The FLOC'ing Great Hazy IPA from Absolution Brewing!
    Alden C.

Absolution Brewing was an unexpected find but a pleasant find nonetheless! It wasn't on my "to try" list but was more of a spontaneous experience. Steve and I weren't disappointed in what we had either! What we drank was the FLOC'ing Great IPA. This was kind of a fun one as we appreciated the retro nod as far as the art and decor goes on the can and what have you. Flavor highlights with this beer are fruity, citrusy and dank. The beer is light bodied and has a bright color to it. Fun and enjoyable which made this beer experience a pleasant surprise!

Found Absolution Brewing and I'm so glad I did! They have an impressive beer selection. There's something here for everyone. I ordered the Boysenberry Sour and Cardinal Sin, both very good craft beers, the skill behind the brewing process is very evident here. I also enjoyed a watermelon seltzer, 13%, infused with habanero and jalapeño and damn it was so good! The customer service was amazing! Randy was welcoming and knowledgeable. He was able to guide me through the beer & seltzers and offer recommendations. This brewery has plenty of parking, ongoing events, rotating food trucks and great beer. Absolution Brewing is a must visit brewery!

Great place to hang out with friends! Tucked away in an industrial area in Torrance with plenty of parking. Bartender provided great service and was nice! A food truck comes on certain days during the week which is a great pair while drinking a cold glass of beer. We ordered the Purgatory and Goyave and both were refreshing!

Friendly vibes! Menu photo from 10.27.24. My bf & I got beer passports (fun activity to do) and this was our first stop. Wonder if they have events. Was decorated for Halloween. We will be back. I got the Purgatory Hefeweizen.

I went for a soccer watch party here and had an awesome time. The drinks were cheap, strong, and tasty. They had a pizza catering service with some really good pizza. The vibe was fun, and the staff was super friendly. I'll definitely be back for more games.

Another great brewery in South Bay. They have a large outdoor seating area with plenty of barrels and tables. There was also a food truck. Might wanna check their IG or call ahead to see what truck is set up for the day. They're also doing indoor seating and have a few TV's and a projector on the wall. Good spot to catch a game. If you're sitting inside, try to grab a high table or a barrel, the chairs for low tables aren't that comfortable. This is a good spot for small groups or a date. Their beer list is a really good mix. I got the Juuci Tart Pineapple Orange Vanilla (5.2%) it's a good tasting sour. Also got their Cardinal Sin (5.7%) that was a great red ale you can drink all day. Service was good. Friendly staff in masks. There's plenty of parking in the business center. Definitely add Absolution to your brewery list.

Their drinks were good and strong to the point where I blacked out when I got home hahaha. Drink and be weary lol it hit me out of nowhere and I'm a heavyweight. Takes a bit for me to get drunk but nope their beer was that good haha. They had magicians there that day and made the experience even better

2nd visit, lots to like again. Fan of the michelada here and tried a couple tastings of winter flavors on menu. Staff a little busier so less time to chat but we felt attended to when needed. Crowd was diverse and chill.

First time at absolution brewery and we absolutely enjoyed our visit. They have good amount of seating on hand, including large bar counter with flat screen TV tuned to the latest sporting event. Plus they have game room in the back. Staff here are friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers on hand, including some delicious hazy and black IPA. We had absolution the sabbath black ipa and caipirinha double hazy ipa. Both were fabulous! The black IPA was surprisingly smooth and uniquely colored. Nice subtle scent of roast and pine. The hazy IPA has nice citrus forward hops and subtle flavor of dark rum oak. Very nice balance and not too hoppy. All in all, great place to chill with friends and family, enjoy cold one. I can't wait to come back and try other beers on the menu.

Yes, there's benches and a small faux grass area. But these benches, let me tell you, are T.R.A.S.H.! As much foot traffic comes through here, it's down right disappointing and shows how cheap a business can be. Like I said, the beers good, but when you sit on benches that I wouldn't donate to a public school, that a big oh hell no. It's been like this for at least the last 3-4 years. The staff is top notch very welcoming and reasonably fast at pouring. Kudos to them.

