I had never walked into this establishment prior to last night because I do not drink alcohol and I thought there would be no reason. I stand corrected. Their menu is quite extensive with all sorts of comfort food all of whom beckoned you to order them. I ordered the fig and apple panini with a side of roasted veggies......perfect. We ordered a side of fries......perfect. My friend ordered the black garlic honey habanero chicken sandwich with green salad.....perfect. Really ample portions as well. Service was really stellar and totally in tune with the setting. Zane and Katie handled all of the diners with ease and a very pleasant helpfulness and kind spirit. Kudos to them. The ambience is definitely upbeat with your choice of sports on multiple big screens and so is a bit boisterous but not rowdy and there are retreats within the establishment which are a bit separate from the sports energy in the main dining area.. First time visiting brewport and was excited to try their large selection of self serve beers. First impression by the young lady at the front was terrible. She asked " first time here" I said "yes", second question "how many in your party" I said "8, but im still waiting for my party to all walk in". Well we stood there like idiots with the rest of my party and then I was confused as she ignored us. I then asked "do we seat ourselves!" Well I got a "yeah" umm well it be nice if she could communicate this. Well I asked for menus and didn't get a very welcoming vibe. The gentleman that assisted us with our orders was kind and polite. Food was ok, not a huge fan. Beer selection was ok. We chose to do the wrist band where they charge for how much you pour but when we poured it was a lot of foam and we had to re pour which we get charged for that too. So wasn't a fan of that. They have an extensive collection of beers, wines and hard seltzers. So that was impressive and the pour your own drinks were fun. We ordered a kids chicken quesadilla and burgers. Both salty and burger was a bit disappointing but the fries were pretty good. Light, crispy and didn't taste greasy. Service was great though. My sister and I decided to dine at Brewport on our way to LAX before our flight. The abundance of self tap beers and wine along with a nice food menu interested us. The waitress did not provide the best experience. She was very curt and very standoffish, especially when we saw her interacting with others compared to us. Mind you, there was a couple, two guys and then us. So she was not "busy" as it was 1pm. Not one time did she inquire if we needed anything or how was our food. It seem like a cool place to grab some beverages and nibbles but hopefully next time better hospitality. I will say the salmon dip and habanero chicken sandwich was delicious. Definitely an ideal spot to hang with friends! Entering, you're automatically greeted and informed of the wristband-use (pretty cool!). In my case, i was informed that there are other options besides beer! They have a full bar at this spot. If you like having options, this is the ideal spot to try out. I had the pineapple cucumber ghost margarita which was yummy. It did have a bit of spice, as inferred in the name. Most of the seating is geared for groups of 4 but you are able to move stools around, like we did, for our group of 6. And there are a couple of long tables. My friends were bummed with how many taps became empty all at once, pretty early, around 8pm. Going to where the outdoor back patio is, you'll find two restroom stalls. They are both gender neutral. This place was so interesting when I first came in. You pour however much beer or wine you want & they will charge you for just that! Which is really convenient, if you want to try something. My boyfriend and I decided to get the flight glasses & tried all the beers & wines they had haha, it was a really fun experience. The many beer selections were OK, as I am not a huge IPA fan and the remaining options were not great. There was a Mexican lager, a Pilsner, and a Hefeweizen... None of them completely amazing. A bright spot was they did have a couple of Paso Robles wines available, including Opolo cab and Chamisal Chardonnay from SLO. Service was good and they refilled waters etc quickly. I got the grilled fish tacos and side salad and they were both good- tad spicey with the green salsa/sauce in a good way. I came here on a Friday night around 6:45 with a group of about 6-7 people - this place is PERFECT for a group! This brewery was so cool since it was a "pour your own" system where you just tap with a bracelet to keep track of how much you're drinking. Since I wasn't drinking, I HAD to partake in their dinner - their menu was surprisingly large for a brewery, I was pleasantly surprised! I got the Black Garlic Honey Habanero chicken sandwich at our waiter's suggestion and I'm glad I trusted them - it was GREAT! I love the coleslaw toppings, the tater tots had that extra crispiness that I love for my fried potatoes and the portion size was perfect. It wasn't that spicy, which I was perfectly fine with because all the other flavors were sooo good. My only note would be I wish the chicken was a little thicker but that's the big back in me talking For 3 meals, I spent ~$58 including tip. Right off of the Main Street that's got a bunch happening, it's got indoor and outdoor seating options and several rooms each offering a different ambience so you can find what works best for you. I waited about an hour to get the cubano with fries I ordered, after another person at my table had received and fully finished their sandwich. No apologies when my sandwich arrived 60 minutes after ordering, just an awkward shrug from the frat boy waiting on us. The staff is weirdly distributed-- on a Sunday with only 1/4 of the tables full, there were about 7 servers and seemingly not enough kitchen staff to make a cuban sandwich in less than an hour. I will always love the beer selection here, but I wouldn't recommend eating a meal here. The staff is more interested in chatting with each other and eating their own french fries than checking on tables. Completely unprofessional behavior. I felt like I was in a college bar. read more

