Food was amazing, they have specials every day of the week, the lechon I had was Tuesday's special at just $14.99, what a steal! The vibe inside was great! Our server Manuel was awesome, very attentive! read more

I work in the area so I placed an order for pick up. When I got there I realized I had a lot of time left on my lunch break so I asked the cashier if I could sit at the bar and eat and he said "I already packed it" mind you there's only one person sitting at a table and no one else inside. So I asked him again if I could just sit at the bar and he repeated "I already packed it" I paid and sat at the bar anyway but he gave me an awkward look and seemed very bothered by it. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and it really wasn't that great. I would've loved to come back and try other dishes but the service pushed me away for good read more

My husband, friend, and I visited last Saturday night and the experience was unfortunately disappointing. The interior is nicely decorated and feels welcoming. We ordered the paella mixta, steak fajitas, and potato balls as an appetizer. When the potato balls arrived, they were somewhat cold in the middle, which made it seem like they had not been heated thoroughly. The paella was mushy and bland. The steak had no flavor and all of us needed to add a significant amount of salt. The plantains were delicious and the beans were solid. At the beginning, our waiter was friendly, but the interaction became uncomfortable toward the end. Since we only ordered two main dishes, he provided minimal service and checked in twice. We appreciated he provided plates to share. When we paid, he questioned whether we had enough on our card. While my husband was entering the tip, the waiter hovered and watched the amount closely, then reacted with an upset expression. After looking over the receipt, he tossed it back at him.Overall, we do not plan to return and would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Love my Cuban food, and yes I am picky. Service was perfect for a Sunday afternoon. We ordered the Havana combination. Came out fast, but we had to ask for the " garlic Sauce". The garlic sauce should have come with the dish. The Shrimp and the chicken yum! Beef and pork totally dry and no seasoning. And this dish should have come with Mofango. And the atmosphere It's very tropical inside, however I expected Cuban music, Miami vibe. read more

I got the shrimp fajita with a salad. I understand this is a Cuban place, but I was so glad they offered fajitas! The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. The salad dressing was a cilantro dressing, which was delicious! The waiter was very sweet and accommodating. The ambience was really cute because there was live Spanish music. read more

It's been years since I've been to Havana Mania. On a Friday evening we were sat rather quickly. The server immediately asked if we wanted a mojito. Of course! Lol The restaurant looks the same from over 10 years ago. Lol The Oxtail Stew was on the menu, so that was ordered along with the garlic shrimp and shrimp fajitas. We were all happy with our meal! I'll make sure to add this back in the rotation. read more

This spot is truly a hidden gem in the South Bay. My Cuban fiancé grew up going here so we gave it a try and I fell in love!! We now come here a few times a month, and the food has been a 10/10 every single time. This is a family owned business, service is always attentive, and food comes out quickly. I get the lechón asado almost every time. Ropas Viejas is also delicious. Coconut mojito is my favorite. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. Nice for group meals or a date. Give this spot a shot I promise you'll love it! read more

Came here for the Oxtail plate. So flavorful and tender. One of the best places to have such a rich and tasteful meal. We also ordered the delicious empanadas (beef). Service is fantastic. Love the family feel in this place. read more

The Baseline: For a Cuban restaurant, the four traditional staples (beans, rice, plantains) must be represented along with the three traditional meats (chicken, beef, and especially pork), the preparation must accentuate the flavors (including garlic) with Spanish/African/Caribbean influences to represent the Cuban cuisine. Food: The best dish was the pork (Lechon Asado) with classic sides and ask for their garlic sauce. You need the sauce. Also I had the Ox Tail (Rambo Encendido) which is a popular dish but it is market rate ($32 the day I was there). So it was tasty but I think my personal preference would be the Lechon Asado ($19). The Camarones al Ajilo (Shrimp) were also good, but still wanting the pork over the shrimp. The rice, beans, and plantains were really good traditional sides to the meals. The Mojito was very refreshing as an alcoholic beverage and worth it for the meal. Also the fries were good, reminding me of the fries I get at a beach food stand (which is a good thing). Overall the food is good here. Service: Good solid service on the night we came and I always had water refills. Ambiance: The inside makes me feel like I am sitting in a Cuban restaurant in Florida. Great music in the background and the lighting was nice and low for the evening broken by the neon "Mojitos" sign near the bar. Also clean bathroom. read more

Wanted to try this place again since it's so popular. Ordered through DoorDash. Food came pretty quickly. Got Mom's Ropa Vieja and 1/2 Pollo Asado. Didn't really like the meat in the Ropa Vieja. The chicken wasn't dry but I think I prefer the chicken and seasoning/sauce at other places. read more

Hubby loves a good sandwich, and their Cubano is one of the better comforts you can Doordash. Lots of roast pork stuffed into a crusty roll, plenty of garlic flavor. Lechon Asado is the stuff in the cubano with onions on top. The meat is tender, the beans are surprisingly savory, best when eaten in the same bite as the pork and rice. And I'll always say yes to sweet plantains. Not a bad place to eat. Lively ambiance, food travels well. read more

