I heard about this place from my old job. We used to order catering from the location in Hermosa Beach a few times. Its sad to say that I forgot what I used to order, but I remember the food being so good. I'm glad they opened this new location that is closer to my new job. It's located right next to the Mobil gas station and it has a fairly small parking lot. I came here at the top of the hour for lunch and it wasn't packed so that was good. I don't remember ever trying the pasta so I ordered the Bowtie Chicken Alfredo Pasta. I got a regular bowl and a regular fountain drink. It also comes with garlic bread on the side and it was good! It tasted like there was enough flavor so that was satisfying to me. I'm glad I have had the opportunity to come back here and try this place again after not having it in a very long time. I was so excited to find out you were coming closer!! I was bummed you don't serve breakfast all day but I happened to walk up and the owners son ,Mickey spoke to my husband and I and explained the grill gets really messy from the eggs. He was really nice and really seemed to love and have pride for what he does. My husband and I both ordered the beef steak and cheese and it was really good. The pizza sauce had a little bit of tartness. The cheese was gooey. My only criticism would be that the sandwich bread was a little too chewy for my taste. MI shares a lot with a Mobil gas station. Despite being listed as grilled, the chicken was not grilled, it was overcooked and had an unpleasant smell. Additionally, the bread was far too thick, and there was barely any avocado. We stopped by Mickey's Deli for the grand opening of their second location. We were so excited to go because we had seen the signage and had been waiting for the new location to open. We arrived about an hour early, and there was already a line. It was so nice to see everyone coming out to support them. Before we arrived, we were not sure if there would be parking or an eating area, but there was plenty of parking in the lot, and they have a very nice outdoor eating area with shade. The line moved quickly, and everyone working there was warm and welcoming. The pizza was amazing, as always. We got a cheese pizza and two pepperoni pizzas. The Redondo Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, with breaded chicken, mozzarella, arugula, tomatoes, pesto aioli, and balsamic, had such a thoughtful blend of flavors and textures. I would've liked a little bit more Italian seasoning on it. I think it is worth visiting because Mickey's has a legacy in the south Bay (I think the originals in Hermosa Beach ) and they are famous for their tasty Italian food, so I want to go back and try a different sandwich or maybe a pizza. This is the first time I'm giving a positive review without tasting any food! I ordered 3 slices of pizza which looked very good!! I waited patiently as I saw a few customers come and go! I asked a worker about my order and she politely said it will be ready in another 5 minutes! There was an issue with my order. I am a sucker for subs. As soon as this place opened up near my job, I've been wanting to go check it out. Today was the day! I ordered the Turkey Deluxe and my oh my, I am a regular now. The sandwich was so fresh! Lasted me the whole day! I purchased for pick up online. When I came in, the restaurant was clean and the meals they had prepped (pizza, pasta salads) looked sooo appetizing. If I wasn't in a rush, I would've probably purchased way more. I'll be coming in regularly since they're right by my job. I am so happy with their location. Truthfully speaking, I'm not sure if you're allowed to park in the gas station next door. I parked on the street. I'm not sure if they have their own lot. That may be an issue for some customers bc street parking is on Artesia and can be pretty busy there.
