I've just pledged my allegiance to Spread Please. This is now my favorite burger in all of the South Bay. Tucked inside of Big Mike's, I pulled up and thought I was at the wrong spot. But thankfully I did not abandon ship. The menu is pretty straight forward to navigate. The bun is solid and the meat is perfectly seasoned with properly crispy edges. This is a true smash burger unlike an increasing number of burger joints attempting to ride the wave. You can dress your burger up a bunch of different ways but I went with grilled onions, pickles, tomato and lettuce (I'm a brave soul). The home sauce was very tasty and I got a few extras to dip my fries in. Speaking of fries, they are fried in beef tallow. That's all fine and well but the most important part was the fact that they survived my 15 minute drive home and were still crispy and tasty. This was overall very enjoyable and I suspect that they'll have more locations opening up in the not so distant future. read more

This little hidden burger spot sells some delicious burgers. You might miss it at first because the outside still displays the logo of an old sandwich shop but once you find the restaurant you will be happy you did. I felt the prices were in line with what burger shops charge for a soda, fries and a burger. 15 dollars for all three items is not bad. My favorite thing was the burger cooking the beef with beed tallow is definetely the secret ingredient here. It makes the burger taste really good. The fries are ok too I liked that they were soft and you can upgrade the first to have spread and cheese on top if you wish. The cool thing about the fries is that they give you a lot too. You don't need sauce. Only thing I would return for. Regular Fries (4/5) - Solid offering but nothing memorable. Double Cheese Burger - Hickory Style (3/5) - Patty is tasty with nice crisp edges but the overall burger was too greasy and soggy. The bun is both soft and thin which doesn't stand up well. Despite the line out the door, it moved surprisingly fast. We got the Hickory burger, which comes topped with BBQ sauce and bacon jam. It was savory, full of flavor, and surprisingly filling even with just a single patty (next time I'm going for the double ). But my favorite item was the sweet potato dirty fries, loaded with cheese, house sauce, and grilled onions. Highly recommend stopping by Spread Please and taking a walk around the area afterwards. Tucked in an unsuspecting building sharing the space of Big Mike's, it was confusing at first understanding if we had found the right place or not. Nevertheless, you know you'll have made it when you see a line out the door, and deservingly so! Tried the Hickory Burger combo, paired with sweet potato fries "dirty style" (their take on animal style fries) and a drink for $18, which is a good priced combo these days. The burger itself has a sweet and savory kick with the pairing of BBQ sauce and bacon jam, and the patty itself has a great crust. To my surprise, the sweet potato fries were the home run item for me! I love me In n Out's animal style fries but this iteration clears it by a mile. Even though the line was out the door, ordering was fast and we only waited 10-15 mins at most. I also want to say Tharin, your front of house was exceptional. Not only was he super pleasant he asked questions and made great recommendations. He suggested since it was our first time to try the classic burger and the dirty fries. I ordered with two buns and added jalapeños. This young man deserves a raise he was so nice. I asked him what his name was and he immediately asked what our name was too. Very polite. Have been wanting to try this place since seeing it pop up on instragram. Kind of worth the hype, there really wasn't a crazy long line or anything, which brings me to why it's 4 stars. If the people working were busy and working hard, being ignored would make sense, but when they are laughing and joking with each other and what appeared to be coworkers out of uniform on the side, it just got a little annoying. About the food: Delicious. The fries were so thin and delicious. The hickory burger was alright, but the burger that deserves the hype is the classic, I got both in a double and my wife got a single with no cheese, she loved it too. The filthy fries were also good. Honestly this place is good, I don't know if I'd call it better than In-n-out to be honest. But it's very good. I liked that there were plenty of topping options to customize the burger. My husband went with the Hickory double and got a bit adventurous and tried a protein-style version on a lettuce "bed". This is a delicious smash burger spot! It can be a little hard to find, the sign does not say Spread Please but if you look for the yellow and red menu and signs you'll find it. There's parking out back or on the