Chicken Alla Rita
Margaret R.

If you're ever in San Pedro, please grab a bite at La Siciliana! I ordered the Chicken alla Rita and was instantly impressed on how authentic the dish was! One of the most delicious & genuine Sicilian dishes I've ever had..PERIOD. No leftovers over here!! I was sad that I finished my plate lol.....that just means I got to come again very soon!!!! The restaurant is family owned & I loved the warm welcoming service here! I felt like I was welcomed in & served a home cooked meal--made with love! I appreciated the hospitality here! If I'm ever back in San Pedro, this is a MUST stop for me! :)

As soon as I met the owner, I felt I was in Italy again. The ambience, food, staff - all amazing! When you dip your bread into the olive oil- you taste Italy's authentic, peppery oil. Mamma Mia! Had the Chicken alla Rita, crisp salad, and don't leave without trying a cannolo with an espresso. Buona serata!

Okay foodie travelers, if your San Pedro plans involve any kind of "where should we eat?" moment, let me save you the scrolling: La Siciliana is the move. This place feels like you accidentally wandered into a cozy Sicilian family kitchen... except the lighting is cute, the vibe is effortless, and the food is doing the absolute most (in the best way). No attitude, no fuss--just straight-up comfort and flavor that makes you slow down and enjoy your life for a minute. Let's talk highlights because wow: Arancini that are crispy, cheesy, and basically little golden love letters. Order them. Then order them again "for the table" (we all know it's for you). Sicilian-style pizza with that airy, fluffy, "how is this crust THIS good?" energy. It's the kind of pizza that disappears before you realize you've eaten half of it. Pasta that tastes like someone's nonna is in the back keeping standards high. The gnocchi? Pillowy. The richer pasta dishes? Full comfort mode, zero regrets. And dessert... listen. The cannoli is not here to play. Crunchy shell, creamy filling, perfectly balanced sweetness. You'll say you're full. You'll still get cannoli. You'll be right to do so. But here's the real secret sauce: the hospitality. The owners are genuinely warm and welcoming in that "we're happy you're here, eat well, take your time" way that makes dinner feel like a mini vacation. And as your travel advisor, I'm always looking for those places that don't just feed you--they make you feel good. Bottom line: La Siciliana is a San Pedro gem. Authentic flavors, big heart energy, and the kind of meal that has you planning your next visit while you're still at the table. Go hungry. Leave happy. Repeat. And before you go, let's talk about the two dishes at La Siciliana that have my travel-advisor taste buds doing backflips: the lobster ravioli and the meatballs. Lobster Ravioli Picture this: silky-smooth pasta pillows, lovingly filled with rich lobster. At La Siciliana, the lobster ravioli has even been featured as a dinner-special pick-up option--so yes, it's that serious. What hits: The lobster filling has that bright "ocean air + buttery luxe" vibe. The pasta is just thin enough to let the filling shine, not so thick you're chewing chair-leg. The sauce (trust me, you'll notice) complements rather than competes--bright, slightly buttery, maybe a hint of tomato or cream--but the lobster stays in the spotlight. This dish feels like stepping your red carpet up a notch: elevated but still totally comfy. The Meatballs Now the meatballs. These are the kind you order with expectation, then your fork digs in and you thank yourself. People call them "the stars of the show," and they're not wrong. What stands out: Big, bold meatballs (yes, plural) sitting in a tomato-sauce bath that's warm, garlicky, and nostalgic the second it hits your table. Texture? Firm but tender--you bite in and the meat juices greet you like an old friend. The sauce wraps around them perfectly: a little tomato acidity, a little herb lift, maybe a touch of cheese melting into the mix. These aren't your rushed "meh" meatballs; they're "I'll remember this dinner" meatballs. In short: if you go for only one of these, you'll leave satisfied. But if you go for both, you're doing yourself a favor--because at La Siciliana, these dishes don't just fill your plate... they fill your "wow, that was worth it" memory bank. #lasicilianasanpedro #cruisingburgers #travelwithmonica #SanPedro #yournonnaskitchen #monicastips #youcantgowrong

Pesto Gnocchi Gluten Free al Pesto

What a delight to have dined at this amazing restaurant. Truly, this is a treasure in San Pedro's Little Italy. I ordered the linguine Alfredo and my goodness was I taken away by the taste of the sauce and cheese on the linguine. My boyfriend ordered the pesto gnocchi and it was amazing. The pesto did not have an overpowering smell and it paired so well with the gnocchi. And the arancini!! The moment of it all. They are so HUGE and delicious! I can only dream of having another arancini from this wonderful restaurant. The staff were so kind and extremely attentive. Thank you for making us feel at home.

