Best Steak Samdwich of all time!

Skylar, AJ and ALL other staff were great. Food was phenomenal. Vibe was on point. Live band was so entertaining. Drinks were yummy. Will definitely be back! The steak sandwich has me drooling just thinking about it. Absolute BEST steak sandwich I have EVER had. 10/10 spot.

Its in a fun area, right by off the main street for the pier. Parking is a gamble but I got lucky and got a street spot pretty close by. I had made a reservation by phone earlier in the day, the employee on the phone was really helpful and also informed me they would have live music. This was a Friday night, so not sure how often that happens! The restaurant was very modern and just the right level of upscale without being too formal. I really enjoyed their espresso martini, and their tater tots! Both had a great taste so honorable mention to them. The entrees we had were good. Everything was cooked well and had a great blend with everything on the plate. I would have liked a bit more flavor, the pasta felt a tad too plain/average. For two people for dinner it was about $150. I would recommend this place to check out and see how you like it. Definitely overall worth a try especially for whats in the area!

Really great food and delicious. Highly recommend the place. Highly recommend this place. Ambience is great as well

I heard this place is one of the most popular spots in Hermosa Beach to get some drinks. We stopped by after our lunch and stroll along the pier. We tried their spicy margarita and a drink called Naked and Famous. Both were pretty good. The bartender that worked that day was very nice and friendly (too bad I forgot his name). Hope someday I can make another visit on the weekend where they have a live music performance.

Decadence is a restaurant bar in the heart of the Hermosa Pier area. The ambiance is very cozy and the decoration is very appealing. They have a singer and I believe they do karaoke nights. Service was a little slow but other than that we had a great time. We had Hot Toddies and dumplings. They were both really good. Highly recommend to come with a group of friends.

This bar is very modern with cool music. AJ made us the PERFECT Espresso Martini, so delicious the picture speaks for itself. Love the vibe and atmosphere. Very close to the Hermosa Beach pier.

I started coming here for boozy bingo but keep coming back for the amazing food, cocktails, and staff. My friends and and I have probably tried 60% of the menu between the 3 of us and are never disappointed. I'm not a tator tot person but they make the tastiest tator tots I've ever had. Their fries are great too. I recommend both. The lychee splash and Hermosa Breeze are our favorite cocktails. I like that there are various styles of places to sit. You can choose from regular table, high top table, bar, booth seating, or couch. Everyone that works there is very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Bartender is great! So if you ever need a cool place to meet friends, I recommend Decadence. I also recommend it if you want to play some fun bingo by the beach.

Great place! Good happy hour deals. Spotless bar and kitchen, great food and vibes! Staff was friendly and helpful.

My wife and I had the pleasure of having our small reception here at Decadence. We were honestly scrambling and trying to find a nice place with good food to accommodate and the owner reached out to us. She was always available for calls and questions. The day of the event, she along with her staffing made sure not only that the day was special for us by tending to us and all of our guests but even the normal customers who walked in. The food was amazing, the vibe, aesthetic, and cleanliness was great as well. Thanks Skylar & team!

The interior is beautiful and the name is cool. The mushrooms we had were delicious and the bill was presented uniquely in a small wooden box. However, the owner was commandeering the bar the night we were there and should have left the drinks to the bartender standing beside her. My Espresso martini was made with Kahlua (as is traditional) but she said it had Bailey's (perhaps why she thought the sign out front should read "BEST Espresso Matinis") so I asked her to leave that out. She was momentarily flustered and said that's how she made it but I managed to get her to leave it out. My two friends decided to try it her way; she asked how they liked it and they told her they preferred the one with no Bailey's as well. She seemed put off by our opinions. Both drinks tasted like dessert, with no hint of vodka, which is the opposite of how a martini should be made. We may try the bar again, hopefully when the bartender is in charge. In the meantime, we'll hang at Zane's down the street for a top notch experience.

The ambiance was great and it was a really nice spot in front of the Pier. We sat outside since it was good weather, I didn't account for the afternoon chill though once the sunset. Good thing to keep in mind when choosing outside or inside. The inside was really pretty (saw this on my way to the restroom later) so I wish I would have chosen to sit inside. Now for the food, this was really the only let down. The guacamole and chips were started with was okay, slightly bland in flavor. I got the fish tacos, my husband got the Chipotle Pollo y Hongos (listed as a house specialty), got a taco and nacho plate for my kids off the kids menu. The rice was like a green rice, super bland and dry and this came on both of the adult plates. The red rice that came with the kids food was actually better. The refried beans tasted like something that came out of a can, dry as heck and again, bland. Fish tacos were meh, fish was fishy and the slaw it comes with did not have the flavor I am usually looking for when I think fish tacos. My husband's chicken was yummy, and I wished I had gotten that instead. Only con was the dry rice and beans it comes paired with. Maybe my biggest gripe was the food not tasting authentic at all, and this Mexican girl loves her Mexican food, or maybe I just got the wrong plates. In my experience, if the basics are wrong (rice and beans) the rest has little hope. However, I must say that Dessert was amazing, I got some kind of yummy ice cream (maybe the Helado Frito?) to blow out my birthday candle. It was the silver lining for sure :) Service was great, and they were very accommodating. I felt bad telling them I hated the food but I wanted to write an honest review for those, like myself, who rely on reviews when choosing a good dinner spot.

