Happy Valentines Jennifer
R. Jason A.

This is Xmas editorial investigational report on 12/20/2021 my birthday Acknowledgement to former Head Security and current Security for a job well done. The Spot receives 5 stars for all bartenders recently serving me in good faith gave customers and I quality service, upholding good business practice, governing their Kingdom when on duty without influence or corruption! Establishment disqualified R&R by Paul/Veronica by making themselves liable, not supporting Senior Bartenders refusing to deny service, creating a monster, allowing mishandling of customers banking cards and impowering a renegade high-profile Mixologist. -----------(BRIEFS) Bottom line, Maggy (Vanessa Bartender) on her off day started trouble by inquiring to New Security about me being 86 three years ago! Instead of playing pool security, bartender and myself had to discuss what Maggy started? Then very next day come to my night club and sit right next to, turn and give me a dirty look then yack away! Saturday every top bar treated me great including at the Spot, but security notified me that Owners verified I was 86? I was invited back by security then independently invited back by all senior bartenders except Maggy! She continues reprisal attempts against me with her loyal riff raff. ------------------- Respecting Google/Yelp SOP, Food and Beverage Industry, ABC, District's Bartender/Mixologist. My sworn position to the people is reporting the truth without influence or exaggeration. Conclusion for retaliation of Vanessa Maggy Persivale former #1 Mixologist Google/Yelp R&R of District 15. Incident initiated after partial 86 lifted and before full 86 given and took place following the death of Chaplin Sumo Sato. All allegation can be investigated with bank and other individual involved for verification. Shortly after the death of my pastor I ventured into the Spot for relief in which during my visit Maggy on duty approached me to discuss what she said Chase Visa card (Not my Name) I had given her when I first arrived on sight. She was sharp and sober and I was very depressed and distant. She directly denied knowing person's name on card or ever seeing my card that day. I was fortunate having cash to pay my tab and tip Maggy appropriately! Unable to track my card down within several hours contacted Chase to cancel card I had in my possession and contact the person or the cardholders. This matter was considered closed for a time until the afternoon after the evening Maggy without notice attempted to conspire an argument for 86 me forever. Maggy actually brought her boyfriend in that afternoon to beat me up, but was upset when him and I actually liked each other's company and left to continue a more business or productive conversation. (That Gentlemen or her boyfriend she was way out of his league). God gave me the peace of the puzzle as I left establishment that day! A customer of Maggy's and fellow patron of mine approached me as exiting wanting to know if Maggy had contacted me regarding the card mix up from the past? He had moved out of state never to return and had communicated with her regarding this matter etc... He did not have any knowledge of the conflict thinking her and I were still very good friends! He said it was just an act of God that he was coming through town that he ran into me. He first made contact with her before my arrival the night before when she flipped out! This information along with Maggy's actions is criminal and I was forced to notify ABC, but when speaking to owner was permanently 86. Maggy due to this individual's presence has continued to try to cover up. Last year Maggy requested removal of complaint to ABC! She agreed to an interview which incriminated herself as guilty of all charges! (END)----------- I advise Paul/Veronica lift or remove my 86 and terminate/86 Vanessa ASAP!

Spicy Whore aka cinnamon toast crunch.

For a place that had a bad rep years ago it's turned out to be a great place to just hang out and have some drinks with the regulars. The juke box plays all the hits, there's karaoke on Wednesday and Sunday and the drinks are stiff. The vibe is pretty chill. If you're into playing pool you better bring your A game cuz they take pool very serious in there. Also there's an outdoor patio where you can drink and smoke at which is the best part about this bar because it's the only place in pedro that offers that amenity. Me, I love the drink we dubbed the Spicy Whore.

Juicy til the last bit!!!

