I wish this location delivered. The place is clean, and the staff is friendly. I ordered the Chicken Salad sandwich on Squaw bread. It's not the typical Chicken Salad sandwich; the chicken is chopped rather than shredded. The sandwich was good, but not what I expected. Next time, I will get the tuna.

I love the lettuce wraps at Mikes. Been eating at Mikes in between the downtown and slauson location for probably almost 10 years now. The combinations are endless and the meats are fantastic. The lettuce wraps are HUGE and so filling. I love the crunch of the lettuce. They're well wrapped and don't fall apart. They hold up like a regular sandwich. Mikes is a classic for a reason!

Hawt Damn this Zuzu sandwich was absolute fire!! Especially with that smoky and spicy chipotle sauce on the side. Say no more I'm a fan forever!!!! I highly recommend you try it. You will always go back to ZuZu haha!

I Love this sandwich place they have a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, etc. Service is always on point and the place is cute and trendy. Very spacious inside and fully stocked of everything, sodas, desserts, potato chips, etc. I ordered the barbecue roast beef sandwich on sqaw bread and it was amazing. This was my first time trying the roast beef and it did not disappoint. Note: Parking can be difficult at times.

I've been on an epic search for an East Coast-style deli. After living in NYC and moving back to Los Angeles, I've learned that LA folks are not exactly big sandwich people. Most establishments offer limited bread or toasting options, a single sad mustard, minimal spicy peppers, and are stingy with the meat. Enter Mike's Deli, where I finally found a true NYC bodega turkey and Swiss (my go-to); this sandwich is thicc in all the right ways. It's definitely more grab-and-go ambiance as there is no seating, but it's practical and the service was great. My sandwich was less than $14, lower than the average I've found in LA. The parking lot is unfortunately pretty small, so I sometimes park on the east side of the Home Depot lot and walk over... but don't tell anyone I said that.

If you wanna try a different sandwich shop try this place out. With numerous options from hot and cold cuts A wider variety of chips and drinks than your local gas station you will definitely find your perfect drink and chip combo with your sandwich. The meats and cheeses are displayed up front. Even though this place is a go to for a lot of people, their service is fairly quick. Even with a long line you can still get your sandwich pretty fast.

Mike's Deli is known for their sandwiches. My go to is the Mike's Special sandwich or the hot wings. The sandwich is meaty and tasty. But stick to the sandwiches or wings. Today I tried a cheeseburger and it was not something I'd order again. The burger patty was meh. It came with seasoned curly fries that were on the salty side. Their service is alway friendly and attentive. They have an enormous selection of drinks, chips and fresh desserts to choose from. You can order ahead of time online as an option.

Not surprised this place is always slammed with business, and has a very high review score. Came here frequently when worked nearby years ago, and just revisited recently - the quality and value is just superb. I got a Sweet Thing - Cold sandwich with honey turkey and honey ham, and a few veggie modifications on french bread. Large, delicious and satisfying; enjoyed it over the course of two meals. Also got some curly fries with buffalo sauce/toppings which were a little bit soggy but the sauce was so good, I didn't care. When I came here regularly, the salads were reliably fresh and delicious, with generous topping portions. It's worth the parking battle. Props to the highly efficient team for consistently creating deliciousness!

Nice sandwich shop (they also have fried chicken and wings) tucked away in a strip mall. The sandwiches are stacked. My favorite is the Zu Zu. It's got some heat. No seating and there can be lines so order ahead. There's also limited parking. But the place is worth it.

I've been coming here for years. I've only ordered their sandwiches, but I'm sure the other food is just as tasty. The parking lot sucks for the amount of traffic they receive, but the food is food enough to find a park, walk down the street a little bit and make it happen. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Even though they can get crowded, they have a good amount of staff and do their best to get you out of there as quickly as they can. This is a pick up only joint. No seating inside. Huge variety of food items, snacks, chips, beverages, whatever you desire. While the cost of everything is up, I appreciate that they still give you a good amount of meat on your sandwich. Sandwiches have consistently been a 10/10 for me!