Good pizza here it is very large. Service was good staff was kind and friendly. Generally good ambiance inside

Decent pizza salads and pasta. I had the ceasar salad with white anchovies which was just right. Service is so so but a nice family run place.

Cannolo

Oh My goodness! This place is the Italian Bomb! The lasagna bolognese was really good. Plenty of cheese and red sauce to soak up with the bread dippers. Nice portions with the Italian kiss of perfection. Really an enjoyable meal Finish off with the best Cannolo that I have ever had! Carlo's has nothing on the chef here when the Cannoli hits the bullseye! Definite return when I came back to SoCal

Can I order thru Uber eats? DoorDash is not a good app because of many failed delivery so I try to order thru Uber eats or postmate. Wish Uber eats is available soon.

Ciao Nadia, as of now our restaurant is only available through "Doordash" for any online ordering & delivery services.

Hi! Does anyone have any pictures of their pizzas? I'd really like to try this place out, but would love to see some pictures and read some feedback of their pizzas.

Hello friend! We are working on capturing high quality stills for all of our menu items. As of now you can check out our Instagram @eatlasiciliana where you will find some stories photos & videos of pizzas and more 🙂

For you see, as I passed the outside of the Artistry a comedian/MC stopped me and explained that the spot was having a comedy night. Truth be told, comedy shows are simply not my choice of sport. However, the MC tried to convince me of the value of the show with an honest attempted that I respected. And thus I paid the 5.00 dollars and entered, I was ready to laugh and hope that the comedians would fulfill the hope. Additionally, entering the Artistry would provide me a lounge to wait for my friend that was coming to pick me up, in about an hour or so. As soon, as I entered the Artistry I was pleasantly surprised. It was a cool, inviting, elegant spot that was hidden from sight. It is the type of place that you only find when the winds of chance whisk you into a moment that impact and build your life. I will be the first one to admit that the winds of chance did not take me to Oz from Kansas, but they did take me to a welcome respite of people and opportunity. And at a more grounded level, I know now where to go if I have a wine-friend visit or I need a non-rowdy bar for peace and quiet. The place is a mash-up of modern appliances, contemporary art and pieces from days gone by. It is both eclectic and like a backyard sale of a Hollywood starlet. She accumulated trophies and bobbles of worth and next to the mat they are displayed on, you also see the junk she accumulated thought-out her life. In one of my pictures I show a tv that played maybe operatic music. It was signing with word that hit a deep range. This picture also has one of those fans that no longer have blades. The wind comes from an oval shape--- modern science. Another picture shows a Native American picture with a full headdress. It would be dynamic on a runway. Another picture shows a painting that seemed to be one of those famous food stills. So yeah, the collection that makes up the them decor is broad. I can only describe it as a wine cellar that was decorated by three friends, each of them with their own style. The friends were also young, like early 20s, so their taste and vision had not crystallized within them so there was no way they could take their three styles and make it one song in the same key. I also noticed that the menu had the word with misspelled. The typo added to the magic and hodgepodge of the place. Maria who works there, was a gem, a treasure, and the Hope diamond. I twisted my ankle a bit and it hurt to move, hence the stroll around town and not a hike to reach a top. I asked her to pour me a glass of water because I was sitting down, and getting up to reach the table, would make the pain amp up. She served me water and I apologized for being too needy as a customer who had become a patient. She then asked me if she could move the table closer to me. I said yes. She struggled a bit to move a table that looked like barrel, with a glass atop, and seemed to be full of wine corks, but it might have been just a layer that suggested fullness. She still managed to push the table. Now I could easily stretch and drink water. I thanked her for her work and kindness. And she said something so beautiful at it is core: I am here to serve. Thank you Maria for being of service. I ordered a fruity wine. I am not a wine drinker. The server suggested that one. Once I tasted it, it tasted like juice. The server compared it to a Capri Sun. Yeah, it kind of was. Then I drank more and I did not like it. I asked myself why? Like what specifically made me not like this wine? And all I could come up with was, "it tasted cheap." I felt bad for just describing something as cheap without further detail. Then I saw the bill. The wine was only 10.00 dollars. So it was a cheap wine. I mean right now, given inflation, what cocktail or pour is less than 10:00 dollars? A cheap one. And when I say cheap it does not mean that it lacks richness or attire from a brand name store. When I say that it is cheap I mean that it did not have depth of experience. It was cheap in the way that cheap perfume is, it does not have a layered complicated presence or scent and what it offers is lack of nuance, personality, hype and posture. Like cheap furniture, it's promise and function are soon broken. I would go here and try other wines. And who knows maybe one day I will find one that makes me a wine convert.

