The Joxer Daly is really cool Irish bar located in the heart of Culver City. They serve good food and great drinks. Everything flies out really fast snd taste really good. A friend of mine told me they show Premier League Soccer games early in the morning and later afternoon have not been fortunate enough to catch one but hope to this year. The nachos were really delicious and tasty wish they were a bit something cheesier but they are irish nachos so I don't know what they entail entirely but they are delicious. In my previous life, I used to write sketch comedy for fun at the iOWest and Second City in Hollywood, until that wet blanket of a pandemic closed both venues. UCB was also on my schedule to support my comedian friends on stage. Back then, I'd catch a comedy show multiple times a week - and I realized I really miss that part of me. Laughter is sunshine for the soul and it makes me happy to get my daily stress out with some giggles. *** COMEDY x SPORTS BAR *** To keep with the Yelp Elite's 2026 theme of doing more hobbies, I decided to tap into one of mine, which I almost totally forgot about. So when I heard about HOLLY STARR'S OPEN MIC night from one of the guests I met at The LA Breakfast Club last month, I thought I'd check it out. I was in the Culver City area on a random Tuesday and wanted to avoid LA traffic back to the Eastside. *** THE PUB STUFF *** Joxer Daly's is a great sports bar with lots of TVs, a decent-sized stage with seating area, and some fun games in the corner. Every Tuesday at 8pm, that stage is set for LA's comedians who want to try out new material in an intimate setting. There's a ONE DRINK MINIMUM, which isn't hard considering they have a slew of brews on tap, one cider, and a full bar with top shelf choices & well drink specials. There's also bar food to snack on. Since I was drinking Guinness, it also served as my dinner for the night. *** THE DEETS FOR COMEDIANS *** 7:45pm. SIGN UP. The FIRST 10 to sign up, get center stage and all eyeballs focused on them for a dedicated amount of time. What I liked about this crowd is that everyone was really cool and it felt like a community. Some of the comedians were friends, some were stopping by to just test their wit. Some jokes landed, some not so much. Either way, no hecklers in this crowd and everyone put on their big boy/girl pants to show their respect. All the support was genuine. And it was all very inclusive with a he, she, they in the bunch offering diverse POVs and different styles & punchlines. Other highlights: From what I heard, there's always at least one professional, touring comic at the mic. So you never know who may show up. (This is LA of course.) Also, no need to search endlessly for a spot or feed a meter while anxiously checking your watch because there's plenty of FREE STREET PARKING, which is a luxury on the Westside. And laughs are also complimentary. Perhaps one day, I may dare to step up to that mic, but I'll need to excavate my pent up mommy issues or let another decade or pandemic pass. For now, I'll hide behind my laptop and save the stage for the real comedians in LA trying to make it & make me laugh -- even if I am the butt of their jokes. read more

I came here on a Wednesday night somewhere around 8:30pm. Food: I liked my burger (it was well done by default) and really liked how the buns were soft and fresh. The fries were not what I ordered (I asked for sweet potato fries and got skinny fries) but I like all fries either way and the skinny fries were good. I ate it alllll. The pickles and lettuce came on the side with some carrot sticks and ranch. No complaints here. Service: The bartender is a nice lady but I think the only one working and so you must order at the bar. Our food was ready and we had to wait a little for it but not a huge deal. Ambiance is what you'd expect of a sports bar on any given weeknight. On the louder side, neighborhood bar with people who are clearly regulars, but chill. Lots of screens. We stopped by today to check out the place. I read lots of reviews, but not one mentioned the condition of the long couch. The material (I doubt real leather) on the couch is all torn up, rough to your touch and disgusting looking. WHY haven't they REUPHOLSTERED it? I'll be bringing a towel to sit upon for sure! I used to come here for a fun Friday lunch with coworkers years ago. Happened to be by and got the single fried fish taco for $5.99 that is an actual meal in itself. There are two tortillas and enough fish etc to make 2 tacos, plus chips, salsa, and some fresh veg for good measure. With a proper beer - Smithwick's even! - it came to around $16. I've only gone here to watch the Arsenal games. So my review is based on that. Effing awesome, great vibe. Wall size TV. Anywhere you look you can watch. We've had the breakfast burrito and enjoyed it. The service was excellent, efficient and smiley. Being around all the fans to watch the games is an amazing experience, and we're lucky that Joxer Daly's opens it doors early for every game. It's unfortunate that those like not as much attention given to the guests we went to Joxer to catch the fight and we got a good seat. You know they weren't charging at the door, which was great. I love that you know everything I love it. It's like dive bar with a sports theme. You know what's not to love right, but there was these people that were so entitled sitting in front of us that they were drinking their beers, turning around and putting them on our table and when she did it the third time I looked her dead in her eyes and I was like really? And she was like oh I didn't realize anyone was sitting there and I'm like uh-huh. She picked up her beers and put them back on her table so if there was a waiter that was walking around Moore that wouldn't have happened but also, she was rude so I guess I can't really knock the bar for rude people in it, but I can knock the bar for not having enough help on a night where there's a fight plus the people that were in front of us were just being rude. They didn't think that the underdog was gonna win and the underdog won and it was a great fight and that guy worked his butt off to get to the next weight class to fight and it's the third time he's done it. He's now a heavyweight and I'm like that shows that he's got some serious grit. He could actually win this thing and the Irish guy was just a little lackadaisical. He was a little bigger, but his punches weren't landing right so we were happy and then there was a family in front of those People that were rooting for the underdog and he won and I can't tell you how fast those rude people walked away and got out of there before they got clowned. Anyhow, I will return. I just hope that the next time there's a little more service there was only like a bartender and like a bar back and it was like just not enough and I don't expect to be having five star service at a dive bar, but I certainly don't expect to have to Not not have somebody bring me beer. Terrific place for our birthday party! We had about 60 friends come to Joxer Daly's for a birthday party. Susan was super helpful in helping us figure out the food, the decorations and reserving some tables. She also made sure that everything went as planned on the actual night. The guests had a great time, moving in between the indoor space and the tables outside. They loved the food (esp the chicken fingers, sliders, and fries), said the bartenders and staff were great, and loved the overall chill vibe. I've been coming here over 2 decades for the fried fish and have referred around 100 folks over the years. While my bartender was very kind a super cool, the food is now a HUGE disappointment. The large order used to have 4 large pieces of fish, now it's only 3 small pieces that are heavily breaded with some sort of chewy/gummy dough. The bread is super tiny and barely equivalent to a small slice of a tiny French baguette. The carrot cuts are also much smaller. Way to ruin a good thing. Save your money and drive out to Malibu Seafood to still get that authentic pub style fish taste. Come for a drink, but no the fish. It's not the same classic taste that used to make me drive miles for. Of course, I ate it because I was beyond starving and hate wasting food but today may forever be my last hooray as the fish is what drew me here. It was always cooked to perfection and taste, but alas those days are gone. New ownership? I don't know but pinching a penny should be worth losing folks over lesser quality food. I beg of you to fix it. They also provide suggested gratuity based on total WITH tax. Check your bills as you should only be tipping on food service. read more

