I really enjoyed my cinnamon twist cocktail. The creamy texture was exactly what I was hoping for. It was a great recommendation! The atmosphere was lively on a Friday night, and later in the evening it ended up being a dance party with a DJ. There were darts to play with. It was a lot of fun! Just a heads up, it can get busy.

A great new addition to the neighborhood! The Fox Den redid and upped the ante with swag from the entrance to the drinks. When entering the Fox Den you're greeted by a fur wall that you just can't help running your fingers through. Great ambiance and decor, met by a talented bartender mixing up some signature cocktails, that are a bit pricey for a neighborhood joint (and verses the previous proprietor Pats II) Full bar seating with little tables to chill, darts and music over the sound system. They were pretty creative with the restroom signage. Tip- no food served here, cocktails only. Parking lot in the rear and on the street.

My friend accidentally bumped into a photo that wasn't secure at all, within a cramped area. It tipped over, and the manager/owner (grey hair geezer) began scolding my friend and our party. We tried to explain and apologize, with loud music blasting, that it was an accident, but he continued to curse us out. Terrible. DO BETTER! We are local, and tipped well all night too. Pity.

Great drinks, great ambiance and Ty the bartender is great! It's hard to find a good craft cocktail lounge nowadays and glad we stumbled across the fox den!

stars for cocktails and cool vibes--but beware of card charges. I've been to The Fox Den twice and both times, the cocktails were fantastic--elevated, balanced, and worth sipping slow. The vibe is equally on point: cozy, stylish, and a great addition to South Redondo. Sidebar: If you like your Manhattans straight up (like I do), and Fitzy (sp?) is working, be sure to let her know beforehand. She automatically serves them on the rocks--nice rocks, yes--but those are for Old Fashioneds, IMO.

This use to be a different bar that me and my friends use to like going to so when we seen that something new had opened we definitely had to scope it out and I must say I was impressed this place is so clean and well put together very beautiful location. We ordered a couple of drinks and boy were they delicious I will definitely be going back again

I tried this lounge last night (Saturday night) and it gets really packed. You're lucky if you score a seat, but they do have comfortable lounge chairs that my boyfriend and I sat in. The crowd is older, (30s-50s). A lot of couples. A dj came on later in the night and the music is great. They have two dart boards that no one seem to give any attention to. The bartenders are attentive and make good cocktails. They don't serve food, it's strictly cocktails and beer. I suggest arriving early or going on a week night. When I left around 10 pm there was a line out the door with a man checking IDs in the front. A great place for a girls night or date night but there isn't much place to stand so try to arrive early to find seating!

Ok this one will absolutely surprise you!!!! We actually lived across for this location for 15 years and never once went into Pats because didn't fit us. My wife came home last week and said there's a new bar we needed to try because her friends can't stop talking about it at work. Well I'm not the one to not try something new and let me tell you this one will knock it out of the park for you!!! Unbelievable cocktails and the Bartenders are freaking top notch absolutely loved the drinks and some great conversations with the bartenders definitely a 10 out of 10 for sure!! Dress nice it's a bit bougie and I'm going to mention this one more time the cocktails are absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!

Saw this place opened up a couple weeks ago & super glad I tried it! I've been twice with friends & it's a really cool little spot. Kinda like a lounge and more lowkey. I went on a Monday my first time so it really wasn't busy, but then went there on Friday on valentines day with a friend & it was packed! There was a DJ set which was fun. Drinks are really good & bartenders super nice! Such a great new spot in the area, different than the usual places in the village.

He did the damn thang, and the vibe in the room was everything. Truly an amazing night. The venue itself is beautiful, and entry was seamless -- no hassle getting in, which I always appreciate. There is a 2-drink minimum, but no complaints there because the drinks did not disappoint. Now, let's talk food... We ordered chicken tacos, which took so long to come out I honestly forgot to take a picture. My hubster ordered the chicken wings and fries. Unfortunately, the fries were definitely undercooked, and the chicken was very light-skinned -- it could have been cooked much more. The food overall needs work, and that part was disappointing compared to the rest of the experience. That said, the artist + atmosphere combo was top-tier. I would absolutely come back for the music and the vibe, but next time, I'd skip the food and stick to drinks only. Great night, unforgettable performance -- just room for improvement in the kitchen.

