Great service, oozing with talented staff (maybe you will hear some original music!) and great beers right by the water. Come in and say a while. You won't be disappointed!

Exactly what I needed today. The bartenders are amazing. The vibes are really calm and make me wanna Art.

Ambiance So apparently Yelp does not Appreciate my level of Stoned right now and requires less brevity. The beer is Very The Good. The Music is Very The Good. The lighting is more excellent. I have sensitive eyes, this is what I want at Night

    Cali squeeze

Came up from SD to visit my good friend and she said " I'm going to take you to my favorite bar" so here I am enjoying a Cali squeeze enjoying this gorgeous day out. Caught the ending of the NLDS game 5 which the Dodgers lost btw...low key applauding. ‍ cheers!

Guy who grabbed my drink and threw it on the floor because I wanted to charge my phone.

Rude. Aggressive bartenders. Nowhere to charge phones. Threw a beer at me that I had paid for because I wanted to charge my phone. Take your business elsewhere!

A pint and a Park Burger
    Linda C.

Stopped in for a pint and ordered a Park Smash Burger. What a tasty burger, crispy and tasty! Grilled patty topped with grilled onions, cheese and a garlic aioli on a fresh sesame bun! Opted for a side of ranch dusted onion rings as well to share. The burger was juicy, the onion rings slightly over done but crispy, crunchy and still delicious! The service is always nice here and the beers cold. Usually a nice view of King Harbor but today it was raining but perfect for a pint and a tasty burger! This place is a SouthBay Institution with capacity of 88 beers on tap though sometimes the tap list falls short when they run out or are waiting for deliveries. It's a pier bar, it's divvy but lots of character. Jukebox and sometimes they have a band.

Nice bar with live music and a great beer selection The bartender was nice and helpful with my questions too

The Smashburgers are bomb! So is the friendly service and fun divey atmosphere. My fam loves the food here. Super casual right by the harbor area. We've tried the LA, Park Place, and my fave, the Island Burgers. These consist of double thin patties cooked to a nice char. We like the plain fries and this time tried the mozz sticks. These sticks are thick, melty with a crisp coating and a nice cheese pull. These look home cut too, not frozen. Of course you have to down at least one of the many beer selections here. We got Big Wave Dave this time. We parked by R10, a little faster and less dim than through the covered parking lot. Will be back again!

I also got a complimentary dessert of choice for my birthday. I opted for the fried ice cream (horchata flavored) which was divine and the perfect sweet treat to end the meal. We had reservations for the indoor/outdoor fire pit at 6pm but we weren't seated until almost 630pm. However, even with it being crowded the attentiveness of the servers was superb. Now the food. We got 2 pupu platters. You have the option of 5 items or 3 items. You have a wide variety of things you can put on the pupu platters which we appreciated. We had wings, shrimp, ribs, & crispy rice. We also ordered additional sides like fries, cucumbers, and garlic noodles. I also had the tuna bowl and another friend had a burger. All the food was good. Most everything on the menu is designed to be shared so that worked out for it being 9 of us. We also had drinks and they were good. Interior is very cool, dark, and had a "lava flow" floor light guiding you to the bathroom. Drinks and food were tropical themed, so we went with some mai tais to start. The mixed drinks were ok, but we switched to wine after one drink. We started with the chicken karaoke, which was not very crisp, but the meat was quite moist. I chose the duroc pork chop which came in a very sweet brown butter sauce. The chop was nicely done but I would have preferred it without any of the sauce. It was like eating a dessert sauce on my entrée. My friends were going to order the prawns, but our very smart waiter told us it came with 3 prawns and nothing else, whereas they could order the garlic noodles with added shrimp and it actually cost less than just the prawns. Two of my friends ordered his suggestions and loved it! I tasted their plates and lived the noodles too! Another friend ordered the huli huli chicken and fried rice which he enjoyed, taking the leftovers home. Overall I would recommend the garlic noodles and a glass of wine or a beer for a full meal.

And Hubbers suggested this place for a late-ish lunch because he's been here before and had a positive experience. Outdoor seating only since we had the furballs. We had our choice of where since we were the only customers on a late lunch hour. Servers were so patient with our pups (even when they were moody - my apologies!) and were even nice enough to bring them water bowls! It was a cool and cloudy day, but that didn't damper anything. In fact, we appreciated it coming off the heat wave from the last couple of weeks! Everything on their menu looked so good, it took me awhile to decide. But Hubbers and I agreed on the Kayak Tide Tray (+4 extra oysters) and the charred watermelon salad. In the meanwhile, I battled between lobster pasta and five dragon pastrami. (The pasta won out.) Hubbers went for the cedar planked Ora king salmon. And a couple of cocktails to wash it all down! KAYAK TIDE TRAY: The seasoned scallops were my favorites, hands down. The sauce was fantastic and didn't overpower the scallops' main essence. The oysters were shucked fresh and the sauces elevated the flavors a bit. Shrimps were chilled tender and had a nice chew. Cocktail sauce added flavor. The mussels? Sad to say, but half of them were served still frozen hard. So we took our time with it and let it thaw out which didn't happen until we were halfway our meal. Overall: excellent. CHARRED WATERMELON: This plate was so well put together! And not only is it pleasing to the eyes (nice touch with the micros!), it was the same with the palate. Watermelon was fresh. Charred only on one side (I'm curious what it would be like if they charred ALL the sides - will make this request - only if possible - next time!) Taking bites from each component of this salad makes all the difference: the acidity of the tomatoes are tempered by the burrata and the cucumbers, and the freshness of the watermelon makes it all refreshing. The onions added a bit of tart, as did the pomegranates. Didn't notice any macadamia nuts, but no matter! This is a must have! LOBSTER PASTA: Didn't happen... see below. LOBSTER ROLL: Served along with Hubbers' salmon plate (more on that later.) We had a different server at this point (our first one told us he was going on his break.) I thought Hubbers put in an order of this too, so I moved the plate to his side. Our server noticed this and said, "Are you sharing? Would you like an extra plate?" Hubbers confirmed he didn't other this. And that neither did I, but we are waiting on the lobster pasta. He then explained they are out of that dish, "was this not related to you?" Long story short, I told him I'd take the roll, no biggie. He offered to comp it, and if I like, I can put in another order. So I went for the pastrami. And as we waited for that, Hubbers and I split this and WOW. Bread was toasted and buttered perfect, generous with the amount of lobster, plating was a delight to the eyes, and overall delicious. I appreciated the aroma of the tarragon. Yum! FIVE DRAGON PASTRAMI: This is a generous serving, plenty to share with another. Lots of flavors with each bite but the well-seasoned and flavored pastrami dominates them all. The slaw was strong but the subtleness of the lappi balanced it out. Sourdough was perfectly toasted. I thought about not ordering this since I knew the lobster roll might have been enough, but I'm sure glad I went for it! Delish! Hubbers let me have a couple of bites off his salmon plate and O.M.G.!!! He sure picked a good one! Skin was seasoned crispy and the fish was so moist! This is probably one of the best versions of salmon I've had. (For the record, I rarely order anything salmon since 90-95% of the time, they're served dry, but this one here, I'd highly recommend.) FOOD: 4.75. SERVICE: 5. They were AMAZING!!! VALUE: 4. Given the location, pricing is understandable. But worth it. PARKING: Street/Structure only. All metered. And getting here will require a bit of a walk depending on where you parked. OVERALL: 4.5. Plans on coming back here with more people is now in the works. Looking forward to doing that soon!