I guess your review and experience will depend on when you go and what you order. My wife and I have been here a few times over the years and have had some 4-star visits and some lesser ones. Our last visit was one of the lesser. We went in on a weekend, when we discovered they have an added BBQ menu. Now, I lived in Oklahoma for almost 10 years so I've had some very good BBQ over the years (yeah, I know, it's not Kansas City, or Memphis, or parts of Texas but they do make some great BBQ there as well) so I was excited. Decided on the tri-tip as it is easy to eat and usually very flavorful. The weekend lunch special comes with two sides which is a plus. I ordered the beans and mac & cheese. They had a private party going on in one of their private rooms so the kitchen was busy. I'm using this as the reason it took so long to get our order (I really don't know why it took so long). But, unfortunately, when it arrived, the tri-tip was literally cold. The beans and mac & cheese were warm but the meat was cold. The waitress quickly picked up the plate to fix the issue. When she returned, the tri-tip had been tossed on the grille, browning the edges. Definitely warmer but...now the sides were cold. Not wanting to send a plate back for a second time, I just ate what was in front of me. The flavor of the beans and the meat was good, the mac & cheese needed a little more, well, cheese flavor. My wife had the street tacos and they are more of a snack than a meal. We'll most likely be back but will try something different. We like to patronize local establishments and this one is within walking distance. Hopefully everything will be warmer and delivered quickly next time. A group of my friends came together to celebrate one of our close friend's birthday. She booked out the private patio in the back of the brewery which allowed for a more intimate setting for our trivia night to celebrate her birthday. The beer was very tasty and we loved how easy it was to tap and pour. Our server was also very accommodating and dropped by our room often to check in on us. Came here on Halloween for trivia night and was a fun experience. I'm obsessed with unique bars and have been wanting to try brewport for the longest time. My favorite part was the self serve taps where you scanned your bracelet and could pour up as much or as little as you want. As someone who loves trying everything on the menu, this place was heaven. They had beer, cider, hard kombucha, hard lemonade, hard seltzers and wine. I love the idea of being able to try as much as I want and not have to pour up a whole glass. They had a decent amount of options. The workers were all so kind and helpful. The only thing that we didn't love was the fact that trivia night took over 3 hours. Being only one person wins, if I remember correctly, it took way too long to get to the end. I assume they do this in hopes to make it last as long as possible but it takes away from the fun of trivia. It was so slow paced and took way too much time between each question. Would've liked more games split up with a faster pace and not having all the trivia questions about facts prior to 1990. Also the wines my friend got a flight of were really disappointing. Enough so she didn't drink what she paid for. The beers, lemonades and ciders were all great but wines were super disappointing. One of the servers was pretty rude to let us know that there was a last call on food it was our first time coming here so we had questions as to how everything worked. Upon leaving, we asked if we just leave (our card was on file) cashier rudely asked where our wristbands were and if we walked out it would be considered stealing (hence why we asked) when she asked our friends for their wristbands we let her know there was only 2 and she rudely responds "okay sign here and you're done" with attitude. We were having a great time, not rude to anyone said please and thank you when someone came to our table to attend. We had such a wonderful experience this past weekend that we decided to come back with friends. I don't know what was happening, but our service was AWFUL! Our waitress, with long red hair, rolled her eyes at us several times, and openly said "I f-ing hate these tables". She came by to check in on us and then, when we'd ask for silverware or water she walked away from us every time. I don't know if she was having a bad day, I'll give her that, but she was not nice and we were not a complicated group. We actually had to flag down another server just to order food, and Michaela- the server that came to our rescue was wonderful! I have to be honest, I really liked this place but the red haired server with a braid really ruined our entire experience.
