    Ahi Tuna Tartar

Went here for dinner with my friend. We had the BOGO dinner coupon and received a delicious meal. It was not too crowded we were seated right away and the staff is so friendly and kind! Lots of delicious menu items to choose from, don't skip the tuna tartar!

Hidden gem at the base of the hill Got a Bogo coupon and thought we'd try it. The staff are super helpful in redeeming this Facebook coupon as it is impossible for mere mortals to understand why it takes twenty or so clicks to get it activated The staff are great , by the way. Attentive but not Intrusive. Even though I had the coupon for two brunches , they were totally flexible in getting one brunch and letting me upgrade to an entree (for the extra charge) The service is fast The Savannah chicken is AMAZING The pecan gravy is the best I've ever had. The chicken is cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes are as smooth as a babies bum. This is the meal! The interior is cozy , casual and upscale. Perfect for those lazy long lunches Parking tip: there is a small area in front of truxtons, but got under the arch at the base of the "u" (height limit 6 10") and there is plenty of parking only a few feet away Really positive experience. I'll be back

Got the Old Fashioned Meatloaf plus an add on salad. Everything was quite good. The salad was very fresh and topped with carrots, corn, cucumbers, red onions and tomatoes. The meatloaf had a good texture. The mashed potatoes were buttery and creamy. I think I tasted a hint of garlic in the creamed spinach. Service was very friendly.

Was supposed to be sloppy joes sandwich but it's a pulled pork sandwich

This place is usually very good and caring. I placed an order this past Sunday. Two orders matter of fact, one was sloppy Joe's the other garden burger. My family enjoyed the garden burger which comes with a salad. When I started eating my sloppy Joe's, it tasted funny. I thought maybe it was the sauce, but as I got half ay I looked at it and it was a pulled pork sandwich! I sent a msg to this establishment first but no reply so im helping. Didn't want to but just want them to pay close attention to their orders for take out. Please correct this

Menu is quite large with plenty of dishes to pick from. I'd say there's something for every palate here. The two servers yesterday were pleasant, attentive, not overly sweet they were chill. Which I appreciate. I was having lunch alone so I just wanted to relax and they delivered on that note. I ordered the warm spinach salad but I ordered extra fried goat cheese because it only came with one medallion. Other than that the salad was amazing. I'll be back for the fish menu. Oh and the actual restaurant atmosphere is chill and mellow. Casual but classy.

Dinner with a friend with their FB special buy one get one free burger OR brunch offer. Main parking lot was pretty full but not a lot of folks at Misto. Greeted right away as there were plenty of tables to choose from. We were handed menus, drink order taken and a small bucket of bread and an Olive tapenade/olive oil spread. I ordered the California Burger and my friend ordered the Classic Cheeseburger. Both came with a cole slaw and dill pickle slices. I had sweet potato fries. She had classic fries. The menu says sweet potato fries can be substituted but it doesn't say for an additional $3.59 nor did the waiter mention it. The portion of sweet potato fries was less than half of the side of French fries. Although both were delicious, it should have been mentioned in the menu and by the waiter. Burgers were healthy in size and delicious. Cole slaw was from a jar and didn't taste good. Thanks for the BOGO offer but still upset about the unpublished substitution charge. Ok, bye.

Tomato Basil Bisque Soup and calamari salad.

Still a quaint, little hidden gem in the Hillside Village on Hawthorne Boulevard right before you head up the hill. A nice place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I always recommend the tomato bisque. During lunch, you can get a soup and salad combo. the service is quick and professional. I had the tomato bisque and a calamari salad. Both were very good.

HopSaint has this relaxed, completely unpretentious vibe where conversation just lingers in the air and somehow every day feels like a Saturday. It's the kind of place I just want to melt into. (The only competition is the old Koo Koo Roo mac and cheese with those burnt edges... omg. ) How does a brewery do food AND vibes this well? I don't know, but they've nailed it. The bacon, the meats ... everything is juicy, hearty, perfectly cooked. It's what you imagine good, hearty eating should taste like, without those inconsistencies you might find elsewhere or where some dishes are meh, or the patrons or servers somehow make you feel like you don't belong. None of that here. Everyone gets to sit back, have a drink (which you can literally see being brewed through the glass), eat food that makes you happy, with a mood that simultaneously melts worries away. I had seen the Bazille sign above the Nordstrom entrance so many times, but for the longest time I had no idea how to actually get there. For some reason, I also assumed from the name "Bazille" that it was probably some kind of salad or healthy/vegan place , so I never really bothered to figure it out. Well, I finally did about two weeks ago, and OMG -- what a pleasant surprise. You actually enter through Nordstrom and take the stairs or elevator up to the second floor. The restaurant is beautiful, elegant and intimate without feeling overly fancy. But the FOOD! Absolutely delicious. Everything we had was so good. And another pleasant surprise was the price. I eat out all the time and have tried a lot of restaurants around LA, so I have a pretty good idea of what places in this category usually charge. For the quality of the food, the atmosphere, and the overall experience, Bazille is surprisingly affordable. It's not "cheap" food by any means -- it just feels like a really good value compared to similar restaurants. The service was just as impressive. Every single person we interacted with was professional, friendly and welcoming, from the hosts to our server. And clearly the kitchen knows what they're doing because everything that came out was amazing. I can't believe I've walked past this place so many times without trying it. Don't get me wrong, it's good but it's not great. There was something missing that I couldn't out my finger on. Overall tho, it felt like quality food at reasonable prices. B: service: as you'd expect from nordstroms, service was exceptional. Friendly, attentive but not over attentive. I drink a lot of ice tea and my glass was never less than a 1/4 tank. C: ambiance. Ok, full confession, my wife brought me to the mall and nordstroms. For me, It's a bit weird to eat in the ladies active wear section but, looking at the demographics, I TOTALLY see why it's in that section. Picture lots of older ladies (predominantly 50+ white and Korean ladies) meeting up for a glass of Chardonnay and sharing ....HUGE PLATES OF FRENCH FRIES. I didn't know that's a thing. I find it fascinating. If you're in the mall, give it a go. It's quite the experience and position yourself to people watch.