Seating: usually like to decide beforehand if I want to sit on the patio or inside. Most of the time, I prefer the patio, and that's what we ended up with. Service: Staff immediately offered the heater, which I readily agreed to. Two people spoke and helped us out outside of the waitress, meaning they were constantly checking in on us. This checks out similar to the service I received last time I was here. Food: We had nachos. I had mole and the chido way cocktail. My boyfriend had dark Mexican lager and cochinitta pork dish. I was really happy with our The food was excellent, and my cocktail was truly exceptional. It was on par with some of the best fancy cocktail bars I've visited, yet prices were more reasonable, typical of a restaurant. The mezcal was smoky and delicious. I also noticed that most of their cocktails are tequila and mezcal based. You should get a cocktail if it's your first visit. Vibes: It's always loud, especially at its peak on a Saturday evening. I can overhear bits and pieces of conversations from three tables next to me, but somehow it all fits perfectly. Suddenly, a live mariachi band started playing an emotional Ballad. It's always cool when I run into live music when I'm here. I like it here! Wanted to let you know that they seem to have slightly increased the prices vs the menu? We weren't really starving, just wanted to check the vibes, try the food and see how it was. Unfortunately, things just weren't how we were expecting. We love mexican food and we are used to the food trucks that we can find everywhere in LA. I used to have tacos from the taco truck across the street from me when I lived in San Pedro and they were just perfect, simple and on point. I think I had that idea when I ordered the taco, but it wasn't really what I expected. It was bigger and looked beautiful, but the amount of spice was extremely high, which didn't even let me taste the flavor. And on top of it, the salt felt off too. Too much spice, not enough salt. My fiance ordered tamales, and the mole was more on the chocolate side than anything. The flavors just didn't match. Service wise we have nothing to complain about. They were nice and helpful! It's just the food that wasn't good for us.

