years, way back when they used to be up the street from The Red Onion, before the fire in 2010. We used to go all the time before kids, and then, well, kids. I'm not entirely sure why we don't go consistently because, gosh darn, the food and service is always fantastic! I'm also not sure why it has taken me so long to write a very, very well deserved and much overdue review. The wife and I squeezed in a somewhat last minute date night after checking out The Hula Hula Room (new Tiki Bar in Torrance!) on Opening Day this week so we were two Tiki drinks in and feelin' good (read: no kids...I'M KIDDING!) which, I'm sure, had nothing to do with how much we enjoyed our evening. We decided on Giorgio's for our rare date night because it is near home, ALWAYS consistently delicious and accessible (we just walked in and a table was quickly made up for us). I was comforted by the fact that they were actually quite busy on a Wednesday night. I wasn't surprised, really, because it's so good and has certainly become an institution on the hill after decades of earning that status. The people dining that night seemed to be older regulars which I always like to see. I do think the younger set tends to go for flashier Italian joints like Primo's down the hill with its beautiful dining room or the cutely appointed Avenue Italy (decent food but the service was always terrible) but at Giorgio's, the food, even if not the decor, clearly shines. Now, there's nothing wrong with the decor at Giorgio's; it is simple, clean and cozy, like that of a Ristorante you'd actually find in Italy. I do miss, however, the old school Italian decor they had when they were across Silve Spur. I can still picture the wife and I sunk into the red leather booths set in the stark white dining room decorated with columns and statues. It definitely had character. Oh, and how we miss the elegant beehived bartender, Gay, always dressed to the nines and full of conversation. ANYWAY...you really can't go wrong ordering anything on the menu. On this visit, we shared an exquisite Veal Parm ($27.95 including delicious veggies and roasted potatoes) and I felt compelled to go off menu and order Spaghetti Carbonara (probably priced around the other pastas around $20-$22). Do yourself a favor and follow my lead. That dish was INCREDIBLE and just like Carbonaras we enjoyed in Italy this past summer. And I don't mess around; I thoroughly search out the very best places for authentic cuisine when we travel. I'm telling you, this was THE BOMB. And really, the Veal Parm was solid as well. We had planned to take leftovers home for the kids...but there wasn't a single morsel left. Do remember, Chef Carlo Borelli will whip up anything you're craving. All you have to do is ask. Frankly, I'm surprised that a dish as good as the Carbonara isn't a staple on the menu. I do recall that they used to have like a three item sampler on the menu before. And they'll still make that up for you, too, as I did a year or so ago. The Chicken Marco Polo (now a still fair $23.95 on its own) was my favorite part of the Trio Sampler and is a superb chicken dish, "sautéed with onions, artichokes, roasted red bell peppers in a cream sauce flamed with sherry wine." A long time ago, dinners used to include soup or salad (their house dressing is amazing) and a side of pasta. It was a great deal and one I miss. I liked the old school way of including those extras and I like fair prices. Prices now are pretty fair and considerably less than the competition. For instance, they have a $35 ribeye steak, which is probably the most expensive thing on the menu. I don't know anywhere around where you can get a good steak at that price. Wines on the menu are also fairly priced. With a $50 bottle of Justin Cabernet (their most expensive on the menu and quite tasty) and 2 entrees, our bill for 2 came to $120 including tip. The service is always great and quick. We always love it when Giorgio (Carlo's son) himself waits on us and we also loved his bro who looks just like me (!!) and used to work there, too, a looong time ago but the rest of the staff is friendly and efficient, too. I'm sad to hear of nearby Mama Terrano's closing, but while I enjoyed it once or twice over the years, the wife was newer a fan so we always came back to Giorgio's. Giorgio's is a family run family restaurant and absolutely deserves your patronage. Remember you can order anything you'd like Carlo to make for you. Craving a hamburger? I bet he'd even whip that up for you in a jiffy. Here's a little article written up a few years ago that you might like reading: https://easyreadernews.com/return-giorgios-profile/

Somebody was celebrating graduations, there was birthdays there was a baseball team overall just a really busy restaurant. Nothing notable about the ambience overall just comfortable place for a very, just like family, friendly Restaurant vibe. I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. And General service was great. They were really busy so it wasn't anything too frequently and the manager or the owner checked in on the tables and I'm happy that we went here..

