Nestled in the heart of downtown Redondo Beach, Redondo Beach Brewing Company is a craft beer lover's treasure chest. There are so many beers on tap that it's hard to keep count, and that's definitely not a bad thing. I'm partial to West Coast IPAs, and they have several excellent options, but the selection doesn't stop there. You'll find New England IPAs, porters, stouts, and everything in between. One of my personal favorites is the Milagro Nitro Stout. They even have "flavored water" like Modelo for those with questionable taste in beer. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. It's the kind of place where you can bring your kids, meet friends, or simply unwind after work. The background music is usually classic rock played at a reasonable volume, so you can actually hold a conversation. Large TVs above the bar typically have sports on, adding to the laid-back vibe. The service is another reason I keep coming back. Both bartenders are absolute class acts--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the beer they serve. Whether you're a craft beer veteran or someone trying something new, they make you feel welcome and are always happy to offer recommendations. The food deserves recognition as well. I've tried a variety of menu items over multiple visits and haven't been disappointed. In fact, I'm genuinely surprised when I see complaints about the food on Yelp. It's good bar food done right, not a gourmet restaurant pretending to be something it's not. Needless to say, I'll be back. Actually, I already have been--many times. If you're looking for great beer, great people, a comfortable atmosphere, and solid food in Redondo Beach, this place is well worth a visit. read more

Used to be a great place 15 years ago but they have not progressed since then. The food is of good quality yet the menu just screams the 90's. It's a shame as the Riv has changed and improved but not RBBC Their biggest issue seems to be service, if you are not a buddy or friend good luck. Waiting for service while the bartender and server are chatting and having a snack behind the bar. Some of the guest walk around and act like they are owners. I've been going here for about 18 years and am always pleased. It's both a restaurant trans a sports bar and very active in the evenings. The upstairs features inside and patio dining, but up a flight of steps. We started with the very tasty Mediterranean Artichokes which came on a mixture of garbanzo beans, basil, olives, tomatoes, onions & capers. Not what I expected but still really good. I'd have it again in the future for its rich taste and excellent presentation. My main course was the Tuna Melt. While not anything special I was just right for only a medium appetite. My guest ordered the Ribeye Mushroom and loved. He said he wants to come back and order it again for its preparation, seasoning and great taste. One of my favorite places to go in the South Bay! They have outdoor seating on Catalina Avenue, where you can dog and people watch. Also dog-friendly on the patio. Big menu with lots of vegetarian options. Their flatbreads are good. My favorite order is their Raspberry and Gorgonzola salad! read more

Didn't get to try it, so one star for saying they're dog friendly but for having a outdoor patio that only accommodates two people (plus dog). Our party of three (plus small dog) was turned away even though we had a "take our money" look on our faces as it was a birthday celebration. Told that two people on the patio is the limit if accompanied by dog. So we had lunch at the new Martha's next door instead. Bummer, was looking forward to RBB's beer selection. A very busy local spot recommended by friends, who I ate with today. We were a party of seven with two kids. We all sat at a booth, it was a little tight but we all fit with a seat on the outside. I don' have kids so it was a while when the adults got their food. Because apparently the kids have to eat first (smiling). The food was good we started with nachos and fried/crispy brussels sprouts and then mostly sandwiches, and a protein salad with grilled beef that the mom had. All of the food was good, the service was good and the vibe was too. Its a sports bar mostly and a lot of local people come to watch and eat. Enjoy. read more

I did not have a good experience here. We ordered a salad and hamburger. It took over a half hour for our food to come. The staff was apologetic. The salad tasted great. The hamburger was overcooked, small, and dry. It was not reasonably priced at all. The only saving grace was a waitress sweetly greeting my son. I have been going to this restaurant for many years back to when it first opened. They have always had a great food selection with decent prices. In the beginning, they brewed their own beer. Now they have a long list of taps from outside breweries. The list is a good one that is sure to satisfy beer snobs. The happy hour has some great specials. We loved RB Brewing! Great energy, great food, and a local beer list where you can order all your local favorites in one place. So many excellent options from nearby breweries. The nachos were the family favorite. An edible mountain--fully loaded and dangerously addictive. The Cajun chicken pasta brought the heat and the flavor. The risotto was rich, and comforting. Everything came out hot, fresh, and way more generous than expected. Major shoutout to Becca, our server--quick, friendly, and somehow everywhere at once. She kept our drinks full, the table laughing, and brought things out before we even knew we needed them. Came on a Sunday evening. Pretty chill! Not that busy here. Outside seating looked nice! We sat inside though since there was kind of a chill. We all got beers while two friends ordered pizza with salmon on it and some other salmon dish. They both loved their food! Our waitress was nice! Very easy going and patient. Came here Saturday evening for drinks with some friends. The tap menu was great and the prices reasonable but the wine was a bit expensive. The cheapest glass was $14 which was a bit high. There is outside dining for people that are still not comfortable eating inside, the first floor inside is a sports bar atmosphere with a plenty of TVs, and the second floor is a more quiet place to eat with a nice balcony which is still semi-open but is amazing for sunsets. The service here from the whole staff was incredible; friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable on their food and beer. The food is delicious. We had the sliders, fried calamari, and buffalo wings. All were made nicely. No complaints on food. There is a wide range of beer on tap. Something for everyone and if you don't like it, they will let you change for another one. read more

It took a while. Service was friendly but slow. Like a lot of places, they seem short-staffed. Regardless, it was a chilly evening and I was clearly shivering. Our server offered a sterilized blanket which was much appreciated. When our well presented food arrived, the sliders looked great with the onion strings and delicious sweet potato fries. The mini-buns were on the dry side. The kid loved the Steak sandwich. The Chicken Pasta was garnished with tortilla strips and topped with buttery toast, not too creamy and just spicy enough. I love the trying the items from the "Special Menu". The chef may keep these "Special Items" on the menu for 3-4 weeks....as a way to try out new recipes that MAY end up on the restaurant menu. Tonight...the rainy weather kept many customers away from RBBC, but, not me. With this weather, there is nothing better than a warm soup or stew. This stew had the most interesting flavor...and I was 'hooked' from the first bite. I will definitely order this again. He never came back to check if we wanted to order more food until he saw the app on the table. The appetizer took 20 minutes to come out. The person that brought our food was equally friendly. The food was really tasty and each us enjoyed our selection. Our only issue, which was minor, was that we picked a booth that had no salt (do restaurants leave salt on the table any more?) and so one of us had to track some down. A very enjoyable lunch. The staff was so friendly. It was great. Last week I had guests from out of town and we popped in for a snack. Again, kind and friendly staff and the fries we shared were 10/10 on a gorgeous summer day. Our 9yr old guest from Houston was particularly thrilled to have fries outside in relatively cool weather.
