I loved this place. I went for Sunday brunch, and parking was easy. To my surprise, there were only a couple of other tables. The space has a warm, comfortable vibe and the menu reads like a classic diner -- and I'll take that on any day. Our servers were friendly, kept our coffee topped off, and checked in to let us know our food would be out in just a few minutes. Service felt relaxed but attentive. I had the club sandwich, and my partner ordered the chicken and waffles. Both were solid. My club was exactly what you want from a classic diner sandwich -- stacked high, fresh, and satisfying -- and the fries were great. Portions were generous and the prices were reasonable, especially for brunch. The only thing that surprised me was that it wasn't busier. Maybe it's not trendy -- but it's good. And that's what actually matters.

Had never been to Dinah's when it was still at its now closed location but wanted to support them in their "new" location since I love diner type food and settings. I ended up getting the chicken plate with dark meat and a side of fries and corn. The chicken was crispy and reminded me of a typical diner fried chicken, a perfect comfort food for a hard day. I won't lie, the chicken could have been a little hotter but it was still delicious! Our server was also very attentive and gave us great service throughout our visit. The interior was a nice, cozy set-up that definitely made me feel like I was in a "comfort kitchen"- so along with comfort food, I just felt comfortable all together. We did go in a less busy time, so I'm not sure how it would be if it's super busy but we had really no complaints! One thing I will mention, while we knew where the entrance was since we go to this little shopping center often and live in the area, it might be good to have some more lights or signs showing the spot is open or where to go. At night we noticed it was pretty hard to even spot, and we would hate for another great spot like Dinah's to go under because of that. Can't wait to come back!

Went to Dinah's for the first time because my cousin wanted some waffles and always wanted to try it out for myself. It was an average experience. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the best I've ever had. The baked pancake looked good but honestly, I'd probably avoid getting it and saving your 19-22 dollars on it. I had the biscuits and gravy and it felt like there wasn't any effort put into the dish. My cousin had the regular chicken and waffles and the waffle was amazing, but the chicken seemed to be a little undercooked on the inside. Our waiter was absolutely incredible though! We weren't trying to be difficult and you could tell she knew that when we asked for different chicken and she accommodated us so well so truly thank you for that! Service was great, still tipped our 20% because of such, but the food was just average in my opinion. Would I come back again, probably not, but again, the location is good, service is amazing, and maybe just one of those one and done places to cross off your LA dining list experience.

We love Dinah's and we've been going there for years. This was our first time at the new location and everyone made us feel so welcome and thanked us for coming. The service is outstanding and the ambience is old-school diner with a little bit of an update. Food was very good. We had the chicken and waffles and it was delicious. We also had the fried chicken, all dark meat, with a baked potato. Everything was well cooked and if you know, you know, Dinah's has great fried chicken. We will definitely be back.

Hadn't been to Dinah's in years. Didn't know this location existed. And when a friend suggested Dinah's - I told her it's shut down as I drive by the "old" location off Sepulveda every so often. She gave direction and I was on my way. It's in a plaza that offers parking, but can be tough at times. I've never had an issue but I know people who have. It's free though and if needed, you can park on the street. Off Washington, it's metered. Off the side street behind the plaza, no meters but there may be permit restrictions. Read the signs. I haven't needed to park there so ... Walked in, immediately greeted and was ushered to the table where my friend was waiting. Service was great - attentive, friendly, personable and funny. Really liked him - but as usual, I don't remember his name. Felt like a burger - wasn't feeling chicken. See pics. It wasn't bad, but also not mind blowing. I enjoyed it - ate it all up including the sides - bread, soup washing it down with a nice cold beer. I don't recall the former place having beer but this one does! I like the new place. It was open, there's outdoor seating and add the great service and adult beverages ... I'll be baaack.

The apple pancake is DELICIOUS!!!

50 years ago my aunt took my sister and I to Dinah's when it was in Inglewood. Today, I took my youngest son to their new location in Culver City and it did not disappoint. We ordered all of my favorites so he could taste a little of my childhood. We had the German Apple Pancake, the Dutch pancake, and the senior fried chicken meal with creamed spinach and mashed potatoes with gravy. Although the ambiance is newer with an apparent emphasis on a bar, but the food is delicious as ever. The service was fantastic and the food was just as I remembered it. This should definitely be a destination next time you've in Los Angeles!