In the front there are outdoor seats and when you walk into the restaurant there's a bar on one side and booths and tables on the other. The service is decent. You get complimentary bread and oil before your meal which was delicious. We also came during happy hour which is every day from 3-5 and was $3 off starters and drinks. My husband and I shared a pasta dish and pizza. We got the Italian pizza which was kinda like a combo pizza. It had red bell peppers, olives, sausage, and pepperoni. The crust was a bit thick for my liking but it was really cheesy with the added freshly shaved Parmesan. I loved the olives but my husband is not a big olive person and thought there were too many. Our pasta was a penne pasta with asparagus, mushrooms, tomatoes, and chicken. The sauce was a light garlic sauce and the chicken was really well seasoned. Sometimes I feel like chicken in pastas are a little on the dry side but this chicken was delicious and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The complimentary bread was also so delicious. It came out warm with a nice crispy crust but soft middle. Overall I really enjoyed my meal here and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a decently priced Italian dinner.

Our food was good, I ordered Linguine with Shrimp Prawns which I have to add they were not large, same size as a regular shrimp with tail and head. It was good but a little disappointing. Just for context, it was my niece's high school graduation. A day to celebrate, turned into something that made me want to write this review. We came in around 730pm, a group of 10 that had an 8pm reservation. We were hoping to get seated early but didn't expect it if it wasn't available. No biggie, but 2 large groups went in ahead right when they were going to give us the menus and the other parties got in first. Didn't really start the right way already. But moving on. We were seated outside (we didn't request a specific inside/outside) so no expectation, but the patio was cold and we asked for a heater (which they had in view) and another party requested the drapes to be opened (which is fine) but we could've used the heater and it didn't come for another 30mins. When the heater did come, it wasn't turned on for a long while and when it did get turned on, it was blazing hot and we asked a staff to turn it down. The guy turned it off. All in all it was yet again another interesting interaction. Then comes the ordering, the restaurant has daily specials and the regular menu. The waiter went around and described the specials and when we asked about the prices (the regular menu had prices) the waiter said it was a secret. Maybe it was an attempt to be humorous, but after clarifying we wanted to know the prices the waiter asked which one and had a weird reaction to our question. It was all awkward and came off very off-putting. One of the water glasses had a bug in it and we asked for a replacement. Twice. The waiter didn't replace it for along time and then he said he didn't know we were asking for a replacement. The water glass that was put in as a replacement had fingerprints, and smears on the glass and at that point we didn't want to bother. We showed it to the waiter and he was apologetic and said they ran out of glasses. (Does that mean they're giving us dirty glasses bc they ran out?) We ordered a couple of items and I think there was a misunderstanding on the order and they brought out something that we mentioned we wanted but ultimately didn't order. A busser put put the calamari on the table and we told them we canceled it. The busser graciously took it away but the waiter put it back on the table. We told him we didn't order that and he actually argued with us that we did order it. He smirked when he took it away. We ordered items and the food started coming in after 40mins. (It was busy so understandable). But it was important to note that we ordered pretty quickly and our dishes came so late while other tables next to us had their food served quicker. We didn't order anything that requires elaborate time to prepare. When the food did come, the pizza came out cold but at that point we were just done with the place. They did comp the pizza, and told me that I should've said something so they can reheat the pizza. But the culmination of our experience overall really made us not even try to call the waiter. Some of the items were decent, but it is really hard to appreciate the food when the service felt like the food was served with a side of rude. Overall it was a pretty horrible experience and would never recommend this place.

