Kat is a very kind bartender. I enjoyed the vibes and will be back for more karaoke Fridays! Also why is it so brightly lit inside?

If you're looking for a sports bar that's divey and has decent happy hour options or if you're a 49ers fan - very nice to Michigan fans too - this is your spot. Feels like you're at your grandads, has large booths and pretty spacious, and the staff is really friendly. There are a lot of TVs and plenty of screens to comfortably watch a game. The only thing that threw me off was the menu I was given for a place called "Eric's Cousine" not Eric's Cuisine. My only question is who is Eric's cousin? If he made my chicken quesadilla, it was great for bar food, I wouldn't say it was cuisine but it was really good. Go Blue!

First time ever at a Niner meet up and Schooners was a perfect spot for it! Great food, drinks, service, and Niners all over the place!! Will definitely be coming back!! Only negative: lower the sound on the speakers. My right ear is still ringing.

We went to check out this spot because we heard one of our old friends did karaoke here following everything opening back up in Cali. Come to find out, it's only on Friday but we were there on Saturday. Anywho, we opted to chill and have a couple of drinks and listen to the amazing music playlist playing. The staff was very friendly, attentive and very social. A very welcoming vibe and the drinks are done right and at a great price. Definitely will check this place back out soon on Fridays for karaoke but as a new spot to chill, reflect and enjoy great company.

I recall in the last two decades this was a Mediterranean bar, Chinese restaurant, Jimmy's Bar (featured on Bar Rescue) and in the past few years, it's Schooner's. Friends invited me to Karaoke(Starts at 8 pm) on a Friday night. Thankfully, for the patrons, I did NOT sing. There's an interesting mix of folks here. From the silver-haired who are given priority to sing earlier in the evening I the same room with a diverse group of Milennials. In the sports bar area where I sat, you can't see the Karaoke. The screens are all games. It's worth getting up to check out the crooners. There are also many local regulars who walk over. Drinks are reasonable priced. My Vodka soda was decent and so were the wings I ordered. Parking in the lot but there is a small parking garage below as well.

Great prices. Better than McDonald's. Paid $7 for a hot dog and fries. $5 for a shot of liquor.

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

It's challenging to locate a good restaurant brewery that has the right atmosphere, making me willing to overlook certain aspects. Ambiance: Restaurant is cooly decorated! The children both indoors & outdoors were horse playing and screeching (octaves of birds) which was very distracting. Not a good catch up spot for this reason hard to hear people you're with. The trash was overflowing, the toilet seat covers were smashed into the inserts, and there was paper all over the floor. Bathroom: 1/5. I sat down, and the menus were already on the table. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to order, so we started with a lemonade and a tea. We ordered the Clobster roll with fries, and I ordered the Connecticut Style lobster roll with no fries and a side salad. The side salad with ranch dressing definitely hit the spot! Unfortunately, the Cajun shrimp roll didn't do it for me. It needed more flavor and mostly tasted like mayo. After two bites, I decided not to eat it and gave it to my son. He enjoyed his meal, though! I also ordered another lobster roll to go, along with a soda and fries, for a friend of mine who works down the street at the barbershop. I was also gifted a juice and a huge cookie, which was a nice touch! If there's one thing I'd change, it would definitely be the bathroom. Other than that, I enjoyed the TVs, the overall look and feel of the place, the area, and especially the guitars and décor. Those details really gave the restaurant some character. Would I come back? Yes -- but I'd definitely try something different next time. Thank you, Rudy! Overall rating: 3.8/5

I believe that Holiday's matter, not as days that drive chocolate and flower sales, but as…read morereminders that whimsy should be celebrated to make life a bit more colorful and joyous. Scrooge might say "Bah! Humbug!" to festivities but, in other hand, say "hab gubmuh" to the days and seasons that bring mirth, hanging streamers and disco balls into our life, lest these be left in grayscale. That is why I was attracted to this bar because I wanted to know be drenched in red and pink glamour while all the way celebrating that very special feeling of love. As, soon I entered the door and saw the exaggerated decorations on the roof and on the walls, my immediate thought was "fun," not corny, or please with these hanging hearts and neon lights. Thus this place owns the trip to love land without apology, and I for one, say that this means that the festive goal hoped for hit heart center. I also went relatively early, in terms of bar crowd hours, and was surprised that the place was full to its arteries. Truth be told, that is why, I ticked one star of my overall rating because this place is cute and a vibe, and a worthy scene, but it is also small and packed to the point where folks are proverbial sardines in a tin can. But more on that later, right now, we start with what gave me anchor in place: their pool table. There is no place to sit, amidst the crowd, I automatically assessed. Where can I be to find my place? So I went to the table and played pool. I appreciated that the place had clearly articulated rules and procedures for play, which removed ambiguity and created a climate of respect toward the game, which allows for pool games where appropriate and competitive game play reigns. I managed to order a drink on theme for the night: a Misty Kiss. It was the bartender's suggestion, after I asked for their sweetest cocktail. When she first suggested it, I thought she said minty kiss, and thus when she delivered the drink, I was expecting some kind of shamrock shade. But then I heard the appropriate pronunciation- misty, not minty. I wondered when a literal misty kiss would be appropriate and beautiful? Then I remember scanning a picture book of love pictures, and one was of a woman saying goodbye to her sailor as he shipped of to fight in a world war, and I realized that the sadness in her eyes as she said goodbye was a form of a misty kiss. I took my Misty Kiss and played a game of pool with a guy named Matt. He revealed that he played every day, which explained why I did not stand a chance against a daily player, balance in talent simply did not exist. It was hard to find a spot to place my drink, which tasted swell, and was on brand for the evening, and quite stiff! It was hard to find a seat or a spot for me to call my own. And it was for others as well. I saw people going to the bathroom and needing to allocate themselves in near hunches to avoid the sticks of pool. And out in the crowd, people were huddled on the floor, not sure where to be so they could feel like they had a space of their own and did not bump with others. But there was no way to avoid bumping into others, and it was a mission to find a spot. That is why when I saw a table for two open up, I did a mad dash to an empty chair, like a fool in love who rushes in. It is at the chair where I could not only see but stop and admire the paper roses of the place. As my pictures show, the place truly did not limit itself from embracing the spirit of Valentine's day. For instance, they had this wall of decorations, with hearts, orbs (white, red, pink) teddy bears, and so much more; it was a tapestry hung just right for the occasion. Of course, people wanted to use the wall as the backdrop but with so many people, this too, required a wait and navigate plan. I did help some folks out by taking their pictures. I was not Cupid but in these moments I did hope that my aim was true. In the final analysis, I immensely appreciated the decorations, and all of the folks who dressed for the occasion, because it gave texture and meaning to the decor. But the tight quarters limited the love I can give to this place. However, I do know now where to go, where I want a themed drink, and environment to boot.
