I have been going to Diana's for years, and I have loved it for years. My favorite go-to is the green chile wet burrito with beef, rice and beans inside. It never disappoints. It is the right amount of spicy and savory deliciousness that my soul needs every few weeks. I have had other dishes and I am never disappointed. The carne asada burrito was one of my number 1 cravings when I was pregnant with both of my kids. Sometimes, the wait can be a bit long depending on the crowd, but it can be expedited if you order ahead for pick up. I hope Diana's is around forever because it is an absolute treat. read more

It makes me a little sad to write this review because this place is truly an institution in the city I grew up in. I remember coming here when I was young and it was always bustling with people, you could smell the masa and the comida before you hit the door. Because of those memories, I've always had a soft spot for this place and really want to see it do well. That said, since COVID, things seem to have gone downhill. I completely understand that change is inevitable, and sometimes change can be for the better...but in this case, it unfortunately feels like the opposite. This review is less about the food and more about the overall experience, ambiance, and how the place makes you feel. The food itself is still good. I've been here twice this month, and everything I ordered was tasty and consistent with the quality they've always been known for. However, the atmosphere has changed dramatically. The ordering line setup is awkward, the cashiers are young and come across as unfriendly and not very welcoming, and while the menu items haven't really changed, the signage has--several times--and keeps getting smaller, which feels odd and confusing. There was nothing wrong about the old larger font menu. The dining area is another big issue. The use of six-foot folding tables gives the space no warmth at all. It feels sterile and cold...almost like a mess hall...rather than a place you want to sit and enjoy a meal. During my most recent visit, things were even worse. There was nowhere to sit because every table was piled with dirty dishes and leftover food. The trash cans were completely full and overflowing, which clearly contributed to the problem. I'm not sure what's going on behind the scenes, but it feels like there's a lack of supervision or management--someone who really cares and properly trains and supports the team. I truly wish this place the best. It has so much history and potential, and there's always another day to turn things around. I really hope they do. read more

What happened to Diana's? The inside eating area looks like an abandoned office space. Foldable tables and party chairs??? Chips are different. The texture is hard and has a different flavor. This location has been a Carson staple since I can remember. Why did they let it get so blahhh??? It doesn't even look like a Mexican restaurant anymore. read more

First time stopping here after work. I been out here in cali for 23 years and past here many times. Ok pulled into their parking lot, walked in and there was no line the place was practically empty. Only three other people here. It looked really clean and kind of bland. No real comfortable restaurant look. So I grabbed some taco size flour tortillas for home. They were really dry when I used them. Now back to the burrito I ordered. I liked at the menu for a minute I told the cashier it was my first time there and she said take your time. I wanted a wet burrito and she suggested the original. I said sure she explained what was in it and I wanted green sauce. The wait wasn't long. I grabbed my order headed home for dinner and took it out of the bag and looked in the container it came in after I opened it and it was swimming in green sauce it was way to much sauce for me and was kind of bland. They also threw some lettuce in there some where. I took the couple chip it came with and threw them in there to help soak up some of the sauce and dug in. It was ok but definitely not for me. It might be good for you but I'll pass. I have a couple good spots local that are my goto. At least I tried. read more

Servers are rude, unwelcoming, and inconsiderate, consistently being a nuisance environmentally, dragging loud disruptive chairs across the floors in such a cringing manner. Food is good however again- servers are rude and stingy with salsas (only allowing 2 per customer!?!) Note to self, salsa are watered down. Besides bad customer service, their foods are deliciously hot and well seasoned. Hopefully in future references their catering service is improved environmental-wise. read more

NEW MANAGEMENT AND THEY CHARGE FOR EVERYTHING NOW. The least they can do is renovate the place but it still looks the way it did 10 years ago. Sucks they charge for everything now even for the chips and salsa. Also when you order a burrito, you are supposed to be able to choose the type of meat you want. Well here they charge 3$ extra if you want carne Asada instead of the basic beef chunks. I will refrain from coming to this place, my family and I used to frequent this place. But I think it's best to find another spot! read more

The food was awful today .. I beef and potatoe with rice and beans.. beef was very rubbery so I tossed them out !!! Eat the beans and rice only.. and the proportions are small now.. they serve you like a kid.. omg! I told them then they gave me a bigger plate.. but they keep on doing it...and I hate to complain...they should already know how to serve! But I see alot of new people working so I get it! Hopefully manager trains them well.. and if you ask for extra salsa they charge 50 cent lol omg but not everyone.. only some workers well do that...I've been coming here since the 90s.. Of course popular place, always busy so I'm sure their food is great all around, the times I've eaten @ one of the Diana's location, I always have the bean and cheese burrito, super bomb! Staff is friendly and speedy. Although the price increase has been significant over the years to $9.99, yes, one burrito, beans and cheese only and it is fairly a good size and they give you a side of tortilla chips which I appreciate. I was going to order a side of sour cream, a 2oz cup and realized it's 2.99 what??!! Outrageous, guacamole I can MAYBE understand it being $2.99 but sour cream, I'm sorry that's just not cool, it's practically buying a small tub, Daisy 1lb, 16 oz costs $2.79 ... this is not ok. read more

