First of all this is a beautiful place with wonderful staff!! Parking is on the street or in a city lot across the street. This is a popular spot for a reason. Food is great!! Loved all we had. Great flavor! Cooked with love! I had the chicken parm. Great serving sizes so we had leftovers. All the food that passed me looked amazing so I'll have to return for more!!
Only in town for one night as we were leaving on a cruise the next day. The service and quality of the food blew us away. The portions are large. Most people seem to walk out with left overs. Even the sides, like vegetables were cooked well. We will be stopping in the next time we are in the area.
My group and I went here on a Sunday night around 7 pm. There was no wait. The main dining area has a little wall with a cute heart and lights. We ended up sitting in the bar section area to watch the World Cup game. Service was initially slow to get our orders, but once we placed our orders, food came out relatively quick. And our waters were filled very frequently. The staff were friendly and nice. While we waited for our main entrees to come, we were given a basket of bread and butter, bruschetta, and some kind of bell pepper appetizer. We had the following food items (in more simplified terms): chicken pesto, lasagna, and carbonara. Each entree also came with a simple salad. We thought the carbonara was a bit too creamy, which made it have a heavier taste than we expected. Lasagna was okay, I personally didn't eat too much of it. The chicken pesto was good and was probably my preferred dish out of the 3 that I tried. We also ate tiramisu. I personally do not like tiramisu (since I don't like coffee flavored things), but the cake itself was moist and the cream did not taste too sweet. The other people in my group seemed to have enjoyed it. Overall, it's a nice ambience. The portion was pretty big. I would likely come back to try some other pasta dishes.
This place is one of the best Italian food places in San Pedro and the local area! The food is always top-notch and I'm not joking. You'll get four days worth of food when you sit down. The food is so filled with goodness the pictures that I've included. Don't even compare. You just have to go there. They have such a perfect spot in San Pedro, where they have a couple dozen white tables, a huge banquet room, and then across the street they have a massive place where you can have a huge party! The service is always top-notch and every time I come in, they always greet us with a great smile. The twins that work there run this restaurant amazingly constantly checking to make sure my family is taken care of. Love this place
Great service, a nice and welcoming restaurant, and very affordable! The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a great place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The pasta was so delicious and creamy, and the portions were huge! They also serve bread with fresh tomatoes before your meal, plus a salad that was sooo good. Everything was delicious from start to finish. Definitely a place I'd come back to!
Best italian food in San Pedro! We were in town for a work conference and made last minute reservations for Wednesday at 6pm. We got right in after finding cheap parking across the street. For food, I got a modified dish (gnoochi with Alfredo) and a salad with ranch. My teammates got all different types of food and they all loved it. They got the house dressing in their salad and we all agreed that this salad was abnormally delicious. The free bruschetta they give and marinated veggies was such a nice treat in the beginning. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive too. We were so delighted with this place and as we were wrapping up, they bring ice cream to our table. Wowza! Highly recommend going if you're in San Pedro
Amazing. Food is amazing, service is amazing, parking is easy. Wait was short. There's not much more for which to ask. Vegetarian review: mushroom ravioli. Very good. Sauce was a creamy pink sauce and they split the meal for us, so each person got 4 giant ravioli. Salad comes for free, as does a basket of bread and some roasted bell peppers and a few pieces of bruschetta. Parking was easy- along the street or in a parking log across the street (pay to park for both). Service was wonderful. Pleasant and attentive.
I wish I had known about this place sooner! It's a pretty restaurant with great service! Our waiter was so friendly! The have bread, salad and some bell peppers before your meal comes out and all three are excellent. We ordered calamari fritti for an appetizer and it was a good portion and crisp and hot! I wish I had taken a photo but we were too hungry. We ordered the chicken pesto penne and the linguine with clams and they are also are generously portioned and delicious! The place looks like they have an upstairs room for events and another room for events. They have a bar with a tv and the patrons are couples and families. Parking was easy with a public pay to park lot across the street. I can't wait to return here the next time I visit San Pedro, what a gem!
I've gone here several times over the years. We've even had events here in the banquet rooms. The food is always great. I was here recently and we got a complimentary tiramisu because they initially gave me the wrong plate but quickly fixed it. That's great service. My one complaint is that in our last event, the bar tenders would not serve anyone in our party espresso martinis. We weren't given a reason other than they couldn't. I wasn't really happy with that because it didn't make sense. Anyway I'm sure I'll be back at some point:

I joined friends here for lunch. We arrived as they opened for lunch service. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The wait staff were very attentive to our small group. A wide variety of dishes were ordered. I opted for the traditional Lasagna...and it did not disappoint! Entrees are served accompanied by fresh bread and a green salad. I enjoyed a delicious glass of the House Chianti with my meal. The restaurant filled up quickly as the noon hour approached. This is obviously a popular local restaurant. We were never rushed and were encouraged to enjoy our time together. Parking is metered, either on the street or in the large lot across the street. This is in a quaint section of the Historic Downtown District.
Came here for my brother's birthday and we enjoyed ourselves; great service, appealing environment & descent food. My family liked their dishes, although if you like fresh pasta, you might want to consider to eat elsewhere if you're not particular on what you want in Italian cuisine. The appetizers were good, calamari and octopus salad delish! My spaghetti was ok, but everyone else seemed happy. The server is italian and was patient and helpful. We tipped 25% for the wonderful service and they sang happy birthday in Italian! Grazie!
We tried 3 different Pastas and they were all really good. The best Pesto Pasta I have tried recently, PENNE AL PESTO CON POLLO exactly what I was craving for! I didn't get to take photos of our pastas and the appetizer MOZZARELLA ALLA MARINARA and dessert Tiramisu Big Ladyfingers cause the focus was to eat, we were all hungry! Lol I was with my nieces and their friend :) Oh and the staff were very attentive and friendly!
What a great experience I had at this place for a friends birthday! The ambiance here is typical of a modern Italian restaurant. It's very welcoming and has a lot of places to sit with both inside and outdoor choices. Service was the highlight here. They were very on top of our big table and always made sure our waters were filled whenever we ran out. The owner even came out to make sure we had a fantastic birthday celebration for our group. The food was very filling. I wouldn't say it's the best quality I ever had but you get basically a three course meal with bread and pepper service, a salad, and an entree. I got the ravioli and it was pretty good. Overall, I definitely can recommend this place if you want to feel satiated. read more

Came through to celebrate my Auntie's 80th birthday, and if it weren't for this event, I most likely wouldn't have discovered this place! It was easy to find, but parking?! Not as easy. The lots across the street were all occupied, the lot (almost) adjacent to it didn't allow restaurant customers, all the closest street spots were taken. Took a minute but finally found one around the corner. I was impressed when I walked in: this eatery is poppin'! Lots of customers and a few more waiting for a table. Staff pointed us to the general direction where our private event was, and already food was set up whenever we were good and ready to go. The banquet hall was very well decorated although seating was a bit tight. There were a couple of no-shows on our assigned table so we got a bit of wiggle room. On our table were a plate of bruschetta, bread and butter ready for sharing and they were all delish. Ditto iced tea and water. Staff didn't hesitate to give more when asked. We availed of the buffet table when instructed. A couple of types of salad (regular and Caprese), a couple of types of pasta (cooked al dente and flavorful sauces), tender chicken masala with amazing sauce and mushrooms, meatballs were soft and moist... all of them made with fantastic flavor. FOOD: 5. Loved everything. SERVICE: 5. As chaotic as it was, the staff were champions at providing anything and everything the guests needed. VALUE: Can't comment on this as I was a guest... PARKING: Metered street parking only, free after 6pm. A challenge during dinner rush. I overheard someone mention a parking lot behind the restaurant, so that might be an option. OVERALL: 5, based on food and service. We enjoyed the food while we enjoyed some performances by Auntie's beautiful kids and grandkids and other family members. They're popular for a reason! Oh my god. Street parking, lots of seating inside. Beautifully decorated, they have space for events if youre looking for that! Service was great. Our poor server was also the host but he did a great job taking care of us. Food is AMAZING. I can see why they call San Pedro the LA Little Italy. Portions are HUGE!!! Quality is fantastic. What a hidden gem. I had no idea how amazing this place is! Family-owned, and it shows. This restaurant is exploding with passion in every respect. You can feel the energy when you walk in, and you can see how happy the employees are to be there. The food is as authentic as can be. Wow! It lives up to the Tuscan architecture, very nicely. The food is authentic, and the portions are very generous. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner and his beautiful family (because they all work there), hands down incredible hospitality. read more

