The server came asked what would we like for drinks. Hubby ordered a Michelada and I ordered a diet coke. That Michelada was delicious! I ordered Fish and Chips with cornbread I gave my food a 10. Hubby ordered BBQ pulled pork sandwiche he gave his food a 7. He was still hungry so I shared my plate with him. I wanted dessert so I asked for menu. We ended up ordering cookies and cream. Great neighborhood spot. Tons of TVs and tables throughout the restaurant. I can see how this could be a good spot to catch a game and a bite to eat. Service was good. Parking was easy. The menu is pretty diverse with lots of options. There's a decent kids menu and the mac n cheese was solid. Overall, I thought the food was alright. I got the ahi tuna sandwich and thought the tuna steak was a bit on the thin side. It seems like anything on the menu can be easily customizable with your choice of side. We've been loyal customers here for many years, even before it became Shore Grill, which is why last night was so disappointing. We placed a $96 order through DoorDash and had confirmation that the order was paid for. My husband arrived at the scheduled pickup time, only to be told they had no order for us. Even though he had proof of the completed purchase, the way the situation was handled made it feel like they were insinuating that we must not have ordered or checked out correctly. I contacted DoorDash myself to cancel, and DoorDash actually called the restaurant. Suddenly, the restaurant confirmed they DID receive our order and said it must have been an issue with their Wi-Fi. DoorDash told us we could go back and pick it up, but my husband had already driven there once and been turned away. We weren't going to make another trip because of an issue on the restaurant's end. At that point, I felt the least they could have offered was to deliver the food themselves or make some effort to correct the situation. Instead, the order was canceled, and after waiting for dinner, our family ended up eating cereal. Mistakes and technical issues happen. What bothered us most was the customer service and how my husband was treated when he was standing there with proof that we had paid. A little kindness and willingness to problem-solve would have completely changed this experience. It's sad because we've supported this restaurant for a very long time, but after this experience, we'll be taking a break. I really hope they improve how situations like this are handled because longtime customers shouldn't leave feeling belittled over a mistake that wasn't theirs. read more

We placed order via Foodja for BBQ and the food was not disappointing. We love the tri-tip! The sides were very good too. The food arrived on time which tells me the restaurant was quick and made the order on time for Foodja delivery guy to pick up & deliver. I love that we got stickers and menus with our order. Came here with a group of 8 including kids for Sunday lunch. Just note that they do charge 20% gratuity for parties of 8 or more. Place was basically empty minus another occupied table. Our server was friendly and great. Parking is decent since it's located in a small plaza. I ordered the Baja fish tacos which came with 3 tacos, salsa and chips. The tacos were pretty good and you're given the choice of corn or flour tortillas. The price points are good given how big some of the portions were. I was surprised at how big the kids cheeseburgers and mac and cheese were. The kids definitely had leftovers for later. Great spot if you're in the San Pedro area. This place is a gem in San Pedro! Everything on the menu is delicious, from salads, BBQs, steaks, and appetizers, you will leave happy! The servers are all so friendly and they will hand you a warm wet nap to wipe your hands at the end of your meal. The Weekday Specials are worth your trip to dine here. Yesterday, Monday, we ordered 2 half slabs of baby back ribs with 2 sides and cornbread for $34.95. The BBQ sauce is awesome, the coleslaw was delicious, the cornbread with warm maple butter superb. On Taco Tuesday, you get 3 tacos, flour or corn, filled with shrimp or fish and shredded cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro with a side of chips and homemade salsa. I usually get my food to go but last night I went with neighbors and got a table. First of all, I don't have children never wanted children so when I go in to a restaurant I try to see where the screamers are and ask to be seated on the other side. FAMILIES WITH LITTLE CHILDREN SHOULD ALL BE SEATED ON THE SAME SIDE. We get seated and I didn't notice Chucky over by the window. He starts to scream like the fat lady in an Opera. It was so horrible. My friends put pieces of napkin in their ears, I just plugged my ears with my fingers. Please, all restaurant owners, couldn't you just put families with kids all on one side? I don't blame the children, it's the parents that think their kids are so cute so free to express themselves that are to blame. Right now they are mini versions of YOU, and that is so sad. Stopped in for a Saturday lunch of Fish & Chips, price was reasonable, staff was friendly and attentive. Portion size was good, three pieces of fish, fries and slaw. Fish itself was perfectly cooked, batter coating was not too thick but could have used about 30 seconds more in the fryer to get it a little crispyer. I love taking advantage of their Monday Ribs Special--two half racks for the price of one is a deal that keeps me coming back. The ribs are meaty, flavorful, and slathered in a perfect mix of sweet and savory sauce that hits all the right notes. Each plate comes with two sides, and the grilled asparagus is always a highlight--tender, lightly charred, and full of flavor. I just wish they'd toss in a few more spears because they're that good. I ordered the cornbread as an extra, lately it has become a let down , It's dry, dense, and brick-like, with burnt edges and a thickness that makes it tough to get down. Instead of that warm, crumbly texture that says "freshly baked," it tastes more like it's been sitting around for a week. The good: I tried the Baja fish tacos, grilled mahi-mahi with mashed potatoes and arugula, kids bbq chicken with waffle fries and calamari strips. For dessert we tried the apple tart with ice cream. The calamari was so incredibly tender! It wasn't chewy at all. It came with a cocktail sauce. The tomato and balsamic sauce on the arugula was delicious and the buttery mashed potatoes were delectable. The kids portion was generous and the waffle fries weren't overly oily. They had coloring pages for kids. The interior was classic style and had 3 TVs displaying sports. There were art paintings on the wall of local ocean views. The ice cream apple tart wasn't too sweet and had a nice dusting of cinnamon as well as some caramel drizzled over it. It tasted freshly made and was surprisingly delicious. The bad: The calamari