Look, I stumbled into Five Points Brewing not really knowing what to expect... and walked out genuinely impressed. Ordered a stout and it was exactly what a stout should be. Dark, rich, not overdone. These brewmaster know what they are doing behind the bar... that is for sure. The real surprise though? They've got this back area that is just kind of charming. I was looking for a brewery to visit when I went to Sofi Stadium and found this place on yelp. I had three or four beers, and they were all excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about all the beers there. We tried some of the pizza that they had. My only complaint is that they are frozen and one of them wasn't in long enough. Other than that, they were tasty and affordable. The ambience is your standard industrial warehouse beer venue. It's not going to knock your socks off, but it does the job. There was a guy selling espresso drinks out of a little fiat car outside which I thought was kind of cool for people that don't drink. I don't know why those people would be at a brewery, but hey, I'm sure they were glad he was there also. I would definitely go back if I was in the area again. read more

LOVE the pizza at Five Point Five Brewing!! I've tried the GTX Muscle Car (sausage, pepperoni & onion) & the Jeepney (Filipino sausage, peppers & onion). Who knew that this brewery, tucked away in the Smoky Hollow neighborhood of El Segundo, would serve a very good Detroit-ish pizza? I actually crave it. The crust is thick yet light; crusty at the edges. The inside is spacious with a back patio area. Not really much of a beer-drinker these days, but the El Segundo locals who frequent this place really seem to enjoy it. It's family & pet-friendly, too. Ample, free street-parking. Lest you think that this is a place that is locals-centric, I don't live in El Segundo & I've enjoyed exceptionally-friendly service from my very first visit on. I recently came here to attend Filipino Mahjong Night, but this neighborhood brewery hosts other events like Paint & Sip, Monthly Beerio Kart, Backgammon on Tap, Tabletop Game Night, etc. The brewery focuses on hockey games as I can see the brewery hanging various local hockey league banners. They have an outdoor patio area, but everyone just sat inside of the brewery. They have board games here. [Parking]: Easy and free street parking. [Menu]: For food, they offer Los Angeles Style pizzas. The Yelp top highlighted item is The Jeepney (Filipino style pizza). For pizza, customers can order half or full pizza. They also have snacks like pretzels, tater tots, dino nuggets, and Tokyo tots. *** The Jeepney (smoked Filipino sausage, onions & sweet peppers, ube yams - $12 for half): The pizza felt like a Detroit-style pizza and half pizza = two square slices of pizza. I remember coming here a few years ago when it was under a different name. The place is festive and has a great array of beers. I really enjoyed the Sweet Melissa Belgian double IPA. It was full of complex flavors. They also have a very delicious menus of deep dish pizzas. I loved the crispy, cheesy pepperoni and arugula version. Stopped by for Oktoberfest. Appreciated that the menu has multiple IPAs and dark beers. We enjoyed these: Citrus Aftermath hazy IPA German chocolate stout Ran into an old co-worker! More than a brewery, this place has a lovely outdoor space in the back, plenty of seating, TVs for them televised sports, and board games galore. Plenty of community events to bring the neighborhood together - must love that. All the bartenders have been fantastic, always offering suggestions on what to order based on taste preference. Couldn't have been more pleased to wake up on Sunday looking for a Brewery near my hotel and finding this gem 5 minutes away. I was the first one at the door at Noon and wish I could recall the gal's name who was serving but she was absolutely delightful. I was even more delighted that it is Filipino owned and had to text my Wife who is Filipino and was hanging out at the hotel with her Mom and Sister who were going back to the PI that day. I made sure to sample the Ube and the Calamansi Seltzer along with their other beers. They were out of the Jeepney Pizza so unable to enjoy it and wasn't planning on eating but will do next time. Decent pizza at this brewery. The beer was ok. Lots of variety with ipas, wit, stouts, kolsch and whatnot. The space is very bright and inviting a mixture of benches, couches, and small coffee table like seat and tables. There is an outdoor patio section which is nice when it's not raining. The staff was nice and good with explaining their beers. The pizza was great. I tried the jeepnep and it was slightly greasy but the bread and toppings were good. The tater tots were a little bit soggy or undercooked. Maybe it was fried too fast without enough time to crisp. 2 words: Ube Seltzer. Probably one of my top favorite seltzers I've ever had. I love how prominent the ube flavor is; I'd love to see them do a Pandan flavor someday. I never knew this brewery existed until a co-worker told me about it. It's near Downtown El Segundo in an unassuming area that would have such a place. I went after work on a weekday, and it was a bit quiet. It was almost like we had the place to ourselves. Food and drinks are good. read more

Really enjoyed this brewery! It's in a kind of industrial area with not much else around it but had plenty of street parking. We came on a Saturday night and it was crowded but there were still a few tables available as well as bar seats. There's also a patio for when it's nice out. Overall the beer was good and the bartenders were super friendly. There was also some live music and board games available. Funnily enough I was trying to find a place to study and work for the day near El Segundo or Redondo Beach and I saw recommendations for breweries online instead of coffee shops?? I was so surprised bc I never thought of that before. We got here maybe a little after noon and the weather was beautiful, the place was pretty empty, which was perfect for us. There's a nice outdoor area and lots of different cozy spots in the interior as well as the more bar-like feeling areas. There was one bartender working when we were there and she was very sweet and attentive. We ended up ordering the pizza and the tots and...tell me WHY the pizza was so good. Was not expecting that at all. Tots hit the spot too. I had a beer also. They do have some seltzers as other options besides beer and while canned, the options were very refreshing and nice. I left later and people started filing in some more for the bar because it was getting to be evening. They have events and things advertised that seem fun and I'd love to go back sometime. A great place for a chill time with friends, family, and doggos. There's a good array of beer options, and now there's hard seltzers, too (highly recommend the mango)! The staff is super friendly - I feel super welcome with each visit. I also appreciate that they have food available on-site. I usually get the Jeepney pizza, but I got to try two of the other pizzas this time: the GTX and Supercharged lil Red Corvette. Both were super yummy! No frills brewery in the industrial area of el segundo. Pizza is delicious but expensive. My son loved the Dino nuggets and they had tater tots and pretzel bites for sharing. 5 Stars for Five Points! Comfy place that seems popular with the locals (we were not -- but were made to feel quite welcome). Dog friendly (inside and out) which is a plus. Enjoyed the German Chocalate Cake dark and the Amber Nitro (similar to Guinness). Wish they had a sour but maybe in the future? Some couches, TV's, and lots of board games in the large indoor space. Small side patio and down a few stairs a larger one that wasn't in use that day (maybe it's open when they get more crowded?) They have warm pretzels for 5 bucks and Detroit Style pizza.
