    Brazilian Matcha Lemonade
    Karissa L.

First time at Leilo Culver City and I loved the vibe. The space has a warm, terracotta, New Mexico-inspired aesthetic that feels really thoughtfully designed. I ordered the Brazilian matcha lemonade with condensed milk (half sweet) and it was delicious refreshing with just the right balance. The staff suggested half sweet for me since I said I wanted a balance, and half sweet was perfect. 5/5 It's a great alternative to being right in downtown Culver City, where parking can be tougher. The interior is small and cozy, but there's shaded outdoor seating that makes it easy to linger. Perfect spot to bring a book or catch up with a friend.

I'm not usually in Culver City but if I'm ever back I'll definitely stop by again. This little shop is in the corner of a neighborhood entrance. Very quiet and clean and cute! You can definitely find street parking with only a short walk to the shop. The vibes were amazing. I went early and was there for a bit so I saw it go from only a few people to lines outside the store. They have both indoor and outdoor seating so you have options. Looks like there is also a bathroom available inside. The workers were super attentive and welcoming. The music was 10/10. Now, the coffee. Their iced cappuccino comes in small cup but it's honestly perfect for me. They have the classics and their own specialities. I really enjoyed the drink I got and the pastry was SO good. Paid $12 for both which I found pretty fair. Definitely recommend stopping by :)

Strawberry matcha latte with almond milk

Adorable little coffee shop in Culver City with lots of seating inside and out, I went early afternoon and it wasn't too crowded. I got the strawberry matcha latte with almond milk which is on the more expensive side but is a decent size. The strawberry tasted so fresh, just a little difficult to stir into the matcha but still delicious. Would totally come back here and sit on their patio!

Creative, cute, convenient coffee! My "4C's". Easy free street parking, a few tables, the barista bros are cool. They have some creative ideas, the carrot cake latte is good, but I didn't sense any "carrot ". Orange velvet has a nice foam texture, but while I've had better "orange lattes" this was fine. I prefer a more espresso with orange zest based orange latte. Lots of fancy coffee beans to purchase and I really like the vibe here.

This review is purely based on their matcha. I think their matcha is above average for west side standards, but below average in comparison to ktown matcha spots. I loved the hint of Jasmine flavor on their Matcha Snow, but the matcha itself was a bit grainy and grassy in my opinion. Extra points for ambiance and because the baristas were so kind and amazing.

Leilo Coffee is a very nice neighborhood spot very close to Culver Blvd and Overland. There really isn't much else there around it. Unfortunately there's not a lot of parking which can be a problem. We tried to go early one day and it was packed. When we couldn't find a place to park we decided it just wasn't our day. Ended up coming back later on a Sunday afternoon when the line was gone. It looks nice on the inside, on the modern side but not so minimalist as a Blue Bottle. The colors were well chosen. There is a fair amount of seating with small round metal tables inside. Outside it was very comfortable with nice tables and chairs. It was very shady on the East side in the afternoon, actually quite pleasant. The latte I had was respectable. The pastries we had were very solid also (cardamon bun and butter croissant). While I might not consider it one of my top coffee "destinations", Leilo is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Small cute coffee shop in Culver City! The location is rather small with few seats inside, however there is plenty of seating to use outdoors so it's a great way to maximize their space. Staff was friendly and welcoming and super helpful with choices for first timers. I stopped by because I was attending a pop up and had the luxury of trying the carrot cake latte. It was sweet rich and delicious and definitely taste like a carrot cake in a cup with a shot of espresso! It was the perfect mix of a sweet treat and a coffee it was a perfect balance. It comes with a cream cheese foam but I ordered a "mara blue spirulina" top instead. I'll definitely be returning to order this again and try other items on the menu!

Amazing little coffee shop! The service was excellent, we got recommended a different drink each based on what we told them and they all exceeded expectations. We got the carrot cake latte which was very unique. The cream cheese foam and biscoff bits were a great addition. The carrot cake taste is not that evident but the pairing is good. The matcha snow was also delicious. I got a coconut foam edition they had and it made my matcha have a lovely texture and a great coconut flavor. We also got the strawberry matcha and the strawberry flavor was one of the better ones I've tasted. It's not too artificial and the texture is velvety and smooth. The store is also really cute and has some indoor seating as well as some outdoor tables.

Super cool spot with very friendly staff. The place was hopping both days I visited--and I came two days in a row because I loved it. It's a corner café in a quiet neighborhood, and you can tell it's a local favorite; everyone seemed to know everyone. The first day I had an iced latte with oat milk and honey--super good, very creamy, with just the right amount of honey. The next day I tried the drip coffee, which was excellent as well. My only minor complaint was that refills cost extra. I totally understand, I was just hoping for a free refill since many places offer that--but it didn't take away from the experience. If you're looking for a friendly, relaxed place to sit down and enjoy a great cup of coffee, I highly recommend this spot. Coach "aka the coffee guy" Berokoff

iced matcha latte & hojicha latte w/cold foam
    Sydney B.

