I almost ghosted this place! Why? Prices are daunting. Why not? There was an incredible deal on Postmates, where if you buy a behemoth of a Sando, you get one free. But you have to buy the one on offer, I believe it's called the "Melrose" - a sandwich I wouldn't have ordered on my own, and that would have been a MISTAKE! It was beyond delicious. Flavor combinations need not be tampered with. If you're feeling up for a decadent sandwich, remember the price maters - but for good reason, very much tasty approved!

I love love the idea of Ghost Sando! SLANGIN SANDOS!! Whole idea is awesome I couldn't choose between pastrami mami or the Italian sandwich - forgot name apologies.... Next time I want to try that one and the tuna. Their chips are fire and getting the shorty was just enough to get me full. I dined in for lunch and got to see the chaos during lunchtime. I'll be honest... they may need to find a better system that works for them. A few points I noticed -customers are not being greeted at walk-in. Cashier was helping with front and packing food/calling out orders. Great! But better communication may be helpful for those just walking in. -waited a bit for my sandwich, I understand busy lunchtime. But wasn't that crazy busy.... -I asked for pickles and had to wait.. they forgot so I had to go back and ask again. I felt like I was bothering asking though. I can see the stress in their faces. Maybe just work on a little more customer service Other than that I will return and try more sandwiches and also will be ordering catering service for my company really soon!

First time trying this spot out. We ordered the Uncle Nikki in size large which is 8 inch. I didn't think that would be enough to satiate my husband and me but the sandwich was heavy and hefty. The cashier working was sooo helpful and friendly and knowledgeable. I wish I got his name. Airy interior with some seating available. Sandwich was delicious! So flavorful and I loved the crunch on the bread.

Ubereats late lunch order from Ghost Sando Shop. About to get ghosted eating THE MELROSE, cutting off all communication- Talk about a sandwich coma- Dutch Crunch Roll- bread equates to ultimate softness with a heavy layer of crunch on top- Melrose spread covered every inch of bread--opt out of ham and bacon, loaded with roasted turkey, cheese, American of course and HOUSE slaw tossed with additional Melrose Spread!! This is a hearty, good sandwich seasoned perfectly!!! This sandwich should be noted in the SANDWICH Hall of Fame... so good!!!

Stopped by Ghost Sando Shop in El Segundo and ordered the Shortie Melrose with no pepperoncini along with a large tuna sandwich and a southern peach lemonade. The Shortie Melrose had great flavor even without the pepperoncini. The ingredients were fresh and the bread held everything together without getting messy. The sauce had a nice kick to it. Not overpowering. Just right. The large tuna was solid too with a clean taste and a good balance of seasoning and texture. Both sandwiches were on Dutch Crutch bread. Delicious. The southern peach lemonade was sweet and refreshing and paired well with both sandwiches. Service was quick and the place has a simple easygoing vibe. Highly recommend.

Boo! Spooky good sandos at this new spot in El Segundo! Halloween is just around the corner and this is the perfect place for some scary good sandwiches! I recently got to try one of their breakfast sandwiches and I can say I'm spooked with how hauntingly good their sandwiches are. I got to try their "Wrong Side of the Bed" breakfast sandwich. This sandwich consisted of pastrami, egg and mustard sharp cheddar all smothered with a sun dried tomato spread and avocado spread in a Dutch crunch bread. The sandwich was huge! I loved the soft and chewy Dutch crunch bread, the tender pastrami and the flavorful sun dried tomato spread and avocado spread. There's definitely no getting up on the wrong side of the bed truth with this one! It's more like I got up on the right side to get this good of a sandwich! Ghost Sando Shop is the spot to go for some spooky good sandwiches! Don't be scared- go visit!

In the mood for a sammich, on the rescue was Yelp once more to try new digs. And boom, this place popped up and couldn't be more perfect: I was a bit strapped for time, not too far from work, wanted to try a new place, etc. A pastrami is usually my go to, but my taste buds were pulling for me to try the Uncle Nikki instead. Since it's a first time try, I went for a small. VERDICT: Do not let its size fool you; it's not that small. Soon as I unwrapped it, I knew I couldn't finish it in one sitting. They were generous with the filling. Vege were fresh, flavor of the proteins were evident, and that bread was not only delish, it held all the ingredients well. And as a bonus? They cut it in half. The only snag, I felt, was the house Italian was a bit strong. I'd likely ask to make this lighter next time. FOOD: 3.5. SERVICE: 4. VALUE: 3. PARKING: Shared with other spots. Gets busy during the lunch rush, but spots open up quickly. OVERALL: 3.5. Good first run. Will return to try the pastrami next time.