We had a party of 6. We got seated right away. They weren't busy at all. Four people got the chicken dinner, they really liked it. My husband got a breakfast plate, biscuits and gravy plate, he asked for bacon and got sausage instead. He didn't like the biscuits at all and he said the gravy was okay but that is the one thing he barely ate lol. He didn't like the pancakes, eggs, and sausage. I had s bloody mary and sweet potato fries. My bloody mary didn't have that much flavor to it , my fries were good. Moral of the story: get the chicken and water, lol. Service was good.

We were quite impressed with the new Dinah. While the inside was smaller, they also have a large outdoor seating area. With the weather in Culver City always pleasant I imagine that seating is popular. We opted to eat inside anyway. I was tempted to try their chicken and pancakes but finally decided on my old standby, Corned Beef Hash & Eggs. Turned out I could get it with pancakes instead of hash browns, so I still got syrup with my food. My hash was good, not great, the 3 pancakes large. I was satisfied with my food, service was excellent, and the wall with mismatched boards was a good look. No trouble parking for our early arrival. Our server told us he was happy to see us, which I seldom hear and it is nice to feel appreciated. This is a locally owned restaurant. When you finish you pay up front.

The Dinah's we used to go to closed. We had stopped going years ago because the food was always hit or miss, usually miss. We decided to give this place and chance and it was just not even close to good. The chicken was crispy in any way, if I did not know better I would think they made a batch and just let it sit out. The pieces are small. There is not one thing I can say good about it. The rolls, which used to be a high point were hard as little rocks and had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were watery. The gravy was okay. We ordered to go, but we saw the place and it did not have one comfortable seat. It was not super clean. The service was so very slow. It is really sad. When FFC is better you know there is a problem.

The tradition of delicious food continues at Dinah's Comfort Kitchen is Culver City. I am happy to report their fried chicken dinners, wonderful breakfast dishes, burgers, steaks, soups and salads including the Cole slaw with pineapple are available to be enjoyed. Additionally there is a wide selection of craft beers and wine being served. When you are hungry for Dinah's famous fried chicken, gourmet pancakes, a meaty burger, fish and chips, or bountiful salad go visit Fernando and the rest of the great crew at Dinah's Comfort Kitchen.

It was sad when Dinah was closing at their original location, not knowing they were opening a new one or not. Well, here's their new location with beautiful decor . I love their big open patio space. Perfect for event (may ask the owner if they are open to host a social mahjong night there, Marlene /Jazmine if you're reading this) Walked in and love the high ceilings, warm lights and big tables. My friend and I sat there and had great time catching up in their comfy booth. Ok food wise. One reason we ended up eating there instead of ramen next door was we saw their chicken and waffle poster. I ordered the chicken and French toast plate. It was big portion because it also came with 3 eggs. The friend chicken was a bit disappointing to me because I was expecting really crunchy chicken, but it just wasn't that. It looked like fried chicken but when I bit into it, it lacked crispiness and flavor. The French toast was good. Service was great, attentive staff. It is a good place to meet up and share a meal with friends. I would go back and try their other dishes.

I stood at the counter for quite awhile, while a line formed behind me, before someone nudged the girl to take orders. You know when you can tell that someone is actively ignoring you? She was doing "busy work" that clearly was not something that needed to be done. Stacking stacks that don't need to be stacked. The food was not great. The chicken didn't have much flavor, and the wing not much meat. The thigh was juicy. There were plenty of medium thick fries, a few pickle slices and a biscuit. No butter for the biscuit. The mac n cheese was unfortunately inedible. I didn't finish it and threw part of it out, and if you know me, no cheese goes uneaten. Will I be back? No. Bonus: Ample patio seating. Bogus: flavorless food, mediocre service, same price whether you order dark meat vs white meat.

It's in a little plaza with shared parking so you just have to find some parking in the back. They have a great range of options on the menu and the price is absolutely fair for the amount of food you get + the current market. This restaurant is also halal! Huge plus. I always get the shrimp and chicken combo which NEVER disappoints. The food is ready is about 15 minutes and if you call ahead of time they can have it ready by the time you show up which is great. Majority of the frying and cooking happens behind the register so you see everything, they are very clean and I've see the employees switching gloves multiple times as they move around.
