I had some time to kill around lunchtime so I headed to Pacific Diner, which had been on my list for years but I'd never had the chance to check it out. 5 stars for ambiance The booths and counter stools are well maintained and comfortable. The vibes are vibing. I loved listening to one of the guys in the kitchen sing. 5 stars for service My server had amazing energy and was very accommodating to every type of customer who came in, including those who were a little rough around the edges. She let me stay past closing so I could finish my iced tea and do some more work on my laptop. 5 stars for food It was a perfect Denver omelette, well cooked with plenty of cheese and peppers and Ham and onions nicely diced. The breakfast potatoes were thinly sliced and nice and crispy, which surprisingly is hard to find in a diner. The iced tea was strong and plentiful. I realize that diner fare is not typically considered five-star cuisine, but for what they do, they did excellently. A perfect lunch experience. No notes. New owners have Absolutely butchered this place, letting go multiple staff including the chefs that has built that place to what it is over text and for no apparent reason, maybe they dont want to pay them what they earned? New owners aren't even local to san pedro either, this new establishment wont receive a dollar more from my family and i and its sad because we have been coming here my entire life ever since i can form memories. Slapping some new tables and chairs in a place isn't all they have done they have robbed our town of the breakfast diner we all grew up on. Highly advise support other local diners here (the few that are left local) to who ever responded to my review you got to have some nerve to sit there and blatantly lie on claims that are absolutely true, i know the oeople who where let go so how are you gonna tell me its mis information. Good food. I had the Chilaquiles green. Good flavor with a little spice, comes slices of avocado and sour cream. The home fried potatoes are very good. Only wish they would hold off on the sauce until the eggs are ready so the chips would still have some crisp. Service was excellent, friendly, efficient, helpful. My server was Terra. Got the Bacon "N" 2 Eggs with coffee. Everything was good. The bacon was crispy. The home potatoes tasted like they were cooked with butter. The coffee was a nice mild roast. There is seating both inside and in the patio area. Inside has a counter and two booths. I took a quick look at the patio area and it looked spacious. There is parking available. I went on a Saturday after 09:00 and there were approximately 4 parking spaces available. Service was very friendly and prompt. I think it only took about 5 minutes to receive my breakfast. Pacific Diner brought back some memories of some old school diners like I grew up with in New Jersey, maybe with a little bit of a California beach vibe added in. There were some regulars sitting at the counter and a menu with drawings and puns made to look like a newspaper. We were in the neighborhood because we had stayed overnight at a hotel a few doors down before a cruise. We wanted a good breakfast, because you never know if they're going to have enough food on those cruise ships (I'm joking!) I was excited to try the chili verde omelette and my husband got the steak bits and eggs. Both were delicious and we also loved the biscuits! I also appreciated that my home fries were crispy and brown - I hate when you get barely-cooked-potatoes that are supposed to be home fries! A great neighborhood diner up on the hill in San Pedro. We came for breakfast around 10 am on a Sunday morning and expected a wait. No wait for a table of 2. Awesome! After reading the many options, I chose the crab avocado omelette -- hey, we're by the water. It was huge, loaded with crab and avocado and topped with a tasty hollandaise. The potatoes alongside were crispy and plentiful. And they even made my toast cinnamon toast! That was unexpected and super tasty. Brewed iced tea, too (not that nasty fountain stuff). Still great after all these years. Marinated Steak Bits and Eggs are the best thing on the menu. Don't forget to check the Daily Specials Board. I love the Pacific Diner! They have killer chile verde, and great usual suspects for breakfast items. They have a HUGE menu. The staff is always friendly. The place is clean and there are usually parking spaces in their small parking lot or on the street. Came to this diner to celebrate my child's first soccer game goal ever. We were a party of 11 and we were treated so poorly. I had never experienced firsthand discrimination in my life, especially not in our hometown of SP. Off the bat, our server came over extremely rushed and was very impatient taking our orders and even sarcastically laughed at my father when he made a mistake while placing his order. Then, when there was a miscommunication with an item we wanted, she proceeded with complaining to a coworker that we don't even speak English when clearly that's how we were communicating. Just because 2 of the 11 people were not fluent does not mean WE ALL don't speak English. I decided to ask to speak to the manager and while I wait for her, turns out it was our server, ERIN. I, of course, confronted her and told her that it was not okay to be so rude and disrespectful to customers, especially when we were just there trying to have a happy family breakfast. Las time I visited this restaurant for a weekend breakfast and it totally exceeded my expectations. This time ordered the Mexican Chicken Omelette and it was full of savour with just the right perfect amount of spicy.
