My husband and I drove all the way from Valencia to LA on Monday 08/03/26 after a full and very hot day at Magic Mountain on Sundayņ. For some reason we had French toast and waffles on our minds and we knew that Pann's never disappoints. We checked out of the hotel and drove straight to Pann's. We had waffles & wings and a smile on our faces. It was worth the drive. If you want a great breakfast meal, try Pann's. The ambiance is that of a true diner. They have years of service behind them for a reason. There is a parking with limited parking available. Get there early if you can.
Food is pretty good. The fried chicken is the best but if you pick the breast it's kind of dry. I got an egg white omelette. Basic, simple, and they got it right. We were there around 10am on a Sunday and they had already run out of country fried steak. The waiter said the next closest thing would be fried pork chops. He was nice enough to bring us out some complimentary gravy. We sat outside on their patio. Service was not the best. It was slow and they constantly forgot items we asked for. They even brought out the wrong type of bread (asked for wheat but got white) but oh well, we ate it anyways.
First time here. The place was packed with a long line. Opened since 1958. That gives you a clue the food must be good. Small parking lot so parking can be challenging. We got lucky and didn't wait long cuz we opted to sit wherever opens up first. Service was prompt and food was delicious. Chicken wings were fried to perfection and meat was juicy. Lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberries were one of the best ones I've had. Must try. Watermelon juice was perfectly refreshing on a hot day. Ambience was casual and bustling. Just wish they have more bathroom stalls. It looks like one stall for men and one for women so the line for restrooms can be long. Can't wait to come back to try other items on the menu!
I haven't been to Pann's since I was a little girl. It was one of my favorite spots for breakfast. I loved it when my aunt worked l would take me here. Twenty plus years later, it is just as good. There was a little wait to be seated but it was expected. The feel of the restaurant is one of a diner. Everything was nice and clean. Now on to the food, everything was made to perfection. The food came out pretty quickly which was quite impressive. I really wish we had one of these restaurants in Nevada. Upon my next trip to Los Angeles, I will be returning.
I heard about Pann's Restaurant from a You Tube video I saw with Charles Phoenix. To visit Pann's is like stepping back in time. Take the time to admire the architecture, inside and out, to truly capture the experience. The staff here is warm and welcoming and we were given a booth to the side where we can see everyone coming and going. It is obvious that the customers return to Pann's for more than just the food. The come for the experience. We ordered mimosas, salmon croquettes, chicken fried steak, omelettes, and biscuits. Everything in our order was first rate. I really became full on the nostalgia down to the vintage clock and tiles on the wall. To me, almost everyone dining here looked like a film star. Perhaps it was because they were made to feel special and they glowed. Enjoy your visit!
Came here to grab my absolute breakfast favorite, the Denver omelette. Simple, and no frills. Arguably the best omelet in terms of keeping it simple here in L.A. What makes PANS so great? I can list of litany of things, but at the end of the day it's the ownership, loyal servers and staff and cooks that any regulars will recognize behind the counter. And while a variety of people help me out here, it's always a solid experience.
Another 5 star breakfast here at Pann's! We both got the Ham Steak breakfast ($23.45) which cones your choice of sides: 2 eggs, grits, hash browns, mixed berries. I got eggs, hash browns and fresh buttermilk biscuits & gravy (add 50 cents) and my sweetheart got this exact same meal except with french toast. Everything was amazing as usual and Pann's keeps their 5 star rating from us!
Good food. Loved the pancakes.. and the chicken wings weren't too bad. My friend enjoyed her food. This place is a staple of the community. It's definitely a fast paced place. Service was cool. The place was giving 60s- 70s vibes very groovy.
I was looking for a place for breakfast 10/10 would recommend I got the bLT on sour dough . It came with pickles on the side ( a plussss cuz I love pickles ) My husband got the 1955 breakfast -- 3 wings French toast eggs !! Also got cocktails -- don't get that mango one it was nasty lmao

This spot is a low-key gem in Inglewood -- quick, efficient, and gets you in and out without sacrificing flavor. I ordered two spicy chicken patties, hash browns, and a fruit bowl. Everything hit... but let's talk about the "berries" situation. The menu said berries, so naturally I'm thinking strawberries, blueberries, blackberries -- you know, the usual lineup. Sike it also came with oranges and bananas. I wasn't tripping, but the menu might want to switch up that wording a little, especially for people with allergies. What I will say -- they keep the table stocked with all the hot sauces and jellies your heart desires, and the staff is always super attentive. I come here pretty often, so it's actually funny this is my first time leaving a review. Anyways! If you're in the area, stop by and show them some love. P.S. They have adult beverages and parking is a little tight, so plan accordingly.
Great service, hard to find parking, food came fast too! The watermelon drink was quite disappointing, it's not like aqua fresca it was quite sweet and not refreshing as I had hoped. There's some mango in it so it has a decent flavor but I can't recommend. The salad was good but when I got the recommended vinegrette-my goodness! Oof, I couldn't eat that salad anymore. Way too much vinegar. I would try a different dressing in the future and be sure to sample the dressing first The onion rings were perfect, highly recommend! My whole group enjoyed them. The chicken tenders from my friend were very yummy, not too much breading. My chicken fried steak and the biscuit it came with were very yummy, I enjoyed it very much. My partner looked his fried chicken plate, he highly recommend getting fried chicken from here. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience and would come back. Love love love this place. Been coming here for years whenever I have a trip to LAX or whenever I fly back into town. Service is always great, music has that classic old diner feel. Food is always great. Just wish the prices were a litttttle less, it's like right at the point where it's over priced but the vibe does make it worth it overall if you're down to pay.

