    Hazy IPA

Went on a Saturday and the environment was great. No lines for ordering and the location is perfect to walk the beach or pier. My only wish is they had more hazy IPA's but I would still come back.

This is a great brewery to stop by if you're in the neighborhood. We've been many times and we will be back. Staff is friendly and it's quick to get your drinks. It's a cool tasting room, with one of the walls pretty much entirely opening up to the sidewalk, so it feels very open and relaxed. Pretty much all of their beers are pretty good. Last time our group got the POG Hazy IPA, a sour gose, and a brown ale. They were all really good.

Popped in after walking by and seeing that it was a lively crowd. You order at the counter and seat yourself. There's tons of art work along the walls. I'm not sure if they host any event but seemed like it does with the art. This visit, the screen was down so the menu wasn't available to view. They had it in the laptop at the counter which did make the line a little long. A large selection of beer on tap and loads to choose from. It has a cool beachy open air vibe with the bar top along the front looking out to the sidewalk. Perfect for people watching. It's pet friendly so the pooch babies can join.

Exec summary: Pull up a stool, have a pint and people watch Located on the "upper" part of the cool pier area, still lots of good people watching to be done. The beer is NOT brewed on site. Sounds like it's outsourced and brought in. The vibe is very chill - reggae playing The area has cool cars, tourists and locals. Good place to stop for a beer as you wander the area

Love Culture Brewing Co. is such a vibe. Cozy space, relaxed atmosphere, and just the right spot to wind down after a long week. The energy is good, the people are friendly, and the drinks hit the spot. Whether you're flying solo or catching up with friends, it's an easy place to feel at home. Cheers to that!

Of all the breweries along the Strand, this has been by far the best. Good food too. The West Coast and Black IPA's are fantastic.

I was happy to find a Manhattan Beach brewery. This location has been open for 3 years. In addition to tasty beers, they allow local artists to show their pieces on the walls. No flights available but the my do sell 3 oz pours so you can try a few beers for a few bucks. I had the Cherry sour, pleasantly tart, the Mosaic West Coast IPA, good hops and a smooth finish. I also had the Kveik. This is a style that can be difficult to find. Kveik yeast produces some great flavors. A little funky and a little earthy. Great mouthfeel. You can order pizza from down the street and it's delivered right to your table. I will definitely be back for more.

Great beer! Their Coastal Hazy IPA is spot on. Really nice staff. Fun vibe. Excellent spot to enjoy a pint and watch the world walk by. Cheers!

    Mosaic IPA. Very drinkable.

Culture Brewing is one of my favorite spots in Manhattan Beach. The space is bright, airy and open which is nice. Great selection of good beers (cans available to go, too.) Perfect spot for a time-out beer break, meet up spot with a friend or a casual spot for a group. Easy 5 star establishment, 5 stars.

I am not much of a beer drinker. It does not fit my style. Plus, Emily Gilmore implied that it was…read morenitwit juice and Buffy devolved to a Cave person after drinking enchanted beer so these quasi-after-school specials taught me that heathens and their kin drink beer. Of course, I kid, beer can be a wonderful thing, I just rather do cocktails and shots. So I went to Sugar Monkey Brewing because of a different pull: a power point slide show where friends pitch their single friends to strangers for a chance at love or romp. So I went in not knowing much of Sugar Monkey Brewing and I left with clear understanding that this place is an industrial beer oasis near the beach. The contrast of sand and blue on the horizon and the present aluminum lining made me feel like I was seeing a new uncommon mixture that proved that clashing environments can gel to delight. I found parking easily. It was a Saturday early evening, and about a 5 minute walk was where I discovered my spot. I honestly hated that I had to walk those 5 minutes but the walk uplifted my spirits for the weather was California crisp and the air and sky and atmosphere felt safe and proper. I wondered if i had the right place? The streets looked like too industrial. Like I had gone to one of those places that had a lot of factories in rows, but not much else. But I turned a corner and there was Sugar Monkey. Then I realized that a brewery would probably look like a beer factory so this place, with all its steel and pumps, had found its home amongst beach skies. As I walked back to my car, later that evening, I was in slight awe at the pale light blue and orange sky. It was serene, and vast and somehow beach appropriate. The water tower iin a picture I took was a nice touch as it reminded me of the Animaniacs, especially Wakko and Dot. I arrived after the first presentation was on its way. I started to listen intently to understand the dynamics because this all seemed so weird yet plausible. Like a dating auction turned fun not hokey or corny? The person was hyping up her friend J. Apparently, he spoke many languages, and hiked and did all these other stuff that were meant to induce attractions. Then she asked, What can he do? And she then explained how she was going to make a joke and that no one needed to fear going to hell if they laughed. And she then reveal that the thing he can't do is SEE because he was blind. The joke was in good taste. The joke, at least to me, carried disability pride. She had revealed that he was different because his sight was different to a crowd of would be judges and suitors. The strength of the duo was refreshing, dare I say, more than the beach breeze. Being witness to this moment made me feel like I had seen a beautiful moment and one I never imagine I would see. And for this reason alone, my trip to Sugar Monkey was more than fun, it was heart-opening. The place itself is cool. Their outside was a huge garden like setting. The place had pool, however, the patio is crowded so I am not sure how people can play if too many people are there. Another thing I saw- that is a credit to this place- is that it had a wheelchair elevator. So if someone was chilling in the patio and wanted to chill in their wooded floor area- where the bar was they could use the wheelchair lift, if they could not use their legs. The place had also had kind of like an off-beat personality. It had a British phone, an astronaut that seemed to have hit a space that painted him with grafitti flare, and beers with names like green means go. I think I would go to this place again, for the beer and the air and to Karaoke. I loved this place and the activity it hosted!