We were thrilled to see a few menu options that were marked as vegan. Bonus points for being affordable! I completely missed their attached parking lot when I arrived and ended up parking across the street in the neighborhood, where there was ample free parking. When we arrived, the restaurant was about half full and there was live music occurring on the patio. We opted to sit inside where it was a little less noisy and there was a comfy and cozy booth calling our name. The vibe was great, with fun and eclectic decor. The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. We asked him if the espresso martini had dairy in it (which I just discovered that is a thing at some places) and he double checked with the bartender to ensure there wasn't my dairy in it! I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. The falafel was nice and crispy with a delectable inside and the tahini sauce was so rich and creamy. The meal felt indulgent yet hearty all at the same time. I left feeling so uplifted and relaxed all at the same time. Despite it being on the noisier side, I was still able to hear my friend well and it was such a great place for us to catch up. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return the next time I'm in the area!

I ordered the pastrami on rye (basically a Reuben) which was good. I wish it had more meat and it was half sliced, half chopped. Theirs seems to be all chopped up and crisped, which gives it a nice texture and almost bacon-y vibe. Messy but good. I had a side salad which was also good. Overall our meal was great and there were TVs visible from anywhere you sat, which is perfect for a sports bar. My big gripe is being charged $1 for pickles to go with a sandwich. Maybe you get more if they put them directly on the sandwich, but they forgot mine so the pickles came in a ramekin. 6 pickle slices for $1.

The scotch egg and French fries were my favorite but honestly everything was good. We got clam shower, scotch egg with Parmesan potatoes and fish and chips with a very very well done tartar sauce. I could take a bath in that stuff! Thanks guys we'll be back every time we are in town!

Ordered the clam chowder and a hamburger because the menu is really small so that sounded like a good bet. So the clam chowder came out with no clams and plenty of raw bacon. On Halloween people are suppose to dress up as a vampire, Cleopatra- Queen of the Nile- Barney or a…read moredepiction of LA's confusing traffic signs or something else entirely. That is custom, that is tradition and for most it meant to inject fun into life. In my opinion, what maximizes the fun is when a person quips or puns using their custom as fodder for the joke. For instance, on one Halloween. I called my insurance and the person on the phone told me that she was dressed as cat. At the end of the conversation, I was meant to rate her and I said do not worry your service was "purrr-fect." How long have you been waiting to say that joke? She replied. Since the moment she told me she was cat. So when I played and partied with sailors and marines I expected for similar jokes to be made since, in a way, they were in uniform/customs. Like when, me and another civilian played pool with two Sailors they introduced themselves as Diane and Scott, not Officer Sampson and Officer Aguilera. Then we just played a regular game of pool. They did not say things like, prepare for the onslaught of seafaring sailors. So I did not get a chance to say I will sink your battleship as I perfectly aligned my eight ball to a corner pocket. Basically, they were civilians in uniform they were not sailors playing pool. Makes sense, they were sailors on leave so their sea related puns must have stayed on board their ship. Regardless, the party experience with sailors and marines was fire in the hole. And this bar is one of the central places where the sailor party can be felt because San Pedro welcomes them once a year during Fleet Week. It is common sense but Sailors and Marines spend their time locked up, in a ship, or in base, or somewhere else. So when they step to land, the goal must be clear: party with restrained abandon. And this hope encompasses all around, so it is hard to not become a party animal. Imagine that they are the moon, and all around are party-wolves. When they rise, so do the party time howls. I can see this bar becoming a draw for partiers for a weekend. Some people may never come to Crimsin for their cocktails but I hope they come here for the sailors and marines. During this past Fleet Week, I bought a beer for a Marine named Thomas. He also did not say my name is Hightower or Olson or MacDonald when I asked for his name. He still accepted the beer and said thank you for the support. So I may not march in a parade supporting Marines, but still Thomas made me feel like paying for a Marine's drink was showing support for the freedoms that the armed warriors of this country provide. Yes, I know I did not run the SSO but still I was thanked for my support for a Marine. In the grand scheme of things, I accept his gratitude and trust that he meant his words. On a previous Fleet Week, me and a sailor both ordered from a bartender. The bartender ignored me and tended to the sailor. Makes sense, he was the guest of honor. And the sailor treated my drink too. Mad respect. And I hope it is the high seas that taught him to show respect to another for not all wars are won with missiles and bayonets. So the moment not only affords the right to party but it also affords the right to witness the evolution of military culture and how it has arrived to hold people with good values, a good heart, and compassion in their actions.