Wow this place is on fire. Packed! Ordered burger, side salad, onion rings, pancakes, chicken wings, hash browns. Can't wait to try everything! Service was fast and our server was really helpful and friendly The food was so good. We ate til we couldn't eat any more. A Harris Ranch burger was the best ever. The chicken wings were delicious. I was in the area after my cruise in San Pedro and we were starving for breakfast. I was underwhelmed with cruise ship food & I was looking for anything with flavor. Introduce Pann's Restaurant, a typical diner with friendly waitresses and budget friendly food. I chose the 3 chicken wings and waffles. I wasn't disappointed! The chicken was crisp and juicy with a good seasoning in the batter and the waffles were thick with a crispy outside and a soft interior. Portion sizes are pretty good and the price point is super affordable. I would definitely return again for some good, comfort food. No wait when we came on a Thursday morning. read more

We went on a Monday morning (on a holiday) and it was busy but not overwhelmingly loud. Service was speedy. I ordered a veggie eggs Benedict and the eggs were perfect! The hash browns were delicious too. I'll probably go again if I'm in the area. read more
Amazing food. All the servers are exceptional. I ordered the chicken wings and waffles. I also got a side of grits. I sat at the table top and the seating was comfortable and interactive with the servers. Everyone is friendly and hospitable. The parking can be a challenge but never difficult. read more

Wow this place is such a staple in LA, and it lives up to its hype. Service is wonderful and to the T. I personally got the chocolate malt (YUM), and the patty melt (YUM)! I came here with my family and everything was so amazing. Controversial, but the waffles are way more better here than Roscoe's. Absolutely keeping this as one of my top diners in LA! read more
It had been years since I've been here but stopped here for brunch. Get there before 11 to avoid a wait. Service was prompt, food portions were generous and the place is a Time Machine. I always drive by Pann's but never really thought to try it due to the parking, and it seemed like a bit of a wait every time I was around. Though it was a wait this time, it went by in a decent time, and we were seated once the whole party was here. I had heard about the pancakes and chicken and was excited to see what the hype was about. I went back and forth between the pancakes, waffles, and French toast, but ultimately went with the fried chicken, pancakes, and eggs. I'm so glad I chose that because seriously it was very, very good and I started regretting all the times I passed by it. Everything was fairly priced and yummy, but the one thing I can say is how small those pancakes were. Them fitting everything all on one plate with room to spare had me still hungry afterwards, despite how good it was. I would definitely come again and try something else, but I'm glad I made the stop. read more
We needed a breakfast spot before flying out of LAX, and a local recommended Pann's to us. This place has that classic old-school diner nostalgia, and it is absolutely amazing. We arrived right at opening and grabbed seats at the bar. A steady flow of people kept coming in, so I can definitely see how they get busy fast. The staff here are incredibly friendly--our waitress was very attentive and kept our coffee topped off the entire time. We decided to try the classic chicken and waffles. I ordered the four chicken strips, and my husband had the two-piece dark meat. Both were totally different and both incredible. The strips had an amazing Cajun-like seasoning and were super juicy. Paired with the sweet, chewy waffle, we left completely full and satisfied. This will definitely be a new go-to for us whenever we're flying out of LAX! read more

Had the country fried steak with a buttery biscuit and the hotcake plate with waffles, pork sausage, and eggs. Couldn't leave out that diner coffee! This is one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in the city. Like the chicken is amazing, as well as the waffles. The waffles has this butterscotch type of flavor. I mean yum yum, no cap. The chicken was juicy and succulent. A must try. Moving along with the service. The ambiance is great. Every time I go I always have a good experience. One time I meet the owner and he was very down to earth and cool. Overall I approve this joint. If you're in the city you have to stop by and get some of this good food. read more
When a random drunk guy a bar gives you recommendations for the next mornings breakfast, you take that recommendation. That's the story of how I ended up at Pann's before my early morning flight back to Reno, NV. My wife and I both decided on checking out the Chicken and Waffles, 2 piece dark for me, and tenders for her. You can't go wrong with either of these options for sure, both of them were as tender and moist as can be, and both were completely different in flavor. The tenders seemed to almost have some type of chili or Cajun flair to them, and spread out among the ultra chewy waffle, this was a hell of a hangover cure and a great way to start the trip back home. I will say I was a bit shocked by the setup of the bathroom, I haven't had to sit in a toilet with nothing but a shower curtain covering me since my days of the military... but hey, let's just file that under "added to the experience." read more

