Had to stop in for scans and imaging at the nearby UCLA medical center in Torrance. In preparation for today, I didn't eat anything for the previous 24 hours. Everything went great, and I came out into the hot sun around 1pm. I was STARVING. Ended up having a craving for Lomo Saltado. I've been to other Inka locations around L.A. County. But this one in Carson was closest to UCLA. 7 minute drive. I LOVED EVERYTHING about this place! The Lomo Saltado was amazing and plentiful. Served fast, hot and so fresh. The chicken soup and bread came out beforehand. Also so good. I want to also HIGHLIGHT the SERVICE! If you're dining in, please know that you can just sit down at a table, and you'll get service. This location is 10xs better then the Gardena location. Food just taste way more fresh and cook to ordered compared to the other location. Will definitely come back and refer people to this spot. The shrimp soup and chicken and steak Saltado is straight fire. Got my order quick just make sure you call ahead cause it can take about 20min-30min sometimes to get your food. read more

Oh boy, I hoped I would be able to give a 3-4 star review since it is a family owned business. I ordered a side of plantains, and when I got home and opened the box they looked golden in the outside, however, they were raw inside!! Who does that! Service, the cashier was nice but I took the food to go. Ambiance, there was one person eating in. And two people waiting for their orders to go. It was dinner time. What can be improved? I ordered exactly what my friend ordered because when the server described what it was, I knew I'd sit there with jealousy if I didn't get it myself- this was the Lomo Combination. It was such a wonderful dish. I need to come back here just for this more often. It has a bean base gravy with all my favorite ingredients such as red onion, tender beef, green onion, tomatoes and rice. I also had this bright yellow drink called Inka Soda. The whole experience made me feel like I was in another country since I don't ever eat Peruvian food. (This is such a mistake on my part.) Located conveniently off the 405 at Avalon, we found this cute Peruvian restaurant. The portions are sizable and flavorful. There is even a light green sauce served on the side which I didn't think I needed, but actually made it even better. Overall the dish i ordered was wonderful. It was a bit too salty which is why I removed a star. The service was great! I know time of day plays in as it was mid-afternoon, but great nonetheless. Food was out fast. I'm so glad they opened this location so I don't have to go to Gardena. The Peruvian food from this location is delicious! They keep this place clean and I love that you can dine in or take out. I'm always looking for the "A" in the window. As a friend of someone who owns a restaurant I know it's not hard to get a "A". You have to care about your customers, and this place does. Whenever I order by phone or in person they always give good customer service with a willingness to explain the menu to ensure I order exactly what I want. Now on to the food. Flavor, consistency and quality! Just delicious. I normally get Loma Saltado, Saltado de Pollo or Col de Pollo. Today we tried the Pollo Al La Brasa. The chicken was juicy, full of flavor with the skin grilled just right. The skin was crispy without being burnt or tasting burnt. If you like El Pollo Loco you will love this. It's so much better. Never tried Peruvian ceviche usually used to one from the meat market but flavor was delicious. This place used to be so good, now it's just gone down the drain and they don't offer much after they mess up. They forgot my Aji Verde, even after I paid for an EXTRA ONE and left a note to be sure they knew, since they forgot my fries last time. Speaking of fries, I asked for them to make them a little more well done and if you see the photo... does that look right to you? When I called, I got a "oh sorry. Was excited when I came into town that they had a location right off the 405 in Carson. I crave Pollo Inka food a lot more since I moved out of LA since there are no really good Peruvian restaurants where I live. So I ordered takeout and ate in my hotel room. I ordered pollo à la brasa meal that comes with aguadito soup and asked for rolls and extra verde sauce. I absolutely love the flavors of such a simple dish but was very saddened by the overly salted chicken, sauce and soup. The soup was creamier than I've had in The Torrance an Lawndale locations but it was the saltiness that made it inedible. Pushed that aside to start on the main dish. The green sauce was also an odd color, more yellow than green, too salty and not flavorful. The chicken must have been plucked too young as there was little meat on it. The rolls I purchased were stale and dry. I didn't finish any of my meal and was left very disappointed. I'm hoping this was just an off night and not the standard experience at this location. There is a really great aroma when you walk in the door. I love good chicken skin and the flavor of the spices penetrates into the meat giving it a really savory flavor. I ordered fried rice and I love the crispy texture mixed in with the fried egg chunks (that were deliciously large) along with onion. The fries were good but I only wish they were a little crisper on the outside. My 1/2 chicken meal also came with a flavorful soup that really made it feel like a full meal. With a Coke I only dropped about 20 bucks and left with at least half a portion for later. Good customer service and I liked how clean the restaurant and bathroom were. Really festive, upbeat music and large screen tvs made the space feel very inviting. I will definitely come check this place out and try more of their selections. Provecho! read more

