Waiters standing around while dining area is near empty. Hoping to get an order in before kitchen closes

Service is probably the slowest ever experienced. The bartender is on point. But trying to get food service is ridiculous. The service people just stand around, while people are waiting to order. Table tops are empty while waiters just stand around. Been here 2 times, and both times i'd have to walk up to the waiters to get an order in.

Like others have mentioned, the food is "OK" at best but the service is pretty bad. We stayed here the night before our cruise and didn't want to venture out for dinner (not many options nearby). I 100% recommend staying in Long Beach and taxi / uber this direction the day of the cruise. Staying and or eating here is 100% not worth it.

This was the restaurant at the Double tree where we were staying the night before our cruise. We didn't feel like leaving after we were settled so we ate here. There was only one server and he had a bit of an attitude. We asked for separate checks up front and at the end he gave us combined check and then yelled at us saying we didn't tell him. The food was really good though. I ordered the Cubano with a side salad. It was still $25 because they automatically add 20% gratuity. I didn't quite agree with that especially since our waiter had the attitude.

We had no delays with service. Food was good too. Only complaint is that prices are high but there isn't much around if you are staying at the DoubleTree.

It's been several months since our last visit. Unfortunately the hotel did not offer shuttle service at night so we stayed in the hotel for dinner. We had a table by the window with a view of the marina. Service was good. We had nice cocktails, the burned ends appetizer, fried cauliflower and a Caesar salad. All were good, but we were sad that the salad was not as advertised. It was described as a while-leaf salad and included a poached egg. We were served a very standard chopped Caesar. Our tab was $98! Not our best experience.

This restaurant was located in the Doubletree. Located in the lounge lobby area. I came with 3 friends and we stayed and had dinner here. I ordered the Cobb with shrimp. The shrimp was seasoned well and the portions were good. Each of my gfs enjoyed their orders! The pasta was definitely made in house and fresh. The only issue we had was with the server. He had asked us in the beginning if we wanted split checks, which we said yes too.. then brought us a joint check at the end. It seemed like we Inconvenienced him. Otherwise. The ambience is okay. Very casual.

2800 Kitchen & Lounge is located inside of the San Pedro DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Pedro - Port of Los Angeles. I stayed here for two nights and because we're Hilton diamond members we received an $18 daily credit for food and drinks during our stay. We decided to take advantage of the credit by getting breakfast here. Most of the food was just about $18 so we only had to pay a few dollars out of pocket for the added service charges. We ordered the breakfast burrito one day and oatmeal the next. The burrito was really fresh and filing. It was the perfect amount to share as we prefer a light breakfast. Both times we got it to-go. They packaged our orders so delicately. Not to mention the service was fast and friendly. If you're staying at this hotel I would highly recommended going here if you need a quick meal.

We both had a wagu burger and fries the first night

The waiter (Chuck) was so nice and friendly and the food was great. We had burgers and fries the first night. The second night we did the happy hour. And it did not disappoint. Perfect 10

Chef Tony was awesome glad I revisited this Doubletree after I stopped going because of lackluster pretty much everything there still is no buffet, but the food drinks are all worth your attention. Great spot in the marina with a nice view.

Somewhat over priced for what it is. $9 for a bagel? Also, understaffed with lackadaisical service.

Even the other guests were friendly, which honestly made the whole experience feel even more special. We started with the ahi tuna tostada and WOW -- definitely my favorite dish of the night. So fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The scallops were also beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We also tried the garlic bread because so many reviews hyped it up, but honestly... it was just okay. Not bad at all, but probably the one thing I'd skip next time. The biggest surprise for me was the fish and chips because I normally don't even like fish and chips. This version was lightly breaded so you actually got flaky, flavorful fish instead of a mouthful of batter. Perfectly fried and genuinely so good. We also ordered the arugula salad which was fresh and paired well with everything else. Overall, such a great experience from start to finish. Great food, great atmosphere, and genuinely warm service. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

I love their Cheesy Egg Toast which is cheddar cheese & grilled Sourdough for about 12$. Their Soft Shell Crab Benedict Arnold is served on a brioche bun, with mortadella, & béarnaise sauce. It is just amazing. For lunch we love the raw bar and always start with oysters and Peruvian scallops. They are super good. Their strawberry mixed greens salad is so great. They don't always have it, but most of the time they do. The place is so pretty. It is an old cannery with modern and adorable inside decoration. It is comfortable and super clean. The service is great. I don't know if they take reservations, I would call and ask. We go at odd times and have never had a problem.

First time was brunch with coworkers after a weekend work event. Great food, strong mimosas, and an easy vibe that made it perfect for decompressing together. The steak benedict was rich and satisfying, and the salmon benedict on another visit was fresh and perfectly balanced. Second visit really sealed it for me. I stopped by solo with my dog and needed a receipt from almost a month earlier for an expense report. They went out of their way to help me track it down without any attitude or rush. Genuinely kind and accommodating. Third time was brunch with a friend, dog in tow again. Classic California weather, patio seating, sunshine, and mimosas. Exactly the kind of place you want to linger. Consistently good food, great drinks, and service that actually cares. If you like brunch that feels relaxed but still done right, this is it.

Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.
