This is my second time going to Kalaveras first time I came was because I had to stay in San Pedro for an event. Came here with my wife just to grab a couple drinks and it turned into a frustrating experience from start to finish. We were told we could sit anywhere, which was nice at first--but then we sat there for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. When a server finally came over, we still didn't even have menus. After ordering, it took another 10 minutes just to get two beers, and we never received the water we asked for. I've come both on the weekend and during the work week and haven't had any issues getting a table. During this visit, I ordered the Kala burrito lunch special. It's $3 less than the dinner price, and it includes diablo sauce and a side of beans. The Kala burrito is one of my favorite items on the menu. I could've used some onions and cilantro. We ordered a sale for our baby Girl. She only ate the chicken. The vinaigrette had a odd taste. and my honey ordered the Asada fries and the fries reminded me of Wienerschnitzel fries. Not a great quality. I also had one margarita which wasn't bad. Went for taco Tuesday and was pleasantly surprised. Taco Tuesday consist of all their tacos being $1.49 except for the seafood. You place an order for the amount of tacos you want and then you go inside and they have a taco bar where they give you the meat and you put your own toppings. The Barbacoa and Asada were really tasty and you can't go wrong at that price. They also have a great happy hour menu, I got the queso Birria and it was pretty dang good and the right proportion for a single person. Margaritas are on happy hour as well and I got the cucumber and it is the best. I highly suggest it. Happy hours goes until 7pm and taco Tuesday is on Tuesday and they also have a margarita Monday. Inside is nicely decorated and clean. We both got bottomless mimosas. But they don't bring a champagne bottle, it is premixed and in a pitcher they use to refill your glass. The food was OK. The enchiladas were small, and were dry. Maybe out too long. The chile rellenos were one of my favorites, really good. Beans and rice are good. Taco bar is very good.