Santa Monica (regular size) & The Club (large size)

3.5 stars Got the Santa Monica & The Club sandwiches Both were good in flavor but a little pricey. About $31 (not including tip) for two sandwiches with one large & one regular size. The regular sandwich is a smaller than expected

Pastrami with double meat
Bruce L.

It's ok. Don't get me wrong, it's a solid sandwich place but the prices suggest it's more premium and I didn't taste it. I got a pastrami with double meat. It was a fair amount of meat but it wasnt as much as I would have thought. I would definitely be disappointed with half that amount. The Dutch crunch bread sounds amazing but in reality I didn't taste anything special about it. In fact, even though I ate it there, I thought it had already started to get a little soggy. If it were to-go I can only imagine how much worse it would be. Taste-wise it's not bad. I would eat it again if it was in front of me, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it and I dont crave it or put it above any of the other sandwich shops out there - especially for the price point. Not sure if I just had the wrong sandwich but I dont get it.

The Melrose

First time at this location and I was blown away by The Melrose Sando. The toasted Dutch Crunch was perfectly crisp, layered with their signature Melrose spread, Black Forest Ham, roasted turkey, thick-cut bacon, and melted white American cheese. The slaw added the perfect crunch and kick--lettuce, red onion, pepperoncini, and tomato all tossed in that Melrose magic. I leveled it up with jalapeños and a hit of Blast Sauce... next level flavor. I've tried their Fairfax location before, but honestly this one was way better--the sandwich itself was on point and the customer service stood out big time. The girl at the counter helped me choose the perfect sandwich and made the experience even better.

The Better

THE GOAT HAS LANDED. If you don't know get to know about it. The South Bay finally has Dutch. Ghost is and has been the best sandwich in LA, and now locations are popping up all over town. I can't believe we got one and I'm so grateful. If you've had an SF sandwich, this is close as you get in Southern Cali, and it's pretty damn close. It's so damn good. The bread soft, proper density, excellent meat to sandwich ratio, primo fixins, and all the meat taste. I got The Better this time but everything bangs, you really cannot go wrong. Melrose and Mami are my faves. Thank you for bringing Ghost to me my heroes

Had to try the famous Melrose sando I keep hearing about, and yes it was well worth the drive and the calories. The Boar's Head deli meat is a quality contribution. And that dutch crunch bread was absolutely everything! This location was very clean and spacious, with ample seating inside and outside. Service was friendly and efficient to get me my shortie Melrose quickly. The only thing is the price. It is a hefty sandwich, but still a bit pricey at $13 for a 6" shortie.

It wasn't bad. I definitely wish there was way more flavor for the price point and it being a premium sub... I don't feel it's worth it .

I didn't even need to walk all the way inside and I knew this was going to be "the place." They consistently forget major components like condiments or vegetables that are clearly listed in the sandwich description. Lately I've had to remind them or ask for extras just to get what is supposed to come standard. Today it happened again. I asked for oil and vinegar and received a dry, inedible sandwich. When I called to explain that this has happened multiple times, the person I spoke with essentially called me a liar, insisting it had been added, despite the fact that there was no oil on any of the wrappers. When I asked how they planned to make it right, especially given the astronomical prices they charge for sandwiches, I was told they might give me extra oil and vinegar next time and possibly a bag of chips. Nice customer service. Great idea to throw digs at loyal customers. Super smart. The new ownership the past few years is disappointing. It's unfortunate because we live just a few blocks away and come here often. When I order something, I expect to receive what I ordered and I certainly do not expect to be talked down to when there is a mistake on the deli's part. We have spent so much money there over the years but no more. PS they are always super pushy with asking for a tip when you pick up your sandwich too and most of the staff become irritated when you press the "no button" and give you a weird attitude....talk about an environment that's the opposite of your friendly neighborhood grocery store. They should be called greedy's not granny's!