We wanted to bar hop around the area and this was our first stop. The bar was not busy and they had a movie playing on the big screen until the DJ showed up. The bartender is attentive and the bar maid was kind enough to give us free fries because my friend asked for a snack. REDS: if you're in LA County, this is the place to be for Liverpool matches. Have traveled to many bars across the country for Liverpool matches and this ranks among the top for both environment and the quality of the staff. Despite the size of the crowd (Utd 0-3 Liverpool) there were very few problems, no delays at the bar, and a positive attitude from the staff. So my friend and I went here after umpiring a baseball game. Ordered the chicken wings and chicken nachos. The chicken nachos came without the chicken but we didn't have time to send back. We made sure we weren't charged. The nachos were a plate of chips with melted shredded cheese, not even melted well. The cheese would just fall off the chips. The wings were not any better. They were just cooked wings put on a plate with sauce pouted over them, instead of tossed in sauce the put on plate. The beer and sprit selection was good. A year later, the fish and chips is still good. I'm a pretty big dude, yet the waiter says that a full order is massive. So I ordered the half order and I'm full. Anyone else would've went for the money. I think that's a great example of customer service. My drink stayed full. Fries got better. This Culver City dive bar is a great place to watch futbol. It's the home bar for Liverpool FC fans, and they make room for Westside LA Gooners when Arsenal games are broadcast. There's over a dozen TVs here, so they can show multiple sports/games here at the same time. On a visit this summer they were showing the Dodgers, NBA summer league, Africa Cup of Nations futbol, Women's World Cup and more in the same morning. There's a full bar here and about a dozen beers on tap, including a few craft beers such as Firestone Walker DBA. They have Guinness and a lot of the usual suspects, pitchers too. The food here is your basic bar food - burgers, sandwiches, wings, nachos, salads and more. There's several breakfast items here, which is important for those early morning English Premier League games. The portions are large! It's next door to Ramen Yamadaya, one of the better ramen shops in town. The staff here is great! They're friendly, hard working and knowledgeable. They can easily handle the demands of a huge thirsty soccer crowd early in the morning, as well as a late night DJ and karaoke scene. Eugene & Pete in particular are very capable bartenders. This is a swell Westside dive bar, and a great place to watch sports, particularly footie. read more

Still my absolute fave local sports bar. Not only are the drinks strong and cheap, the environment is inclusive of everyone. Every time I go, Eugene and Shannon are there to welcome everyone with a smile. The place def gets packed for sports events-particularly soccer and football-but it's absolutely always a good time. Joxers is the kind of place where...well, you just feel welcome. Always enjoy coming here for food during the week, love their Joxer burger and the Tuna Melt, I add extra Cheese. Service is great, the girls here are so friendly and fast. Have to give a special shout-out to Fernando, he made me a delicious Michelada (his own style) it was a little busy, but he showed that extra love.