We parked at one of the parking lots and strolled through the little village area with little shops lined on the sides. I felt a bit weirded out because it was so quiet over here. It felt like there was no one around!!! The stores too were closed I believe and it was about 6pm in the evening. Anyways, once we walked up the steps through the string-lit patio and walked inside, we were surprised at how loud and lively it was inside!!! Definitely different from what it seemed like outside. There was a man playing the piano and singing live, and there was a lot of people relaxed and eating from their seats. We were lucky with an open table so we had no wait and the whole vibe of the place felt very classy and elegant. Big smiles from our waiter, who also was very kind in celebrating our special night. He gave a lot of helpful info on what type of wine we would like to drink and poured our glasses. His service was extremely top notch. The food too was amazing!!! The Braciola di Maiale Tomahawk (essentially a porkchop plate) came with potato, tomatoes and balsamic sauce. One of the main reasons/things I was excited for was the Calamari fritti, which had a spicy tomato sauce on the side but it wasn't too bad. I absolutely loved it!!! It was flavorful, crispy, and with plenty of squid meat. I couldn't get enough! Our server also managed all of his tables expertly and combined with the voice of the guy singing romantic songs, it was a wonderful experience. 10/10 We both agree that we'd love to bring a group of friends here one day!!! The antipasti I've had so far: Pollettine, Carpaccio di Manzo, Calamari Fritti, Gnocchi Alla Romana, & the Cozze in Brodo. The Cozze & the Gnocchi are my favorites. The insalatas they have are also yummy, but I've only had a few of them. The Insalata Caprese & the Insalata di Pere E Burrata. The Pere Burrata is my favorite of the two. I haven't tried the Primi or Pizza on their menu. I have eaten many of the Secondi: Apollo Alla Parmigiana, Saltimbocca Alla Romana, Filetto di Manzo, Ossobucco Di Agnello, the Branzino con Carciofi, and the Braciola Di Maiale Tomahawk. My hands down favorite is the Tomahawk. On our most recent visit, my husband and I shared the Tomahawk. As for dessert, I've only tried the Tiramisu & the Chocolate Terrine. I prefer the Chocolate Terrine. The Tiramisu is good, but I think they use too much cocoa on top. I have had it & requested a very light dusting of the cocoa, and it was much better that way, in my opinion. The service is excellent! The servers are always friendly & give excellent insight on their favorite dishes & any specials they are currently offering.

I'm guessing since they're coming to a permanent closure, it only makes sense that the quality of the experience (food and service) had began to going down. We were seated immediately, so we were off to a good start. It took a bit of time for Daniel (yep! We got the same server from the last time) to come around and get our orders. It wasn't too bad since the wait gave us the opp to decide on apps and mains, so we got to put all our orders in at once. CALAMARI: Battered thin and crispy. Dash of lemon juice made it better. Quality? Yes. Quantity? Not so much. I thought it was pricey for the amount we got. PEPPERCORN POLPETTINE: Meatballs in cream sauce. Even with the whole peppercorns, the sauce was good. The meatballs, however, didn't taste or look homemade at all. (I recently made frozen meatball soup at home and the meatball's flavor was pretty much similar.) So.. meh... BRUSCHETTA ALLA CHECCA: This was the best app out of the three. Crostini was perfect and the toppings were all perfectly balanced. SPAGHETTI AI NERO DI SEPPIA: Looked great, but lacked flavor. Asked for fresh grated cheese and added black pepper which helped a little, but still missing something... Hubbers got the linguine pesca mare which he loved (he emptied his plate!) So I guess that says a lot. And I'm really glad he liked it, being his birthday and all. He also chose crème brûlée to finish off his birthday treat. (No, they didn't comp it - which is fine, and I don't expect them - or any business - to, even more since they are shutting down. I understand they need all the profit they can get.) Overall a little less stellar than the first visit. I'll admit I was a teenee bit disappointed since we had an amazing experience the first time. All the same, I'm still glad of the experience and wish them well on their future endeavors!

This is my first time eating here in many years and the first time at the new location. The new restaurant is beautiful, really well done. The bar area is much larger and very welcoming. I took a peek at the back banquet room too. Also very nice. So, the food... it's just what I remembered. Everything our party ordered was delicious. The portion sizes are generous. Enough that you'll be taking food home. The meal includes a salad and bread with marinaded red bell peppers and bruschetta.. the service was excellent and the staff was very friendly, but that is exactly how I remember it. I have had so many memorable meals at this restaurant. The owners have always made me feel welcome. I cannot recommend this place enough. Can't wait to return.

We ended up sitting in the bar section area to watch the World Cup game. Service was initially slow to get our orders, but once we placed our orders, food came out relatively quick. And our waters were filled very frequently. The staff were friendly and nice. While we waited for our main entrees to come, we were given a basket of bread and butter, bruschetta, and some kind of bell pepper appetizer. We had the following food items (in more simplified terms): chicken pesto, lasagna, and carbonara. Each entree also came with a simple salad. We thought the carbonara was a bit too creamy, which made it have a heavier taste than we expected. Lasagna was okay, I personally didn't eat too much of it. The chicken pesto was good and was probably my preferred dish out of the 3 that I tried. We also ate tiramisu. I personally do not like tiramisu (since I don't like coffee flavored things), but the cake itself was moist and the cream did not taste too sweet. The other people in my group seemed to have enjoyed it. Overall, it's a nice ambience. The portion was pretty big. I would likely come back to try some other pasta dishes.