Our favorite was surprisingly the Lomo saltado, it was the most flavorful and you can taste the soy sauce and I appreciate the larger tomatoes. The portion of steak was pretty small however not worth the price. The 1/2 chicken was not the best and was dry, I wish it had more of the garlic flavor you typically look for in Cuban food. The lechon asado was okay as well, I would order over the chicken for sure. If we're craving lomo saltado I would come back. read more

I have lived in the South Bay all my life and remember this restaurant since I was a little girl. Today I had the curiosity of trying it out during happy hour. The drinks were delicious, I forgot to take a picture(s). I started off small since not sure how my pallet would like it. I was pleasantly surprised. I started off with a beef empanada, you can tell it's hand made which I loved. The beef was moist and juicy and well seasoned. I would get more of these!!! I do think they're a little pricy~ 5.50 each one but good to have one to try out! I also got the yucca and it was paired with a cilantro aoli, very much worth it. On its own the yucca is dry, as expected but very much delicious. I was curious and took some platanos maduros to go home and they're great. Service was great. Unfortunately sometimes I look like a teen (height and adult braces) so I think they didn't take me as seriously as other customers coming in. overall I will say service was fast and attentive as they could be. The ambiance is super cute. The outside of the builds has always looked janky to me but when you walk in, it definitely feels class. It's a cute little gem and I will definitely be coming back with friends!!! read more

Carla was our server: she was very welcoming and sweet. I had not been here in YEARS: the food has not changed (which is a great thing). My favorite is the grilled chicken breast with rice and beans. Simple. I feel like it used to have more garlic and onion flavor which I loved, but it was still good. My Mom had never had Cuban food before; she enjoyed her dish as well! read more

Was running some errands and passed by the restaurant so decided to stop by to grab a late lunch. Been here before and found the food to be most excellent. Well as always they didn't disappoint. My family got takeout from here. I got the cuban sandwich which was delicious, they use big pieces of pork which nade the sandwich so juicy. My husband got the ropa vieja which was delicious in flavor but was missing more juice to it and felt it was a bit dry. My daughter got the chicken which had onions, I had a bite and it was really good. I would get that dish next time. Overall very delicious plates. read more

Very mid. The food looks as if I made it at home when I'm in a bad mood. No presentation whatsoever, if I go out to eat, at least I hope it looks and tastes better than what I'd make! It tasted alright though. The mocktail is good, but again, looked like I picked some mint leaves from the garden and shoved them in a glass and poured soda over it in the most basic glass. Service is mid. The only reason I'm giving three stars is because I loved the ambiance and vibes overall. read more

Those times you hit Yelp to find a place, get there, then look across the parking lot and see another place that looks better. That's what we did and we SCORED! I haven't had Cuban food this REAL since my travels in Miami. Absolutely the real deal with ultra seasoned pork and tender, marinated pollo. If I hadn't been partaking in a "dry January", I'd've been hitting those "best Mojitos in Los Angeles". Next time! My guess is they probably are the best in Ellay. What we had; THE CUBANO (5!) sub YUCA FRIES THE 1/4 CHICKEN BLACK BEANS & WHITE RICE It was out of this world! In fact, so far out of this world...we might actually have been in Cuba for all I know. Stranger things have happened. Hot Tip #389: I chatted with a local on the way out and asked him what his favorite dish was...THE EMPAÑADAS, hands-down. read more

They served me a margarita with no alcohol in it. I barely drink so I can taste the slightest hint of liquor. The owners nephew (who made the drink) came over and said that he put two ounces. Didn't even offer to fix it. he was distracted the whole time making the drink and seemed like he had been drinking too. I didn't want to make a big deal (my friends brought it up) so I just let it go. But it was obvious that all the staff was distracted, talking to each other more than attending the customers. Disappointing experience. read more

Havana Mania is a good restaurant to go if you are craving Cuban cuisine. It was my nephew's choice so we found this place to try out. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We were seated right away before they got busy. Food came out in good time. Speaking of food, we were all pleased with our individual entrees. Not a frown among the seven of us in the family. They make some tasty Cuban food at Havana Mania. We used to have a Cuban restaurant in my hometown, and they were great!! Was so sad when they closed during Covid. The food we tried at Havana Mania in Redondo Beach was almost as good in my opinion. Would absolutely return whenever I'm craving Cuban cuisine. Won't be going to Cuba anytime soon so Havana Mania will be the place to go for me. read more

Look at the palm of your hand. That was the size of my bistec. $2.99 for substituting platanos for 3 tostones. Espresso $4.99. Coke $3.99. After tip, $47. I wrote "Coño" on the check. Not really, but these gauging prices will make any Cuban say that. Isn't that crazy? And I'm still hungry. We need a revolution. No more free bread either. This place is so authentic that it reminds me of communist rationed Cuba. Que lastima, chico. read more