This bar has become my usual haunt, or watering hole, or my third place. I once heard someone talk…read moreabout how each person needs three places to be happy-- a job that fits well, a home that feels peaceful and the third place is one where one feels like one with the crowd. They are just a regular person, not their woes, hopes, titles (or lack there of), they are another joe/jane/jonx, and are seen as such, with respect and acceptance. I do not know if Crimsin has become my third place, I love the gym, and places where I am invited to romp, and places where culture has esteem, but this place is definitely a place where I feel engaged by the mood, vibe, staff, and possibility so maybe one day in the future this place will be my third, I just can't say that, today. This place is definitely a dive bar--- meaning one comes for the beers and the shots, not necessarily to be impressed on transported by a mixologist. For me that was a point against the house of Crimsin, but then an unlikely hero came into play: Channel. I think I got her name right, I can easily see how an S can replaced the C. Whether her name is spelled with an S or C, one thing is clear, her talents are a gift to this place. I described to her how I do not really like the taste of alcohol, thus I gravitate toward drinks that are sugary cocktails. She took my limited explanation and concocted a raspberry lemon drop worthy of being held by a rom-com heroine as she described her latest fancy-free quarrel with her best friend in a NY hot-spot. Of course, both the heroine and the the bff have french tip nails that are to die. Since understanding my flavor profile, and my proclivities toward glitz in sip, she has crafted wonderful drink after wonderful drink. I appreciate her candy apple cocktail, and her black bitters drink that she warned me about before sipping, real bitters were in the drink, so I may have to chew or straight-up gulp. If you are in the area, port before a cruise, or coming to or from the fish market, stop here and ask for her, if you tend to like a drink served in martini glass. However, Jules, another bartender from this joint recently made me a blueberry cocktail- that I loved to the last hearty sip- and she served in a regular glass. I always paired cocktails with martini glasses, like I imagine coffee on a mug, but if you let it cool morning coffee would taste just as good in milk glass. The place has a man-cave kind of feel for sure. In the back there is a pool table (put a quarter down if you wan to play) that is often populated. If you never play pool, find an opponent that is at your level, and you will grow to understand its purpose. But if you play someone better than you will just hate the game. More broadly, this is true about life, that is why equity for all lives matter. They also have televisions that play all major events, and a juke box of modern times, where you can pay via an app. So this place has all the trimmings needed for a good time at bar, including a shuffle board table and a policy that allows you to bring in food from nearby eaters, or I guess even from your home. Another bar tender that you should ask for is Garrett. I stopped going for a while and then he made me feel like I could come back once and again. I really cannot remember how he did that so the words of Virgil are true--- people will often forget what you said, but you never forget how they made you feel. Weird how one can be nostalgic for a bar, but I can also see if you have. bar to call your own, that seems more ordinary than unique. A lot of people like Garrett he has this salt-to--the earth kind of vibe, which reminds most goers, that someone human can listen to you and respond with simple words that ring true, in a super good easy way. Visit Crimsin and make a Tuesday or Wednesday one where something fun can happen.
