    Halibut perfectly prepared.

MB Grill is Good! The few times I have been here the service has always been spot on. I like the decor and vibe here. - 4.5 stars. The food is good, and if you're looking for a basic sea food restaurant then MB Grill lives up to that, some stand outs are the Ahi Nachos, and the Ahi entree, as well as some of their other fish entrees such as the halibut and salmon. Their sourdough bread is also pretty fantastic! I don't recommend any of the shrimp dishes and their steaks are so so. The butter cake served here for a desert is also very good. Food - 3.5 - 4 stars, good but just good. All in all solid meals at a good price.

Glad I dined here before reading the reviews as we had a wonderful time with only a couple of minor glitches. We arrived with a reservation and were seated immediately in a comfortable booth. We dined on a Monday evening and, at 7 pm the restaurant was largely empty. However it got busier within an hour. Our enthusiastic waiter was very attentive and patient as we perused the large menu.for starters I had the huge Prawn Cocktail (which was very filling) and my guest had the Sweet and Spicy Calamari drizzled in sweet chili glaze topped with cilantro. Both dishes were excellently prepared, looked and tasted great. I had the Snake River Trout that came with two sides. The fish was really nice. I haven't had trout in years and this preparation was utterly perfect. The menu states "Cultivated in Idaho's Snake River, our fresh, flame-grilled trout is free from genetic engineering, antibiotics, & hormones." That was a big plus for me. Our waiter forgot to bring the requested tartar sauce but, actually, the fish probably tasted better without it. As I said we really enjoyed our meal here, enough that I made a reservation to return in a few days with an out-of-town visitor. I read the reviews after dining and was surprised at the several complaints, but our experience was very good and deserving of.five stars.

5 stars for great service Other items 3 stars Just know this place is only good for seafood lol. We came for apps and drinks but there wasn't really any good apps to try. The drinks were great either. But the service was great. Kotono is great. 5 stars for service. 0 stars for drinks. 1 star for apps. Wait time was less than a minute. We did have reservations. I don't think we will be back. Their clam chowder is good. The salad was super delicious. But not great. Restrooms are clean. Lots of parking but hard to find a parking spot. On weekends this place gets super packed. Our server, Kotono, was pregnant. Super great gal. We felt bad giving her our orders. She was very sweet and pleasant. We ordered 1 Boston Cup w/ Ent $8.00 1 Mission Bay Mai Tai $15.00 1 Spring Fling $15.00 1 Wedge Salad $14.00 1 Smokin Old Fashioned $16.00

Never knew we had such a decent seafood restaurant at Del Amo Mall. Credit card option will have fees so be warned and prepare cash or debit cards. Food: Delicious fresh seafood menu. Wide varieties of menu will be perfect even for someone that may like meat over seafood. For appetizers we tried poke nachos and we loved it! The crispy wrap chips went really well with the spicy sweet soy sauce poke. Loved the Parmesan fish and the tomato based mixed seafood pasta. They even have kids menu and the coloring sheets. Kids loved the noodles and fish and chips but did not like the cooked veggies with rosemary. Our kids are small so the fact they enjoyed most of the food is a plus. Complementary sourdough bread was also great. Next time I want to order soup or soupy dish so we can dip that freshly baked fluffy bread. Service: it was a bit confusing as there are a lot of different waiters serving us and they did not necessarily follow through when we asked for a service (extra plates, more drinks) but overall quality was good. Ambiance: spacious and has comfortable booths, bar, and tables. Bathrooms were clean. There is a bit water buildup behind the toilets and it just does not look nice. My kids thought it was blood but it is just water. I love when restaurants have their own bathrooms so we won't have to walk so far. It can get a bit cold as the winds blow into the restaurant.

They have awesome kids' meal options that are both delicious, good sized, and very reasonably priced - perfect for kids. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, making it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. We sat outside on their patio, which was nice. I prefer the outside seating than the inside seating (from previous experience). My daughter had the Premium Fresh Fish meal ($10). We wanted the Icelandic Cod but unfortunately, they said they did not have that portion for the kids' meal that day (which was odd). The kid's meal comes with milk or water, oyster crackers, fries or veggies and a scoop of ice cream. I appreciate it when the kid's meal at restaurants offers veggies instead of only fries. I also appreciate it when restaurants have healthy options instead of just chicken nuggets or a burger. This was a total plus in my book. I got the Poke Nachos ($16) for my lunch, which was fresh and flavorful. I just wished there was more poke. We also got the Crispy Beer-Battered Fish & Chips ($21), which was a good-sized portion and was said to be good. The fish was also cod, which they indicated they had for the fish and chips. They just didn't have the cod for the kid's meal. The service was excellent - our server was super attentive and thoughtful, making sure to take and bring out our daughter's food first (which we really appreciated!). It's those small touches that make dining out with kids such a pleasant experience. Overall, good food, great service, and a family-friendly vibe that makes MB Grille a solid go-to spot.

