Came here on this wild, wild, wild ass St Patrick's day. And let me tell you this: it was WILD! Back in the day I used to do security here, so when I say I can feel the pain of the guards, the staff and God only knows anyone else who has to deal with drunken people......I can relate. Trust me! That said, got here right about when things began to crack and get loose. Now that can mean a lot of things to a lot of people. But I don't need a translator when I say crack and get loose! Translation: the alcohol began to kick in! CSA (customer service All Star) of this experience: The staff, servers, security, and team overall. I opted for the Dublin Burger well done-along with a non alcoholic beer. It was made to order and was delicious. And while my cousin no showed on me, it was a blast. Time to get out of here before any fists start flying and people start lying! Lol

Visiting from Houston...took a stroll down the beach with friends on a Sunday, and found a seat. HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Hennessey Lemonade!! Their Sunday afternoon musician was very entertaining.

I don't know that there's anything prettier especially on such a sacred day Sunday

If you're in Redondo Beach, do yourself a favor and stop by Hennessy's Tavern. This was one of the most genuinely enjoyable experiences I've had in years. Taylor (pretty sure that was his name) is a stuntman who bartends on the weekends--and his hospitality is next level. Easily one of the friendliest, most welcoming people I've come across in a long time. He made the whole place feel like home from the second I sat down. Food was solid, beer was ice cold and perfect, and the overall vibe just hit. Ended up capturing one of the best videos I've ever made there--had my dog with me, wasn't even planning on posting anything, but the moment was too good not to. Great energy, great people--definitely coming back.

Parking is close by. The feeling is an Irish pub. Come on a Tuesday and get one burger for free. And even better join a trivia night team lead by Jason. Lots of fun!!

Haven't been here in over 20 years... Got the old seating/view from my first date with my partner back in the days who I'm still with today! The view is amazing! The second floor up top is small but pretty cozy. They have small tvs for sports.. a decent amount of tables, and a bar up there. Got the plant-based burger, some onion rings.. it was pretty good. Our server was also friendly. She made sure we got moved quickly to the seat we wanted. She also provided everything we asked for. Overall, had a great time. Very nostalgic and memorable times up here.

You can't beat buy one get one free for their fantastic burgers! Check the website because Monday night I believe is buy one get one free burgers. But they have other specials for each day. KAY is the bartender and she is absolutely fantastic! Very nice and she took care of my friends and I with excellent customer service! Thank you KAY! And you were right the mushroom burger was fantastic!

This is my favorite place to go in Hermosa Beach for one thing, the view! Their food is pretty delicious as well, but you can't beat the view of the beach and the ocean from the upstairs patio, just fantastic! We came on a Tuesday, so took advantage of the two for Tuesday burger deal, which is a really good one by the way, and got the Irishman and the cowboy up burgers, both were really good, but I think the Irishman was my favorite. Staff was friendly and helpful in making choices and keeping our glasses full. I look forward to coming back again soon.

What a beautiful restaurant with spectacular views! Came in on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch and was seated right away on the upper floor for those views of the beautiful blue ocean. Sarah was our server and she took excellent care of us. Cute little bar on the third floor as well as the first floor. A lot of seating choices everywhere in the restaurant. My skinny margarita was nice and cold and refreshing and made perfectly. I had to order the two timin' Tuesday's with the buy one burger and get one free. They've got some very unique delicious burgers. I enjoyed the Irishman and the Frisco burger, and they were both perfectly cooked & served medium, and with all the toppings and sauces were very satisfying and flavorful. French fries were nicely crispy, and plenty of them. Prices are average. I highly recommend this establishment. Hope to be back soon!

Came here excited to go to an Irish bar for St. Patricks Day during our vacation. Paid for an Uber. They were supposed to be celebrating 50 years. First thing to get in we had to pay a five dollar cover to go inside to have dinner for myself and my husband. We were not seated had to find a table upstairs in our own. There was no drink menu which was very disappointing to start with. Next, we wanted the corn beef and cabbage dinner they had been advertising in Facebook and Instagram. Now they tell us they are out. How do they run out of this on the holiday with all the advertising they did? So I settle for a French dip sandwich. The sandwich was so gross I gave half to my husband because it was making me feel sick and the dip was a light brown onion soup or something not good. The side with that was some dry potato chips with zero flavor. When we were done we waited a very long time to pay until the manager came over and asked us if we had been taken care of. I didn't want to complain and we paid 80$ for a crappy dinner and left. I have never had to pay a cover to eat dinner before it was really weird. I only took a picture of our drinks before the disappointment set in.