Operating a restaurant is not an easy task, and as such we are understanding when something goes wrong. We are not as understanding when there are multiple issues. First off, the service was almost insulting. We had early reservations, so I don't think they were overly busy yet, but you wouldn't know that by our server. For all we know he could have been the Italian owner of the restaurant, and if that was the case, that made it even worse. Barely a greeting, no explanation of the specials, just a cheap plastic sleeve one would buy at Staples office supply thrown onto our table. He found our questions about the menu bothersome, and when I asked him about one item, he wrote it down as if I'd ordered it. Luckily we caught his error when I told him what I wanted for dinner and he said, "So you don't want the lasagna?" Um, no, I was just asking a question about the lasagna. We both ordered our meals along with the Heirloom Burrata appetizer. We asked if there was any bread with the appetizer, and he said no, so we asked for a bowl of bread to have with the burrata. It didn't show up, and we had to remind him. It finally arrived with our pasta. Oh well. My wife had ravioli stuffed with crab and lobster. She barely touched it and couldn't have been more disappointed. I told her to send it back, but she doesn't like confrontation. I had the cannelloni, and I have to steal a line I heard from another table: "This tastes like the stuffed shells I buy from Costco." It really did. I guess the pasta is homemade, but you sure couldn't tell from this dish. They came and picked up the dish without commenting on how little my wife had eaten. They asked if we wanted dessert, and, clearly expecting a no, plopped the bill down in front of me. We paid, yes we tipped, and immediately walked a few doors down to get my wife something to eat for dinner. We will never go back.

We were served by a very nice man, Josuan (maybe not the correct name spelling). He was attentive and polite. We ordered a bottle of Wine and a drink he brought them right over. We really enjoyed the delicious Cartoccio Di Pasta Al Frutti Di Mare a mixed seafood and Linguine wrapped in foil and baked was to die for, Meravigliosa. The Eggplant was equally as good. We did not know what to expect being a new restaurant now we know it was worth every penny.! Will be back, compliments to the bartender who helped us.

North Italia has a Lunch $35, Brunch $25, and Dinner $45 Prix Fixe menu through August 28, 2026. Either deal you choose, is a real steal! Our Server was Chaz, he checked on us frequently through the evening. Generally speaking, I like Italian food. The sauce marinara sauce and cheese compliment each other so well and used in many of their dishes. This is what I was expecting in my lasagna entree. One bite and my taste buds came alive, this restaurant is a scratch kitchen. The sauces are made in-house daily and everything I tasted was outstanding. My order selections were: Small Plate menu - Truffle Garlic Bread (add-on, not part of the DineLA menu). You've gotta have bread with an Italian meal. The toasted Ciabatta bread was prepared with three kinds of cheeses and a generous drizzle of truffle oil. There was a ramekin of vodka sauce for dipping. I'm now spoiled for life, I've never had a more delicious serving of garlic bread. Appetizer - Sicilian Meatballs in a creamy polenta sauce, marinara, and grana padano cheese. Three meatballs per order, hearty, and rich in flavor. Entree - Sunday Lasagna prepared with ground braised short rib, Italian sausage, marinara sauce with provolone and ricotta cheeses. First time ever having short rib in lasagna, it's a winner! Each bite is packed with flavor. My guests enjoyed the Trottole Chicken Pesto pasta, Spicy Rigatoni Vodka with Italian sausage. The portions were generous. Dessert - Salted Caramel Budino, a custard served chilled with Chantilly cream, sliced banana, and a dash of espresso fudge, topped with toasted pecan toffee nuts. This sweet and crunchy topping was outstanding. Banana Caramel Butter Cake with Vanilla Gelato dessert, nice touch to have Gelato instead of ice cream. I took a bite and it was heavenly (add-on, not part of the DineLA menu). Notes: - Children's menu - Family bake at home meals - Indoor and Patio seating - Make reservations to minimize your wait time - Online ordering/delivery - Parking in the mall lot, no charge Sincerely, Rosemary

I waited about an hour to be seated after being told the wait would only be 15 minutes. She took my name and phone number but didn't explain the process or even mention that I would receive a text message when our table was ready. I noticed several unoccupied tables, and after waiting an hour, I had to ask if we could be seated at one of them. It was only a party of two. Once we finally ordered, the food took about 45 minutes to arrive, and when it did, it was cold. For two plates, a focaccia bread, two waters, and one margarita, our bill was over $92 before tip. Considering the long wait and the cold food, it simply wasn't worth the price. The only positive part of our experience was our waitress, Mayra. She was attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service. She absolutely deserved the tip I left her. Unfortunately, because of the poor hosting experience, long wait times, and cold food, I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
