    Fish tacos

Located in The Enclave at the East end next to the tall white building.. this is pretty darn good food with a much quieter atmosphere than the main hall at the enclave. Nice seating area. Shade or sunshine.. indoor or outdoor seating. Tried the fish tacos and they are really good. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. Took 1 star off for no drink station.. but they do have bottled drinks.. so not that big of a deal.

This is a solid good spot, it's similar to all of the other "fresh fish grill" counter service restaurants that have been around the past 15 years or so where you can or used to get a fish meal for about $10 when first introduced and opened up back in the days over a decade ago, and now years later it became $15-20. The prices here seem a tad on the higher side of what other fish grills charge, but maybe the rent and overhead is higher here too. It's not way off, but noticeably higher when you're ordering multiple entrees to feed a family of 4 or more than just 1 person. It's reliable with a lot of healthy type fresh seafood options on the menu. We do want to try some of the varied fishes, and had the Fish & Shrimp and Chips as a sharable for 2 portioned entree featuring 2 pieces of fish and 3 tempura sized shrimp with not shells incl. no tail shell. The garlic toast was a nice tasty snack sized part of the meal too. The clam chowder soup was really good, better maybe best to many of the counter service fish grill peers we've tried. The fresh cut french fries are also a step above all others who use frozen cut fries, and us connoisseurs of "chips" (fries) can easily tell the difference between fresh and frozen. This aspect is a total "game changer" to me in terms of options for a side dish and choice of fries. Parking was easy at The Enclave. On a side not, as I noticed a reviewer made comment of the "15%" disclaimer: I think the 15% automatic dining tip charge is potentially negative by perception in today's world of the tipping debate culture. As a company just increase all prices by 10% whether to go or dine in to cover that 15% and nobody's the wiser nor complainer and leave an option for dine-in customers to optionally tip or not as well as the to-go customers. It feels like a safter less offensive stance and financially a better business decision. People generally don't like being forced or told what to do when it comes to gratuity or seeing added fees. That' my personal "tip" for the business to consider.

My wife and I recently visited a Long Beach Fish Grill that already had all the makings of a great night out -- warm lighting, inviting atmosphere, and food that made us pause after the first bite. But what truly set the evening apart was the person who took care of us: V. V wasn't just a server. V was the kind of person who makes you feel seen the moment they greet you. There was a warmth in the way they spoke with us -- not rehearsed, not forced, but genuine, like we were guests in a home rather than customers at a table. It's rare to meet someone who can brighten a room simply by being themselves, and rarer still to have that person guiding your evening. Every small detail V handled carried that same kindness: checking in without hovering, offering suggestions without pressure, noticing what we enjoyed and leaning into it. My wife and I kept exchanging those quiet glances couples share when something feels unexpectedly special. By the end of the night, the food was memorable, the atmosphere was lovely -- but V was what we talked about on the drive home. It had been a long time since we'd met someone so warm, so naturally gracious, and it reminded us how much a single person can elevate an entire experience. It wasn't just dinner. It was a reminder of how good people make good places even better. -

Sad time today the Long Beach Fish Grill at The Enclave. I sincerely hope my experience today was an outlier and not the norm. I wanted to dine-in, but (hopefully based on my picture you can tell that my food is in a box) after 20 minutes of not receiving my food I had to switch to take out. It didn't seem that busy, so not sure if I was forgotten about or my original order got messed up & had to be redone or something else. Whatever happened left a bad impression, especially since I was starving for a good meal. The server did apologize for the wait, but no further action was taken.

Came here with friends from work and we were the only customers at that time on an early Friday evening. I'd say the place is cozy and the cool breeze was just right for a warm day. Our server was V...well that's what he told me when asked. Anyway, he got our orders correct and out on time. Not a long wait. I ordered a cup of clam chowder...pass next time for this not because it didn't taste like chowder but it lacked the clams! The group also got chips and salsa...a little greasy but freshly cooked. We also had shrimp ceviche which I would also pass next time. For me it lacked that wow in the ceviche. I had the House Combo consisting of Alaskan Cod, Three Shrimp, and Five Sea Scallops all fried and sides of fries and coleslaw. They weren't oily, however, I would rather have it breaded than battered. I know, fish usually battered...to each his own. Do I really loved what I ordered? It was ok, nothing really outstanding. Condiments are per demand. I'm not even going to say pricey as this has been the trend for all establishments post-COVID. I'll give it one more try for the ambiance and try out the other entrees. Maybe it the star can be bumped up.