Food is great, drinks are great, and the portions are very generous. My whole meal came out to $69 before tip (cocktail, appetizer, main course, and a salad). This is a great family spot in the PV area. I just moved here and am exploring new restaurants. The vibe is so much less stressful than LA proper. Parking was easy and seating was ready, while still having a full restaurant. They provide complimentary salad, bruschetta and bread and roasted red peppers. The carbonara and the lasagna were delicious. The staff were very friendly and their diet coke was perfect. The seafood was not our favorite, but didn't ruin our evening. I will definitely be going back for some more carbonara. It is a relaxing and fun atmosphere. There are a lot of tables, so it is a bit loud, but that is the fun of going out. read more

Went again! Same. Great friendly attentive stafff. One gentleman even got a phone charger for me because he was concerned my phone was battery low! lol. I am treated like a queen there even though I'm just a little old lady. This time I had just spaghetti and meatballs and it was incredible. I am dreaming of it still it was so good. The sauce was so meaty and the spaghetti was perfection. I love this place. Did I mention the spumoni I love spumoni. Especially in a chocolate shell. Although the place is very very busy, luckily the sound is not brutal. It is pretty well insulated because it's a good old Nice building. These people know what they are doing. read more

The hubby and I were at Rafaello's for a private event catered by them. Located on 7th Street in San Pedro. It is in a bustling neighborhood of shops and restaurants. Parking is either metered on the street or limited spaces in lots or walk to structures a block or so away. Ambiance is classic Italian and we were located in the banquet room. Nice spread for a graduation party. Arugula salad, Caesar salad, pasta salad, Alfredo, garlic bread, chicken or fish. Everything was tasty and pasta were very good. Wait staff was amazing. This place is kind of out of my way so uncertain if I would be back as a visiting customer. Food and service was great though. read more
This place did not disappoint me at all. 1st thing we were seated very fast even though they were very busy.We were greeted by the waiter very fast and he was very friendly and accommodating. We did not see garlic bread on the menus but he said even tho it wasn't on the menu they could make us some, that was great service from Alessandro. The plates are huge enough to feed 2 or 3 people. The prices are really reasonable especially for the amount of food they give you. The restaurant is kind of small and intimate but definitely gets packed. The restaurant is on the noisy side but I don't mind that at all. I got the seafood pasta and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. Both dishes were amazing the pasta is so tender and the sauce's are so good. Me and the wife really enjoyed this restaurant the food and the vibe. The menu already had me convinced, but then the owner greeted us with that warm Italian accent and boom--straight vibes from the motherland. The Italian food at Raffaella's is so authentic because of the way it's cooked and presented! I love the red peppers served as soon as you are seated. Reminds me of the way we ate at home. Always a big platter of red peppers and warm bread and butter! I have spent my last two birthdays celebrating at Raffaello's. No matter what the occasion or non-occasion, the wait staff always makes me and our guests feel special! The ambiance reminds me of home, which is New York City. You can't get any more or better Italian than a joint in Brooklyn or a more upscale place in little Italy, or an always busy place on 7th St. in San Pedro called Raffaello's. read more
Raffaello Ristorante offers a cozy ambience and reasonable prices. The menu is old-school, but the food is ample and nicely traditional. We were there on a busy night during the holiday season, so the service felt a bit rushed, but we appreciated the inviting atmosphere, good value, and generally helpful staff. read more