Josh definitely helped make my Friday night right! He's funny, friendly & full of energy. Celebrated a (pre) birthday, listened to dope, live music by The Reál Deál, gathered with family & friends, enjoyed cold libations & ate good food. Wouldn't change anything about it...

Notice the color of the meat and lack of caramelization on the grilled onions. That's all the fries!

Came to this location (been to 3 others) for the now $7 smash burger Thursday. Rebel in Redondo has $6 double cheeseburger & Fries and Hennessy Redondo also has 241 burger Tuesday which works out to about $10. The owner of Hennessy also owns Rebel. Don't know if one owner owns them all but they might be franchises since they don't all have the same specials although the menus appear to be the same. The Hermosa smash burger with cheese and grilled onions while cheap at $7 was just not good. It could have been good but the Pattie's look as though they were steamed since they were grey in color with no sear or char. Both Rebel and Hennessy Redondo know how to cook their meat. I heard the cook after 5 is better because he couldn't be much worse. If you get a soft drink you get about 4 ounces in a giant glass of ice. I've noticed all Hennessys are not at all good at refilling drinks. The fries were ok but a child's portion at best. Everything about rebel and RB Hennessys is superior food wise the Hermosa. 3 stars is generous and reflects the fact that the burger and fries were only $7. Execution could fix the problem. And a pickle!

Small parking lot that may park about 5 cars and watch the street signs for parking. Pool table & full service bar. Mostly bar seating with a banquette along one wall. What made this bar cool is Sandra, la Reina de Moctezuma as she refers to herself. Breezy, lively, nonchalante, a bit coquettish to the "right guy", socially charming to her other guests. She creates her own story line to create her aura & drama. Author John Rechy, if he were straight, would have featured Miz Sandra in one of his novels like the City of Night. Ordered a pint of Guinness & Harp combination, but I didn't call it a "black & tan" in an Irish pub for historical reasons. But Sandra told me they don't have Harp, and suggested I do a Snake Bite instead which is half Guinness & Hard Cider. I opted for just Guinness since I wasn't in an experimental mood. Later, she was kind enough to let me sample a shot of the Strong Bow Hard Cider which was smooth, sweet, acidic with actual sour apple flavour. Next time I'll have to order the Snake Bite. Don't know how exactly Irish Sly Fox is with its grunge-garage rock music. But it's a good, unpretentious, local hang out. And of course, there's Sandra, la Reina de Moctezuma who is worth the visit. 4- stars

We were daunted by the 1.5 hr drive to where we were staying and hoped that eating closer would save some time later. It did! Rasselbock is a bit hidden away but we found it with street metered parking nearby. We had arranged for a reservation but we hardly needed it. The place was mostly empty when we arrived. Music was thumping, and not German music. It was classic rock but a touch too loud. So keep that in mind. I appreciated that they had Erdinger beer. That's some of the best beer around. I chose the non alcoholic since I had a drive ahead. I was told it might not be cold enough and the server brought me the bottle to sample it by touch. I cheerfully noted Germans don't drink very cold beer and it was fine. My wife and I ordered schnitzels, she chicken and I pork. She had the Oma's potato salad - which with mustard and mayo really would not have passed muster with a real Oma like mine. She reported it was good anyway. I had spaetzle and cucumber dill salad. The kids both had a bratwurst, salad and fries. On the whole the schnitzels were good. Not entirely authentic but USA-good enough. I'd say the same for my spaetzle and salad. One kid liked the bratwurst, one didn't. I found what I tried of the sausage to be pretty good. The stone ground mustard was particularly good. Service was a little slow to start but the food came quickly and we were off. A 4.2 rounds to a flat 4. German food is hard to come by anywhere, so I welcome it. Especially with a good selection of beer. They serve multiple sizes included a liter "mass." Sounds great but I think those days are behind me. Definitely worth a try.

The large order used to have 4 large pieces of fish, now it's only 3 small pieces that are heavily breaded with some sort of chewy/gummy dough. Save your money and drive out to Malibu Seafood to still get that authentic pub style fish taste. Come for a drink, but no the fish. It's not the same classic taste that used to make me drive miles for. Of course, I ate it because I was beyond starving and hate wasting food but today may forever be my last hooray as the fish is what drew me here. It was always cooked to perfection and taste, but alas those days are gone. New ownership? I don't know but pinching a penny should be worth losing folks over lesser quality food.