I have frequented the Torrence location some years ago and could never find a Peruvian spot that served the same chicken or sauce. This place is part of the franchise and had friendly welcoming staff. It's a smaller shop but still clean and roomy. We ordered the chicken with garlic white rice my absolute favorite. There were so many things I wanted to try on the menu but I can never go wrong with my favorite chicken dish. We also ordered the fried rice, steak with bell peppers and onions, and the spaghetti with green sauce. I wasn't really impressed with the spaghetti dish it kinda lacked in flavor, but the steak with peppers was delish and the fried rice was pretty good as well. We were pleasantly surprised that the gave us free cups of the soup I wanted to try so badly. It definitely did not disappoint. Chunks of chicken, carrot, and the broth was so flavorful and fresh. You could taste the cilantro which I love! The star of the show is the green (hot) sauce they put on the table for you to use. It's herbaceous, spicy, and creamy all at the same time. Wow I can't get enough of that stuff! Also try their Inka Kola if you ever get the chance... it's like a sparkling piece of bubblegum. I highly recommend giving this place a try! read more

First time at this Pollo Inka location in Carson on 11/17/24. This location is smaller than the other location we've been to. The staff are very friendly and nice. The restaurant was clean and so were the restroom. We ordered the usual, lomo saltado for the kids and mariscos saltado for me which is a seafood version. I do agree with the other reviews that the protein is less and they pack the plate with fries and onions. But the lomo saltado beef at this location is better, more tender and not over cooked like the other locations. My kids order that same thing every time we dine in so they know the difference. My mariscos was also less. The portion here isn't as full as the other locations but the ambiance at this location is more preferable for us. We always enjoy the soup and bread at the beginning of our meals. We were seated right away with no wait. We will definitely be coming back to this location. If you choose to dine in, it's got a fast food ish decor but a notch above the Rolling Hills Inka Wasi. The wait time was extremely long for a restaurant that wasn't too busy (at least from what I saw) We waited about an hour for our food and when it got to our table is was completely cold. I was too hungry that I did not bother to ask them if they would warm it up for me. My mother had their margarita but that too wasn't good. This location is different than your typical pollo inka. I imagine it was originally meant to be an only take out location but they added a few tables to accommodate people who wanted to dine in. Hence all the tableware, plates, etc are disposable. Very wasteful overall. But hey, if you are craving Peruvian food, specifically pollo inka Peruvian food, the quality is there. Just don't expect restaurant ambiance. I wasn't expecting it to look like the inside of a five guys burgers and fries when I went my first time. I am so happy this place is in Carson. I was waiting for a couple years for it to open. I love El Pollo Inka. Their chicken is awesome. But the things I enjoy most are their soup, their Saltados, their Chaufas, and their Plantains. I go extra juicy with the Saltados. Not all El Pollo Inkas are created equal. I've noticed some have more flavor than others. This one is one of the good ones. Parking can be tricky because the lot is small but the demand is high. Service was nice and quick. There is an inside dining area with a big television. Great lighting and lively staff. I'll definitely be a regular here. read more
