My go to coffee place in downtown Culver City. The menu and staff have changed quite a bit in the past few years, but the service, food and coffee have remained consistently solid. My go to coffee is an oat milk latte, and depending on how hungry I am, either the protein brekkie or one of their burritos (love both homemade salsa that come with them). Pastries and bagels are from Jyan Isaac bread, and I particularly like the plain croissant. I was walking our pup and stopped in for breakfast. Service was friendly. Food was just OK probably wouldn't come again. The macho was OK. The atmosphere was really nice. Sat outside with the pup. Lots of people nice to have an outside seating area. Maybe it was just what we got that's why I feel like the food was just OK. First of all. Shout out to the amazing manager Austin! He provided the best service and makes everyone feel so welcome even at the early and barely waking up hours of 7am. The coffee shop itself is located within the one building that is surrounded by other great eats, but this coffee shop has such a nice aesthetic and relaxing ambiance. It also serves DELICIOUS food and drinks. Most coffee shops in this area don't serve quality food, but if you want a spot that does it all I suggest going here! Best lox I've had at any coffee shop and I cannot wait to try the other food next! Compared to the Santa Monica outlet, the Culver City one was surely my pick. Huge open space even with nicely shaded patio in front. The contemporary design got me hooked and the fact that the indoor space was so chilly made it perfect for summer days. Their Iced Almond Macadamia Latte intrigued me especially since I mostly went plant based alternative for my latte, also knowing it's apparently very popular. The default seemed to be unsweetened as when I ordered I was asked if I wanna get it 'Sweety', which was their jargon for sweetened (throw me away at first). I got it sweetened but I'd say the sweetness was kinda subtle; I might even prefer slightly more. Almost forgot to mention, they did serve it hot which I tried and was fond of. read more

I had a meeting at the Go Get Em Tiger in Culver City, a place I would otherwise never visit, as I don't really drink coffee and have a Go Get Em Tiger much closer to home. This location was nice, much bigger than the one on Larchmont, with a bright, colorful look. Parking sucked, but there were a bunch of one-hour spots right in front that opened up with some regularity. I got one of those and just gambled that I wouldn't get a ticket if the meeting ran long. Thankfully, I bet correct. Service was fast and friendly. I got an ice coffee and it was strong and tasty. I am very much not an expert, but it seemed like good coffee to me. We needed a quiet place for three of us to sit and chat, and we found it in the lobby of the building, which had what looked like an indoor version of the Culver Steps, with cushions to make them comfortable. We hung out for a while and it felt easy and pleasant. I don't know when I'd come back here, but if you're a coffee drinker in Culver City, you should definitely hit up Go Get Em Tiger. It's a nice chain that does good coffee and some coffee-adjacent snacks and beverages. Park right in front if you aren't planning to linger. read more

The store interior was beautiful and sunny, a perfect peaceful study spot. I ordered the Iced Honey Matcha Latte. I wanted to love it, but I just didn't. The matcha taste was so faint, and the honey flavor did not come across. The Vegan Strawberry Muffin was much better. I loved the chewy consistency of the inside, and the strawberry pieces added a fresh bite. I don't know if I would come back here for the matcha - it was an unmemorable experience. I met a friend here for lunch/breakfast on a Sunday, which made it easier to find parking around the neighborhood. You order at the counter and then pay and then they bring your food to you. I definitely like this spot because it wasn't as crowded as next-door and I don't like places being too packed! I have had my eye on trying their bean & cheese burrito as I love myself chipotle cream and noticed that is included in their version of this classic dish. So needless to say, I was excited to finally place my order today for lunch. As I got there before my order was ready, I was able to sit near the exit and observe the cooks prep the food in the back. To my dismay I noted that my burrito entails just one very small scoop of beans in one extra-large tortilla. In my attached picture you can see just how little beans I received in this burrito.. for $9.00 I would minimally expect 2 heaping scoops as the cost is nothing near what meat would cost per serving to the food joint!? If they choose to keep this on the menu, I would advise for 2 scoops minimum OR a drastic decrease in price to $4.00 and advertise as a non-fried flauta. Flavor wise, the flavor was lacking and the salt was heavy. I will pass on this moving forward and I suggest you do the same. read more

I asked for an ice caramel macchiato they said they don't have that but instead vanilla and macadamia which was fine the only issue is they gave me the drink in the picture below and claimed this is an ice vanilla macchiato but from my understanding this is just an americano anyways they didn't want to deal with me so just dismissed me. and this was 7 dollars. In short: this is their rendition of a 7 dollar iced vanilla macchiato with oat milk. I haven't even taken a sip of the drink in question. This is just how it came. Visited this spot for the first time a couple weeks ago. Got a recommendation online to try out their matcha out. I stopped in around 10am on a Wednesday and it was definitely a bit busy! The wait was about 10 minutes or less so not too bad. I ordered a matcha and a half lox bagel to go. The matcha was pre made which I wasn't expecting. I'm used to ordering my matches and having them made right after. Overall the matcha was just okay. Not terrible but not amazing either. It definitely had a strong nutty flavor which I wasn't really used to honestly. My bagel came out in about 8-10 mins after ordering, so didn't have to wait too long for it thankfully. The bagel was super delicious though! It really seemed as if the bagel was made from scratch and not store bought which I love. I was going to order a pastry instead of a bagel but when I looked in the glass for their selection I wasn't too pleased to see there were a bunch of gnats flying all over their pastries. I understand this happens something but I think food establishments should do whatever they can to prevent things like this from happening.