    Hella chip options here

Just came here for the first time but it won't be my last. This deli is surprisingly much bigger than I thought. Their selection of chips and drinks rivals that of any 711 or convenience store. The staff here are friendly and incredibly hardworking, especially Miette and Mike himself. Miette, you have such a genuinely positive and helpful attitude. The sandwiches are piled high with Boar's Head meat, which is what you want in a deli sandwich. So much so that some of it fell out when I was eating. YUM. Parking can be challenging and I may park at the nearby park up the street and walk down. Come say hi to Mike and watch him doing what he loves.

They literally have all kinds of chips!

It's been awhile since my last visit here and I must say Mike's Deli still reigns has the best deli around! The sandwiches and burgers are huge, and the sides are spot on with portions often large enough to share. I have not had onion rings in years and recently tried them here. They were light, crisp, and not greasy, just the way onion rings should be. I haven't tried the loaded fries yet, but I've seen what they look like. If you can afford the calories I say eat your heart out. There are endless beverage, chip, and dessert options, it's insane. With so much inventory I'm always amazed at how they manage to keep the store so neat and organized. There are no empty spaces on the shelves, everything is always fully stocked. On my recent visit I placed an order online for pickup and even the website is appealing. You can build your own burger or hot/cold sandwich if you don't want the menu options and they have this easy, detailed check list of toppings, condiments, sauces, etc. for your to pick and choose whatever your tastebuds desire, there is something for every taste palate and they have excellent vegetarian sandwiches as well. As for the pastries, I try so hard to look the other way when I'm in the deli, but I always end up grabbing a sweet treat, like the Oreo cheesecake. They have cake slices, mini pies, bananas pudding, cookies, you name it. Lastly, The employees are always super nice, like literally, the customer service here is the absolute best. They always greet customers with a warm welcome, they are patient with orders, calm when the deli is crowded, and they go above and beyond to provide a great experience. I hope they get paid well because they deserve it.

Everyone in my  family is a foodie, we appreciate good food and we seek out places that have quality products and good customer service. We were in Hollywood for hubby's dental appointment, since it was lunchtime by the time hubby finished, we had to find a place to eat. After searching online, my daughter picked Mike's Deli. The first thing I noticed when we pulled into the parking lot was the sign for Board's Head products; my heart skipped a beat! I am a HUGE fan of Boar's Head meats and cheeses, they are always dependable for the excellent quality of their products. (Boar's Head Brand was established in the New York City area in 1905). Since this was our first time, and we were having a difficult time choosing from the tempting offerings, we relied heavily on the staff to help us. The woman taking our order was fantastic! She knew the menu inside and out. She gave us options and encouraged us to make additions and substitutions to fit our tastes. Hubby had the #1- Bold Cajun Turkey, Pepper Jack Cheese on Squaw with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, jalapenos, honey mustard & mayonnaise. Avocado optional I had the Smoked BBQ Brisket Homemade Brisket, melted smoked Gouda cheese, grilled red onions, jalapenos with honey bbq sauce& Mayo on a toasted roll for $13.99 While we waited for our order, we strolled around the looong shelves of chips (I saw many of my favorites), and the wall to wall refrigerator full of specialty beverages. The sandwiches were stuffed full of meats and fresh veggies. We were happily stuffed. Thanks to my baby girl for the delicious recommendation. I have taught you well! Our purpose is to nourish the human spirit through the love of food - Boar's Head motto