My family and I have come to this brewery many times to celebrate birthdays and special occasions…read more Unfortunately, over the past couple visits, I've noticed the customer service has steadily declined. It feels like the staff is more concerned with getting out exactly at closing time than making guests feel welcomed and valued. Our last visit on 06/25/2026 was, by far, the worst experience we've ever had here. We were celebrating my stepdaughter's birthday with a large group. As closing time approached, one of our family members still had a nearly full beer. Without any warning or politely letting us know it was time to finish up, a tall white male employee (who refused to provide his name when asked) simply walked up and took the beer off the table. What made it even more frustrating was that there were other tables around us with guests who also had drinks, yet our party was the only one singled out. To make matters worse, we had brought a birthday cake to celebrate. We politely asked another short female employee for a few plastic plates and utensils so we could cut the cake before leaving. We were told no because they were closing. This has never been an issue during our previous birthday celebrations here. These were disposable plastic plates and utensils that would have gone straight into the trash, so refusing such a simple request came across as pure unwillingness to provide basic customer service. I spent 10 years working in the food and hospitality industry before starting my current career, so I understand exactly what closing a restaurant or brewery entails. I know employees want to leave on time, but I also know that providing good customer service until the last guest leaves is part of the job. If customers need to wrap things up, there is a respectful way to communicate that. You don't take someone's drink without warning, and you don't refuse a simple request that would have taken less than a minute. Everyone in our party left upset and disappointed. It was honestly embarrassing to watch employees treat loyal customers this way. This brewery used to be our go-to place for birthdays, but after this experience, we will not be returning. I rarely write negative reviews because I understand everyone has bad days. However, this experience was unacceptable. I sincerely hope management addresses the lack of hospitality and provides better customer service training, because the employees working that evening did not represent the level of service that keeps loyal customers coming back. Both the female worker with tattoos and piercings and the tall male were extremely rude when confronted. If you choose to visit, just be aware that if you're there close to closing time, your experience may depend more on how quickly the staff wants to leave than on making you feel like a valued guest.

Apparently, everyone else in the South Bay had the same idea because the place was absolutely humming. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, just be patient. Fortunately, we had reservations and were quickly seated in a roomy table tucked away in the back corner. It turned out to be prime real estate: enough privacy for conversation, but still a great vantage point to take in the entire restaurant. The patio out front might be even better, though, if you're into people-watching. Catalina Avenue on a Friday night offers no shortage of entertainment. But for our group, this table was perfect. The interior has a warm, industrial feel, exposed brick, dark wood, metal accents, garage-style doors, and televisions scattered throughout. Oddly, the Dodgers game wasn't on. Maybe they don't get SportsNet LA. I never bothered to ask because the conversation at our table was far more enjoyable. Let's address the elephant in the room: Friday-night service. The place was packed, and our server was clearly running a marathon. He's usually stationed behind the bar, sports a sleeve of tattoos, looks super fit, and carries a permanent smile. He worked hard all evening, but there were some significant stretches where my Ikasu Ikasu West Coast IPA ($11) sat empty with no rescue in sight. A man can only stare sadly at an empty pint glass for so long. We started with the poutine fries, crispy fries loaded with gravy, skirt steak, mornay sauce, Gruyère, and green onions. They were outstanding and disappeared so quickly that I remembered to take a photo only after the massacre had already occurred, see my picture, LOL. Our server redeemed himself with his entrée recommendation: The Philly. Thinly sliced ribeye, grilled onions, sweet and hot peppers, house sauce, all piled into a sesame roll. It was fantastic, messy, savory, and exactly what you want from a cheesesteak. My wife paired a Harmonia Mango Wheat ($11) with the Blue Cheese Avocado Burger ($20), a hefty seven-ounce burger topped with melted blue cheese, grilled onions, avocado, applewood bacon, and arugula. She was a happy camper. Our friends split the same burger and also ordered the hummus appetizer, adding filet mignon on top. Excellent call, I snuck a few bites! To their credit, at the end of the evening our server came back to the table, apologized for the pacing, and made amends with a complimentary Crafted Cookie: a warm chocolate-chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. At the end of the day, restaurants are about more than perfect timing and topped-off beers. They're about sharing stories, laughing with friends, and breaking bread with people you enjoy being around. The service had its ups and downs, but the food was solid, the atmosphere lively, and Riviera Village on a summer Friday night is hard to beat.
