    Steak Fajitas

Small family run Mexican food restaurant in the South Bay. Went with 3 others and we all enjoyed our meal there. We were warmly greeted, seated quickly and had menus and drinks served promptly. They brought out hot home chips and salsa which were delicious. Two of us had the shrimp fajitas, one had steak fajitas and the fourth ordered beef tacos. Everyone loved the meals and portions were quite generous. Prices were definitely more reasonable than the more expensive places by the beach and better tasting. New favorite Mexican restaurant for us!

Very unassuming restaurant with a tight parking lot. Very welcoming staff , seated me right away. Full bar with cans of sodas, rather than fountain drinks. Booths or tables to choose from. TV's hung on the walls. Chips and salsa delivered right away. Salsa was chunky style. Really good flavor. Not hot, mild. House margarita was very tasty. I got a combination plate with a crunchy shredded beef taco, chile relleno, beans and rice . A lot of beans and rice, I couldn't eat it all. The taco shell was definitely home made. The shredded beef was spiced and cooked well. The Chile relleno was covered in a red enchilada sauce and stuffed with cheese. I love rellenos and this one was good. My water was kept filled and the staff was very friendly and polite. I would not hesitate to eat here again next time I'm in town.

Delicious tart lime margarita, I'll have 2 please.

It's Thank You Thursday...and it would not be complete without sharing a heartfelt Thank You to the restaurant that fills our bellies time and time again. Zacatecas YOU are a south bay staple and it's refreshing to have you in the neighborhood. Your friendly greetings, super tasty food, and consistency is why my family visits often both dining inside and takeout. Sometimes we need a round or two of your tart margaritas so dining at the restaurant is a must - let's face it, you rock the experience, hands down. Thank you Zacatecas. Thanks for making us happy time and time again. Keep rockin' it!

Service is excellent, felt very welcomed here and they were very quick with everything! Food was also very good. Huge portions and fair priced, can't get any better than that.

Chili Verde was goooooooood & FLAVORFUL! It came out hot & fresh topped off with an over-easy egg.

First time here and I am very satisfied! I ordered the strawberry margarita and the Tom's asada burrito with red sauce. I don't usually do much spicy, and it was perfect for me, full of flavor and absolutely delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms, which I really appreciate. I will definitely be returning next time I am in the area. Highly recommend this place if your looking for authentic Mexican food.

It had been so long since I've been here and it's still fantastic! Stopped in late Monday and they were a little busy but we still got a roomy booth. Easy parking, and service was quick and friendly. Love the food, had a few different options and everything was great. Prices are fair and I'll definitely be back for more.

I was in town visiting a friend and I told him I wanted Mexican food & he brought me here. This place is worth any wait there could ever be. When you first walk in your welcomed almost to what feels like a family dinner, they seat and give you one of the menus I have pictured. The menu offers you a strong selection of amazing traditional Hispanic dishes. My bean & cheese burrito with a side of rice was literally perfect. My friend got a shredded beef burrito & it was amazing as well. I will definitely be back to try something new & I genuinely can't wait

    Yes this shits fire

Fu**ing fire and very hospitable . First time here and I would be back. We got the pozole and toms burrito . Who ever running the hiring and staff has an amazing selection because all the servers were on it and helpful and chill. Pull up

    Review on chicken tacos?

The chicken tacos I had were juicy and well marinated .

As of Sept 18, what safety precautions do they take, such as servers wearing face shields (mandaed by LA County Health Dept), disposable plates and cups and silverware and menus and condiment packages?

I only order things to go but while waiting for my food I noticed that they take great precautions to safeguard the customers that eat at the restaurant while dining outside.…

During Covid-19, how many tables do they have outside and how many people can each table seat?

I ate there during covid and there were about four tables that seat four.

As of August 8, do they have outdoor dining or when do they plan to have it?

They have about 4 canopies set and can 8 to 12 folks from what I saw.

    Do they cater?

