Best italian food in San Pedro! We were in town for a work conference and made last minute reservations for Wednesday at 6pm. We got right in after finding cheap parking across the street. For food, I got a modified dish (gnoochi with Alfredo) and a salad with ranch. My teammates got all different types of food and they all loved it. They got the house dressing in their salad and we all agreed that this salad was abnormally delicious. The free bruschetta they give and marinated veggies was such a nice treat in the beginning. The cleanliness of the restaurant was impressive too. We were so delighted with this place and as we were wrapping up, they bring ice cream to our table. Wowza! This is an update for the restaurant since they moved to their new place on 7th Street in San Pedro (The old La Conga's). I have taken my mom there several times (and as would have told you, she was a "foodie). Every time we've gone there, the food has been great and the servers really nice. This last week however, my family have been there twice, having booked them for two funeral repasts. Needless to say, it's been a tough week. But Gino and Raffaelo have been really great helping us through everything, and making it streamlined. We got the first option for their banquet menu: two kinds of pasta, chicken marsala, peppers and Calamari. It was especially nice to not have to worry at all of any details. The rooms that we used were ample and could fit a lot of people, and the bar was well stocked. It just made a tough time easier. We had been there for another funeral reception in February of 2025, when my stepfather passed away. Sauce was a creamy pink sauce and they split the meal for us, so each person got 4 giant ravioli. I've gone here several times over the years. We've even had events here in the banquet rooms. The food is always great. I was here recently and we got a complimentary tiramisu because they initially gave me the wrong plate but quickly fixed it. That's great service. My one complaint is that in our last event, the bar tenders would not serve anyone in our party espresso martinis. We weren't given a reason other than they couldn't. A wide variety of dishes were ordered. I opted for the traditional Lasagna...and it did not disappoint! Entrees are served accompanied by fresh bread and a green salad. Walked in this past Saturday around 7:15 without a reservation, which, let's be honest, is a bold move at a place that's always buzzing. Immediately greeted with a big smile and a hug from Gino. Needed a place in San Pedro to feed out-of-town guests at 3 PM on a Sunday. Raffaello was up to the task, and judging by several other large tables of multigenerational parties, we're not the only ones who found out about this family-friendly, open-all-weekend, picky-eaters-welcome house of Italian hospitality. The Grilled Octopus starter is quite tender, and my father enjoyed the swordfish special. The pastas come in huge platters, meatballs are very tender with the spaghetti, and though I felt the Manicotti alla Bolognese had a bit too much cheese filling. Parking is either metered on the street or limited spaces in lots or walk to structures a block or so away. Ambiance is classic Italian and we were located in the banquet room. Nice spread for a graduation party. Arugula salad, Caesar salad, pasta salad, Alfredo, garlic bread, chicken or fish. Everything was tasty and pasta were very good. Wait staff was amazing. This place did not disappoint me at all. 1st thing we were seated very fast even though they were very busy.We were greeted by the waiter very fast and he was very friendly and accommodating. We did not see garlic bread on the menus but he said even tho it wasn't on the menu they could make us some, that was great service from Alessandro. The plates are huge enough to feed 2 or 3 people. The prices are really reasonable especially for the amount of food they give you. The restaurant is kind of small and intimate but definitely gets packed. The restaurant is on the noisy side but I don't mind that at all. I got the seafood pasta and my wife had the spaghetti and meatballs. It's a ten out of ten for me. My son said 9.5 because it was expensive (he's 9 lol). It was a party of 6 and we ordered 6 pastas. It was 249 which is not bad for the items we had (in my opinion). It was almost empty when we arrived about 5pm and was full by the time we left. Music is average. Lights dimmed up and down a few times during our visit but it wasn't bad or disruptive. This is our first time here in their new building. It is located in downtown San Pedro. It has a very fresh and new look. It is a lively place so best to make reservations. I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Porcara. It was absolutely delicious. The flavors of the sauce were on point. I really enjoyed the combination of the sausage and the bacon. I'll definitely order this again. They bring fresh Parmesan cheese and offer it you. Of course I said yes and added just a touch of extra flavor. My daughter ordered the Gnocchi Al Pomodoro. She loves gnocchi and this dish did not disappoint. It was pillowy and light. The sauce shined in this dish. ( I tasted it too.) My husband ordered the Pollo Alla Parmigiana. It was perfectly crisp with the right amount of sauce. The fresh vegetables were cooked well with a great bite still in it. The mashed potatoes were delicious. Personally, I would have preferred it with a side of pasta, but it was still good. We ordered two desserts. The Bomba that had Spumoni ice cream on the inside with a chocolate coating on the outside. The ice cream was delicious and the chocolate coating was a yummy addition. The second was a Tiramisu. The mascarpone was light and not too sweet. Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept everything moving at a nice pace without rushing us. A nice surprise was the complimentary pizza slices and sautéed peppers served as appetizers -- a thoughtful touch that immediately set a welcoming tone. I ordered the Pollo alla Piccata ($22.95) and it was excellent. The chicken was tender, the lemon-butter sauce had great balance, and the capers added just the right brightness. Definitely a dish I'd order again. Other entrée prices ranged from about $22.95 to $27.95, including dishes like Pollo Marsala ($22.95) and Vitello Piccata ($27.95). Was attended to and my water was always filled up without having to ask anyone. Asked us to move tables because of a reservation issue and it was not a problem, but they were nice enough to compensate us. This was even before our dishes came out. The new location is much larger and more spacious. Doesn't feel as cramped and a lot of air moving through. Value was excellent. You get so much food for what you pay and it's delicious. However, our server Veo Georgio made this an experience we will never forget. He was attentive and friendly. Ciao! So glad we landed here at Raffaello! My friend and I were debating a few Italian places and we chose this one due to stellar reviews and wanting a casual nice dining experience. While waiting, we got served salads and complimentary bruschetta a nice touch by the restaurant and even bread and butter. After deliberation, we decided on the chicken parm and spaghetti with pink sauce along with the Linguini alla Pescatora (seafood linguine) - nice light sauce with lots of seafood! Pink sauce was savory and creamy. Portions are so big and the price point - can't beat it. What made our service great was our waiter Giorgio, gave us his recs for food and wine. He even brought out hot pepper flakes (yum) for us and a bowl of parm- this place means business! At the end, he welcomed us for joining them for the first time and helped us pack our food up but not before a complimentary tiramisu. Now I'm not a wet cake person, but this tiramisu was devine... I just visited here for the third time and it's time for a review. The food here is delicious and definitely worth a visit. On this visit I had a very simple Rigatoni with chicken in a light pesto sauce. The pasta was cooked perfectly. None of that overdone mushy pasta that some places serve up. Lots of tender chicken made this a fantastic meal. My entrée also came with a nice dinner salad to start plus complimentary bread and roasted red peppers. Inside the place is very clean and laid out nicely. All the staff are very friendly and do everything they can to help make your meal enjoyable. Amazing food, great location! This was my first time at Raffaello's, and I definitely plan to return. The location is charming, clean, and it was adorable seeing the father/son duo in action! For starters, I got the calamari (of course). This was actually my only complaint, as my friend and I both found the calamari to be very salty. The salad and bread brought to the table were good, and the chunks of tomato they give with the bread were delicious. For my entree, I got the lobster ravioli, which was delectable! Every bite was perfect! I got a side of grilled shrimp that were prepared in this lemon sauce that I cannot describe! Just understand that every bite was beyond satisfying! Met an old friend here for dinner last evening. He works a lot, so it has been tricky to find a time when we could meet. We usually meet at a Seafood restaurant here in San Pedro..he suggested this place, and recommends it. Had eaten in their old location many years ago, it was mediocre at best. This new location was spacious, lively, and packed. Impressive, since a Tuesday night is often the slowest day of the week, and January is traditionally the slowest month for many restaurants. Started with a nice fresh bruschetta and some delicious Chianti. They have a full bar, and the wine was generously poured. Staff was awesome, to a person. Had a simple green salad. I requested a Raspberry vinaigrette which was listed for a different salad, waiter brought some..it made it for me. Was trying to decide between Osso Buco and the Veal Milanese (gently breaded and fried, nice lemony sauce). My friend suggested I order both..which I did. He offered to take any leftovers home. Sadly for him there WEREN'T ANY! I did take the undercooked vegetables, maybe the only "blip" of the meal. Ordered extra lemon sauce, which arrived promptly. Finished meal off with an espresso. All in all, one of very best meals I've enjoyed in a long time. Would highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a classic Italian meal and experience. Parking - There is street parking and 2 parking lots (payment required unless it's after 6pm). Make sure to read the signage about payment policies. We went on a Thursday night and were seated right away. They bring you bread and a small plate with a couple pieces of bruschetta and some other roasted veggies. Entrees come with a small salad, but neither one of us ate it. It didn't taste like it had any dressing on it, so I'm guessing there was probably only a little olive oil on them. We started with the mozzarella starter. It comes with 3 small mozzarella sticks. I don't think it was worth the price, but they were tasty. I had the Penne Mare Monti. While the portion was generous, I wouldn't order it again. It lacked flavor in my opinion and there were only about 6 pieces of shrimp total. Service was good. The one thing that was more irritating was all of the birthday singing. I understand that people want to celebrate at restaurants, but it was happening every few minutes.