Overall wonderful experience for my first try. It was my gfs mom's bday and she wanted Cuban so here we are! 6:30pm on a Thursday night and we caught one of the last booths inside which was nice as it was slightly busy. Service was friendly and everything came out hot! Our only criticism is that we found most of it to be salted heavy but all agreed oversalted is better than bland. None of the food here was lacking flavor, will come back for the apps and classic Cuban favorites. Oxtail, and breaded beef and classic chicken with those grilled onions cannot be missed. read more

Real deal Cuban food. Excellent ropa vieja and lechon. Restaurant takes me back to Miami

Food was really flavorful and service was excellent. The mojito was so good, lots of fresh mint. Will definitely be coming back.

Top tier Cuban. So fresh. So well and intentionally seasoned & cooked. Great amount of food for such a decent price. These oxtails were better than Jamaican ones!! My man for the pork which was cooked fried to crispy perfection on the outside but soft inside and melted in your mouth. Everything was GREAT!! Kind service as well. Definitely my new favorite Cuban spot. read more

We were at Havana Mania earlier this week the service and food was wonderful. However, when we walked in the bartender who was a blonde mature woman had an un welcoming face. Omg! I had the oxtail stew. So good!!! The oxtail were big, juicy and tender. Falling off the bone! Came with traditional white rice and black beans. Drinks are good too! I had some Guava drink & a lemon drop. I was tipsy & almost left my food. One of the waiters brought it out to me. All of the staff had great customer service. I'll definitely be back to try this place for happy hour. There's so much more that I want to try. Its in a shopping center & right off of the fwy so its easy to find & plenty of places to park. read more

Came for lunch with my husband. The lunch portion for pork was $12.99. The portions were small and came with white rice and black beans. I ordered the vegetarian plate but to get the plantains I had to order the dinner size for $17.99. Service was ok. The inside of the restaurant was loud for lunch. I can't imagine what it would be at dinner time with more people. I tasted my husband's pork and wasn't impressed. However he liked it. My vegetarian plate had mostly cauliflower which I don't particularly like but for $5 extra I got three plantains. I don't see myself returning. For a luncheon portion of pork I will be going back to Versailles restaurant in Culver City. read more

One of our favorite places to get Cuban/central American cuisine. Loved the Yuca fries and the drinks! We ordered- Lomo Saltado (fail safe option!), Arroz Con Pollo la Cubana ( this was SO flavorful, I wiped the plate clean and even the server noticed!). Happened to be in Lawndale at lunch time and was delighted to find a Cuban restaurant. The place was clean and since it was on the early side of lunch we found ourselves the only ones there. Server was friendly and welcoming. Ordered the obligatory pollo and lechón asado along with plántanos maduros and frijoles negros. First time I've had small boneless chicken pieces mixed in with the rice as compared to pieces of chicken on the side. The roast pork didn't have the expected flavor although it was ok. The yuca was good although without the naranja agria, aka sour orange, it had a different flavor. All in all, was a fun lunch and an unexpected find. Server was very friendly, restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. read more

This place was pretty good. We were greeted as we arrived and we got sat down pretty fast. Our waiter Manny was very nice and had the biggest personality. We started off with some delicious mojitos we tried the Mango, and guava and they were legit! Their Cuban sandwiches are very good and they are served with a side of fries(pretty good portion). We also tried their Moms Ropa vieja which was my absolute favorite it would have been nice if it came with a few pieces of bread to dip the flavorful broth as well. I got a side order that wasn't a problem but would have been nice.. it was 10/10. Their service is Fast and very attentive. For a first timer I'd def come back and try more options when I get that Cuban food urge. I loved the ambiance of the place we went to an early dinner and want as full so appreciate that.. overall experience was great! Parking wasn't a problem there's plenty of slots to park as well. Always a great meal here but coming in to review a few more dishes we had not tried before - the Cuban Nachos, Beef Empanadas, Fiesta Cubano, and the 1872 Mojito. The Cuban Nachos were absolutely delicious and cooked so perfectly. There were even some crispy picadillo pieces. Yum! This is an excellent appetizer that I would suggest. The Beef Empanadas were full of flavor and the dough paired so well the beef. This is a must try if you love empanadas. The Fiesta Cubano is an entree that allows you to try pork bites, shredded beef, ham croquetas, moros, sweet plantains, and yuca. This is a great way to try multiple top hits and it's paired so well together in terms of flavor. Finally the 1872 Mojito is incredibly smooth! Their mojitos are always delicious but this one is especially full of flavor and a must try! Per usual, the owner and waiters are incredibly friendly and make this a must stop / regular spot for delicious food! Thanks again for another excellent meal! read more

Okay confession--this was actually my third time eating here but I never wrote a review because I kept forgetting or was with a group and didn't want to be the weirdo taking food pics lol But this time I was free to do me!