The bathroom I used was gender neutral, and there is a convenient parking lot right in front. They do not serve food here, so some folks bring their own. So, this afternoon's walk, my friend and I decided to stop in - not quite lunch, not quite dinner ... the best of both! First, the best view, sitting outside with the perfect balance of sun and shade and a view of the ocean. Next, truly one of the best service experiences - Danny! He made a great first impression and just kept raising the bar - his recommendations were spot on. His knowledge of the menu was so helpful and he seemed to truly take joy in making us happy. We shared the Tuna Tataki, Crispy Popcorn Cauliflower, Sweet Potato Fries, and as if that wasn't already over the top and enough ... the Rocket Calabrese Salad with Hanger Steak. I never order steak as I usually don't enjoy it. Danny ensured us this would be the best pairing for the salad and he did not lie! It was cooked to perfection. I might now be a carnivore! We were so full and yet I couldn't leave a leaf, crumb or morsel behind. Oh and because we were talking about tequila - he encouraged us to sample their house infused tequila (infused with pineapple and mango). Oh my! You can tell the chefs are dedicated to the craft. They're a 2025 bib gourmand restaurant and are hoping to aim for their first star, so their efforts into the decor, ambiance, and food shows (good luck!). The waitstaff/chefs were also very attentive. Mussels Tart - really delicious. Super unique and beautifully plated. No taste of fishiness or the ocean. Just overall a 5/5 dish that you must try. Beef tongue - I normally enjoy beef tongue thinly sliced at a Korean BBQ restaurant or coarsely chopped up in a street taco. They do it differently here. The beef tongue is one big cube. It's very flavorful and tender. Not as amazing as the mussels tart but still worth a try. Chili crab - this put them on the map. SUPER DELICIOUS. It's not what you'd expect from a creation called 'chili crab'. There's no shell to be seen and the crab meat is actually buried underneath. Scoop from the inside out. Tons of flavor and I wished the portion size was doubled. Lamb pappardelle - if you like lamb then you'll love this. Lots of different spices and flavors. It has a very deep flavor profile that makes you appreciate all the work and thought that went into designing this dish. I'd get this again also! Strawberry tiramisu - they brought this out for the birthday celebration. They prepared it in a gigantic bowl. Scooped out a generous portion and plated it right in front of us. I have a soft spot for tiramisu so I'd recommend this too. Best of luck on the Michelin star! I'd come back. 5/5

I really wanted to love this place. I read all the glowing…read morereviews and convinced myself the negative ones were probably just misunderstandings... but wow, I had it completely backwards. First, the restaurant itself is undeniably cute and cozy, tucked away in a corner of Hermosa Beach. Our first impression was honestly great, and we were excited to try it. Our reservation was at 5:00 PM, but when we arrived, the staff was still inside having what looked like a team huddle or group therapy session well past opening time. At first I thought maybe I got the hours wrong and they actually opened at 5:30. Nope -- 5:00 was correct. I understand pre-shift meetings happen. But maybe do the motivational speech at 4:50 instead of making customers stand outside after your posted opening time? They finally opened the doors around 5:10. Once seated, our server introduced himself by saying he was also one of the chefs, and apparently everyone dressed in white both cooks and serves. I didn't really understand the concept, but honestly, I don't care who brings the food as long as the food is good. These are what we ordered: SQUID -- This tasted like it had been marinated directly in seawater. Painfully salty. I genuinely did not understand the dish at all. Boiled squid with egg salad? Why? The portion was tiny, and we were hungry, so we basically used the mussels tart to dilute the salt enough to finish it. MUSSELS TART -- Actually delicious. No complaints here. BISTRO SALAD -- This was honestly shocking. It was SO sour that it was practically inedible. -- we literally take straight lemon shots every morning but this dish was hard to eat. This wasn't "bright acidity." This was weaponized vinegar. Bitter, aggressively sour, and tongue-numbing after one bite. We had to send it back because it was simply not edible. CABBAGE -- Flavor was good overall, but parts of it were so burnt that I genuinely questioned whether it was intentional or someone forgot it existed in the kitchen. Maybe it's culinary art I'm too uncultured to understand. FISH DIANE -- Delicious. No complaints at all. What ultimately made us decide we won't return wasn't even the inconsistent food -- it was the attitude. They still charged us for the salad we literally could not eat after sending it back. Then the couple next to us asked to keep one menu because they planned to order more later. One of the servers told them not to leave it on the table because she didn't want the menu to get dirty. The menu was a single flimsy printed paper menu. Not leather-bound. Not handmade parchment from the 1700s. Just printer paper. The whole experience felt oddly pretentious for a place serving burnt cabbage and acid salad. Some dishes were genuinely good, but the hospitality felt nonexistent and the food was wildly inconsistent. Cute restaurant, but definitely not somewhere we'd return to.
