Found this restaurant on Uber Eats while scrolling for lunch. First time ordering and got the Santa Monica "shortie size" and was blown away with the flavor. Bread was phenomenal and was filling for the small sandwich size. Ton of meat and flavor. Will be back for sure read more

This is my first time trying this business. I just really wanted a sandwich and I'm a big fan of sandwiches specially with those with a lot of meat so I looked on Apple Maps and I saw that this place had great reviews so I decided to try it out. It did not disappoint, Roberto O. took my order and he pretty much suggested what to get as far as a sandwich (based upon my restrictions) and the chips that would complement the sandwich. He recommended the Firebird sandwich and the Funky cushion chips (which is a mixture of salt/vinegar, mesquite BBQ, etc.). After receiving my order, I wanted to view the sandwich and take a bite. I was parked in the 15 minute parking space and one bite turned into eating half the sandwich and bag of chips in my car! I'm very picky about sandwiches and sandwich spots, but this is my new go-to! read more

I entered the sandwich shop to discover everything is served on Dutch crunch. Cool! A throwback to something I've mostly found in the Bay Area. I ordered "the melrose" which seemed to be their flagship sub. It was at the top of the menu--seemed to be basically a turkey bacon ham club type of deal with a kick. Despite there being probably at least 15 ingredients, all I could taste was mayonnaise. The entire texture? Mayo. Blech. I didn't eat the second half. Solidly OK if you like mayonnaise. Who knows. After a busy week and weekend making trips back and forth to LAX from Redondo, I had one last airport run Sunday morning. My son suggested we stop at Ghost Sando Shop before I dropped him and his fiancée off. Great idea. My wife and I shared the Kickin' Chicken: chicken, BLAST spread, chipotle adobo, melted mozzarella and sharp cheddar, topped with lettuce, pickled jalapeño, tomato, and white onion. It was delicious. The guy at the counter was friendly and welcoming, and even delivered our sandwiches to us as we sat outside at one of the shaded tables - it was pleasant if you need a spot to eat versus taking it to go. One thing I really like on a sando is shredduce. It just makes a sandwich taste better. Not sure why. Ghost got it right. It wasn't busy shortly after opening on a Sunday, which was nice. This sandwich shop is decent. I got the Santa Monica which had top round pastrami, turkey , bacon and pepper jack. It was delicious and the Dutch crunch bread was a good amount of crunch without being too hard that would rip open the roof of your mouth. I love the vegetable mix with it that included roasted peppers, pepperoncini but the Melrose spread was a tad bit much where it just oozed off the sandwich paper wrap. The sauce was good but a tad bit excessive. The staff was very nice but the food took longer than expected. Maybe that's because of them making it fresh but it seemed a tad bit longer than I expected for a non busy time I went (11am). Atmosphere is just your "fast" casual with outdoor seating which be nice when it doesn't become too cold or hot weather wise. read more

