Ordered take out a while ago and forgot to write a quick review then but here goes. We ordered shrimp and mussels. I believe we got garlic butter for the sauce. Half of them spicy probably. They were really really good. We'd definitely order again. No complaints there. The staff were super friendly and cool. Guy who took our ordered took his time explaining prices and sauces and stuff, appreciate that. Price was fair enough. Cheaper than other places. Now the reason for 3 stars; it took us about 10 minutes to get home and by the time we got home and opened the bags they gave us, THE BAG HAD MELTED! I don't know who came up with such stupid idea to put boiling hot liquids and foods in plastic bags. Really really stupid. Had to discard some because the plastic had stuck on some of the food. I was really really pissed by this. Hope they find, I don't know, something better for their take out options. read more

The customer service needs to improve tremendously. I did not get any service not once ! It a re- fill or a check in . I was here on my birthday and was very upset . It ruined the whole day for me : our food wasn't as ordered and even got offered a funnel cake right after and still took for ever to get that as well . We came in as a group of 9 and were told the wait would be 20-30 minutes, but they sat us in about 5 minutes which was a great start! It's pretty basic seats. Just tables along each other. They had multiple TV's playing a variety of things for people of all ages. Garlic Cajun Fries: SO good. The cheese on top was perfect, super crispy, and really well seasoned. Crab Shack Mix (medium spice): The seasoning was amazing -- had my nose running in the best way. Honestly, I could drink the sauce with a straw. Sausage: Went crazy. Bursts with flavor the second you bite into it. Potatoes & Corn: Simple but the seasoning made them hit way different. Service was fast and consistent the whole time. Andrea was super sweet, and the girl bringing our food out was really attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. They even packed our food for us! Overall, amazing experience. We decided to have a birthday lunch here ordered the clams 2 shrimp bags with the fixins. Excited to chow took picture of the food. At first noticed an unpleasant smell but thought it might just be the sauce sitting in with the clams and it's plastic bag tied up, give it a minute or my imagination so I didn't pay much attention. However after scarfing, the taste was off it was rubbery and hard to eat straight from the shell chewing was difficult. I didn't want to complain initially, but when our waiter Daniel combined the bags together against my I felt uneasy. Later at home, someone else in the household ate the clams and shrimp and both of us got sick. I reported it, nothing was done. Was looking for a new crab spot as I've tried quite a few in LA. This location is small but they delivered big flavor!! When we arrived it was open seating and we were immediate greeted and had our beverage orders taken. We placed our order and noticed how cozy the place felt. My go-to seafood boil spot. I love this place because it is right around the corner from me, but also because the food is great, there's not much of a wait time compared to boiling crab (that makes you wait for two hours), and the service is quick and easy. It is a smaller location compared to the others I've been to, and has a more laid back atmosphere. I usually order the combo that comes with three pounds of seafood and a few pieces of sausage, potatoes, and corn cobs. You get three flavor options (garlic butter, Cajun, and lemon pepper) but the best option is the one that allows you to mix all three. Overall this is one of my favorite seafood boil locations because the staff is helpful, the service is quick, wait times are short, and most importantly the food is great. read more

A very casual place, serving up good seafood, cooked to order with a variety of sides, and in several styles. Those who know me won't be surprised that I chose spicy. I went twice, getting crawfish once, and shrimp the second (head-on -- always a plus, but squeamish folks can get peeled). It's messy, but that's why tables are covered with paper, and you can get bibs and gloves (or be a barbarian, like me). Service was friendly and efficient. My only recommendation for improvement would be that solo diners can get a one pound mix of seafood, which is currently only available for something like 5 pounds and up. I would have loved to have shrimp, crawfish, mussels and clams all together. It's a minor quibble, but consider it. It's women-owned, which is nice to support. read more

Came here for dinner on the weekend with a big group and we were quite disappointed with the service. Food is good, nice seafood boil with good flavors. I quite prefer this over the Boiling Crab chain due to the flavors in the sauce itself, but service here is bad. The workers are talking and laughing with each other and undermine the customers most of the time. There is no professionalism here and no managers when we went. The staff did not welcome us when we walked in and just told us to pick a spot to sit at. From the bat we knew the service was going to lack, but we were hungry and it was kind of late to look for another spot. The owner needs to step in and fix the hospitality and professionalism of his staff. They all seemed like they didn't care and never checked on us not once! If you plan on eating here, just make sure it not near closing because they will rush your order and give you the wrong item and you can't switch it out because they like to close earlier. I ordered @ 8:30pm (they close at 9:30) for a combo 2 crawfish, 1 clam and a seperate shrimp because i'm allergic to shrimp. Ended up with 3 pounds of shrimp and 1 clam. Now i can't enjoy dinner with the family because theyre kitchen was closed. Its a super small restaurant as well, so with only 3 tables sat with 2 servers, there shouldn't be a reason my order was incorrect. Decent food, with not so great service. read more

I would have to agree with the other reviews about the service. It wasn't the worst but if they don't make any improvements it definitely could be. The food was also not good compared to the other Crab Shack locations I have been to. I felt like the seasoning was lacking and it tasted different. The woman's restroom had no soap or paper towels which is a bit nasty considering the type of food they serve. Not to mention they didn't give us any wet wipes at the end of our meal. Also if you want gloves/bibs you have to go up to the counter to ask. This was a reoccurring theme of having to go up to the counter to ask for basic necessities, extra napkins, plates utensils etc. I hope I didn't disturb the worker who was texting on her phone. Also we needed water refills and the guy seemed annoyed when we asked him the second time. So much noise coming from just the metal chairs. You can't move in the chairs without making so much noise! There's a wash station with no soap. Not like the dispenser was empty there was just no soap container or anything. Just a sink with paper towels. Service? What service? Person just took the order and saw her one more time when she brought out food. They didn't even come by to refill our water/drinks let alone ask if everything was ok. Dined in on 4/6/24 and the chairs are still as loud as I remember lol. The service is the best at this location. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. They seem to enjoy their job and that's great for us, customers. We ordered the combo with shrimp and clams. The shrimp was perfectly cooked while the clams seemed overcooked. Still enjoyed everything. The onion rings were fluffy and crispy. The clam chowder was delicious. This is still our favorite location as their service is top notch. I come here often but always check food before leaving with phone orders they have forgotten my rice before . I usually order to go here and eat at home . Sauce level is amazing. I prefer my add ons in a separate bag because sometimes when they put it all in one bag it's less sauce and also I feel like they give you less shrimp just my opinion though. The food here is GREAT, never have any issues at all but JESUS CHRIST WHY ARE THE CHAIRS SO LOUD. The food is so so so good but my friends refuse to eat here because of the chairs it's so simple just add some tops over the bottoms and bam no more issues. Once I finally got through, it was quick and easy. She said my order would be ready in 8-10 minutes. Takes longer to get there from work. Got to the restaurant. My order was ready. I just had to pay, and I was on my way out. Ordered 2 lbs of shrimp (currently $16.99/lb), the crab shack style mild. A good amount of the shrimp were mushy. Some were huge. Some were smaller. Not consistent. Flavor was good though. Some full cloves of garlic in the sauce. I would have gone elsewhere if gas wasn't so expensive these days. 3.75/5 Perk is the location for me. The food is great. The dining area is clean. The service not so much. Nicole took our order and didn't bother to tell us that the rice wasn't ready. It's not a big deal to her but it is to my son who is the customer and excited to be there. When I went to bring it to her attention she said, "I understand." I told her she didn't. And she kept saying she did. My husband waited 13 years to be a dad and Father's Day matters to him and to my son who chose this place for to host his Dad for this years Father's Day luncheon.
