Their pricing isn't cheap or unreasonably expensive either, so for the quality and consistency, I would say it's worth returning. Last time I got their strawberry espresso latte. They are really good at making their flavors come out. I prefer less sweet drinks so I consider their drinks to be on the sweeter side for me, but I wouldn't think the average person considers them to be too sweet. Came here with my dog to get coffee and read on a Sunday morning. I heard about this coffeeshop from a friend who told me it is Kiwi-owned and wanted to try it out. The ambiance is bright and casual. I really like that it is dog-friendly, a lot of cute dogs were hanging around. They have both an indoor area and a small outdoor seating area. I got the iced strawberry latte and an iced latte today. A random toddler potty break on a trip from The Valley to OC lead me here and I am SO grateful for that! I ordered a Honey Chai w/almond milk and my mom ordered a strawberry cappuccino and I can honestly say that we were both blown away by our drinks. I truly believe it was one of the best chai's I have EVER had; I am a chai snob lol I know when the baristas ratios are not hitting! If you like Mad Lab's creamsicle latte come on over and try the mushroom coffee version (I was previously a hater of mushroom coffee but kind grounds version has turned me). In respects to the service and ambiance, based on my eavesdropping (lol), it seems they have several regulars who've they taken time to build connections with. And folks like me who are new, are greeted with "welcome to kind grounds!" once they've realized you're new here - so sweet. I. There is street parking out front and off to the side of the building down the alleyway there are two 30 minute spots for customers only. The pastry case and pies looked really inviting, definitely something to try next time. I opted for an iced strawberry vanilla latte. It is made with strawberry puree and vanilla syrup. My drink came out pretty given the rush of orders in front of me. You can choose hot or iced, espresso or matcha, and your type of milk. I opted for espresso, iced, and non fat milk. If you like a sweet treat then this drink is for you! The strawberry puree was a great touch and I want to quickly drink the latte instead of savoring. I saw some other drinks on the menu that looked fun including a boysenberry honey drink that I had my eye on. This is a really cute coffee shop. I ordered from their specialty menu, and my drink was delicious. One thing I noticed while ordering was that I forgot to mention which size I wanted. I think their drinks come in 8, 12, and 16 ounces. I got a little too excited and moved on to ordering my food after picking the milk option I wanted. The server didn't ask what size I wanted and just gave me the 16 ounce, which is obviously the more expensive one. I didn't mind too much, but it would have been nice if she checked with me before finalizing the drink. I ordered the ham and cheese breakfast sandwich, and it came in a big portion. It looked great, but the taste was just okay. Not a lot of flavors coming from the bread, cheese or ham. Just sort of dull and big. There isn't a lot of indoor seating, and they have a small back patio. I had to sit outside because all the indoor seats were taken. I asked the staff if there were any outlets outside since my laptop was dying. They told me there are basically no outdoor plugs, except for one behind the door leading outside, which is too far from the tables to use while working. That was a big letdown. Also, I hate to say it, but the staff didn't seem super friendly. Not rude or anything, just kind of flat and not super welcoming. It made asking simple questions feel weird. read more