I was so sad to see that the old location closed, just to be pumped that a new location opened only 20 min away! The new location is gorgeous. Super modern, lots of plants, and a great vibe and flow. Loved that they had the differences between all the fish textures and flavors incorporated into the art. This is a gluten free persons dream. I was able to have entering but the garlic bread! Ended up with garlic rock fish, brown rice, and zucchini. Love a meal out where I can still meet my macro goals and feel energized after the meal. The staff was so helpful and kind. Really appreciated all the love and care they exuded. This is one of my favorite spots and I always look forward to a great meal here.

Our first time trying this place and we will definitely be back! The food is delicious and service was great. It's a nice place with open seating. It's inside The Enclave- so there's so much happening!

Very cute spot at the Enclave. Easy parking up front or in the back. Very nice hostess. Best fresh French fries I've had in a while. I got a wild caught white fish w/ Cajun seasoning, garlic bread and coleslaw. I'll be back to try other items and to eat there. I had to take mine to go.

My grilled catfish plate w/ garlic butter sauce. Plates come with coleslaw, garlic bread and then you choose one side which was rice.

Tried for the first time and food was good! Ordered a grilled catfish with garlic butter sauce and rice as my side and it came with garlic bread and small coleslaw. Husband ordered same but with spiced cajun rub and his side was salad then it came with garlic bread as well. Everything was good but I didn't understand why my husband's plate had 2 pieces of fish and a lot of salad (no coleslaw) and mine only came with 1 piece of fish. We both ordered from CREATE YOUR GRILLED PLATE section. His looked full and mine looked kind of sad. Anyhow, it is a nice and small restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting. Everyone was talking about that 15 percent charge for eating in. I guess we didn't see it since we were so hungry. Service was ok and food was delicious. Take it to go and eat at one of the tables around the Enclave to avoid that 15 percent dine in charge if you don't want to pay it.

Another food option inside Enclave. Very good fish and chips but a little pricey! Haven't tried other things yet so hard for me to judge whether this place is worth it or not. For now, I'll say it's a solid 4 stars.

I had been to the Long Beach Fish Grill in Long Beach once, but wasn't able to make a return visit before they were replaced by Guisados. I was disappointed. Rubio's was my go to for salmon, but they've since closed a few dozen locations in the Golden State, including the one I'd frequent. I was even more disappointed. I was planning a visit to The Enclave to visit a different business, but when I checked The Enclave's website, I noticed that Long Beach Fish Grill was still in existence! While relieved I could finally make that return visit, the geographical misnomer still gets me. If you closed your location in Long Beach, but kept your Torrance location open, shouldn't you rename it Torrance Fish Grill instead? lol Anyways, I originally came at 1 PM on Monday, thinking they'd be open until 3 PM as stated on their website. Come to find out, the signicade in front stated a takeout only Spring Special where you could get $5 off $20+ or $10 off $40+ on weekdays from 3 PM to 8:30 PM, an anachronistic discrepancy if I say so myself! How can you offer this on a Monday if you'd be closed by then?! I went inside to try and find out, and lo and behold, a different sign specified that the Spring Special would be valid from 2 to 3 PM on weekdays. Such conflicting information pesters me to a great extent; it's like they're trying to mess with us! I asked a cashier to verify the hours of this Spring Special, and she mentioned it would start at 2 PM. I was willing to wait an hour since I had something else to do nearby. Fast forward to 2 PM, and I see a different cashier behind the counter. I ask her about the Spring Special, but she says it starts at 3 PM! Seriously?! I told that cashier the same conflicting info I saw on both signs, mentioning her co-worker who told me 2 PM, and she said she'd honor the discount anyways. The Spring Special would only work on takeout orders, which I was wiling to do since there was plenty of seating elsewhere in the Enclave. To reach $20, I chose the Salmon from the Create Your Grilled Plate option. In addition to the choice of fish, you get to choose your seasoning as well as one side. 4 sides are complimentary, but 5 are premium, incurring an upcharge of 10 quarters. I almost picked "All Coleslaw" until I realized at the last minute the plate would already come with coleslaw, so then I switched to brown rice. I was still 2 quarters short of $20, so I requested an extra sauce, a $1 upcharge. I had chosen the Garlic Butter as my choice of seasoning for the salmon, so I switched gears on the extra sauce and went with Cajun, also a choice of seasoning. The CYO Grilled Plate also comes with a toasted garlic bread. After receiving a pager, I asked the cashier how long I'd have to wait; she estimated about 15 minutes. The pager buzzed between the 10 and 15 minute mark, and the first cashier was there to hand me my order while the second cashier who took my order took a cell phone break outside. I sat at a table within the Enclave to enjoy my meal. The salmon and brown rice were in a pie tin while the coleslaw and garlic bread were bagged separately. The pie tin also included a large lemon wedge to add some lemon flavor to my meal. The salmon came in two small fillets, but were cooked well. However, the garlic butter taste was quite minimal. Good thing I ordered that extra Cajun sauce because it really came in handy, exemplifying the taste profile of the salmon by a great deal! I also used a little on the garlic bread and the rice. I was pleased with the generous amount of brown rice I got. It didn't look like much at first, filling only half the pie tin, but there was more hiding underneath the salmon. Coleslaw was fine. Nothing more to say about that. I also want to point out the menu you see online may not be up to date. One other entree I was considering was the Grilled Salmon Burger. The website says it is $13.50, but the menu inside says $15.95. They likely haven't gotten around to updating their website, but if they haven't even updated the name, I guess I shouldn't be surprised lol. They have a fair amount of tables inside for dine in, but if you can save a few bucks by ordering to go, why not?! Overall, I'm glad that Long Beach (or Torrance lol) Fish Grill hasn't closed for good, and it's a spot I would recommend if you're craving seafood. If they have something similar to the Spring Special during the summer, definitely take advantage of that deal! There's nothing on their website that mentions the Spring Special, so I wouldn't have known about it unless I gave them a call.

