Then I noticed they had a vegan section on the menu so I tried it out. I got the veggie frittata and cafe de olla. Both were fantastic. The ingredients were obviously fresh (no skunkiness or unsettling textures ), the addition of tomato jam was brilliant, and the coffee was so good I didn't have to add sugar to hide the flavor. They didn't over-/under- season or roast the vegetables. Even their homemade ketchup was great: a nice tomatoey flavor. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance was nice. We drive by this place every time we go to Costco so we finally decided to give this place a try. It's basically a Mexican American fusion breakfast place that's specializes in cage free eggs. We got the strawberry cheesecake pancakes, chilaquiles, side of chicken fennel sausage, and the breakfast jambalaya. The chilaquiles were a little on the bland side and they nickel and dime you for choice of meat. The chicken sausage tasted like it came from Costco. The pancakes and jambalaya were ok but nothing extraordinary. Their coffee at least was better than ihop's. They provided excellent customer service and delicious food. As soon as we arrived we were seated immediately. There were plenty of customers at Breakfast Republic however there are many available tables and seats for dining. You can dine inside our outside. We preferred to dine inside. During our brunch we ordered, Bae Mac with Jurassic Pork, California Breakfast Burrito, BR Sammie and Churro Pancake and Orange Juice. All meals we ordered were plentiful and fulfilling. Bae Mac with Jurassic Pork was flavorful and plentiful. California Breakfast Burrito was humongous with rice and black beans while the BR Sammie's potatoes were yummy and cooked right as the potatoes went over cooked. The Churro Pancake was the icing on top as it really was plentiful and yet not too sweet. It was a great combination of churro, pancakes and blueberries. I met a friend here for a late lunch on a Sunday. We arrived around 1:30 PM and had no problem getting a table, but I hear there is a wait during peak hours! There is also free parking underground in the building! We started by splitting a bottle of Brut ($28) which came with 2 juices to mix. I'd probably skip the guava next time... it came as a super thick puree that didn't mix into the bubbly, even with stirring. But they offered orange, cranberry, grapefruit, lychee, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting! The food menu and drink menus were great, with almost an overwhelming number of options. I decided on the shrimp and ricotta frittata, my friend ordered the jambalaya, and we split the house-baked coffee cake. You can upgrade anything with bacon to include Jurassic Pork (thick-cut bacon cooked in brown sugar) so why not? Everything was beautifully presented and tasted delicious, and the portions were large. I loved the little details on everything... egg-shaped salt and pepper shakers and cute little chickens on my side dish of sour cream. We also noticed that the servers were all super nice, attentive, and they just seemed to enjoy working there and to be having fun. One of them recommended bars we could go to after they closed, and we saw a group of them hanging out at the same bar. We just picked up on good vibes overall. Perfect casual spot for breakfast/lunch any day of the week. I need to give me a place to meet my friend and this place had plenty of space inside. ( they also have a lot of nice seating outside). I actually found a parking spot right in front that gives you one hour free parking. I think there's also some public garages nearby that might give you 90 minutes free parking. All the food was excellent, the trio of French toast was nice way to try different ones, surprisingly the Presley was my favorite. I thought I would've liked the s'mores better and I could've skipped that one. And the shrimp and crab Benedict was good, but I'd probably go for the normal Benedict next time or a regular American breakfast. I felt like the crabcakes with the sauce. I really just wanted to eat them separate. There was a lot of great flavor going on with both. And the potatoes were actually really, really good! In the land of good brunches that is Culver City, this place is pretty good. My friends and I have come here twice. It definitely gets crowded on Sundays. Luckily we've never had to wait more than 30 minutes. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. I like the variety of breakfast options on their menu. Tried this place for the first time. We went for brunch. It's a nice little spot. Theres free parking in the building and seating inside as well as outside. I ordered the Bae Mac with scrambled eggs, jack cheese and Jurassic Pork. The Jurassic Pork was salty/sweet but I would probably have it again but by itself. I want to taste more of the Jurassic Pork lol. It mixed well with the cheesy mac n cheese. Maybe too well lol. The Bae Mac was very cheesy, especially with the Jack cheese. I ordered the fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was delicious. For breakfast, I got the American, three eggs, house potatoes, bread, and your choice of sausage or bacon. I went with the chicken fennel-Asiago sausage and it was really good. We asked about the pancake options and were told we could substitute them for the bread, but didn't realize there would be an extra charge, so a little more transparency there would help. Service was friendly, though it felt a bit rushed even though it wasn't too busy. The atmosphere is welcoming and it's a great spot if you're craving breakfast. Parking can be tricky. Street parking is limited, but the Culver Garage about two blocks away offers the first hour free. Really can't go wrong with this place if you have visitors in the area looking to satisfy their severely sweet tooth. I used to be a huge fan of Breakfast Republic. I went every Sunday while in college. Decided to revisit and was severely disappointed. Service - 1/5 Food - 2/5 Ambiance 2/5 We ordered a flight of pancakes and French toast, the burrito, and the steak and eggs. The steak and eggs looked like pork. It didn't have that dark brown color you see in ALL the pictures on yelp. I've gotten it maybe 16 times before and never once has it been pale brown. It also didn't taste right. It was either old or something else entirely. We sent it back. The burrito was great, but the rice and beans were cold. The flight was good. Their pancakes and French toast are always a great sweet option. Service was really bad. Food served, no utensils. Water never refilled. Server had a blank stare and seemed inconvenienced when we ordered. When we mentioned we didn't like the steak, after a singular bite, she just looked at us. I asked if we could get something else and just received a blank look back. From sheer awkwardness we asked her to just remove it from the table to get some sort of response. It was weird and I've never had service like this before. We weren't charged for the steak, luckily, but her reaction (or lack thereof?) and lack of any follow up left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish i took a picture of the steak, but we were so taken aback it didn't cross our minds. It literally looked like pork. Caramel latte was not good. Orange juice was fine.