After watching some of my fave South Bay YouTubers/fellow Yelper Lisa L. go to Diana's Mexican Food; I knew I had to check this place out. I definitely have to say even though I saw a video of this place on YouTube; I was surprised at all the abundant different offerings they have here. It's almost like a mini market that offers tortilla, Mexican bread, masa and more. On their menu is breakfast offerings like Breakfast Burritos, Chilaquiles and Omelettes. For lunch they offer affordable lunch specials at $8.95 that include rice and beans. They also have soups such as Menudo and Albondigas They even offer different coffee drinks. My mom and I both got lunch specials. My mom got the Chicken Tamale while I got the Shredded Beef Taco. The Chicken Tamale was smothered in red sauce. The Shredded Beef Taco was crisp with a fair amount of tender beef. For $8.95; I thought the lunch specials were well worth the price. We also got a large soup of Albondigas. This was a little under $12. The large comes with five Albondigas meatballs. I enjoyed the soup. I thought the broth had good flavor and was not salty. The meatballs were also meaty. Last of all; I saw some day old bread for a $1. There were three pieces inside which I thought was a great deal. I was surprised however when it rang for a $1.50. It was still a good deal but not quite the $1 they advertised. Diana's is a decent place for good deals of delicious Mexican food. read more

When you step into Diana's on Sepulveda the smell hits you right away -- fresh masa, tamales steaming, menudo cooking slow on the stove. Right away it feels warm, like walking into someone's family kitchen. The burritos here are not small, they're big and heavy, one is enough to fill you the whole day. The mole burrito especially, ya3ni, the taste stays with you long after. And if you like to cook at home, this is the spot, akhi. You can buy your masa, your husk, everything fresh, so you can make tamales yourself for the family. The quality is strong, not like the packaged ones in the market. Service is simple and straight, no games. The workers are quick, always moving, making sure you get your food fast. Prices are fair, especially for how much food you get. And their other locations -- Carson, Gardena, Norwalk -- wallah, just as good. Same flavor, same portions, same quality every time. If you are in Torrance or Carson, this is a must stop. Grab a burrito, take some masa for the house, you'll thank me later. read more

Wow. I grew up eating here but hadn't been back in a couple years. Ordered the wet burritos. No BS... there was probably 8 little cubes of meat in the entire burrito. Maybe 2-3 tablespoons worth of meat. All beans and rice. Even the cheese melted on top was MAYBE a tablespoons worth. Gone are the days of their good beef burritos with melting cheese, melting off the sides with each fork bite. No joke. You probably get more beef from a Mc'D's kids hamburger. What a rip off. To begin with that cubed beef they use is cheap. They just cook it long. Now this? Save your money and eat some there else or just save yourself $70 on feeding your family and just make bean and rice burritos for less than $10. read more

Stopped by for some menudo early Sunday. In our opinion Diana's is definitely the spot for menudo in the South Bay and one of the top best in Los Angeles. Diana's in Gardena is closer but since they don't have dine in we decided to drive a few minute further to dine in, and so glad we did it never disappoints. read more

Not sure what's happening to this place. New management? The logo and sign out front is different. I order a two chicken taco combination plate, arrive home and discover the tacos only have chicken inside... no cheese, no lettuce, just chicken. I call the restaurant and get the run around from a young employee saying "he doesn't know anything". I've been coming here for years, will never return! read more

How have I not had this sooner?! I tried Dianas wet chicken mole burrito, it was absolutely stuffed with meat and the mole was bomb- so flavorful. Huge portion of burrito with rice & beans that I couldn't finish. The chips were hot and fresh served with salsa. I also tried their pastel de 3 leches cake. Everything was super delicious and reasonably priced. Staff is really kind and has a large variety on the menu. Parking is ample and free right next door. There was security outside and everything was clean. Will definitely be back again read more

Been coming here for decades, today's visit was such a disappointment. Two breakfast burritos - 1 sausage, 1 bacon. Ordered like 8:45, one party ahead of me already ordered and waiting. A walk-in for menudo - he was in and out. 25 minutes later, my 2 burritos are ready. Get back to the house and although 1 is marked bacon - there was no bacon to be seen. Both burritos were sausage - kids were disappointed. At about $30, there was probably two small links in each. Chips tossed in the bag, but no salsa. Going forward I'll save time and money by going to Steve's. read more

I ordered the "Original Taco Burrito " it was sloppy not wrapped correctly and to top it off it was super salty! I used to visit the Gardena location years ago, drove by this restaurant I was trying to memory lane , I should've kept driving. Very sad to have experienced such terrible food. read more

They need some fun music and give me a reason to order some beer and hangout more. I don't really see this as anything other than a takeout place unless they extend their hours and improve the vibe.

Very professional and knowledgeable about the menu and non-dairy items. Provided us with what we needed right away, the container for the salsa and brought out fresh ones for me. Very nice guy. As a business owner myself, I understand that customer service is one of the biggest drivers of customer retention. Great products can bring people in once, but great service brings them back. I've been coming to Diana's for 25+ years now and I LOVE IT! #11 with red with rice and beans is what I have always gotten. Sometimes I get a big horchata to wash it all down. I remember coming here when I was in high school...It's open 24 hours so being able to come here for a late night snack is way better than Denny's!