My family and I decided to have dinner here tonight and discovered the sign on the door. Confirmed the closure on their website. We frequented this location and were here for lunch last month. It seemed busy every time we walked by. Sad to see another business closed down.

Came here for Valentine's Day dinner, they had a decent wait and server took some time to get to us. But the food was really good! They have good options for different seafood and I wanted to try it all. Lobster tail wasn't anything amazing but we did love their sourdough bread and calamari. I ate all the sushi as well, had to ask for soy sauce but it was pretty good.

Sorry folks. It appears they're permanently closed. Took this pic 2/19/26 All the tables, chairs and point of sales systems looked like they were still ready to go... But the sign told a different story....

Came here for lunch with a friend and this space used to be a mexican restaurant I believe, so it was surprising. The staff were friendly and you get complimentary white/sourdough ish tasting bread with a delicious butter. The calamari was bland but the crust was light and crunchy. The mussels and fries were interesting; not much flavor profile on either item but I made it work. It was a chill environment, a pretty day to see out the windows but the lack of flavor in the calamari and mussels sealed the deal on us ordering anything else. Our waitress was very sweet and always checked on us.

Lovely location, delicious food, but taking away 2 stars because I don't like that they left out an ingredient without telling me. I got the Fisherman's Stew, and of course, with its popular photos all over Yelp and the internet, it was pretty easy to notice it was missing King Crab. I came here FOR this dish. They didn't inform me that they didn't have King Crab when I ordered. Then when I pointed it out to my server, she made it seem like there was nothing they could do, and after asking about substitutions, she said they could give me more crab claws (she brought me THREE small claws.) I'm just disappointed because it wasn't comparable to the King Crab that was missing, but honestly, being transparent about it from the beginning would've been more respectable than hoping I don't notice something that obvious. Especially being that omitting something like King Crab without informing the customer is weird ethically, as I assume the price shouldn't be the same. Nonetheless, it was delicious! I also really enjoyed the calamari and the sweet/sour sauce it was in! It was all scrumptious. Overall it was a great dinner and I'd dine here again. The whole king crab mishap just took away from the experience and dampened my mood a bit. The ambiance is very elegant and the place is squeaky clean! I still recommend the place, but maybe if you get that stew, ask if they have everything the menu says it comes with.

Great location at the entrance of the mall. Relax with a dash of coastal vibe! So many options from their Social Hours menu, impressive offerings for not just food but entrees! Hubby got a burger and fries, very generous serving! The pineapple margaritas was refreshing, just wish it was a bigger cup! Sourdough Bread was utterly perfect, nice crust and soft inside, butter was served room temperature. Overall, it's worth a visit, especially during their social hours, even amongst other great restaurants in the vicinity.

The service was amazing and the food good. The decor was quant and welcoming. MB Grille is located at the Del Amo shopping mall in Torrance. The open air concept was a nice touch as well. Solid 4 stars. Drinks were good as well, but nothing amazing that would warrant a monthly visit. The app combo we got was the best part of dinner.

$25 Summer Surf and Turf Special
    Emily V.

This was the summer special and I got it To Go. The "turf" was a very nice medium rare. Very juicy. The "surf" I wish was better shrimp. They were a little smaller than I'm used to for a restaurant. The sauce however was very flavorful and cream. The potatoes were crispy on certain bits and smooth on others and made it a perfect texture blend. Parking is a pain, just be aware you might have better luck parking in one of the other structures and just walking over.