Unfortunately, the service completely ruined what should have been a fun afternoon. The brewery was practically empty, we were the only group there so there was no reason for the attitude we received. One of the servers, a woman with bright orange/blonde bleached hair, was incredibly rude from the moment we arrived. Every interaction seemed to annoy her. She rolled her eyes when anyone in our group asked for anything, acted inconvenienced by the simplest requests such as ordering another beer, and made everyone at our table feel uncomfortable. The worst part was that her behavior upset my 7-year-old son so much that he ended up crying. No child should leave a birthday celebration feeling intimidated by a server. To top it off, as we were finishing up, she started loudly slamming chairs around, making it painfully obvious that she wanted us to leave, even though there was no one else in the brewery. We came to support a local business and celebrate a special occasion, but instead left feeling unwelcome. Based on this experience, we won't be returning.

What better place to have a book club meeting than at a brewery?! Haha…read more My girls and I absolutely loved common place; such a vibe with such good music and energy! There's plenty of seating and I can imagine during this time (World Cup season) this place gets so packed and fun in the best way. The service was great. We had a lot of questions about the drinks. We were recommended a flight if we were unsure which you can customize; I definitely recommend this if it's your first time so you can try a little bit of everything. They had a vendor selling tacos, burritos and other Mexican style items which were absolutely delicious and with the drinks it was a perfect combo! I'm not sure if they change that side vendor or if they are a semi permanent partner with them, but I love that they offer small businesses an opportunity to sell their foods. I was told that they used to be located in a different area or accessing brewery was through another area so pay attention to signs, especially for their nearby parking. Although we had no issues finding this space! To end our fabulous book club meeting, we of course, had to take our festivities to the Photo Booth. This was one of the best pizza-related choices I've made in Southern California. Parking is a little tough...I ended up parking a few blocks away on a main street, which was fine, but didn't notice there was a public parking structure available closer behind a building across the street. The place was crowded and lively on the early Saturday evening I was there. That's a great sign...I was just getting a slice to go, but overheard the host telling people it would only be 10-15 minutes for a table. I had a classic cheese slice. (My litmus test for NY pizza at a new location.) It was FANTASTIC. Easily among the very best crusts I've had on the west coast...super thin and crispy...exactly as it should be. The balance of sauce and cheese was also perfect. Too many pie shops seem to treat sauce as an afterthought...too thin a layer, almost not tastable. But not here...it was perfect...the right amount of everything. There are other really delectable looking pizza options, even for vegetarians like me, including a fascinating "Cacio E Pepe" and a Margherita. (I also saw one which looked all sauce like a tomato pie, which looked really good. (Plus other options like Fried Brussels Sprouts or Fried Cauliflower...cheese bread, and salads. But my experience with this one slice is that it would be worth the drive from anywhere in SoCal to eat here...If you love NYC-style thin slices...like real legitimate ones...charge up the car and get yourself there.