I've been here before, and the birria tacos were exactly what I needed for a late-night craving. Crispy on the outside with a good amount of filling and strong flavor - they really hit the spot. I ended up having four of them. The consomé on the side was really good too - rich and flavorful, almost something I could've just had on its own. The street tacos were solid. The carnitas had that tender, slightly crisp texture, and the al pastor added a bit more seasoning and contrast. Nothing overcomplicated, just straightforward and satisfying. Service was friendly, and the setup is quick and casual. In the South Bay where places tend to close early, it was nice that they were open until around 10pm. This is an "order at the counter and they bring it out to you" type of place. The name "& cantina" makes me think you be sat down and someone takes your order. A tad confusing. Let me start with the service. The cashier was friendly but didn't give me any time to decide if I wanted a receipt before declining it on her end. It's a pet peeve. The place was empty. The menu is hard to read and the printed/laminated menus are poorly printed making them difficult to read. They seem to be promoting rolled tacos (aka taquitos) but this says "Blue Burro Burritos." I went with a burrito. It just contained carne asada, guac and pico. No rice. No beans. No cheese. All are extra. It's served with chips and a drink if you get the combo. They do give tiny portions of salsa on the side. The burrito itself looked like it had been on Ozempic for a few months. It tasted fine but just didn't seem plump. The chips were crispy, salty (in a good way) and tasted fresh but there wasn't anything to really dip them in. The salsa they served are in tiny cups so you can't get the chip in it. Honestly, they felt more like hot sauces. The habanero was okay, not really that spicy. The green one was too vinegary for my taste. The place was clean and they had loud music playing in the background. It was empty when I got there and considering all the ingredients in my burrito seemed precooked (like Chipotle), it took a while for the food to come. I went to the beverage bar and the different flavors of the non-soda beverage options had unnatural colors. The horchata looked like got into a fight with a Smurf and lost. The strawberry aquafresca was an unnatural milky opaque red. The cucumber seemed just a bit too neon green. The first two were not to my liking. The cucumber was refreshing but tasted like it contained a LOT of sugar. It was also annoying they didn't have any signs what was what. Back to the service. I had some chips left but went to get a refill on my beverage and the worker there took my food away assuming I was done. I caught her just before she left the dining area and asked her to return the food. She apologized. I think they can/should wait until someone leaves the establishment or at least ask. The combo was about $17. Bottom line: will I return? I would not come here on my own. I think the food is pricey for what it is. However, if I was with others who wanted to come here, I wouldn't say no. There are just better Mexican food restaurants in the area.

Because this is a chain my expectations were low, but wow I'm blown away. So fresh, the tostado…read moreshells are the best I've had. We had the mango ceviche which is so meaty! The hot sauce on selection on the tables are the best I've seen. The food recommendations were solid and the service was even better. Incredibly quick with no jeopardy to the food. This location is probably the cleanest and best sunset location of them all.

Wow!!!!!! So incredible it almost makes me want to move back to Torrance so I can be closer to this…read moreplace. My brother in law took us here after not having been back to the South Bay in some time. We're originally from here but moved to Oregon 9 years ago. My brother in law hyped this place up for year and he finally brought us here. We bought 4 fish tacos: 2 grilled, 2 fried; two fried tilapia; 3 different ceviches and one chicken burrito. There were 3 adults and 2 children. And we literally cleaned our room plates of everything. It was incredible. My son who went in saying he didn't want fish ended up eating half his dad's fried fish. My daughter liked the mango shrimp ceviche so much she drank the ceviche juice... don't judge, it was that good. The service was amazing, so friendly so kind. Everything smelled so clean, especially the bathroom! Who would have thought? Apparently there are many locations but since this one was closest to my mom's house this will forever be my favorite location.