Food: I had regular sized Phoenix chicken sandwich. The shaved chicken with the Phoenix sauce was very good and the meat, cheese, topping ratio was well done. The bread is a massive plus as Dutch Crunch bread is awesome for sandwiches since you can stack a Sando and not dislocate your jaw biting into it as the bread is not overly hard to eat. it was a good solid sandwich. Solid sando, better service. A new sandwich place in El Segundo is so needed IMO. This was very newly opened when we visited. Had a good overall experience. The person who took my order was very helpful and seemed genuinely enthusiastic to be there. Ordered the "Uncle Nikki" Italian and "Tornado" bbq chicken sando. Both very good. Slight edge to the Tornado. They are a bit pricey for a sandwich, most sitting around $15 for a full size. Plus they charge for any extra or added condiments (.75 I think). My husband didn't love that... he said it felt cheap to charge almost a dollar for pickles when most sandwich shops include them already. I thought it was fine, plus that sandwiches didn't even need extras. One good thing to know...they only have one bread...and it's Dutch Crunch! I found that odd to not have a more traditional bread choice, but that said...I hope you still try it! That bread was delicious, slightly sweet and doughy. Both of my kids also ate it well. They also don't have any great options for kids. I love love the idea of Ghost Sando! SLANGIN SANDOS!! Whole idea is awesome I couldn't choose between pastrami mami or the Italian sandwich - forgot name apologies.... Next time I want to try that one and the tuna. Their chips are fire and getting the shorty was just enough to get me full. I dined in for lunch and got to see the chaos during lunchtime. I'll be honest... they may need to find a better system that works for them. A few points I noticed -customers are not being greeted at walk-in. Cashier was helping with front and packing food/calling out orders. Great! But better communication may be helpful for those just walking in. -waited a bit for my sandwich, I understand busy lunchtime. But wasn't that crazy busy.... -I asked for pickles and had to wait.. they forgot so I had to go back and ask again. I felt like I was bothering asking though. I can see the stress in their faces. Pretty tasty sandwich indeed. This place reminds me of Ike's more than the Jersey Mike's/deli type of sandwich shop. Seems that Dutch crunch is a novelty to LA foodies although it is a pretty common sandwich bread. For those who know, there are better Dutch crunches out there to begin with. I got the Santa Monica and found the pastrami and turkey to be good, but the sandwich is too reliant on the sauce. $18 for a large that isn't that large is on the higher side. Stopped by Ghost Sando Shop in El Segundo and ordered the Shortie Melrose with no pepperoncini along with a large tuna sandwich and a southern peach lemonade. The Shortie Melrose had great flavor even without the pepperoncini. The ingredients were fresh and the bread held everything together without getting messy. The sauce had a nice kick to it. Not overpowering. Just right. The large tuna was solid too with a clean taste and a good balance of seasoning and texture. Both sandwiches were on Dutch Crutch bread. Delicious. Boo! Spooky good sandos at this new spot in El Segundo! Halloween is just around the corner and this is the perfect place for some scary good sandwiches! I recently got to try one of their breakfast sandwiches and I can say I'm spooked with how hauntingly good their sandwiches are. I got to try their "Wrong Side of the Bed" breakfast sandwich. This sandwich consisted of pastrami, egg and mustard sharp cheddar all smothered with a sun dried tomato spread and avocado spread in a Dutch crunch bread. The sandwich was huge! In the mood for a sammich, on the rescue was Yelp once more to try new digs. And boom, this place popped up and couldn't be more perfect: I was a bit strapped for time, not too far from work, wanted to try a new place, etc. A pastrami is usually my go to, but my taste buds were pulling for me to try the Uncle Nikki instead. Since it's a first time try, I went for a small. VERDICT: Do not let its size fool you; it's not that small. Soon as I unwrapped it, I knew I couldn't finish it in one sitting. They were generous with the filling. Vege were fresh, flavor of the proteins were evident, and that bread was not only delish, it held all the ingredients well. And as a bonus? They cut it in half. The only snag, I felt, was the house Italian was a bit strong. I'd likely ask to make this lighter next time. FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 3. PARKING: Shared with other spots. It's ok. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid sandwich place but the prices suggest it's more premium and I didn't taste it. I got a pastrami with double meat. It was a fair amount of meat but it wasnt as much as I would have thought. I would definitely be disappointed with half that amount. The Dutch crunch bread sounds amazing but in reality I didn't taste anything special about it. In fact, even though I ate it there, I thought it had already started to get a little soggy. If it were to-go I can only imagine how much worse it would be. Taste-wise it's not bad. I would eat it again if it was in front of me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it and I dont crave it or put it above any of the other sandwich shops out there - especially for the price point. Had to try the famous Melrose sando I keep hearing about, and yes it was well worth the drive and the calories. The Boar's Head deli meat is a quality contribution. And that dutch crunch bread was absolutely everything! This location was very clean and spacious, with ample seating inside and outside. i got a thing for that dutch crunch bread!!! it is sooo good. the crunch is perfection. there is a sammie place that is my go to in OC, but now that ik there is a shop closer to me that has this on hand.. im in!! ghost sando shop is located in chargers commons, nestled inbtw the chargers team store and tacomasa their menu is simple yet expansive, there are so many different combos if you build your own!! lol since it was my first visit, i literally wanted to try 4 different sandwiches! but i ended up getting the better and sub'ing the roast beef for black forest ham!! all their meats are sliced, so that was good to know they offer fun sauces, cold and hot sandos and breakfast sandos. there are two sizes regular "shortie" which is 6" and large which is 8". the extra large is on the 8" bread but its 1.5x more meat and cheese my sammie was sooo delicious!!! i def inhaled that. will def be back to try out a cold sandwich or the hot sandwich, the melrose or the terminator! service was great! very clean restaurant. i had multiple questions so shoutout to the guy for being patient! you can dine inside or out and plenty of parking! read more

I passed this place picking up my daughter from school and decided to give it a try. When I walked in to my surprise there was no line (lucky me). Decided to uber eats Ghost Sando after seeing it on the Ballard show! We got their uncle Nikki and tornado sandwiches. When we got them, it was well packaged and well prepared. Lots of veggies and meats in them. It had good flavor and wasn't overly powered by sauce.