Newly opened cafe that's a great addition to the neighborhood. Coffee drinks are solid (my friend swears by their cortado) & there's a decent amount of indoor & outdoor seating. The strawberry matcha & iced matcha with cold foam were both decent, but would expect more matcha for the price point. I also tried their iced hojicha latte with cold foam & it did not taste nor look like there was an acceptable amount of hojicha powder--would not recommend that particular drink. Ample free & easy street parking.

Stopped by Leilo Coffee in Culver City and loved their aesthetic! The place has such a warm, welcoming vibe. The coffee is delicious, even though I only go for a basic iced latte with whole milk and no sweetener, you can still taste good quality coffee, where its not overpowered by a lot of milk. The staff is kind and attentive and the shop is clean, cozy, and the perfect spot to relax, work, or grab something quick on the go.

    Carrot Cake Latte, Hot

Leilo is definitely busy on a Saturday morning but the shop is modern and they have outdoor seating to enjoy your drinks as well! We keep coming back for the same drink: carrot cake latte served hot! The cream cheese foam is delicious with the biscoff and sea salt topping, it's such a treat!

Soft opening recently, estimated mid December launch. Most of the coffee drinks are available, and they were great. No food available yet, no pour overs or drip coffees available yet. Metered street parking, free on the weekend. Would return to see what changes

CHAGEE Modern Teahouse is a modern Chinese tea concept that focuses on tea-forward drinks rather…read morethan the typical overly sweet bubble tea experience. We walked into a polished, contemporary space with a premium feel, the kind of place that feels closer to a specialty tea café than a traditional boba shop. The branding, presentation, and overall atmosphere are a big part of the appeal, creating a space that feels designed for both grabbing a drink and hanging out. The interior is clean and intentional, with a design that elevates the experience beyond a typical tea stop. The biggest strength of CHAGEE is the tea quality. The drinks tend to highlight the actual tea flavor, which makes them stand out from many milk tea shops that rely heavily on sugar or toppings. The jasmine-based drinks are a good example, with a fragrant floral profile that comes through clearly without being perfumed. The menu has a nice balance between classic milk teas and more unique tea creations. The drinks are generally less sweet and more focused on the tea itself, so it works well for anyone who wants something different from standard boba. The downside is that the drinks can feel a little expensive compared to other tea shops, especially since most of the appeal comes from the quality of the tea rather than large portions or lots of toppings. The portions are reasonable, but the cost reflects the premium positioning of the brand. The main issue with CHAGEE is consistency and wait times. Some locations can get extremely crowded, and the popularity sometimes creates long lines that make the experience less convenient. The ordering process is usually organized, but the wait can be difficult to justify when the final drink is more of a solid tea experience rather than something completely unique. Service is generally friendly, and the staff seem well trained despite the busy environment. They handle the flow efficiently, but the volume can test the operation's capacity. CHAGEE feels like a premium tea shop aimed at people who appreciate the flavor of tea itself. It is not necessarily the place to go if you want a dessert-like boba drink loaded with toppings, but it is a good option for jasmine tea, oolong, and more refined milk tea flavors. The atmosphere and presentation add to the experience, though the long waits and higher prices may determine whether it becomes a regular stop or just a place to try once. For what it does, it executes the concept well, offering a drink that feels more like a tea experience than a sugary treat.

I wanted to give Chagee a try because of all the hype, but overall, I found it just okay…read more One of my biggest frustrations was that some drinks don't allow you to customize the ice level or sweetness, which is something I generally expect from a tea or boba shop. Being able to adjust a drink to your personal preference is a big part of the experience for me. The store itself is beautiful and clearly designed with social media in mind. It's stylish, modern, and definitely very Instagram-friendly. However, it felt like the focus was more on the branding and aesthetics than on the tea itself. The drinks were decent, but nothing particularly memorable. If you're looking for a trendy spot to take photos or see what the buzz is about, it might be worth a visit. But if you're a serious tea drinker or looking for what I'd consider a true boba tea shop experience, I probably wouldn't recommend it as my first choice.

And the soft serve ice cream itself was so good. Plenty of options you can't go wrong with original Hokey Pokey and the butter pecan (which also had a whipped topping that wasn't too heavy at all) which were my favorites. That texture! That crunch! The only downside was that I couldn't get it decaf since it's matcha, and they didn't offer non-fat milk either. However, the cashier was friendly. She asked what kind of milk I preferred and brought up the Olive Young promo, asking if I was going to wait in line. When I told them I wasn't sure yet, she gave me a good tip: she said if I didn't want to wait, I could just show the green Olive Young card to the security guard to get the goodie bag. Despite that little mix-up, the cashier was very sweet and the matcha latte was good so I'm satisfied overall. I just really wish they had a decaf option! cf) One other disappointing thing was that the Asian woman who had been very unfriendly during my previous visit was still working there making coffee.