There is a cover charge of $10 per person for the first hour, and then $5 for each hour after up to $20 max total. So after the third hour there, there's no further cover charge. They don't have a cocktail menu. The bartender can basically make any drink you want. Our server suggested the gin and tonic which my friends got and I opted for a whiskey sour. We liked our drinks but it wasn't anything spectacular or out of the ordinary. Just a standard gin and tonic, and a standard whiskey sour. It was smooth and well made but considering that there is a cover charge, I expected the drinks to be phenomenal or for the vibes to be really amazing. However, I felt that the place was overall a bit lackluster. It didn't look particularly nice inside. Kinda reminded me of an old restaurant with a few tables and chairs. They had Halloween decor up and were playing Halloween music or random 80s music. I also wished the lighting was a little darker or it would have been nice if they had live music or a live DJ. Just some things I hope the owner will consider since they're charging a cover as if it's a club or exclusive lounge. We all felt like the place wasn't worth $100 (including tip) for just 3 drinks. Service was disappointing. A customer is a customer, but I noticed new ownership neglected old crowd to tend to her crowd or anything else to keep her "busy." Meanwhile, original bartenders were bending over backwards for everybody. We, in the old crowd, are familiar enough w/ each other for some small talk at the bar while waiting for drinks. And this one time I was there alone with another, no other patrons just staff members walking around from time to time. We stole the moment to dance under the Long Beach sky, just the two of us as a famous Christina Perrio song gently wafted in the night breeze. At another separate time, I was at the Los Angeles County Fair with another. We rode the ferris wheel at such a time where our gondola stopped at the top just as the sun set. The moment was nothing but beautiful and life affirming because the sinking of the sun's light was like a real life video of nature happening in front of us, unburdened by static or data stall. We witnessed nature resting, and I feel, that it was a kin to a beauty falling into a gentle sleep. These two instances have a common factor: momentary bliss arrived to bless an experience because the environment supported discovery of unplanned joy. That is what I associate with the Wicked Wolf, and this time the joy arrived eventually because when my Mom and I arrived to their high tea on Mother's Day the experienced seem like it would land nowhere good. Truth be told, my mom and I arrived 15 minutes early and there was no host in the stand and the place was empty except for a foursome. The energy felt lacked luster. One or two minutes after, the bartender informed us that we were early and the host would come soon. We sat in an available sofa for two, a loveseat persay. This gave us an opportunity to admire the decor that transported us to a storybook forest where good fairies reside, not like swamp creatures and trolls with malevolent fangs and dragon green eyes. I especially loved the large roses in the ceiling. To set the stage, the black ceiling had vines hanging from it, and the few roses were pops of crimson red displayed above. These were wonderful accents to the central mural of the joint that invited the viewer within deeper into the fairy forest where a light shone on an unseen meadow. The place had the decorations and general environment to be a lavender fairy's lounge, but, it did not fully work as a team room. For instance, my mom and I were sat in another lover's couch. Initially, I did not want to sit here because we were given circular tray sets. So imagine being told to sit in a couch, and each of us would get a tv tray. So I was left to wonder if we were going to be served tea in Belle's living room or if were going to watch a flick as we ate pollo loco bowl? But then as I settled into the tranquility of the moment, saw more people come and find their seat or couch, and as the serviced picked-up I realized that this was high tea in a place that had taken disjointed beauty and tackied it together for a patched tea experience that worked well. It was like the experienced was blessed and allowed by the same spirit that brought forth Raggedy Ann. For instance, the pictures show these pretty violet petaled tea cups and matching plates. This pairing was dainty and perfect for a tea party happening under pink veils. But then the sugar cubes came in a hedgehog shaped holder which was just as precious as seeing a piglet in a carriage built for one. Then the cream carrier was in the shape of a milk carton. I wondered where the missing child portrait was? The pastry plate was in the shape of a tropical flower like the ones scattered all over Hawaii. It belonged in a beautiful lei. Each of these elements was cute in its own delicate and whimsical way but together they made an eclectic hodgepodge, not a coherent tea set. And in this asymmetry laid the glitter of their error. The host also brought these clip on dainty hats that were perfect touches for make believe tea party. He carried them around in their original packing, including the box they came in. Not exactly the tailor of the queen, offering hats to the villagers as a gift from her to them, but still the effort magnified the moment. The tea food was the worst stumble that Red took as she was being chased by the Wicked Wolf. To begin with the end analysis, the tea offerings in general were standard, and not bites fit for a princess and her wedding court. For instance, the cream cheese and cucumber sandwich was just that---- a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. I detected no effort to make it more than that. The blueberry scone was solid, nothing to skip through a meadow about. But once you added the jam of the table to the scone it was much easier to enjoy. I also had a madeline that was fluffy in the center but could have been purchased maybe at Costco. I had a Macaron and same thing, delicious but I have had something similar before and I suspected that it did not come from a place afloat with Parisian affairs. The best part of the tiers was this puff like thing that had like a Concha texture and design at the top. It was a sweet filled bite that was fit for a man made of muffin.

When we got there, I felt that the decorations and drinks felt a bit gimmicky, with random fairy tale-esque elements like a throne and massive red roses. I thought it would have been very cool to see Easter eggs and more intentionality bringing the atmosphere together. Since it was an hour before closing, we didn't plan to stay very long. The two people working at the bar were both unwelcoming and seemed upset that we were there (there were other people at the bar, including people who arrived later in the night than us). We paid for our drinks, which cost over $40 for 2 drinks with tip. My cocktail was $17 and came in a glass barely bigger than a shot glass. We left around the time they were calling for last call. I can understand not wanting stragglers who prevent the bartenders from closing late, but I would have much preferred being turned away at the door rather than paying and tipping for an overall unpleasant experience.
