Can I move in here? The food is phenomenal. Service is top notch. Great drinks. Such a vile. Feels like home and everyone is a friend. You walk in as a patron and leave as family. I can't stop thinking about the cheese burger!!!

Tavern on Main is a solid spot for late night bites or a drink. It's great because it's open later than a lot of the places around on weekdats and their kitchen stays open till 11. The service is fast and friendly, and the ambiance is that of a nice and cozy local bar. I highly recommend the grilled cheese with tater tots and the buffalo cauliflower! The nachos are not bad either, but the other two stole the show, pretty good for bar food. Food:4.25/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Value: 4/5 Overall: 4/5

I went there today for the first time after living here for nearly 6 years and boy was I missing out! The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, and it had a good vibe to it. I'd been looking for a place with good fish and chips forever and finally found it. Plus, they have bomb root beer floats.

Friendly neighborhood pub! Food was great (I had the boneless wings and the portion was generous), delicious drinks and wonderful barstaff. Parking can be tricky when it's busy but on the random Tuesday evening I stopped here it was not awful. Really reasonable prices and close to the airport if you want to stop for a meal/beverage before heading there. I wish there were more establishments like this one in all of California.

Service, Food and Drinks were great. Yoshie was our server and did a marvelous job for not being at this establishment long. Her recommendations were spot on and her attention to detail was phenomenal. By the time she punched our order the drinks were hand delivered by the owner, unbelievable. The burger was superb as was the grilled cheese. We will definitely return.

Great vodka soda with a splash of cranberry with a tajin rim , thanks Richard . Best bartender in El Segundo

One of those evenings we ended up at Hennessey's Tavern as a glance at the menu showed that there would be something for everyone, and indeed that was definitely the case! First up was that they had some good drink choices I never expected from an Irish pub alongside classic choices and all at very reasonable prices, especially for being right near the beach, only two or three blocks. Just like usual I opted for soup, going with their French onion, and then a corned beef sandwich, and I am VERY critical of corned beef anything due to my family deli background. But this sandwich was damn good. Not the best, but really good. High quality corned beef and more on the lean kosher side and the rye bread was also on point. Absolutely delicious! Another highlight was the hand cut and fried potato chips, presumably russets, cooked until they were nice and dark brown for all those wonderful robust and earthy flavors that you don't often get from potato chips unless they're handmade. Everything at Hennessey's was really good and in a fun Irish pub atmosphere. The Guinness also took the meal up a notch as it should. This was definitely a nice stop on our trip and had we more time to spend, we likely would have returned here again simply because of the good selection and the quality to price. If you are in and around Manhattan Beach and you want something that is a little heartier and is centered around that traditional pub vibe, this is definitely the way. Give them a shot and stop on in!

They have a good selection of beers. The seating is packed, but it's fun and festive. We got the 15 minute wings. I have to say, they were just okay. For the price, I'm not sure they are worth it. The sauce is a little sweet, and no one at my table thought it was as amazing as they claim. Don't get me wrong, they have good crunch and all that, but they end up being almost $3.00 a wing. I got the simmzys burger that's kinda like a smash burger. I didn't love the texture of the meat. I don't know what grind they are using, but it felt like a cheaper grind. It had some bits that were chewy. My husband had the other burger and he thought the same. Didn't love the meat. The fries are thin and you can mix with sweet potato fries which is fun. The tostada was a great deal for the price. I liked the place. I just wasn't blown away. They do a good job. But I've had better wings and burgers. Worth a try. I'd come again and order differently.

Every round that hit the table was a "pass it around, everybody try this" moment. The kind of happy hour where you're not just snacking -- you're accidentally having a full-on dinner because you can't stop ordering "one more thing." Food: Legit. Everything we tried was solid, but the wings were the standout for me -- the kind you keep reaching for even when you tell yourself you're good. Great flavor, cooked right, and they held their own against any wing spot that claims they're "known for wings." Whatever they're doing back there, keep doing that. Service / experience: This is where they really won. Trent was our guy tonight and I can't say enough about him. Manager supreme is the right title -- he wasn't just checking boxes, he was running the whole experience. He served, suggested, kept the pacing perfect, and made it feel effortless while still being locked in the entire time. You can tell when someone actually cares that your night is going well, and Trent is that dude. Major asset to this business and the kind of manager that turns first-time visits into "we're coming back next week." Atmosphere was exactly what you want for Manhattan Beach happy hour: lively, comfortable, easy to settle in, and perfect for a group. We came to try the menu and ended up staying for the vibe. Only complaint -- and it's not even on them, it's on the "beach cities trying to save the world one soggy sip at a time" vibe -- the paper straws. I swear those things last 11 minutes before they turn into a wet napkin. Let me live, Rockerfellas Bottom line: If you want a happy hour that actually delivers, Rockerfellas is it. Bring friends, come hungry, and if you get Trent taking care of you? You're in elite hands. We'll be back.

Decent bar. Would have liked it better with more attentive service…read more Food was decent bar food. Nothing to write home about, but solid as is. Took 15-20 min to order a beer and took another 15-20 to get our check. Slow moving place. I liked the environment and the energy here, just didn't feel super taken care of.

Came here for King Trivia on a Wednesday night and had a blast!…read more I had called to see if reservations were needed, or a fee paid or anything else I would need to know prior to arriving. The young lady who took my call said, 'Nothin'! Come have a good time and play some trivia. He starts at 8pm.' Parking is metered at the street. 2 Hr limit until 6pm. Upon arriving at 7:30, we were greeted warmly by, I would guess, an owner. She invited us to have a seat anywhere. When I mentioned we were there for trivia and asked if there's a section of the restaurant for that she said, 'No, any seat is good and the whole restaurant is invited to play.' Cool! We got a great spot, she took our drink order and we and dove into the menu. Our server came by to greet us and answer any questions. I was happy to hear they create their own flour tostada bowls, so I went with that. Hubs chose a beef quesadillas. His was a very generous serving, which I ended up "helping" him finish - it was really delicious and the red sauce had a little kick to it. The chicken, beans and such in my salad was good but, unfortunately, the tostada shell was a bit too greasy. They had a Wednesday Stir Fry Special I think I should have gone with, but no worries. Next time! We were checked with regularly and all the employees were hopping to keep the patrons - many regulars and locals - happy and cared for. We had a lot of fun playing Trivia and Jason was a great host. We also appreciated that the other teams were fun and welcoming. Competitive and smack talkin', but lots of laughs and all were having fun. In the end, we came in 2nd and claimed a gift card! So we will definitely, and happily, be coming back to OB's. Cheers!
