Fish tacos

I found this food truck on a whim when I was in the area. Great customer service!! I ordered the fish tacos and shrimp ceviche. I'll definitely be back. If you follow them on IG, they post specials! Fish tacos 5/5 Shrimp ceviche 4/5 Cucumber juice 5/5

Oceanico is the real deal. This seafood truck serves up fish tacos and shrimp so good, you'd swear you were oceanside. Crispy, juicy, perfectly seasoned--and the portions? Generous without breaking the bank. The setup is simple but inviting--just good food, good people, and the smell of fresh seafood in the air. No frills, no fluff--just straight-up delicious seafood that hits every time.

The ceviche de pescado is really good and always fresh. You can call ahead of time because it takes 20 min for them to make it fresh for you. The fish tacos are really good too a must try

This food truck has good seafood. They have an A rating and they make everything fresh to order. I placed a to-go order in person but you can call ahead too. The 3 taco plate (fish tacos) and a large shrimp cocktail w/octopus (enough for 2 people). Fish tacos were very good and they didn't skimp of the fish either. Shrimp cocktail was really good too. The shrimp were not chewy or over cooked like other places either. The guy who took my order was friendly and even gave me a taco (Taco Gobernardor) to try since it was my first visit. That was delicious too! Definitely adding that to my order next time. I would say it's a little pricier than fast food, but nowadays it's the same cost. Instead of buying fast food, you can get fresh seafood made to order instead. Plus the food is delicious! It's a no brainer. Give them a try.

Excellent ceviche!!They give you a lot and it's very tasty. You wouldn't know it by looking this truck but so far best ceviche in Harbor City.

We arrived around 4:30 on a Saturday and found a table right away in the bar, where a lot of Kings…read morefans were getting ready for the game. We started with margaritas. The El Cholo wasn't too strong and Zapata's widow was "sneaky" according to my hubby. For the main course we got the steak fajitas, which were HOT but the steak was a little chewy, and the Caesar salad, which had a disappointing salad dressing that lacked flavor. The servers were attentive and the fire place was decorated for the holidays and was on, which added nice charm to the room ambiance. There were a few TVs showing various games.

I've had El Cholo bookmarked for the longest time, but not this location (the one on Western in…read moreKoreatown, which is apparently the original). Since wifey and I just got out of a L.A. Kings game at the Crypto.com Arena (such a stupid name btw - Staples for life!), we saw El Cholo just across the street from L.A. Live and decided to give it a shot. This location is on Flower St between Olympic Blvd & 11th St. Since it's so close to L.A. Live, it seems like it's a good spot for anything pre/post-game or shows if you're in the area. We were seated right away in the back area of the restaurant. It's surprisingly quite spacious, so if the front is full don't worry about it. They also have bar seating if you're not looking for anything fancy. We didn't know what to order so we opted to share their A Taste of History (1996) platter, which comes with a cheese enchilada, a rolled beef taco, a chile relleno, a pork tamale, and rice & beans. They also serve complimentary chips and salsa for the table while you wait. Our waitress was attentive and kept checking up on us (always a plus). El Cholo is credited with having the first restaurant-style burritos in the U.S. and in 1959 they introduced nachos to L.A. While the history is nothing to sneeze at (along with celebrating over 100 years in business since 1923), El Cholo has also had a reputation of just not being that great when it comes to the food. I knew of their rep and can confirm that it's true. The food is pretty whitewashed/Tex-Mex, so it's disappointing if you've ever had the real deal Holyfield when it comes to Mexican food. My better half said that El Torito is sadly more authentic. Everything is on the blander side so no spice or anything tasty jumps out at you. The beef was dry and still a little bit cold. Of the platter, the only thing I liked was the pork tamale. Overall I'm glad I got to try El Cholo and strike it off the list, but this location (opened in 2010) just isn't it. Maybe the original location is better? Much respect to the history, just wish the food was better (but if you know, you know).

The steak picado taco was well seasoned and balanced, and the bistek had a deeper, savory flavor while staying juicy. Service was fast and efficient, and the food came out hot without much waiting. An easy 5-star visit. It's a solid choice when you want something satisfying and well made but don't have a lot of time.

Guisados es absolutely a gem, truly enjoy the tacos here so much…read more My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here after visiting The Broad with some friends, I've been back a few times since and this place truly is delicious! I love that they use homemade tortillas and that there's a few options to choose from, some I like better than others but for the most part everything is well made. My favorites here include the chile relleno taco, steak picado taco, & chicharron taco (hubby loves these too) The quesadillas here are delicious as well (not pictured) they use a Mexican cheese that has a flavor profile unlike your basic mozzarella or cheddar cheese. The nopales taco was ok, could be more well seasoned & the chorizo and papas taco was ok, didn't really like the flavor of the chorizo, but everything else was delicious. The agua de Jamaica (Hibiscus water) is delicious too, not too sugary. Very refreshing. 4/5 stars because the price is a bit steep for about $5 a taco & they are very small tacos but in my opinion they are so worth it. Hubby & I will definitely be back again soon.