Yes, they do cater. We have used there catering service in the past for our Teacher Appreciation luncheons.

Do they have any decent vegan choices?

Unfortunately they do not have vegan options. I guess you could order their vegetarian burrito with no cheese and it should be safe but that's probably it.

Both were excellent, well balanced, and made with quality tequila. The shrimp taquitos disappeared fast and were easily one of the highlights of the meal. For our entrees, I ordered the lobster and shrimp enchiladas. They were rich, creamy, and loaded with seafood. The rice and black beans were seasoned well, which I always appreciate because sides can make or break a meal. My date had the rib eye tacos, and the steak was cooked perfectly and incredibly tender. The cheesy potatoes underneath were so good I had to steal a few bites. What really elevated the experience was our waiter, Anderson. He was an absolute delight. Friendly, attentive, and personable without hovering over the table. Service like that makes a difference. The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great date night spot. Even the bathrooms were spotless and well kept, which always says something about how a restaurant is run. We left full, happy, and made it to our jazz concert right on schedule. Great food, excellent cocktails, outstanding service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back. We'll definitely be visiting Caló Kitchen + Tequila again.

First, just like most casual Mexican restaurants you are greeted with house made salsa and chips to snack on while you study the menus for your meal. The salsa is very fresh and the chips are not, thank goodness, over salted. It's a perfect starter! I enjoyed the meal option of four chicken flautas with rice, beans, and perfectly portioned guacamole and sour cream. You are able to make your own choice of meat stuffing, which I love, knowing that the flautas are freshly made. I chose to have chicken and found it to be perfectly fried, not overly seasoned, which some places do. I like that you can actually taste the chicken and not just spice. I also had the horchata to drink, and I loved it! The service is wonderful, with many families flocking to the restaurant for that homemade feel for dinner. The staff has always been kind enough to offer a refill of your drink/soda to go if you wish. Kindness from the staff is a real highlight of Raul's. The ambiance of being at home is a plus for me. There are a few handicap parking spots available in the small adjoined parking lot, with easy wheelchair access through the front door. There is also plenty of parking spots located on the street and in the available parking lot located in the middle of Hawthorne Blvd. There is a television with captions on for those that are HOH, hard of hearing. Being a hearing aide user, I sincerely appreciated this. I consider this a hidden gem in Hawthorne.

We were staying near LAX and I didn't want to drive too far, so we stumbled upon this Mexican spot in the cutest little downtown area ever. El Segundo, you are THAT b*tch! We arrived around 5:30 on a Saturday and were seated immediately (thank goodness). Our server was super duper friendly and even had multiple conversations with us throughout the meal, sharing anecdotes and talking to my tattoo artist friend about getting a tat from her LOL. We quickly ordered some chips and queso (not free) and were blown away by how creamy and tasty the queso was. The tortas were also delicious and easy to scoop a lot of cheese on to. On to the menu, they had a good variety of Mexican dishes, but the price point, man. I thought $4-5 a taco at Barrio Queen in Arizona was steep, but this place charged $7-8 for a single small taco. I would've been okay with any menu item since it's Mexican and nothing under that cuisine could be bad, but seeing each enchilada over $30, made me steer clear of the main entree dishes. I also knew I wanted to try fish tacos, so I just opted for one fish taco and one grilled taco, with a side of mashed black beans. Crazy that some black beans also were at least $5. The fish taco was nicely battered and the guacamole was ripe and creamy, but the grilled chicken taco was nothing spectacular. There was also cauliflower tacos and beef brisket tacos ordered among us. My friend who ordered the beef brisket taco rated it 7.5/10, whereas the cauliflower tacos were rated 9/10. The food also took at least 20 minutes to arrive at the table. Both sauces my tacos came with were extremely spicy so I didn't even touch those. My friends enjoyed their meals, and the side of green rice two of them got was rather tasty. Overall, our server was the best part of the experience. She really ate DOWN, whereas our food and the price point did not.