The seafood was fresh and meaty and the garlicky, spicy sauce kicked the flavor up a notch. We also ordered a side of fries to share and the dip it came with was amazing as well. After 30 more minutes most of our order came out with the exception of the garlic bread. I was told that it takes a significant amount of time to make and asked if i wanted something else instead. I felt an hour for two burritos was excessive so declined adding anything else. Moments later my bread appeared. It took a full hour and some change to receive our order which I thought was unreasonable, especially since at this point we were the only patrons. Overall: Food was alright, reasonably priced, and portions were aligned with the price. However, I would recommend ordering ahead or anticipate a long wait time. Look I would've given this place 3 stars, but the customer service and wait time was ridiculous. Hear me out, this is my experience from last Saturday. So first it can be challenging to find this place, since the pier has so many level to it. Look for the elevators. When you get there, for the first time, you see a main line, well for what? Then you see other lines, well for what? Then you see an oyster line, oh. In order to determine what each line is for, you have to do independent research. From whom? Well the employee, who do not show case any form of customer service. There were so many people lost and confused. To break it down, each "Order Here" has their own area of what can be ordered by the pound and/or cooked. So not all lines are equal. There is a crab line, seafood boil/pre-seasoned seafood, oyster, clams, I think I saw fish and fried platters, which was the longest. So after much deliberation, an employee managed to wrangle the customers to form a line. Although his mannerism seems like I'm just done with this place. One might consider ropes to further avoid these mundane confusions... I got Ana's seafood boil mix, $99. It came with a lobster, dungeoness crab, peeled shrimp, clams, sausage and potatoes. The employee told me about 10 mins. I'm like okaaaay, only 10? I walked to their souvenir shop, nothing crazy or must haves. Just cheap Chinese things with their name printed on. I return in 10 minutes. The guy doing prepping/expediting the pick order was in a frantic state. Older white male, white mustache. He was running around, mixing orders up, couldn't even tell what customers had what. The employee that wrangling folks came to help him collect himself. So 10 minutes wait turns to 15, 20, then 30 minutes. I had 2 other employees check up on my order, they said it's not ready. Okay. Finally about 35 minutes it's ready. He didn't even call out my order, I had to wave my ticket. The first rule of speed of service, never over sell the time. If it's gonnabe 30 mins plus, say 40 mins, gimme a bs reason, short handed, etc, I don't care! But why would you tell me it'll be 10 mins?! So finally got the food. Flavor was pretty good. Lobster, was okay. I wished the shrimp had the head on. Clams were big. Sausage was good. Potato seemed like the diced ones from a can, they were so small. The crab, however, is the driest. Yep, for a place that exclaims "Quality Seafood," it was kind've of a let down. They taste like the bottom batch of the crab at Las Vegas buffet. You know the batch that sits on the bottom, they don't ever rotate because the employees don't care. So it's just marinating in its own dry filth. The crab was so dry I could put that in an Advil bottle instead of cotton. So now if you ask me, would I come back? Maybe, just maybe. Anytime soon? Nah, not right now. Also with the mention of a tourist trap, it's no different than Seattle's Pike Place and surroundings.

After reading reviews, I came specifically for the Fish & Chips, and they absolutely delivered. But before I get to that, the service deserves a shout-out. From the hostess who greeted us to our server throughout the meal, everyone was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we had a great experience. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly cooked and disappeared fast. Then came the Fish & Chips. The fish was crispy, golden brown, and cooked perfectly. What really surprised me was the portion size. These weren't little pieces of fish hiding under a pile of fries--they were massive pieces of cod. My wife and I couldn't stop laughing at how much fish they served. To top it all off, we shared the key lime pie, and it was outstanding. Smooth, creamy, and the perfect balance of sweet and tart. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, parking was easy with plenty of paid options nearby, and every part of the experience felt polished without feeling pretentious. Finding a restaurant that nails the food, service, and overall experience isn't always easy, but Salt & Pearl checked every box for us. Safe to say we've already found a reason to come back. Pro tip: If you're ordering the Fish & Chips, come hungry. Those cod portions are no joke.

The service is friendly and the process of ordering is self-intuitive and easy and the time process is quick knowing it is custom cooked to order for every customer that can be 10-15 mins or so and you can be in and out dining in quickly or take a meal "to-go" quicker. The steak is or was, mediocre. This is a seafood restaurant and specialty. If you come here, I'd say don't do the surf and turf (steak) but opt for more seafood. The shrimp grilled in the shell is lackluster because the shrimp often sticks into the shell and dry out, harder to eat and less delicious, in my opinion. All of the fishes that are grilled are great and the best options.

It's one of those "low-key hidden but worth finding" spots. Don't let the location fool you! I went on a Tuesday during the week when it wasn't busy at all -- nice and chill vibes. But babyyy once 6 PM hit? Dinner time activated. The crowd definitely started rolling in and you could feel the energy shift. So just know traffic picks up later in the evening if you're planning a visit. Now let's get into what matters: The staff? Super attentive and kind. I love when servers check on you just enough without hovering. And the food came out HOT. Not warm. Not "it's been sitting." I'm talking steaming, fresh, straight-to-the-table heat -- which is exactly how a crab boil should hit. Portions were generous because I was overly stuffed and still had plenty left over for the next day (which honestly might be the best part). Nothing like reheating a seafood boil and running it back. Thank you for hosting me and my guest -- we had such a good experience. I'll definitely be back for my next crab boil fix lol

We waited for 30 minutes to be seated even though plenty of tables were open, waited another 30 minutes to place an order, waited another 40 minutes until the food came out. At least the decor was "cute" pretty standard for a seafood boil and had TVs. We got 3 pounds of shrimp with the flavor mix and the spiciest level of heat in addition to some Cajun fries. The seafood was so bland and the fries were so dry with little to no seasoning.
