Love Ensenada's but this location is sub par. We have two locations about a mile from our house in opposite directions and we've eaten at both many times and never been disappointed. Unfortunately, we door dashed tonight and for some reason the routed the order to this location instead of one of the ones close to us and it was a terrible experience. Fish tacos were over cooked, really dry and the fish was cut so thin it was all batter except for a little bit of mealy fish. They gave us about 2/3 of the rice and beans we typically get and because it took 55 minutes to get the order, everything was cold. If you want great fish tacos, go to Redondo or Lawndale locations. If you see it's coming from this location, cancel the order. read more

Worked nearby and came by for lunch. I had the Tostada Mango Shrimp Ceviche and at the salsa bar they had Roasted yellow peppers with delicious seasonings on them. I must have had 6 of them. It's not that I did not enjoy my food here, but it just seems a bit steep for what you get: Fish ceviche - pretty good, not amazing, does hit the spot when I have a craving for ceviche. Surf and turf burrito - This is not bad at all, but is basically a straight up carne asada and shrimp burrito. It is fairly large, and it better be for $20. While I enjoyed it, I would not get it again because it is sort of a novelty. I'm going to round up to 4 stars because everything is alright, but there are a few places in the vicinity I would prefer for slightly pricey Mexican food. read more

Always on the hunt for new fish taco spots and this one is near the top. Love the freshness of their salsas and tacos and the batter on the fish is not too thick. They have a condiment bar where you can get raw onions and peppers which I think is a must. They have battered or grilled options and I got the fish, shrimp, and a combo that has both fish and shrimp in one taco. I do prefer the fried fish over grilled but grilled is also good on certain occasions. Very fast and friendly service and a very casual ambiance. I came in for a quick bite to eat on a Friday evening. As I walked in, I was greeted and asked if I'm ready to order. I took a couple minutes as I glanced at the menu. Luckily, the place was not packed and I had my food in minutes. 2 Carne Asada Tacos 2 Baja tacos The Carne Asada was so juicy, and the tortilla was a perfect size (Parentheses it wasn't the little small tortillas) The Baja taco had shrimp in it as well as swine fish, as well as a big tortilla that was pretty close to looking like a burrito (delicious) Order came with an orange spicy Chile sauce that was perfect and not too too hot! This is a chain in the Southbay and it's pretty good. The tacos are great and the seafood is good too. It's my go to when I have a craving for tacos. The battered fish tacos are really hefty here. I came here for fish taco Wednesday and the two fish tacos was $5.98, so about $2.99 per fish taco. Prices have increased for this deal but still a really great value and you can definitely get full off of two fish tacos. The whole taco needed more sour cream and salt in general but the lemon, onions and plentiful hot sauce options at their tables helped a lot! The condiment bar was standard and the pickled onions were nice and spicy, the lemons were juicy and big. Would definitely return if I'm in the area and craving a fish taco. Service: Very quick and efficient, had my tacos within 5 minutes. Ambience: Casual seating and chill vibes. Restroom: They have one, not sure of the state of it since I stopped by for a quick lunch. Great spot to stop at after arriving at LAX. We got a couple of their Battered Fish Tacos. They came with cabbage, pico de gallo, cream and salsa. They're farily priced for $4.25 but just a tad bit small. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the tortilla got a little soggy to quickly. The staff was friendly, but they didn't hear me when I told them I wanted to dine in. So by placing my tacos in a to go container, it will mess with the crispness of the fish taco as well as making the tortilla soggier. The tacos would have definitely tasted better if they were never placed in that container, and then having to wait again to get them on a plate. Will definitely be returning though. A quick side note, the tajin type of spices they put on their chile heueros is brilliant. Definitely going to have to do that at home. read more

An easy 5/5 experience. I called in my order online, a Baja fish burrito. It wasn't ready when I got there but didn't take long after. I loved all the fix ins they gave as they were generous with the sauce inside. The burrito was massive and easily two meals for me. The price was reasonable as well. The Mexican good all looked incredibly authentic down to the free sides of seasoned chiles, limes and pickled onions which I grabbed a bag of. They also gave a side of a white creamy sauce and a super spiced homemade salsa. The burrito itself was massive, but there wasn't too much fish. Felt like a lot of cabbage and sauce. Wow, I can get lunch for under $6!? In this area?! In this economy? I ordered way too much because I assumed the portions would be smaller based on the price. I got the surf and turn taco, potato taco and, and shrimp & mango ceviche tostada, (which I took to go and ate the following day, and it was still fresher than other places same day). Surf and turf taco was great and BIG could satisfy a light-medium lunch for sure, can't go wrong with juicy shrimp and beef. The potato was in a hard shell, kinda like an empanada/samosa and was quite tasty too! Looking around, the other tables orders were filled with massive burritos and big plates. Pretty obvious why this place was full at 1:45 pm on a Thursday. Luckily food came out very fast, and as it was ready instead of all at once. One of the best shrimp burritos that I have had in the area. The shrimp tacos are also solid. I'm not sure how to assess the fish tacos because they aren't bad but I had an interesting experience because they seemed better the first time I ordered them (out of two delivery orders through DoorDash). I also accidentally received a fish and shrimp burrito in one of my delivery orders and for some reason I remember the burrito being better with only shrimp (might have something to do with eating the order 45+ minutes later through delivery instead immediately after it is ready at the restaurant which is certainly possible). If I go back, I would certainly make the shrimp burrito a priority (compared to the shrimp and fish) followed closely by the shrimp tacos. read more

I've been to Ensenada's three times now and I'll keep coming back especially on Wednesdays because their fried fish tacos are so good. I first found this spot while looking for taco Tuesday deals, I didn't think I'd find a taco spot that offered deals on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Everyone else has probably already said it, their baja fish always hits the spot. I'm not the type to order anything other than the best deal when I can get it so every time I stop by I'm getting the daily discount. I'd say the fish tacos are way better than any of the meat tacos, I'd definitely go out of my way to stop by on Wednesday but I'd give or take on a Tuesday. I tried the carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor meat tacos. Of those three, the carne asada was definitely my favorite and what I would recommend in terms of meat tacos. The side bar offers peppered peppers (literally peppers covered in red pepper), slivered onions with some small pieces of green pepper mixed in, and lemon slices. The orders usually come out fairly quickly and I even found an extra piece of fish in one of my fish tacos. I look forward to getting Ensenada's again when I'm in the area next time! read more

Ok so let me tell you a little about this spot. It is now my fourth time coming here and it has yet to disappoint me. The restaurant is very clean and the environment is just a vibe they got music playing great little spot to eat at. The cashier always has a smile on her face and very helpful. As for the food the portions are crazy I usually get breaded shrimp and fish tacos which are incredible but yesterday I decided to get the Baja burrito and it was as big as my arm very filling and delicious. Local chain known for fish tacos. I saw that the Lawndale location was on the Infatuation's list of best South Bay eats, so decided to come here with a group to test the tacos out. Came here on a Monday around 6:30pm and the food came out fairly quickly. It's a kid-friendly spot. Credit cards are accepted. There's a small shared parking lot. Indoor dining available (no outdoor options). They didn't have any tap water available, and said that you could only buy the bottled water. The tacos were decent, and the fish tacos can come grilled or fried. They also have stingray tacos available, which just tasted like fish. The salsa wasn't that spicy but they do provide peppers for a little bit of heat. Note that if you check in on Yelp, you can get 5% off your bill.