It's a ten out of ten for me. My son said 9.5 because it was expensive (he's 9 lol). It was a party of 6 and we ordered 6 pastas. It was 249 which is not bad for the items we had (in my opinion). It was almost empty when we arrived about 5pm and was full by the time we left. Music is average. Lights dimmed up and down a few times during our visit but it wasn't bad or disruptive. Can seem a little bit on the uppity side but casual wear was normal. It seems like the owner or LONG time staff was there. He was greeting older customers with hugs and handshakes. Made it seem like a place people come to on a regular to feel like they are having home cooked meals. Definitely a place I'll visit again. read more

This is our first time here in their new building. It is located in downtown San Pedro. It has a very fresh and new look. It is a lively place so best to make reservations. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Porcara. It was absolutely delicious. The flavors of the sauce were on point. I really enjoyed the combination of the sausage and the bacon. I'll definitely order this again. They bring fresh Parmesan cheese and offer it you. Of course I said yes and added just a touch of extra flavor. My daughter ordered the Gnocchi Al Pomodoro. She loves gnocchi and this dish did not disappoint. It was pillowy and light. The sauce shined in this dish. ( I tasted it too.) My husband ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana. It was perfectly crisp with the right amount of sauce. The fresh vegetables were cooked well with a great bite still in it. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Personally, I would have preferred it with a side of pasta, but it was still good. We ordered two desserts. The Bomba that had Spumoni ice cream on the inside with a chocolate coating on the outside. The ice cream was delicious and the chocolate coating was a yummy addition. The second was a Tiramisu. The mascarpone was light and not too sweet. We were a relatively large group trying this restaurant for the first time. We were seated right in front of the exit door, like people would actually bump to our chairs to exit! First we were treated with salad, the salad was ok but you could tell it wasn't fresh at all. We ordered a variety of pastas. The food did not arrive at the same time so some folks food got cold waiting for others to arrive. I got lobster ravioli, and it was almost disappointing. There were 5 pieces of ravioli as you see in the photo and I was still hungry when I finished. Also I didn't like the white sauce that came with it, it tasted like sour milk! Parking: there's a lot in the back and a lot in the front. Reasonable prices. I parked on the street for free. Awesome place! I've been to other pasta places that were local near here and this is the only one that warranted a review. Had the penne pesto alla pollo. Absolutely delicious with an extremely generous portion sizing. I loved it. The chicken was also well cooked and absorbed the flavours well. Service was awesome. Was attended to and my water was always filled up without having to ask anyone. Asked us to move tables because of a reservation issue and it was not a problem, but they were nice enough to compensate us. This was even before our dishes came out. The new location is much larger and more spacious. Doesn't feel as cramped and a lot of air moving through. Value was excellent. You get so much food for what you pay and it's delicious. Definitely a keeper. read more

There isn't a dedicated parking lot for them but a public parking lot available and street parking.

Are dogs allowed on outside patio?
I don't see any reason why they couldn't be on the outside patios. I can say this I didn't see any water bowls for dogs. But like I said I can't see why they wouldn't
Do they have intimate dining areas? Are there table cloths and cloth napkins? How elaborate and Italian is the wine list?
This is a family style restaurant. It's all good. Try it and you will not be disappointed. Great for special occasions. Terrific wait staff. Italian food is great. Great wine selection.
Is the gnocchi made on site?
I've been on nights where they inform you that it has been, but not always... which leads me to believe that there are SPECIAL nights that it is, but not always. Best to call and get feedback, everyone there is well informed and super friendly.
Do they still serve the bolognese sauce with sausage and pappardelle pasta?
When I tried to ordered bolognese in February 2021, they told me they do not serve this dish.
Are they re-opened for dine-in?
Yes. My friend went to pick up food last Sat, many people were dinning in.
Do you have a corkage fee?
Why wouldn't they? But they have some wonderful wines there. Call them and ask them for sure.
Do they offer vegan options?
Yes there are things on the menu and you can also customized your order.
How is lunch?
They offer the same menu for both lunch and dinner. Their god and service is always great. Because there is a lot of local business' in the area, their lunch service is pretty busy. I believe they also offer the same specials for lunch as well.…
