The shoestrings were clean cooked in beef tallow though I like thicker fries I understand they are still better than average (4 stars). I would come back for the food. Absolutely above and beyond but me and my guy stopped in for a burger dinner, me noting they actually have a vegetarian options that's vegan friendly. You might miss it at first because the outside still displays the logo of an old sandwich shop but once you find the restaurant you will be happy you did. I felt the prices were in line with what burger shops charge for a soda, fries and a burger. 15 dollars for all three items is not bad. Despite the line out the door, it moved surprisingly fast. We got the Hickory burger, which comes topped with BBQ sauce and bacon jam. It was savory, full of flavor, and surprisingly filling even with just a single patty (next time I'm going for the double ). I've just pledged my allegiance to Spread Please. This is now my favorite burger in all of the South Bay. Tucked inside of Big Mike's, I pulled up and thought I was at the wrong spot. But thankfully I did not abandon ship. The menu is pretty straight forward to navigate. The bun is solid and the meat is perfectly seasoned with properly crispy edges. This is a true smash burger unlike an increasing number of burger joints attempting to ride the wave. You can dress your burger up a bunch of different ways but I went with grilled onions, pickles, tomato and lettuce (I'm a brave soul). The home sauce was very tasty and I got a few extras to dip my fries in. Speaking of fries, they are fried in beef tallow. That's all fine and well but the most important part was the fact that they survived my 15 minute drive home and were still crispy and tasty. The signage says Big Mike's but Spread please is definitely there. There was plenty of street parking and there's a decent sized parking lot next door. We were greeted right away and the friendly cashier offered to answer any questions we had. My partner and I both got the classic combo meal which is a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $15.99. We came here pretty early, around 4:15ish and there were plenty of customers coming through. Despite the flow of customers, our food came out fairly quickly. The edges of the patty were crispy and it was seasoned to perfection. The fries were shoestring, which aren't my favorite, but were plentiful and delicious. Let me start off by saying the spot itself is pretty cozy so keep that in mind if you decide to eat there , but they do have an adjacent parking lot which is convenient.
