9. Two Crispy Tacos Combination Plate
Nathaniel P.

Crispy chicken tacos, done right! I'm on the best that I found in the area. Wonderful service, great margaritas, very cozy place and higher quality food better known spots. Proper crispy chicken tacos is a staple of Southern California Mexican cuisine. He's getting harder harder to find and this is absolutely a stand out. The service is fabulous. Very prompt and courteous. The food is spectacular. Unequivocal five stars.

Amazing Mexican restaurant off of Western in the beautiful coastal city of San Pedro, California. Food and service was amazing!!! . Family owned businesses. Food super fresh !

WOW - this restaurant is the bomb, the food is simply very tasty. Amazing Melissa Chito Rojo. No one else in Napoli was one of the best we ever had. This place comes highly recommended. If I had six stars will be six star spot. And the singer Fridays and Sundays is out of this world he must come spot

We all ordered from the combos menu. My older sis got the taquitos, my other sis got enchiladas, and I can't remember what I got. The food was just okay. Nothing spectacular and not super flavorful. I think they're known for their Chile relleno? Maybe we should've ordered from the entrees. I did enjoy the chips and salsa. Super good! Parking around here is easy since it shares the same parking lot as a bunch of other businesses. It's got a very hole-in-the-wall feel. I'd be willing to try something else off their menu.

Bland and expensive. I asked for salsa roja and they gave me pico de gallo. Tiny space like the size of a shoebox.

Do they have happy hour? If so, what days and what time?

They have a small bar setup, but from the best of my knowledge, they do not have happy hour. I suggest you call to confirm that.

Are the margaritas traditional, with tequila, etc?

Yes, the margaritas are made with tequila!!

Even the other guests were friendly, which honestly made the whole experience feel even more special. We started with the ahi tuna tostada and WOW -- definitely my favorite dish of the night. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The scallops were also beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We also tried the garlic bread because so many reviews hyped it up, but honestly... it was just okay. Not bad at all, but probably the one thing I'd skip next time. The biggest surprise for me was the fish and chips because I normally don't even like fish and chips. This version was lightly breaded so you actually got flaky, flavorful fish instead of a mouthful of batter. Perfectly fried and genuinely so good. We also ordered the arugula salad which was fresh and paired well with everything else. Overall, such a great experience from start to finish. Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely warm service. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I love their Cheesy Egg Toast which is cheddar cheese & grilled Sourdough for about 12$. Their Soft Shell Crab Benedict Arnold is served on a brioche bun, with mortadella, & béarnaise sauce. It is just amazing. For lunch we love the raw bar and always start with oysters and Peruvian scallops. They are super good. Their strawberry mixed greens salad is so great. They don't always have it, but most of the time they do. The place is so pretty. It is an old cannery with modern and adorable inside decoration. It is comfortable and super clean. The service is great. I don't know if they take reservations, I would call and ask. We go at odd times and have never had a problem.

When I was lost and confused since a lot of tags were missing and I didnt recognize all the pastries they helped us identify a bunch of them. Lol, I realized later their website also lists a lot of them. The slice of cheese cake was delicious, great texture and flavor. I also love the mexican biscuits, Bought one to make breakfast sandwiches. It's savory and delicious (also huge). We got mexican tamales but next time I must get the guatemalan ones! Definitely Will be going back for more. Highly recommend La Esperanza.

The bakery is tucked into a small strip mall, and while it was buzzing with people inside, I'll admit I felt a bit intimidated approaching--there were two men outside staring, and I wasn't sure if they were customers or just loitering. Once inside though, it was a completely different vibe. The place was busy, with lots of people grabbing pastries, and the energy felt lively and welcoming. The conchas were fresh, soft, and had just the right amount of sweetness--you can tell they're made with care. Prices were very affordable, which made it even better. Even with the crowd, the service moved pretty efficiently. Overall, great pastries and worth the stop--just wish the outside experience felt a bit more comfortable. Next time I'll come earlier to hopefully grab conchas fresh out of the oven, and maybe give the tamales or chilaquiles a try.

I ordered the lasagna along with Jamie's mozzarella balls, and both dishes felt like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen. The lasagna was layered generously, with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and perfectly melted cheese on top. Each bite had depth and warmth, without tasting overly heavy. It's the kind of dish that makes you slow down and really enjoy it. Jamie's mozzarella balls were a fun way to start the meal. Lightly crisp on the outside and gooey inside, they paired really well with the marinara sauce, which had a bright, fresh tomato flavor. They disappeared from the plate quickly. The dining room has a welcoming, neighborhood feel. It's lively but still comfortable, and you can tell many guests are regulars. The team working there brought a cheerful energy and checked in just enough to make sure everything was going smoothly. Mama D's delivers hearty, satisfying Italian comfort food in a setting that feels genuinely inviting. I'd happily return when I'm craving a classic pasta night done right.
