It's my new favorite, local cafe. The service is always kind and friendly. They are exceptionally quick with service and getting your drink to you. Always helpful. Always personable. It gets busy in waves but somehow I always find a spot to enjoy, relax, and write. I will typically get an espresso tonic or Iced Americano with a lavender cream top if I'm feelin fancy. My impression of the place is that it's airy, with large windows in an industrial modern looking building. Immediately entering the shop, I was greeted with the smell of fragrant coffee. The barista was helpful in sharing all the matcha options I could get so I chose the matcha with lavender syrup. The matcha had a deep green color and blended nicely with a hint of lavender so it wasn't too sweet. Price point felt a bit higher for the flavored matcha options. Easy street parking in the neighborhoods. Went in the afternoon so it wasn't that busy. The outdoor patio was gorgeous, spacious, and had a really cute aesthetic. There is plenty of seating outdoors and indoors as well as street parking ranging from 1-2 hours. The outdoor seating is absolutely beautiful as there are plenty of plants and the building itself is quite modern and a comfortable space to do work or to chat with friends or family. Their espresso is good and their staff is very welcoming as they engage with each customer that has a story to tell and maintain a relationship with their regulars. However, their matcha isn't worth trying and I expected more from the guava as it leaned towards more of a smoothie texture. read more

I don't know when Muso opened in West Adams but I made it here in January 2025 and wish I'd discovered them sooner. I came here around 9:30 am on a Sunday morning and the coffeeshop was super quiet. There was no line to order and the staff who were working were friendly and welcoming. There are a couple of seats inside the coffeeshop but it's very tight inside. Most of the seating is outdoors, and there are a mixture of low tables and chairs, as well as benches that are more optimal for anyone who wants to work on a laptop. I got two drinks, which came out very quickly. I got the coconut matcha cream top and the chai latte. Both were excellent. The coconut matcha would be a refreshing drink on a hotter day. The chai latte was comforting, and not super sweet as they can be sometimes. I'd rank this as one of my favorite coffee shops in LA and will be back. read more

mu.sō Coffee is such a beautiful addition to the West Adams area. The space is clean and modern, with a calm, welcoming vibe that makes it a great place to relax or get a little work done. Although the shop itself is on the smaller side, there's a large outdoor patio that gives you plenty of space to sit and enjoy your coffee. Dogs are welcome, and you'll usually see plenty of them on weekends. The coffee is consistently delicious, and I love their creative cold foams, which are usually seasonal and always fun to try. Lychee nectar has that sour profile so I wished the matcha foam was a tad sweeter to negate that. And the guava puree was on the tart side as well so I wished that to be a bit sweeter too. The first thing that's undeniable at this place is how beautifully it's designed. I'm a big fan of the minimalist storefront and interior, while still maintaining personality through the fridge of offerings (never seen a fridge burrito in a cafe), cozy seating, and some books to flip through while enjoying your drink. The outdoor seating area of course is a huge up - great for studying, reading, or a weekend yap session with a good friend. Onto the drink - I got a Lavender Cream Top Americano. Drinks overall are on the pricier side and this wasn't an exception, but I could at least tell the coffee quality was good! The lavender cream is also quite tasty and and the shop doesn't skimp on the amount to allow you taste the drink as a whole rather then as two separate layers. The owner was prompt at taking our order and could tell the team was working efficiently together on a busy Saturday afternoon. Slight nitpick, but would've liked maybe just some info on the bag of beans for sale even if it's not a huge draw if the shop, even just stating it's the shop's espresso blend would be nice to know for those who might want a bag. read more

last week I went here with my coworker to try out some drinks, and I had my eye on the guava matcha. the place itself is very nice inside and outside too. there's a lot of tables outside that get the right amount of sunlight and it's a bit tucked away from the street view which is great. they have a bathroom downstairs that I believe they share with another business, just ask for the key. street parking is available around the cafe. so I ordered my guava matcha while she ordered the dutch mocha, and then we both got the Virtu protein bowls which I have had at another cafe (I think Virtu makes their bowls in an unknown location then sells them to cafes), it's always tasty just expensive lol. the matcha was honestly not my fav! the guava flavor at the bottom was delicious and fruity, but the matcha had no sweetness whatsoever so once the guava was mixed in, the drink tasted like nothing. I had to add some simple syrup at their little drink station but I wish it already had come a bit sweet. my coworker did enjoy the dutch mocha but she also had the same complaint as I did, it was barely sweet. that's really the only downside but I suppose it's good if you like your drinks without any sugar at all lol. read more

mu.so coffee is a very cool and modern coffee shop in West Adams with some unique drinks. To get here, they do have their own small parking lot or a good amount of street parking all around the area. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different pastries, coffee, and matcha to choose from. I ended up getting the Lychee Nectar Matcha Cream Top and it did not disappoint! Came here for their famous guava matcha latte since I was in the area and had a few hours to kill. They do have their own parking lot in the back but I found free street parking the block prior and walked over. The entrance is slightly hidden but there is a sign marking where to head into. There is a bunch of outdoor seating, both in the front and back of the cafe, but limited indoor seating. Because it's further close-ish to the ocean, it can definitely get chilly here with the wind even on sunnier days so I definitely recommend bringing a jacket. Service was super quick. Guava matcha latte 2/5, I am so sad to report that this is not good :( the guava by itself is sweet and tastes great! the matcha by itself is bitter and a more traditional matcha! but together?? unfortunately they just did not blend well for me :( With all the good reviews, I would recommend getting a regular matcha instead. read more

This review is specially for the matcha, and I would not recommend this cafe for it. We tried the guava and double iced matchas and they were pretty small for being $7.50 plus paying for oat milk. The guava puree was very good and didn't taste artificial, without it the matcha was almost undrinkable though. The double matcha was not sweetened at all which I'm not sure if I had to ask. It was bitter but also very subtle. The barista seemed to have a slight attitude as if he was almost annoyed to take our order, and we were pretty bummed we came around 2pm and they had no pastries. Mixing the puree with the matcha was good since the puree sweetened the matcha and provided a nice fruitiness. I was staying in the local area and was very eager to check out a new coffee spot. This immediately caught my eye on Yelp and it did not disappoint when I arrived in person. I LOVE the outdoor area - there are many seats and tables to just enjoy the outdoors with your delicious cup of coffee. The interior has this minimalist industrial design and feel to it - very simple, very clean. There is some seating inside as well. It's a vibe, especially if you want to get some work done or just hang out with a friend! I ordered the lavender latte and a plain croissant and both were very good! The lavender wasn't as strong but the flavor of the coffee had so much depth and was really hitting the spot. I've had better croissants but this one wasn't too bad. The only thing is that the cup sizes feel pretty small and I believe they only serve in one size lol but I'm also someone who really likes to have a lot of coffee especially when it's good haha.
