HISTORIC DINER, GREAT FOOD. Pann's is one of the great diners of LA. It's been around since the 50s, and the Googie architecture inside is stunning. I've been to other historic diners where the vibes are there, but they've allowed quality to slide. But not Pann's! Here, the food is also high quality. My usual order is fried chicken & pancakes. Pancakes are everything I dream about--fluffy, airy, and absorbs syrup well. Fried chicken is juicy, well-seasoned, has light breading (just how I like it!) and has no greasy residue. This place is a fun classic American breakfast diner with some fun interior decor that matches theme. The rock walls were something different but I really liked that as part of the ambiance. Food was okay. Chicken was really good, and I think that is what they're mostly known for. Hashbrowns were a bit overcooked so I wasn't a fan of that. French toast was delicious. Waffle was normal, nothing jumped out about it. Porkchop was dry. But I can see this place is very popular as people were coming in regularly during our visit there. Service lacked a bit. I haven't been to Pann's since I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I loved it when my aunt worked l would take me here. Twenty plus years later, it is just as good. I heard about Pann's Restaurant from a You Tube video I saw with Charles Phoenix. To visit Pann's is like stepping back in time. Take the time to admire the architecture, inside and out, to truly capture the experience. The staff here is warm and welcoming and we were given a booth to the side where we can see everyone coming and going. It is obvious that the customers return to Pann's for more than just the food. The come for the experience. We ordered mimosas, salmon croquettes, chicken fried steak, omelettes, and biscuits. Everything in our order was first rate. I really became full on the nostalgia down to the vintage clock and tiles on the wall. To me, almost everyone dining here looked like a film star. My husband and I drove all the way from Valencia to LA on Monday 08/03/26 after a full and very hot day at Magic Mountain on Sundayņ. For some reason we had French toast and waffles on our minds and we knew that Pann's never disappoints. We checked out of the hotel and drove straight to Pann's. Another 5 star breakfast here at Pann's! We both got the Ham Steak breakfast ($23.45) which cones your choice of sides: 2 eggs, grits, hash browns, mixed berries. First time here. The place was packed with a long line. Opened since 1958. That gives you a clue the food must be good. Small parking lot so parking can be challenging. We got lucky and didn't wait long cuz we opted to sit wherever opens up first. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Chicken wings were fried to perfection and meat was juicy. Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries were one of the best ones I've had. Must try. Watermelon juice was perfectly refreshing on a hot day. Ambience was casual and bustling. Everything hit... but let's talk about the "berries" situation. The menu said berries, so naturally I'm thinking strawberries, blueberries, blackberries -- you know, the usual lineup. Sike it also came with oranges and bananas. I wasn't tripping, but the menu might want to switch up that wording a little, especially for people with allergies. What I will say -- they keep the table stocked with all the hot sauces and jellies your heart desires, and the staff is always super attentive. My experience was top notch. It lived up to the hype of an Inglewood icon. We were seated quickly, party of 2 at the bar. Seats were comfy, no back pain. And the food was excellent. That's the story of how I ended up at Pann's before my early morning flight back to Reno, NV. My wife and I both decided on checking out the Chicken and Waffles, 2 piece dark for me, and tenders for her. You can't go wrong with either of these options for sure, both of them were as tender and moist as can be, and both were completely different in flavor. The tenders seemed to almost have some type of chili or Cajun flair to them, and spread out among the ultra chewy waffle, this was a hell of a hangover cure and a great way to start the trip back home. My brother brought my wife and I here for breakfast. It was on Wednesday morning around 11 and the parking lot was full. When we walked in the restaurant it was also full but we got a table immediately which my brother says was good timing. We placed our order and believe it or not, we had our food within 10 minutes. And it arrived to the table hot and everything was cooked to perfection. My brother had the fried chicken with eggs and french toast while my wife and I shared a (4) piece chicken, (2) scrambled eggs and hash browns with toast. The eggs are usually made just how I like it (I have had some egg-trouble in the past with it being over and under cooked). However, we still come back so they're doing something right.