street. There was some seating inside. The staff were welcoming and friendly. My boyfriend and I ordered 2 double hickory burgers and a sweet potato fry to share. I was so eager to try my burger that I burned my entire mouth with the first bite (let it cool down a bit!) despite my burned mouth it still tasted delicious including the fries. So good! I came here for an early dinner tonight and I'm still thinking about how good their burger is. Spread please is located in a small shopping plaza by Kreation. The signage says Big Mike's but Spread please is definitely there. There was plenty of street parking and there's a decent sized parking lot next door. We were greeted right away and the friendly cashier offered to answer any questions we had. My partner and I both got the classic combo meal which is a cheeseburger with fries and a drink for $15.99. We came here pretty early, around 4:15ish and there were plenty of customers coming through. Despite the flow of customers, our food came out fairly quickly. The edges of the patty were crispy and it was seasoned to perfection. The fries were shoestring, which aren't my favorite, but were plentiful and delicious. Let me start off by saying the spot itself is pretty cozy so keep that in mind if you decide to eat there , but they do have an adjacent parking lot which is convenient. Both of us agreed that the hickory one was much better than the original, and the fries weren't quite for us - the shoestring-ness almost made them too crispy, to a point that was kinda dry. We did appreciate that the fries quantity was voluminous. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected despite not being incredibly busy (~15-20 min) so bring your patience. Service was friendly and the place was clean. What really caught us off guard was the 3% credit card surcharge on our bill. We don't have a problem with the surcharge but the lack of transparency was an issue. Most places we go to will either post something at the register to indicate that or verbally tell us when using a CC. 10/10 Hickory Burger - The smash burgers were so mouth wateringly delicious. It comes with two smashed patties and the first bite is honestly heaven. The real star of the burger is the bacon jam. They even gave me a side of it so I could add more, and it really elevated the flavors even more. The only thing was that I asked for raw sliced onions but they gave me diced cooked ones instead. 10/10 Dirty Fries - It says the burger comes with melted cheese, home sauce, and grilled onions. I think I would have preferred raw onions, but that is just me because I really love raw onions. Other than that, the fries tasted very fresh and yummy. This is a pop up shop and will be at this location for a few months. On the outside it is labeled as "Bike Mikes Phily Steaks and Subs," so do not be confused if you see that name. The new El Segundo location for Spread Please. Used to be at Two Guns coffee shop but Two Guns closed. I'm eating here at the end of March 2026 and they say they have been here around four months. Three different burger styles, one with home sauce (like a Thousand Island dressing), grilled onions , pickles and cheese. Then one with bacon jam and spicy BBQ sauce and cheese. Then one with ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheese. Plus one non-meat burger made with plantains. "Mods" are free to add and include ketchup, mayo, tomatoes , jalapeños, chopped chilies and more. Shoestring style fries that are slightly different than Big Mike's. Still good and you get generous portions. Combos are $15.49 and includes a cheeseburger , fries and a drink. Self-serve fountain drinks available plus strawberry lemonade and Mexican sodas. For the burger, I'd suggest adding a second patty. Worth a try if you're in the area. Enjoy! read more

The burgers were just as advertised and they delivered on flavor! The fries are thin and came out fresh and crispy. The house sauce was like In 'n' Out sauce, so you can't go wrong! Look. You come here for the burger and it is on point. It's kinda wet with the lettuce and mayo topping and I love how that contrasted with the crispy patty. You can double down on pattys but I was fine with the single. Outside seating was kinda dirty, didn't love the sweet potato fries and the wait was like 30 minutes but burger made it worth the while. The spot is lively, and busy, I enjoyed it. At first we had a hard time finding it because the establishment sign says "BIG MIKEY's", I'm guessing they are fairly new and are still transitioning into the new establishment. First burger I've had with its own unique flavor, for that, they should get a 10 star. Once of the few establishments that won't charge for extra spread, and the load of fries they give you for your buck is a no brainer. I'll definitely be coming back for more.