was a bit too salty. It was also pricey at $17-18 as an appetizer. There's no outdoor dining. The mahi-mahi seemed a bit over cooked because of the texture. She was right, 2 taco plates for $25. Three generous size tacos and chips. I had the baja fish and he had the shrimp tacos. We had great service from Alex and were excited to dine there again as this is 5 minutes from our house. We went back a week or so later on a Thursday night, we were seated promptly and then we waited for over 20 minutes to be acknowledged, offered water or to place our order. Instead we watched the server clean tables (there were plenty available), chit chat with staff at the bar and be in the kitchen for quite a period of time. No "I'll be right with you - nothing". We were ready to get up and leave and he finally came by to see what we wanted to drink. We decided to place our order because who knows when he would be back. The Shore Grill is a local restaurant just on the outskirts of Palos Verdes in a small strip mall at 25th and Western Ave. in San Pedro. Parking is good, which is important to me as I hate door dings on the car. The staff is welcoming and the ambiance is festive but not overly loud, even with bar service. The lighting is slightly on the dark side but enjoyable. The food is very good and their portions are large. I especially like the fish tacos, which are jam packed with fish, salsa and topped with a delicious sauce. The fish and chips were large enough for left overs as a take home lunch. So in conclusion, the food is very good, service is friendly and timely. The menu is varied ranging from a Caesar salad to a rib eye or ahi sandwich and the prices are reasonable. Been coming to Shore Grille since it was Chicago for Ribs and they had multiple locations through the South Bay Area, going back over two decades. As the other locations dwindled down, this location became the go-to, and I was thrilled that it maintained much of the same menu and recipes, along with an updated selection of food options as well, once ownership changed years ago. Figured I'd finally leave a review after countless visits. The food is delicious and always reliable. The staff is friendly, and the ambience is very local and homey. Very glad to see them thrive. Pricing is somewhat on the higher end, but the quality is always good, as well are the portions. Some more weekly specials or combos would be greatly appreciated, in addition to what's already offered; regardless, this is a fantastic neighborhood spot worth visiting. My friends and I were in the neighborhood, and were looking for a place to have lunch. A member of our group suggested this place. Looking over the menu, we liked what we saw, and went with the suggestion. The place was busy, as it's a local favorite. There were 5 of us, with a 6th person arriving later. The host offered us a booth, which we politely declined, and, instead, waited for a section that would hold all 6 of us. After a few minutes, the host let us know our section was ready. He was nice enough to put together 3 tables end-to-end for us, complete with menus, and silverware. While a couple of us settled for ice water, one of my friends ordered an Old Fashioned, another an Iced Tea, and another ordered a beer. Our server(who was also our host) was quite nice, and attentive. He took all of our orders, and accommodated our requests for separate bills. I ordered the Shore Burger, with a side of BBQ Baked Beans. All of our orders arrived at the same time. While my beans were somewhat warm, my burger was lukewarm...but still juicy, and, delicious! They didn't splurge on the sauce, and, my burger didn't disintegrate while I was eating, which, while not that big a deal(the part about having your burger fall apart while you're eating), is a bit of an annoyance, and I was happy that my burger, aside from a few drips of burger juices, stayed intact. All in all, great service, great food. Definitely making this a go-to next time we're in town! My lone [minor] issue was the temperature of my burger. The space itself is nice. It used to be a Chicago ribs and it looks the same but more updated and modern. Food was mid...it's not terrible but it's not good. Reminded me of BWW or diner type of food. I was craving chicken strips so I tried them with mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. The strip themselves were decent but not what you would think of when you think of chicken strips. The breading was light which I liked and the meat was wide and thin. Mashed potatoes were super thick and gummy and the Mac and cheese was that plastic-ky cheese with no flavor. If it isn't the right season for mahi, anything on the menu is good so don't worry (: you'll find something good! Amazing customer service, they remember their returning patrons, and provide a welcoming and friendly environment. Even if you need extra sauce or have requests, they never make you feel like a burden (as someone with social anxiety this is big for me!!) If you're into sports they have a few screens as well. The drinks were ok , I got a blood Mary and it barely had any liquor in it , it was very bland . This little spot is easy to miss, but the food is great! My husband and I stopped by while relaxing in Cali and we left full and satisfied! The service was sub par, as they seemed quite busy that night. To think about it now, our server never told us his name . The atmosphere within the place is set for a "watch the game with wings night." There is a very small bar in the front upon walking in, and leaves much to be desired. My husband and I were seated and I ordered the Mahi Mahi Mediterranean. This dish has to be illegal. I wanted to scrape the plate, but I couldn't because I was so full!!! The Mahi was fresh, seasoned well and flavorful. The grape tomatoes and arugula pulled the entire dish together beautifully! My husband had the Strawberry Salad and he stated that it was good, but it could use some focus for flavor. Just before leaving, my husband and I saw a silver fish just sitting on the wall . I'm so glad I didn't see it before eating my food, but I'm upset I did see it afterwards as it made me wonder what's in the kitchen?!?!! We come here pretty much every weekend! We love Francisco, Carlos, Lily, and pretty much everyone on the team! They're all super friendly, attentive, and make it worth coming here. We've tried so many menu items and everyone has always enjoyed what they have ordered. I'm in love with their fish tacos. You get three tacos with thick chips and salsa on the side. I can't even begin to tell you how delicious these tacos are. Crispy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. Pure fish taco perfection. The service has always been great. We get refills right away and never have to wait for anything. This restaurant is a little pricey and that's what prevents me from going back more often than I do, especially for lunch.