Love myself a good diner. Always feels like a touch point to the past. Certainly lots of history here. Menu is extensive and coming for breakfast we kept it simple Veggie omelette, grits, waffles of course fried chicken. Have to say food was good. Chicken fried well and the grits were made well. Such a fun spot! We were visiting LA and had just landed with some time to kill, so we decided to grab breakfast here. The employees were super friendly and the atmosphere was so fun, classic diner vibes! Even though it was busy, we were able to sit at the bar right away. I got the French toast plate with hashbrowns and bacon, and my husband had the pancake plate with hashbrowns and sausage patties. Stopped for a quick breaksat and to plan next steps after arriving at LAX. Parking lot was packed and small but don't let that intimidate you. Several cars pulled out and was able to walk right up to bar seating. Pretty traditional diner menu with multiple protein options, including veggie patties. Quick food service and attentive coffee refills. Was able to relax and enjoy with no pressure to leave quickly. Fodd tasted as expected for dinner food, biscuit was slightly sweet and my favorite. read more

My brother brought my wife and I here for breakfast. It was on Wednesday morning around 11 and the parking lot was full. When we walked in the restaurant it was also full but we got a table immediately which my brother says was good timing. We placed our order and believe it or not, we had our food within 10 minutes. And it arrived to the table hot and everything was cooked to perfection. My brother had the fried chicken with eggs and french toast while my wife and I shared a (4) piece chicken, (2) scrambled eggs and hash browns with toast. Everything was pretty good, the chicken lacked a little seasoning but it was good. I'd definitely eat here again because of the quick service, good food and atmosphere. Solid. Consistent. That's what we love! Always busy and aside from the fact that they're only open for about three hours a day, it's because the food is so satisfying. I've only had the breakfast menu items and keep coming back when I want a chicken and waffle splurge. I love that the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The eggs are usually made just how I like it (I have had some egg-trouble in the past with it being over and under cooked). However, we still come back so they're doing something right. Waffles, fluffy and cooked all the way through. Their pancakes are good too. Parking is sometimes a headache, but once you get past that and the wait (which actually isn't terrible), all is well. Service is always great. Interior is old classic diner vibe. Red booths are a staple. read more
I live nearby and always see a line, so I had to check it out. They're located by a busy intersection, but thankfully they do have their own parking lot, and my friend and I were able to snag a parking spot in there. There is usually a line outside on weekends, but it moved along rather quickly, and we didn't have to wait for more than 20 minutes I'd say. They offer several classic diner breakfast options, and I ordered a hot cake plate with French toast, has browns, and sausage patties. The food came out very quickly, and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was good, what I'd expect from a diner, and filling! Met my cousin and his wife here for breakfast after landing in LA. Parked our car and wifey says "keep the doors locked!" A mentally unstable homeless man was yelling obscenities and harassing people in the parking lot ---- welcome to LA! Haha. We waited for the guy to go away and we went into the restaurant. Entering the restaurant was like walking back in time --- it was like going into an old Bob's Big Boy or LikeLike Drive-In. 6 of us sat in a semi-circular booth table. The waitress was very nice, my cousin's wife spoke Spanish with her. The menu is pretty extensive. The food portions were generous, a slightly greasy, but not too greasy. The most memorable part of the meal was the friendly waitress. It was a good start to our LA vacation. read more
Pann's, my main go-to breakfast diner whenever I'm up in LA, never disappoints and remains a well-oiled machine after all these many years. This time I had their Primo Three Egg Omelette, loaded with well seasoned and nicely cooked sausage and pepper jack cheese. Absolutely delicious with a side of perfect grits and sourdough toast. The fried chicken here is some of the best I've ever had as well. Service doesn't skip a beat either and the coffee just kept endlessly flowing. Good old fashioned orange diner booths to boot just adds plenty of old charm. Love this place and I highly recommend popping in if you're passing by! read more
We have visited Pann's countless times over the decades, and we still return for more whenever we are in town. The service is always friendly, the food is always reliably good, and the 50s mid-century aesthetic is iconic. I love the 50s-style counter and booths. The ambiance is relaxed and a throw-back to a bygone era. It gets crowded so come early. Ordered the 2-piece fried chicken (thigh and leg) with sautéed spinach and green beans/ potatoes. Perfectly crispy but not oily, the fried chicken was simply delicious. I can't wait to get more on my next visit! read more

What are the most popular or favorite breakfast items?
Waffle or French toast combos are great. Add the all you can drink brunch option if you like mimosas or bloody mary's. Gritts are great and so are tge omlettes. But if you like good old fashioned diners, you can't go wrong no matter what!