Served on rye that is double baked and has the most amazing crunch crust. For me, bread with a real crust, nothing better! They also serve other items, full breakfast and lunch menu served during their open hours, but seriously we all come here for the amazing pastrami! To start, they have a parking lot a short walk away, validate for 90 minutes, plenty of time to eat. There can be lines, but I try to time it on a weekday before the lunch crowd hits! The staff is very friendly from the host station to the servers to the cashier. Many have probably worked there for years! They all seem very happy along with the customers chowing down their pastrami! Once inside there is seating at the counter or cozy booths. The menu can be a bit overwhelming, but trust that any way you want your pastrami sandwich, you can have it! I went with a friend, who at the moment is on a pastrami only diet. He was just in NYC, eating at several well known places for pastrami, yet still craving more when he returned! We split a sandwich, with coleslaw on the side so he could build his sandwich his way. I am a purest with pastrami, nothing but mustard! The pastrami here is thick cut, tender, something to ENJOY not bury! They offer a few mustards and other condiments on the table. Yellow is what pairs best with pastrami, IMO. We also ordered Pastrami Chili Fries. Now this was my first time trying them. OMG, I went to heaven! The pastrami of course was amazing, but the gravy/chili was just as amazing. Some heat but not a lot, just perfect! We ended with a slice of carrot cake, it was okay but who comes for the dessert! My favorite thing, after the Pastrami of course, Langer's Ceam Soda from the fountain! OMG the best cream soda. They also offer Dr. Browns by the bottle. Langer's in located in MacArthur Park District. You can see the lake out the windows, nice view. It used to be a very nice part of LA, not any longer, but there is still this GEM of a deli to check out if you are visiting LA or live locally, well worth the drive. Even Hewell Hauser couldn't get enough of it! They also have been received Beard awards and are included in the Michelin Guide. Very impressive for a family owned business! For those that frequent or live on the West Side, Norm's daughter Trisha has a place called Daughter's Deli. Same excellent pastrami and rye bread! I have been there many times and seen Trisha and sometimes Norm there working hard! They are in the process of opening up in the new location soon in Sunset Plaza (former Chin Chin spot) and I plan to frequent it as soon as they open! I am up there once a month!

Be sure to check out the wine section in the back left of the market. It's extensive and absolutely incredible! This is the kind of place that keeps people coming back year after year, and it's easy to see why. Being Italian American and growing up with an Italian mother who loved feeding everyone, this was one of our favorite places to visit together. Those memories make every trip here even more special. My personal favorite is the Godmother sandwich--hands down one of the best you'll ever have. It's packed with flavor, made with quality ingredients, and it's the sandwich I find myself craving every time I come back. One of the things I love most about this place is the atmosphere. It has an energy that immediately makes you think of family. Everyone is genuinely kind, welcoming, and happy to help, making you feel right at home the moment you walk through the door. It has that warm, old-school Italian family vibe that's becoming harder and harder to find, and it's a big part of what makes this place so special.

Popped into Factor's for Sunday breakfast, and realized I'd been away too long. Why? Well, it's…read morealways been a welcoming, well-managed place with good service and even better food -- and my living a little bit of a ways away shouldn't have kept me from enjoying as much as we did. At about 10:45am, it was busy but not crazy crowded, so we were seated immediately by a happy, friendly teen who may have been a family member or just someone they've taken under their wing. Either way, the youthful greeting helps establish that family feeling that's always relaxing. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and sliced sturgeon, which is a serious treat here in Los Angeles, where hardly any place carries sturgeon. The portion was ample, the fish was fresh, moist and tasty, and it made for a very satisfying (and filling) breakfast. It should also be stated that this hard-to-find dish is always somewhat pricey, but at $25, Factor's is practically a bargain, and a full $9 CHEAPER than Art's in Studio City. My wife opted for eggs with baked salmon on the side -- again, fresh and generous, and very tasty. And again, $10 cheaper than at Art's. I mention the prices simply because eating a good deli breakfast has become more of a luxury these days, and finding a place that delivers top-notch food and service with less of a slam to the wallet makes a difference. If you haven't been to Factor's, or haven't been in a while, it's time to discover (or rediscover) a great deli serving great food. I'll be back soon for lunch... in fact, I'm checking my watch to see if it's lunchtime yet.
